I just realized I've never reviewed this spot!! This is one of our favorites!!! The environment is so inviting and the employees are helpful and efficient. We come here about once a week and have tried a variety of drinks. My favorite is the jasmine matcha oolong and my daughter loves the strawberry cream. Thank you to everyone for always being so kind so my daughter as she dances and pauses for photo ops throughout the shop. read more

Love the decor, theme and the cups for the beverages of Astra! Super on brand and it makes the overall experience that much more fun. Got the Crème Brûlée milk tea and the gf got the matcha cloud with jasmine oolong. Both were delicious and packed tons of flavor. Furthermore, service was impeccable, and they even called us when a specific portion of the drink was unavailable to substitute it with grass jelly :) The also give fun little coupons for your next visit, and also we got some biodegradable and compostable kitchen gloves as a gift! Stopped by Astra Bean in Huntington Beach and tried the Ruby Hibiscus Peach at 60% sweetness. It was still a little sweet for my taste, but the flavor was really good and different from the usual fruit teas. I think it would be even better with a bit less sugar. I also got the Double Mango Comet Camellia, Caramel Brûlée Orbit Milk and really enjoyed it. The sweetness level was just right, and the mango flavor was fresh and fragrant. The shop itself is beautiful, clean, and spacious. My favorite part was actually the presentation. The cups and packaging look high quality and well thought out. Osmanthus Oolong- loved this drink the most out of the 4. Had a floral, moderately strong tea flavor. Jasmine milk tea Crimson Dragon- dragon fruit green tea. A bit tart for me. Galaxy Peach- strong peach tea flavor. Though it's green tea, it tasted like black tea to me. Ordered all of them 30% sweet, no ice. The fruit teas tasted a bit sweeter than we liked at 30%. Boba and Jasmine jelly are pretty good. Would like the boba even softer but would order it again. I liked that they used paper vs. plastic cups. Would definitely come back to this tea joint especially since there aren't that many near Goldenwest College. Has quite a few tables/chairs for small groups. read more

Being a fan of the Astra Bean over at Bolsa/Brookhurst, I was stoked to find "Astra Bean 2" over by Goldenwest College. It's located in a spot that was previously occupied by R&B Tea - a boba cafe. It's an otherwise light-traffic shopping plaza - so compared to the nightmare parking situation over at Astra Bean on Bolsa - you'll have no issues finding parking here. First - there's no King Durian Avocado drink here! That's actually the only drink I've ever gotten at an Astra Bean - so was bummed to not even see it on the menu here. The menu does offer 15 drinks - and the friendly clerks working today when I stopped by helped suggest some drinks based on my likes. I opted for the Matcha Jasmine Oolong - and a Peach HIbiscus. Apparently, they have a BOGO promo from April 1st - April 15th, 2026, where you get a lesser-cost drink free with purchase of a regular priced one. The clerks were able to accommodate my request for less sweet. Both drinks turned out great. I ended up working on my computer here while I worked my way through both drinks. The Matcha Jasmine Oolong had great matcha flavor - the jasmine was non-existent, but I appreciated the caffeine kick of the cold brew base. The Peach Hibiscus was refreshing - albeit more sweeter than I'd like. Plenty of seating - six large tables - great for group studying, especially considering the proximity to Goldenwest College across the street. I didn't test wifi since I needed a secure connection for accessing work apps, so relied on my hotspot. Outlets are far and in between - almost non existent. The outlets I could see were blocked by the bench - but luckily, I always carry around a portable power bank. Cute decor, plenty of parking, friendly staff. I'd definitely be back if I was in the area again. Hope they bring King Durian drink from their Bolsa location over here. read more

Love atra! Everytime i stop by the barista's are always super nice. You can either order wirh the barista or order on the POS self serve system. The interior of the boba shop is super cool, space themed, lots of seats inside to chit chat with friends. I like to get the Oreo matcha here. Wanted some good matcha, I'm from nor cal and this place is near where I'm staying. It was so good we came two days in a row! Service is supper friendly and the drinks are unreal. Pulled up to check out their world cup promo! We got the Comet Grape Camelia, Caramel Brulee Milk, Milky Way Coconut Coffee & the Matcha Cloud Jasmin Oolong. My drink was the milky way with vietnamese coffee and it was so good Place is clean & spacious. Service was great, parking was easy to find & they were playing house bangerssss the whole time we were there. I stopped by the newest location of Astra Bean during their soft opening yesterday and had a great experience here. They are currently running a BOGO deal so you can get 1 free drink with your order! The inside is well designed with the space them and I like the giant asteroid on the side of the wall which is cool for pictures. I got the matcha latte and the smoked vanilla coffee. Both drinks were ready fairly quickly. It's also a good spot to hang out and relax at and clean. I got my drinks with oat milk since they only offer oat milk or lactose free organic milk. The matcha latte was alright. Their matcha quality isn't the best that I've had compared to other shops. The smoked vanilla coffee was my favorite of the two and had a good balance between the coffee and vanilla flavors. One thing I wanted to mention is that they don't seem to fill the drinks all the way to the top and keep it slightly below the top of the lid and that is the case at the other locations as well. read more

I've been wanting to try this location since they open. I love that they are right by me and plenty of easy parking. I went during their BOGO deal and I was more than grateful they still crafted their drinks just as good as any other day. The drinks came out quick and done perfectly. I got their caramel burlee iced milk less sweet with almond milk. It was delicious and came with boba. The burlee on top was really good and came with organic milk. It was creamy and had the perfect amount of sweetness. I recommend it if you like creme burlee. The person I came with got their egg coffee which was even better than mind. I had a sip and yum! The egg topping was done just right and the vietnamese coffee was delicious. And super strong but I like that. They have about 15 drinks on their menu to choose from. I like that you can adjust sweetness level and milk alternatives. They also have different add-ons as well. There's caffeinated and non-caffeinated drinks. I want to come back and try their matcha and strawberry cheese drink. The staff was super nice and fast with our drinks. Astra Bean has some of the most unique boba flavors I've ever tried! The Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea is absolutely a must-try -- the floral aroma mixed with the smooth oolong tea creates such a rich and unforgettable taste. I do recommend the House special milk tea of how strong the tea tastes. Will come back to try more drink, they have so much of new and different drink that not most of boba place had. i was nearby and wanted a fruity drink, so i stopped by here and ordered the acerola dragon fruit with jasmine oolong chewy, which was basically a tea jelly. i would say that my drink tasted more like orange (?) than dragon fruit and was on the sweeter side, but it was still pretty refreshing for a rather warm day! on the day that i went, there was a bogo promo deal, and i had been informed by my friends that they actually have bogo deals pretty often! i also like how this place has a good amount of tables to study at or chill with your friends. overall, i didn't think my drink was anything special, but i would be willing to try it again if i was in the area and there was a bogo promo deal! read more

So, I got the strawberry cheese and it was delicious. BUT! The other drink we got was a mango matcha... it had Cheetos on top. Maybe we should've asked but we were already weirded out because when we were taking our drinks the employee offered us a gift. My friends and I stopped by during their first few weeks of opening, where they had the BOGO promo. I really love their Matcha Jasmine Oolong latte. I really think this is the best Matcha drink if you love matcha, or jasmine milk tea, or matcha and jasmine, or anything with matcha and/or jasmine tea. It is just so good! I tried my friend's avocado durian and it was too sweet for me, and the durian was pretty strong. Another thing I really like at Astra is their banana coffee. They use real banana for their cream top, so it's not those banana custard cream that is made with powder, and have that distinct banana pudding flavor. Their banana cream is with real banana so it's actually a bit white and it tastes so fresh. It's really good iced. Highly recommend! read more

Saw a post on Instagram and decided to try this place. Currently having a promo until 2/8: buy 3 drinks and get a free cyber cup while supplies last. I really liked my minty green cyber cup. I like how it's unique and can stand still on a tilted position. Really liked the spacey vibe and cool decor. I ordered the Berry whisper cascara and it was super refreshing! It was a bit too much ice for me though; I'm pretty sure they're able to do ice and sweetness adjustments. The wait wasn't long for my drinks. Went an hour after opening and it was pretty empty. What a super-quaint spot! Easy to find, open parking, tons of seats inside, and the aesthetic is so cute. The person who made my drink was awesome. I've never been here before and needed suggestions. I told him that I like strong coffee so he suggested the espresso with the Earl Grey flavor. That was so delicious! Then I also wanted to try Matcha so they suggested a Matcha lavender drink. It's definitely nice to hangout or study here with the large tables and outlets! The strawberry cheese (7.5/10) was like a sweet yogurt drink! it kinda reminded me of viet yogurt The oolong green tea (7/10) was pretty good too, you can definitely taste all the flavors. My boyfriend & I wanted to try a new coffee shop / tea shop & found this amazing place! The two workers there were lovely, I believe Alice was one of their names (sorry if I got it wrong). I was having a hard time deciding what I wanted & they were very patient with me. I ended up getting the jasmine oolong milk tea with matcha & my boyfriend got the Ruby Hibiscus tea....they were both soooo delicious! 3.5 stars for overall experience. I ordered the matcha jasmine oolong latte with 50% sweetness. Since it was BOGO, I also got an original milk tea with 50% sweetness. Both drinks were light and refreshing. As far as taste goes, both drinks were decent, but not the best. Love the teas at Astra Bean. We make trips out to Westminster just to pick them up for everyone. Today, we decided to check out their second location and was highly disappointed (plus a bit shocked) that all the drinks are marked up $1 more here! According to the staff, the rent cost more at this location and they are passing that cost to their customers. That's not cool. $8.50 for a drink with boba was a bit of a stretch. The boba was overcooked in our matcha jasmine oolong. I'd recommend going to the original location which is still pretty close by. Only benefit here is the parking situation. read more

Since I wasn't familiar with the layout of this store, I asked if she could tell me where in the back--left, right, straight ahead, etc. She just repeated, "I said it's in the back." As a first-time customer at this location, that wasn't very helpful and honestly made me feel dismissed. Thankfully, the rest of my experience was completely different. I found another employee near the refrigerator section, and he was amazing. He walked me directly to what I was looking for, helped me grab everything I needed, and even carried it up to the register for me. He was incredibly friendly, made me laugh, and genuinely turned my shopping experience around. The cashier was also super sweet, and the manager who was there took the time to ask how my day was going and chatted with me for a bit. Those interactions made the store feel much more welcoming. While my first interaction wasn't great, everyone else I encountered provided excellent customer service and really made up for it. I hope the employee I first spoke with can be reminded that a little kindness and direction go a long way, especially for customers who aren't familiar with the store.

They have a lotto display here as well. Store is clean both inside and out - a lot of liquor stores tend to be messy outside, but it's nice to see they have pride in their upkeep of the premise. Parking is easy - it shares a small lot with a pizza place, salon, and tattoo artist.

No greeting, no explanation, just attitude and unprofessional behavior. The situation only got worse when he failed to give me my change back ( the good costs $15.16 he rounded up to $16). When I brought it up, the response was dismissive, almost like they were doing me a favor by correcting their own mistake. On top of all that, their prices are noticeably higher than other liquor stores in the area. With the way he treated customers, the inflated prices make even less sense. Overall, the customer service was terrible, the attitude was unacceptable, and the pricing is far from competitive. I definitely wouldn't recommend this store to anyone.
