My experience at this AT&T store was beyond exceptional. While this sounds overblown, from what I had experienced prior to entering this store, the efforts I witnessed from Troy and Evan at this store stood out. I was having difficulty with a matter that came with my switching my service to another carrier from AT&T. I found that when I called customer service, there was little the person on the other end of the line could/would do. I was even told that, after checking with a manager, my dilemma was unable to be resolved. Undeterred, I knew someone could help if they CHOSE to do so. I went into the UVillage AT&T and, upon entering, Troy heard me out. He said he wasn't sure if he could resolve my issue, but assured me there were things he could try and that he would do so. He communicated with one of the other store reps and that individual, Evan, wholly took ownership of the dilemma. He made phone calls and problem solved in a manner that can only be done from the inside. He was able to exhaust his resources and, in doing so, helped me resolve my issue. This was a matter that benefitted the company by representing it SO exceptionally. I don't know how long I will stay with my current carrier, but if there is an inkling to switch, we are going to AT&T because of this experience. Thank you Troy and Evan. You two are an asset to any company with which you are a part. I hope you enjoy the fruits of the diligence, resourcefulness and pride in work that I observed. Thank you. read more

at UNIVERSITY VILLAGE AT&T: WE'VE NEVER HAD SUCH CONSISTENTLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ANY TYPE OF RETAILER. again this review is regarding the AT&T at University Village Seattle. We have been doing business with this location for the past several years on behalf of our whole family & our family owned business. I cannot more fully recommend going elsewhere. YES - they are good at the initial sale of items and packages......... however after that it only goes downhill. Most recently we had a defective blue tooth hands free car speaker that needed to be refunded/replaced. When we went in we opted for replacement and since it was around the holidays they were completely out of stock. So they gave us a receipt that outlined they would replace the item. They told us to come back when it was convenient (which was some months later) and they would replace it. So when I went back in with the receipt and the defective item - they flat out refused to replace it as it was now beyond its' one year warranty period (also note that during the initial months of owning it, I had to go in numerous times because it would not work and they were adamant about seeing if they could get it to work which if they could they refused to replace it. They would tinker with it each time until it would finally work once again - for a day or two.....). I talked to a floor person, he went back to talk to the manager and came out and said that the manager said "no". So I asked to talk to the manager and what I got was a female floor person 'posing' as the manager (later found out she was not the manager) with so much nasty attitude and absolute refusal to honor their very own store generated receipt to replace my item! They seem as corrupt as the banks this place. I say that based on this experience and also other experiences with i-phone problems etc and their complete unwillingness to back their products up. Their supposed 1 year warranty is a sham based on our experience with multiple products that have had issues. Either they write the issue off as responsibility of the company making it and literally tell us that we will have to contact: apple, jabra, etc etc etc directly as they will not handle it, or as mentioned earlier - they will finally put their attention into something with the sole focus to get it to work - even if briefly - to say "see it's working now, you don't need to replace it, we won't replace it since it is working". RUN from this place. AT&T may be ok, however NOTHING from this store location and their modus operandi which seems to be "THE CUSTOMER IS NEVER CORRECT" and no conscious whatsoever on making good on their products and what they sell. This store location simply deserves to go out of business and wither away. Their customer service and everything else is as greedy and bad as the banks are worldwide these days!!! If you are a college kid - and money is highly budgeted - or you are anyone where every penny is crucial - don't invest it in products or phone plans here. Do it elsewhere even if you have to drive 1/2 way across town. It will save you more money by far in the end. To repeat: We've never had such consistently bad customer service anywhere. read more

The worst store with the worst customer service. Over the last year they have sold me a phone and Filip watch that do not work together (then insisted they did work until we proved otherwise- no apology); they gave my son a female escorts old phone # (!!!), again no apology; then they sold the wrong stylus for my husbands phone, then made me wait behind people getting new phones, fixing their phones- just for a 3 minute return! I suggest finding a different AT&T store, I will never step foot there again. read more

I went to the AT&T store simply trying to have my phone unlocked so it could accept an international SIM card. AT&T failed me TWICE in trying to accomplish this. The first time I entered the store, they told me to call customer care. When customer care was incompetent, I went back to the same AT&T store. When I entered the store the second time, I was greeted by a very nice employee and he began to help me. However, when another customer entered the store, this employee went to help him and left me alone. After 10 minutes of waiting, his colleague was instructed to takeover my problem. This colleague was completely useless and told me that he did not know how to help me and that we would have to wait for the original employee to be finished with the other customer. So, I sat there for about 30 minutes alone, waiting for the original employee to finish with the customer that he left me to help. Even though this customer came AFTER me. Three other employees (including the manager) just sat there starring at me, refusing to help, and waiting for what appeared to be the only competent employee. I was completely ignored and disregarded. If you need help with your phone, go anywhere but here. The employees are lazy, incompetent, and have no sense of urgency. read more

Such nice people that really seem interested in your needs. Yes it's a busy store, but worth the wait. We came out smiling, feeling good and all, yes all our questions were answered. These techs are very well trained, they did not have to go ask, get permission, they fixed our problem, and spent time so we understood and could make good decisions for our business. I was looking for a new phone and had asked a nice salesman if he could charge my dead phone while I looked. I really needed to use my phone as soon as possible and asked another salesman if he could give me my phone which was right behind him. He rudely said he was with another customer and would get to me shortly. it would have taken him one second. I almost burst with anger at his bitchy smugness. I have done retail and would never ever treat a customer like that. I hope he gets fired, because he deserves it. I also was somewhat ignored in general, probably because I was dressed to walk my dogs and looked like I didn't have money. Don't judge a book by its cover you pompous loser. read more

Bad, avoid. Unpleasant time. The sales guy was really no fun. I don't know if it was some sort of attempted sales tactic, but they made it pretty clear they didn't think much of my ability to choose a phone. AT&T if you call or chat with them have very good customer service, but go to the downtown one in Pacific Place where you are, in my experience, likely to have a better time. read more

I went in with my son to buy him a new case for his phone. I worked with Sudipti and she was incredible. There was a special Direct TV offering and I signed up. Sudipti and manager Zaid walked me thru the process of linking the accounts together. No question was a stupid question, they were so very helpful. I went to this location to do an upgrade and the sales rep was very rude as if I was an inconvenience? She told me about the next plan and kept trying to get me to switch, but I told her I didn't want to change my plan so she kept giving me an attitude after that. My experience at this store was horrible I would NEVER recommend Melanie to anybody! She seriously has an attitude problem and needs to learn about quality customer service. I can't believe AT&T hires people like her they need to do better screenings because she does not deserve her job! read more

I was almost going to quit my relationship with AT&T from 4+ years, and move on due to so much of overcharges and so many billing issues costing me time and money. Also poor experience at other stores I used to frequently visit near my work or home which are these days really arrogant and pushy. It's Zaid and his incredible team because of whom it felt to me that I am important to AT&T again as a customer. They get anything and everything fixed with always welcoming attitude. I would only work with this team going forward and suggest you all go to university village and genuinely get experienced the best in whatever you want to get worked on. read more

The one star is for AT&T's return policy, not this specific store. I bought a cheapie pay as you go phone with a bad battery that would not hold a charge. Soon, even when plugged in, all I could get was a white screen. So I brought it back to the University store that sold it to me. Wrong move, this is the big corporate world. Not their department. For returns I'd have to go downtown to the Device Support Center. Like I have all this free time on my hands. I bought the phone in good faith. I'd expect any reasonable company to take responsibility, take the product back and send it in themselves for a replacement. Or offer me a choice... read more

My dad went to the At&t store at the University Village and the manager Nick was exceptionally rude and would not let him finish a sentence to explain what the issue was or to address the problem. My dad said if he wouldn't let him finish a sentence then he would leave and Nick said please get out of his store. So rude. AT&T does not understand the meaning of customer service. read more

After we spotted a problem with our bill (caused by an employee who is apparently no longer with the company), we went to the AT&T store for help. Neima worked with us to get the issue resolved, confirmed the incorrect charges had been removed from our bill, and even switched us to a much better plan (33% cheaper each month with unlimited data). Neima was a total pleasure to work with and we are delighted with the outcome of our visit. read more

I waited for 34 minutes in this store last night before someone told me I had to GIVE MY NAME TO THE GUY IN THE BLUE SHIRT. Then once my name was on the screen I had to wait 45 minutes more for help. The guy who helped me had been there 2 weeks. His boss had to come out and help *him.* There were at least 3 employees walking around looking dazed at any given time doing nothing. One member of the staff was especially rude and obnoxious. I reduced the volume on a boom box so that I could concentrate on the features of cell phones. A few minutes later this employee cranked the volume back up and stood in front of the boom box wiggling his butt. Does anyone give these people any training in customer service? Walked over to the nearby Verizon store and although there was music playing in the background it was not so loud or distracting as the AT&T store. The University Village AT&T store gave me the worst purchasing experience I have ever had. I went in to buy a new iPad. I knew I could try it out and return it if I didn't like it. The sales person suggested that I buy last year's model and save $200. I could get the 32 go model and I could return it if I didn't want it. I said OK. At check out she said that she didn't have the 32 gb pad, but that they had a 64 gb last year's model for an extra $100. No mention that I couldn't return it if I didn't want it. They sent away for it. It arrived 4 days later, and by that time I had decided that I didn't want it and told them this (while still in the box). They would not let me return it. They said it was a close out - not having told me before. This is slimy. So I kept it A week later, I canceled my 3G service for the iPad. Another 3 weeks and I get a notice from AT&T that they are automatically withdrawing $30 from my credit card for ongoing 3G service. The abuse goes on. I have a feeling that this was mostly intentional abuse of me as a consumer. read more
