    Revival mocktail

Auburn Angel has been on my list to try for awhile and we finally got a chance to check out for a Sunday brunch. We had a reservation and were able to be seated early. The ambiance is really nice with a modern feel. Plenty of street parking which is a plus. We ordered moctails which were new on their menu. I had the revival which was great! Then we had the hoe cake with potlicker. Excellent! For my entree I had the mushroom hash. Its presentation was excellent and taste was even more great. The service was phenomenal. So glad we checked it out and will be back. Nice spot!

Saw a recent social media post about Chef Rob and his creations for Auburn Angel and I just HAD to come for dinner! I've tried his cooking at local food festivals and enjoy going to the restaurants he cooks for. My sisters and I were so excited to visit and almost tried everything on the menu. Our dinner started with a veggie & potato broth garnished with a rice cake puff and lemon pepper that was sooooooo good! We continued on to try the Hoecakes and Potlicker, Seafood Hand Pie, and Moonshine and Little Necks for starters. The hoecakes were a true Southern treat and the collard green garnish could be served solo by itself, it was so savory and tender. The seafood pie was in a flaky buttery pastry and the sauce for the clams in moonshine and little necks had everyone wanting to lick the bowl! Our mains were the mushroom cassoulet, red fish bolognese and short rib bourguignon. Omg! Flavor overloads! The star dish was definitely the short rib, with a very sizable portion. Our water for the evening was very personable and made excellent recommendations. The restaurant interior is casual chic and charming. This gem is a must try! Parking is a little tricky to find but other than that everything was spectacular.

Went here with a group of friends and had Ana amazing time. The decor and aesthetic are so beautiful. The staff are so amazing and kind. The food tasted amazing. Parking is limited. You have to park on the street. We were told there are some pay lots in the vicinity, but we found parking on the street. It is limited, but it's an option. When you arrive, you are greeted by a really sweet hostess. We went as soon as they opened, so we didn't have a wait, but we had a reservation too. Our server's name was Greer. She took really good care of us and gave amazing suggestions. I had the Sunshyne to drink and I loved it. The bartender, Kadeem, really knows how to pour. We sat at a cute table in the middle of the floor and also had a booth. Our party was pretty big. Their seating is so cute. Really gives a chic, upper west side vibe. I loved the plates and cutlery too. Everything here was NIIIIIICE (Tiffany Haddish voice). Our food took a while to come out, but it was worth the wait and again we had a big party. The biscuits were homemade and tasted so good. The deviled eggs were also really good. The Big Mama was a dish that almost everyone in the group requested and they were all satisfied with their choice. If you want good food, good service, and good vibes please come here. There are some cute photo opps here too.

This restaurant has considered vegans and pescaterians. Everyone in your party should be able to enjoy brunch here. They accept reservations, and I highly recommend them due to the size and popularity. There is free street parking on the side and behind the restaurant, or you can find paid parking across the street on Auburn. Service was good, I appreciate that we didn't feel rushed. I don't recommend coming here if you're in a hurry. Everything is cooked to order, and the food did not come out quickly. It's not a complaint, just something to be aware of. When the food did arrive at the table, it was warm and beautifully plated. The smoked salmon tart was absolutely delicious. The tart was flaky and buttery and filled with a tasty smoked salmon cream cheese mouse $10. Brulee French toast $17 was some of the best French toast Ive had in Atlanta. My only complaint is that it didn't include all the ingredients listed on the menu, I didn't have any berry compote. The lemoncello macarpone paired perfectly with the dish, it is sweet, so I'm glad the server recommends I get it on the side. Everyone at my party enjoyed their food, and some said 10/10, and I agree. I'm looking forward to returning to try some of their additional menu items.

Fell upon this spot and what a great find it was. Started a Breakfast at Barneys, line to long. Leave there heading to Sweet Auburn Brunch, while at the light to make the left on Auburn Ave...I see this restaurant. Go to Sweet Auburn Brunch, get on the waiting list. We decided to take the walk to Auburn Angel since there was a wait, what a great decision it was! Now we can get into it!! They do have a covered outside eating area but it wasn't set up to be occupied. Walked in and the ambiance was lovely. They didn't have a wait so we stayed and gave them a try. Come with good company because you may have a wait, we sure did but well worth it! We started with the Deviled Eggs and Salmon... both amazing! To drink we had the UNC... small but it packed a punch, really good. For my entree, I had the Auburn ****Sammie....yummy!! Very filling. It did get a little warm in there, but for the most part it was manageable. It wouldn't stop me from going back. I had such great company and great conversation, I forgot to get pics of the restaurant but I sure didn't forget my food though

I had a wonderful first time experience at this restaurant. The host was friendly and accommodating since we had a new born with us. She made sure we were comfortable. Simone was our waiter and she was so hospitable! We had the muffins, rib tips, frango chicken, lamb, and blueberry cobbler. Everything was amazing and fresh. The portion sizes were just right allowing us to try multiple menu items and enjoy a three course experience. The restaurant recently opened and I know if they continue providing the positive experience we had tonight, it will have great success!

At the time of this review, this restaurant had only been open for a couple of months so, I was looking forward to seeing what they were all about. It is conveniently located between Downtown and O4W, but parking may be an issue unless you get lucky and find some street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. As you enter, the space isn't huge, but it is very nicely decorated and welcoming. I sat at the bar and ordered the Cacio e Pepe and Lamb Burger to eat and for cocktails, I had the Cussin Granny and an Espresso Martini. The Cacio e Pepe was delicious and I enjoyed the black truffles on it, but I will have to say that even though it was described as a "small plate" the portion was much smaller than expected given the price point. The Lamb Burger was also tasty, though I wish it was served on a bun rather than sliced bread to make it a little easier to eat instead of having to "fork and knife" it. The Cussin Granny was really good and was essentially their take on a spicy margarita; and I like the Espresso Martini though I wish it tasted more like espresso and a little less like cocoa. The service was friendly, which is always a plus for me so overall it was a good experience. I would like to return to try some other items as well as more cocktails once they expand their drink menu.

The Sunday brunch was really AMAZING! I prefer the brûlée French toast with house made chicken sausage. I met the co-owners, who were both friendly and passionate about the curated menu.

Auburn Angel is here to stay! With an eclectic yet romantic interior, a well stocked wine menu, friendly staff, and a solid location, Auburn Angel is destined to attract foodies. Kyle, our bartender, took the time to walk us through the menu and wine list, with the utmost care. Asa's attention to detail is crystal clear right when you walk in. His creativity fills every corner of the room, top to bottom, window to wall. I settled on a Portuguese white wine, and the Lamb burger paired with Yuca chips and dehydrated dill pickle sprinkles, and it did not disappoint. 10/10 I'd recommend this to anyone with an upcoming date night... ATL FOODIES REJOICE!

Brûlée friend toast and in house made chicken sausage. Excellent!

First time here for brunch. First, the vibe is so relaxed and chilled. Very nice decor and loved the soft lighting. Second, the service was top notch. They made sure we had everything we needed and kept checking on us. Third, the food was fresh and hot! Very good food. I had the brûlée French toast in house made chicken sausage. Excellent. My cousin had the hot cakes and grits! The grits were so rich and creamy! We will def be back. We want to try the dinner menu!

I sat at the bar and had a little light banter with the bartender who is a brother looking to be in his late 30's-early 40's. When I asked about two fruity cocktails from the menu, he flat-out said he wasn't going to make them. That alone was off-putting. Trying to move forward, I asked what he specialized in, and he said he'd "come up with something." I agreed--but very clearly stated: no rum, because my body does not react well to it. After watching him make drinks for people who ordered after me, he eventually handed me a cocktail I never even saw him prepare. That already raised a flag. I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem. If you choose to visit, be very direct, pay close attention, and don't assume your requests will be respected.

We got some buffalo wings to start with. They were really good! It was nice and hot too (temperature wise and flavor wise.) They were literally steaming for a good 5 minutes after our server brought them. My wife got the blackened chicken salad wrap with fries for her main, and I got the fish and chips lunch portion. Both tasted INCREDIBLE. Her wrap was really good, I had a few bites. It was packed with toppings and the chicken tasted really good. My fish and chips were GREAT. I got the lunch portion, which comes with one piece of fish, but the dinner portion comes with two I believe. I didn't realize it was only one piece for the lunch portion, otherwise I would've gotten the dinner portion...I was hungry!! The fries we both got were nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I got some BBQ sauce to dip my fries into. I also doused my fish and chips with vinegar...you got to to do it that way! Our glasses of Guinness were fresh and poured really nicely too. They were also nice and cold! Our server was really friendly too and was always checking on us. We really enjoyed ourselves, and we'll definitely be back! We have been to this location a few times, and also the one in Buckhead. We have been to the Buckhead one more, as we used to live right in Buckhead, not too far from that location.
