My dad bought a smart phone last week, it was a little confusing for me, so we decided to exchange it for something that would be easier to use. Martin greeted us when we walked in the store and pointed us in the direction of the android phones. He then said he could get the already purchased phone set up so it would be very simple for my dad to use. He removed a bunch of apps he didn't need, made the homepage very basic for the features that my dad uses, was extremely patient, and explained how do use it. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and wasn't annoyed that the Samsung phone was hard for us to use. I am extremely happy with Martin's customer service and my dad was also very impressed with how great he was to work with and how he was able to simply explain things to us. We walked up and the door came open. We were greeted outside the door by Nolan. He informed us that "due to COVID, they are at a 1:1 ratio inside the store and if husband wanted to join, we'd have to sit outside because they were at max capacity inside." UNDERSTANDABLE. Let me mention that it was cold & raining as we are outside. Oh and we got to witness a crackhead swear at the world and threaten people. We are outside for a great while and I ask Nolan if I could go inside to check out the accessories for the new phone. I crap you not... I go inside and there are 4 employees hanging around chatting it up!! FOUR! No customers. Just them standing around doing nothing. Here we are... me, my husband and Nolan OUTSIDE in the cold and rain doing business. I came out and asked Nolan if we could go inside and he had to check with his manager. We ended up inside and Nolan explained that management had to make sure they were following "protocol" & "social distancing". Again... understandable. But the ones standing around with their phones in their hands not assisting a customer should suffer in the cold. Not the ones doing business. Nolan on the other hand was AMAZING. I felt he was HONEST (which is hard to come by in this industry), knowledgeable and VERY patient. I would highly recommend Nolan. read more

Scheduled an appointment to get help in store because when I called to discuss my account issues over the phone and I was instructed I had to go in store to get help. When I walked into this location multiple associates were sitting down not doing anything and told me I'd be helped in a few minutes while they continued laughing about whatever work they weren't doing. Eli approached me right away after that, which I completely appreciate but he wasn't able to help me. Said he can't access my account and doesn't have the technology to, but the representative that I spoke to on my previous phone call told me I had to go into a store to resolve my issues. I asked to speak to a manager but he was conveniently on a phone call. I was told I can wait, but I don't have time to waste. This wasn't helpful at all. None of my issues are resolved and I don't feel like I want to work with ATT anymore. I've had issues after issue regarding my account and nothing has been fixed. Worst experience ever. I work 3 full time jobs and don't have time to waste on situations like this. Totally would give 0 stars if I could. I had to go to T-Mobile in Santee because my work phone is through them. I walked right inside, no big deal, they helped me and off I went. Other retail stores have figured COVID rules out, not this store, they act as if it were the first week of lockdown. The customer service at this location is subpar. I have dealt with Ellie twice now and he so arrogant it is difficult to talk with him. He has this "I know everything "you're wrong I am right" attitude. I suggest using a different service provider altogether. I was with Verizon before switching to ATT and never had a problem. Only switched because my wife was with them and she was in a contract so it saved us a little money at the time. So not worth it with all the trouble we have had with them. read more

Do not purchase accessories on sale from this store. They are not guaranteed to work. On top of that, they won't do anything about it if they don't. They sold me items that were not useable and then when I went to return them a couple weeks later, they said "we can't take those back, we don't sell those anymore". They told me to deal with the manufacturer. I spent an hour in the store and so far 2 hours being passed around on the phone, only to be told to go back to the store. I am a new customer who just switched over from another company and this is my first experience with ATT. Clearly a bad choice to switch companies. read more

Horrible customer service, I had them do an install a week ago. One of the boxes is malfunctioning so I went back to the store. I was told that in the first two weeks I have to go through the installer for service. Thats a nice thought but he wont answer his phone, I contacted his boss and also have had no results. I called att customer service and was told by the person in another country that he is sure all is fine and I am not having any issues. Well I am having issues, there is no sound and the picture freezes on one of the boxes while the other is fine. Obviously an equipment failure but they wont respond. Next week I am going to call Cox and see if they can come out and reinstall their service. read more

I came here to switch over from Metro PCS to AT&T. Best decision I made in a while. The service is 5g unlimited for $45 a month for one line with the prepaid plan and $10 more with a hot spot added. The employee Cecilia was super helpful, patient, and positive she spent over two hours with me and my boyfriend. As he was switching over from TMobible as well but was looking for a separate plan. It took so long because our companies didn't want to let go of our numbers from what I can tell but I'm not sure. Any who she solved are problems and got us switched over. And we get service in the boonies which is what we needed. 100% RECOMMEND. read more

Today I came in and said give me the I pad we talked about last night. We got everything set up and went to check out and they tried to charge me $199. Both times, after a long wait, manager told reps not to assist me - even though store reps & 800 line reps said they could. I Shouldve left this review 5 Months ago, compared to my review and experience with the Clairemont town square AT&T store, which I bought my 2 new iPhones at and one was defective out of the box. The store didnt help but offer me a refurbished phone (claiemont store) called the Santee store before I wasted more time driving around and waiting and getting run around, Santee store reassured me that AT&T stores are responsible for refund within 2 weeks of purchasing phone from them. I went in and with no trouble, actually they were surprised about Clairemont store experience and even called the manager over there about my complaint, gave me a new phone, and refund that I had been charged for repackaging fees. The first time I went in needing help to switch my family plan from T-Mobile over to AT&T. They were helpful and made the whole process seamless. I've had countless of horrible experiences with T-Mobile and was blown away by AT&T's customer service. The second time, I was experiencing issues with my iPhone 6. The phone wasn't able to load some of my apps and the Maps was a bit wonky. Luckily Cecilia came to my aid and was able to work her magic on my phone. Came with my mom to replace her glass screen protector that she has a lifetime warranty on. Customer service on the phone told her to go right to the store and replace it. When we get to the store they kept saying no, that always goes through the manufacturer. Even the manager was refusing to replace it for my mom even though customer service told her differently. I only took one star away because they didn't have the screen protector I wanted and they didn't have a big selection of cases and did have many color options for phones. I really do not know how to start my review. First of all, I wish I can give AT&T 0 Stars if it was a possible option. They provide the worst data coverage. LTE signal in their Santee, CA Store was literally 1 bar out of 5. I'd NEVER EVER recommend them to sensible/wise person. Verizon has the best coverage as they offer 4G LTE Advanced which is literally 50% faster than any other LTE Network in the United States. Verizon's Data Plans are even more affordable than AT&T. I noticed that customers are treated unpleasantly (felt like a nuisance or inconvenience or felt stupid). I didn't switch to smartphone until 2016 so this is the first time for upgrade. I decided to pay off my old iPhone and upgrade to 7 using the same carrier. The mira mess AT&T store help me purchase the new iPhone but did not tell me how to unlock the SIM of my fully paid off SE. So I inquired from a staff in this branch. The staff is somewhat helpful but couldn't wait to get rid off me. I was doing all the work but he showed no patience at all. At&t has the worst customer service. They lied to me twice, they didn't even set up our services when the appointment was originally set up. When I called them to speak to them about it they were rude. The cell service was horrible and we couldn't even use our phones. Then when we were told to call about our rewards they lied about that too and now are telling me they cannot even help me with it. They also will not help us with any cancellation fees. I highly recommend choosing a different Internet/TV provider. Save yourself because we are screwed for two and a half more years.
