I have to give it a 5 because Atlas was great on all fronts. Amazing boneless as well as bone in wings! I got the level 4 Buffalo - I do not recommend that heat level, it almost felt like a food challenge. For some perspective I really go for spicy food regularly. I really enjoyed my experience here. I came on a Wednesday night and it stayed very busy the entire time my friend and I were there. We each had a cocktail which were excellent; my friend said her cosmo was the best one she has ever had! The pretzel sticks with beer cheese were great and we even ordered an extra side of beer cheese to dip our fries in for later. The Ranch Cripsy Chicken Sandwich I ordered was fantastic. The chicken was super crispy and moist. I got the side of coleslaw which was not my favorite. The fries were okay too; they were thicker than normal fries but not thick enough to be wedge fries. As for the chocolate cake dessert it was massive! We had a few bites each and then we split the rest to take home for later. It was a little dry but the taste was great which made up for it. I am a first timer at Atlas. What brought me in was seeing their happy hour online and online reviews (I thought I read that the happy hour for wings included bone-in, but they are only for boneless). The place received 4.2/5 stars after 232 reviews on Yelp and 4.6/5 stars on Google after 1,036 reviews so I decided to check it out. Here is my wing review: I had the Garlic Parmesan dry rub (they don't mix dry rub and sauces together) with their Hot Garlic on the side (extra crispy of course) and it was pretty good. I am not a big dry rub kinda guy, but those itself were SOLID. The chicken was extremely fresh and cooked absolutely perfectly. I sampled the sweet chili sauce, sweet bourbon BBQ, kickin BBQ, reaper BBQ and reaper buffalo. For those of you who like hot sauces on wings, you should probably check this place out as you might like the reaper sauces since they definitely have a kick. As much as I liked the establishment because of the craft beer selection and staff, the sauces in general seemed pretty artificial. I was told that they are house made, so they definitely need to get better at making sauces in my opinion. If they were to have some better sauces, I could easily see this being a high 8 to lower 9. The place was busy so they are obviously doing something right, so I would recommend getting there before happy hour. Definitely far from a sports bar so I wouldn't come here to watch games. I experienced top notch customer service where the manager and bartender seemed as if they truly care about the place and it showed, as the staff was very attentive. Ooh, there's a lot to talk about, so I will start with the parking lot. This restaurant competes with other restaurants for parking spots. It's a challenge to find a spot in the first place, and then the spots are so narrow I feared that my car could get dinged or a very large vehicle might park next to me and make it hard for me to get to my car. Second, there's no six feet social distancing inside. The distance between the back of the seat at the bar to the back seat from a table was only around four feet, maybe even less, and I could have measured it because for some reason my son brought a measuring tape, HA! But I digress... No tables were left open as you see in other restaurants and the place was packed. Now, the noise level was unbelievably loud because of the music and the well-imbibed group behind us. Our party had to yell to be heard. On the plus side, the wait staff was attentive and hard working. The menu had a great variety and the food was appropriately priced. The decor was beautiful. I discovered they have a patio, and if we had known about it, we could have sat outside in a quieter place. And the neat thing about the patio is that there are overhead heat lights that made the space quite comfortable. There were also propane pyramid heaters for colder weather. The speed and quality of service paired with the speed and quality of food makes this place next to none. The beautiful outdoor seating on the patio and the outdoor seating in the front makes this a great choice for summer nights. The draft list is incredible and is constantly changing and makes me sad I don't live closer. The variety of food options is also incredible and plenty of choices for any dietary restrictions. The food is good, the ambience is chill with a good vibe, the drinks it's not their strength, were not bad but not amazing. The variety of drinks is extensive and I like the fact the food menu is short and not 4 different pages. My Korean sandwich was super good, I had a side salad and they don't have Sesame dressing which would be the best pair for my salad and sandwich. The veggie platter with dips is a good shareable, the dips pairs excellent with the chips and veggies (you have to find out which one goes with the dips). Atlas... I've heard so many good things so maybe my experience was just a fluke. Came in on a Friday evening with a friend, we were seated pretty quickly at a high top close to the door. I was pretty excited about the menu, so many delicious sounding options. It took awhile for our waiter to come, probably like 10-15minutes before we ordered drinks. The drinks came quickly, I went with the strawberry hibiscus mule 10/10 it was the best thing I consumed all night. Another 15-20 minutes went by before the waiter appeared again and we could finally order. I was curious about the weekly burger which is curated by a staff member so when I asked the server what it was I was shocked by his response. He said, and I quote, "good question I don't really know I think it has cole slaw on it, I hear it's good". Needless to say I didn't order it, instead I chose the Signature Black Garlic Burger which boats "dense flavor packed with umami", for my side I had the veggie pasta salad. I was pretty excited about the burger, I love garlic and was looking forward to the umami. Turns out I was looking for the garlic and umami in every bite, and never found it. I won't say the burger was bad but it definitely wasn't good, it lacked flavor so I found myself dipping the whole thing in ketchup to try and "spice it up". The veggie pasta salad was okay, I didn't realize the veggies would be squash and zucchini which isn't my thing so I just ate around those. I kept seeing our waiter in deep conversations with other tables but he only came back to our table once more after we had pretty much finished our food and by then we were ready for the check. To sum it all up, we had poor service, bland food, and delicious drinks. Would I give Atlas Tavern another try? Yes, but only since I know the drinks are good. read more

First, we were seated and greeted with a big by our server Berna ( not sure of spelling sorry). She gave us plenty of time to look at the menu. We got the Nachos as starter and "Holly Molly"! These nachos are the best, "crispy light big pieces of nachos topped with sumptuous cheeses chives tomatoes sour cream. Too good we were licking our fingers. Came our main dishes of burgers which are all in big servings almost 4 inches tall. My pictures won't do justice. The burgers are juicy tender tasty beefy meat topped with ...well we ordered different toppings . All great tasting. The potato salad looks good but, I would say it is a little bland. The menu (I thought) was kinda, sorta, maybe a bit much; maybe it was because there was several things that sounded good, which made it harder to narrow down my choices. The thinly slant-sliced steak was pretty darn tender and not too chewy (as opposed to many "steak salads". It was so large I had to take it apart to eat it! It was really good though. The breading on the chicken was perfect. We also got the brownie sundae. As a Polaris area resident, I've been to Atlas Tavern many times for happy hour and lunches. Most recently, I took my family and was reminded all over again how lucky I am to to have this spot in my neighborhood. Everyone raved about their food and my craft beer loving brother was impressed by the offerings. I maintain that they have one of the best burgers in town. Good, not great. I've had this place on my radar for months and finally made the moves today to give it a go. We got there for a late lunch on Sunday. Plenty of tables open but we just sat at the bar for ease. There is a TON of bar seating. Offers the same menu and prices as sitting at a table. Staff was friendly enough, the bartender was attentive. I will say they seemed to have a surplus of waiters just standing around as well as hosts-- they all looked miserable. We ordered a pound of traditional wings to share -- NOTE you get one sauce per pound of wings you get. A pound of the traditional came out to be 6 wings. The sweet chili sauce was pretty good. I would get it again! For lunch we had the french dip sandwich and the italian sub sandwich (unsure of actual names). LARGE portions. Both were satisfactory, but nothing amazing. The italian dressing on my sub was lackluster -- more salty than zesty. The french dip lacked depth of flavor. We both got waffle fries as our side -- cooked well and tasty, almost wish they had some kind of seasoning. Last big comment-- beer prices fluctuate from $5 - $7.50 unless otherwise noted on the menu. Embarrassingly, this is my first time being here and I live in the area! I knew Atlas Tavern was a great place based on the prior reviews, so I finally got around to it. On their website, you are requested to add your party to a wait-list within 10 minutes of arrival. You will then receive a text letting you know your place in line and when your table is ready. There's a lot of delicious sounding dishes on their menu, but I wanted to try something unusual that isn't found at every bar tavern. Instead of beers that I can order anywhere, I stuck to ordering their signature cocktails. My favorite and what I believe is Atlas Tavern's most known signature cocktail would have to be the Honey Bear. The presentation is really adorable as it's served in a bear-shaped glass, but these things can pack a bear-claw-swipe if you have enough of them. As I mentioned earlier, I wanted to try something unusual. So for the appetizer, I ordered the Pot Roast Poutine which a large plate filled with crispy waffle fries covered in overnight cooked pot roast with small fried onion strips on top. I'm not sure why this isn't a more common appetizer at other bars, but this has got to be one of my most favorite appetizers ever. I included the picture in this review so you can check it out for yourself. Atlas Tavern advertises on their menu in huge letters that they have the "World's Greatest Wings". Majority of the people at other tables ordered the wings actually, so these are really hyped up. However, I have not tried them yet nor is this review about their famous wings. Instead, this review is about their what I call "Should be world famous Black Garlic Signature Burger". This is one of the most amazing, flavorful, burgers I've ever had. The flavor created by the black garlic aioli is described as a sweet and dense and its packed with unami. Every bite was a delicious experience and I couldn't get enough. I don't want to hype this up so you all come at me if you don't like it, but you should really just go try this out for yourself. Atlas Tavern noticeably puts a lot of time and effort into creating their food and its unique flavors. As described on their website, they COULD just reheat food that was made somewhere else, but then they wouldn't stand out and be just like one of the many other bar taverns out there. Instead, it takes time to make food from scratch and to create the blend of flavors that they provide. Even their fresh cocktails are made with in-house pressed juices and syrups, not a carton of juice even though opening a juice carton would be a lot faster. My point is to expect the place to be popular and the staff may be busy, so the slight wait is well worth the amazing food and cocktails. read more
