This was my first time at the Atlantis Steakhouse despite having stayed at the casino numerous times. I came here with a work colleague and was surprised with the upscale environment of the restaurant. This is by far the best steakhouse in the Reno area, having a wide variety of steaks, fish and appetizers that deliver high quality and fine dining. We started with the bacon wrapped scallops and pork belly lollipops, both were delicious!! For my entree I had the filet and lobster tail, my business partner ordered the sea bass. Again loved the dishes and would highly recommend. Overall be prepared to drop anywhere between 200-400 depending on if drinks are ordered. I would like them to broaden the whiskey list but the cocktail menu makes up for it with the smoked Manhattan. Enjoy!! read more

We started with the calamari, little small tasty pieces, not the big giant legs. My daughter had lobster escargot which was succulent and buttery and just perfectly made. My wife's onion soup was in a big softball size onion. Very well made and creamy. I had tuna carpaccio and it was light and delicious. The potato chips were so cute and delicate- really good. Anniversary dinner with my wife, we chose the steakhouse. Curtis was our server, excellent job by him! I love the booths, best steakhouse booths and ambiance overall was pretty good. Started with oysters rockefeller, they were really good! Then we had French onion soup and a the salad with the guava vinaigrette, both of those were outstanding!!! For our main courses we had the sea bass and prime rib. Sea bass was so good, flavors amazing!! The Prime Rib.... Was ok, this stopped this from being a five star review. I never been a fan when they dip your steak in the au jus before plating, makes it look boiled. Flavor was pretty good, just not memorable. Our go to place was Bimini but now it will be here. The atmosphere is over the top elegant and what a perfect place to celebrate a special night. Had reservations for 12 to celebrate my friends birthday. To our surprise, we were seated together in a private room. Our two servers were very attentive and friendly. I tried the dozen oysters, Caesar salad, chicken and broccoli soup, and prime rib. I loved how the Caesar salad and shrimp was cooked table side. By the time my prime rib came, I was too full to eat it. It was unfortunate that my prime rib came with a lot of fat that I cut off. The piece that I did try was flavorful and tender. We were given a complimentary coffee cake at the end of our meal. Save this coffee cake for the next morning to eat with your coffee, it is AMAZING *chefs kiss. Best coffee cake I've ever tried! So we chose this spot because our hotel's steak house Bimini was booked and Atlantis came highly recommended. I am so glad Bimini was booked because we got to enjoy a great experience at the Atlantis Steakhouse. So at first we ran into a hiccup where they had to separate a party of 7 even though we had reservations since Thursday. Once we addressed the issue, they were quick to remedy the problem and put us all together. Big thumbs up to the staff. Our main server Reyanna (I believe that was her name) was a super star. She never missed a beat. She was very nice and attentive to our needs. Love you girl. As for the food. Well I don't have all day to type. I really don't need all day to type AMAZING!!!! New Years Eve was a success! It's been several years since our last meal here and surely that was far too long. We had late night reservations and a snow storm made it a challenging night for the resort all around but the staff showed up for us and dinner was great. I enjoyed the king crab legs while my husband enjoyed the New York Steak. He did order the steak medium and pink throughout. It came out rare the first time and a return to the kitchen left it medium rare. The plate was hot enough that my husband sliced the steak thin and allowed it to cook further but it wasn't ideal. The server did offer to return the steak to the kitchen a second time but the timing wouldn't have been ideal for ringing in the new year. The crab legs were amazing and perfectly steamed with accompanying garlic mashed and asparagus. We started with black eyes pea and ham soup as well as the house salad with a cherry vinaigrette. They served truffles and a take a away coffee cake. Our server delivered our check without offer of dessert and we requested a crème brûlée and I was glad we did. It was a great ending to a very good closing meal of 2022. We will return sooner. read more

Always my go to place when visiting. I like the fact that they update their menu from time to time. Took out 2 star for service. Our server was an older gentleman who seems very sick. Top notch! I would have to say probably the fanciest restaurant I've ever been to , definitely has an upscale feel to it. We went for a small company Christmas party and had a great experience ...... food , service, atmosphere was excellent! My wife had shrimp scampi (44$)cooked table side by a chef who explained to her everything he was adding to the shrimp while he cooked, he added some alcohol and a 3 foot flame engulfed the pan for 5 seconds!!!! Very cool!!! I had rib eye steak (89$)cooked to perfection. Everyone enjoyed the appetizers, so tasty , hard to pick a favorite but the Escargot and the bacon wrapped Scallops were my favorites.Wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Both meals were accompanied with the choice of soup or salad. The ~Minestrone soup: great! ~Salad: beautiful presentation and tasty! Everything was rich, hot, well seasoned, and a nicely presented. The portions were great, and I left with a to-go box. Following dinner, I was presented with the cutest birthday dessert of strawberry, chocolate, and lemon gelato w/ berries. The poor rating is due to the interaction with Ali the Restaurant Manager. After our salad and soup, the main entrée was delayed by 30 plus minutes. I approached Ali at the host desk and explained the situation. Ali's response as a prime rib and 8 oz filet mignon takes 40 - 45 minutes to prepare and "its a Saturday night!" His reasoning behind the response was unacceptable to me. A simple apologize would have deescalated the interaction. Unfortunately a restaurant manager should be empathic. The staff were absolutely a joy to be around and we wish them the best of luck working in this restaurant. However, due to Ali's unprofessional manners, we will never return. read more

I've actually been to this spot once before, thanks to Yelp! When you first arrive there is a massive fish tank in the waiting area that makes you want to go scuba diving. I had a surprise birthday dinner planned for my spouse. We ended up at a beautiful table for in the corner with lots of privacy. I always bring a bottle of wine or 2 and just pay the corkage fees. The way that nice restaurants jack up the price of wine is crazy expensive! The meal started with cocktails and a amuse bouche that was a olive wrapped with a anchovy. I ate it but no thanks! We then had a pork lollipop appetizer. A couple of us ordered the special surf and turf and someone else got the halibut. The food was pretty good, but not perfect. The waitstaff was top notch; constant attention was paid to us. The place was very busy for a Wednesday evening, I'm sure casino steakhouses are always packed. One thing that was pretty annoying was a group that brought a infant.... Crying and yelling...thankfully not the whole time! The atmosphere is really sexy and cool. Wish I had taken a picture of my New York steak, just so I could show off. It was cooked to perfection, crispy, tender, salty and so dang flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised that along with your steak, you get a dinner salad and some mashed potatoes, which is basically a full meal. The need for sides may be excessive but if you're going to the steakhouse, why stop at just a steak? We had to get the creamy, smooth, rich gratin potatoes and an order of the brussel sprouts which seemed almost too good to be classified as a vegetable. Terrible all around. Non welcoming staff and server, pretentious restaurant for no reason. Food is well below average and the prices are just dumb. I suggest a new chef because the one they have clearly has no passion for food or flavor. I had the salmon which seems would be impossible to screw up but it was inedible. I couldn't even get half way through and it was served with some lame potatoes and gross mushroom. Mine also came with a hair and that was THE END! I eat at far "worse" places than this and never have I had a hair in my mouth from something I have been served to eat. Disgusting. Skip this joke of a dining experience and head over to Brick's where the staff are friendly and the food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. read more

I've been here a couple times and the food is always really good. The problem is the service, somehow every time something in our order gets forgotten or messed up. The servers don't explain specials well or clarify what they mean. We even had an issue when boxing up leftover and had half our perfectly good meal thrown out. I visited this restaurant during Covid. They had limited seating in the main dining area and I opted to get seated in the adjacent dining room (Ballroom/Conference). The service was phenomenal, extremely attentive and the food was fantastic. The white truffle Mac and cheese cheese was fabulous, my garlic mashed potatoes beautifully presented and the steak and lamb chops cooked well. It was a nice surprise to get a baked Alaska for my friend's birthday celebration. We came across town specifically for dessert because they have a number of flambe choices. Since we were only joining for dessert, we were sat in the bar area (which seemed fine to us). I was very excited for the cherries jubilee even though I don't typically spend $20 for 1 dessert. What I received was: a scoop of vanilla ice cream, canned cherries and a squirt of canned whipped cream dumped in a bowl. No flambe!! No spices, preparation, warming of the cherries and definitely no tableside display. And also no one around to share my concern - dump and run by the server. Once we found our server (15+mins) and I shared my disappointment with my mostly uneaten dessert, I was told that because of the flooring in the bar, they couldn't really make it - it was a fire hazard. (Why didn't you tell me that when we were seated and definitely when I ordered a flambe dessert?) I was still charged full price for the dessert despite most of it being left. read more

We ordered 2 Cow boy bone in steak which is a $130 item on the menu. One came out ok, steak was bland no seasoning. To our surprise, the other one came out totally well done when we asked for a medium rare. We gave the waiter our feedback, the well done steak was obvious enough she went and asked the manager what to do. Our choice was wait another 30mins for another one, or pick another cut that will take 15mins to cook. Mind you, this whole back and forth took a while the mood of our dinner was completely ruined. Note to management, if you ruin someone's $130 steak, you make it right immediately, We got a filet $58 instead, and they ended up charging us for it If it were any other high end steak house a manager would have came out and apologized. Typically gotten something comped for the bad experience. It should be embarrassing that a "high end" steak house can't get steak to the correct temperature. This review is for the quality of the meal and the management, not our waiter. She was amazing. I believe the issues stems from the kitchen and the management. I had the ribeye. They also gave me a free Baked Alaska for my birthday :). I do not drink alcohol. They had some interesting drinks for me that weren't soda and weren't alcoholic so I was pretty happy. I would likely give the ribeye steak a 7.5/10 with a 10 being Grade A5 Wagyu. From the preparation to the cut itself I was incredibly impressed. The service was astounding. They have a very good ratio of servers to tables. read more

We went to this steakhouse for a set prix fix Easter dinner. Usually we try to avoid major holidays because of spotty service but our server, Kaitlyn and her assistant, Harsh gave us some of the most attentive service we've had in years. The Easter menu (four courses) was reasonably priced compared to their regular menu. Food was excellent, prepared per our request and served hot. Many selections from the regular menu are prepared table-side which is always a nice touch for a special occasion. We brought a nice Zinfandel from home and paid the $35 corkage which seemed high but okay considering most of their wines were $20+ per glass. The wine list looked very good but I would consider it over-priced. I've been to a lot of fancy steakhouses but this place has hands down the best service I've had. The thing that sets this place from other restaurants is the fact that they have a person who refills your water or drink when it's low without even asking. They also provide hot towels to clean your hands before and after you eat. The food here excellent and the portions are bigger than other steak houses. They also provided a baked Alaska dessert for the gf bday and provided us all with crumble pecan cake. Soooo good! read more

My wife and I along with another couple decided to come here the day after Valentine's day. The place was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. The booths felt like we were sitting on a sofa, in fact we had to put pillows behind us so we were close enough to the table to eat :) The care that the staff took to ensure that the almond allergy was not going to be an issue, was over the top. Even though the allergy was only to almonds, the server insisted on giving a basket of bread that was from a different location, not in contact with any other nuts. Overall, the service and the food were wonderful! It was fun watching the young man prepare the steak diane tableside. At the end of the evening, we realized that we were here three hours!
