Nothing is ever bad here. I eat here like five times a month. I go in just for the sushi and hibachi. There's one dude who works the hibachi who I think is even kind of getting to know me, lol. I'm glad for it because he's the best hibachi chef there so far. He cooks the squid just right. I always leave a tip! I don't bother with any other Chinese buffet anymore. This is my second time here. The first time was okay. Today's experience was awful. The cook at the Mongolian Grill cooked the food, grabbed a plate, used his finger nail to scratch something off it and his palm to wipe the ick off the plate. He proceeded to place my food on the plate and I asked for another plate. He dropped some on the icky plate but was able to get most of it on another plate beside it. I went to the Manager to explain what happened and was told the cook was new. Do they not teach them sanitary basics? Needless to say, won't be going back again. Nasty!! read more

Moved here almost a year and half ago from Hawaii and wanted to try a buffet. My mom just flew in two days ago from Hawaii and wanted to try this place. We went today during lunch. This place was fairly big. I really enjoyed the selection. It had a fair amount of seafood which I enjoyed. I enjoyed the shrimp the best. I was a bit disappointed because there wasn't much selection from The sushi bar like in the picture and there wasn't any oysters. Maybe it was due to dinner time? But for the weekend with prices I did expect more sushi and oysters. But overall I would return to this place. The shrimp was the best for me and the other selections were good. The imitation crab with cheese was good too but I wished it was made with real crab meat. Also I couldn't understand what our waitress was saying when I asked her about military discount. I wanted to know if there was any military discount for the future just in case I didn't have any of the coupons since we only get coupons in the mail once in a while. I think she was tryna tell me military discount is only twice a week? I'll be returning to this place. I also love that we can do a to go plate too!! 4 stars. The selection is pretty standard for a Chinese buffet with a few tasty surprises here and there. I am completely addicted to the honey chicken and find it on every plate I bring back to my table. I have to say for buffet Asian food it is great, a wide selection and never waiting for a dish to be replenished on the bar. It is not my go to as it is just okay compared to some of the made to order places. The manager is engaging and got a good laugh out of us. I guess because I have been accustom to really good Chinese food in New England and New York that I really didn't care for this place. It's clean and the servers are really nice, but the food is not good. The fried rice barley had color to it. The noodles were sugary. I only ate one plate because I got full off of a roll and chicken sticks and barley ate anything else. If your expecting the best Chinese food please avoid this place. read more

I have been eating at the Asian King Buffet near the north east mall for as long as I can remember. The food is outstanding, my favorite has to be the pepper and salt shrimp. I usually go there with my family, and usually we are around 7 people, but once in awhile I go there with my friends. I'm not sure if the waiters are instructed to stand by our table and watch us eat or something, but it makes us uncomfortable. One time before we even got the chance to sit down they said we had to pay and that they do it to everyone, but when I go with my family that issue never comes up. I really hope that it isn't a race issues because I don't see other people getting treated like. I just came the this Sunday and we had the worst experience ever we came and the first thing that I went to was the desert and salad bar, not only was it big but there were flies in the jello and and salad. I also noticed that the salad was soaked in water to get rid of the flies. The manager also tried to overcharge us over 3 seniors. I would never recommend this restaurant to any one because of the flies and overcharging. I recommend people to always check their receipts and check the buffet before you eat or get food.
