    Beware of Audi Care Markup I bought my first Audi, a new S5, from Audi Arrowhead in Dec 2024. I researched the car but not Audi Care. Their finance department took advantage charging more than $1000 over MSRP. I discovered the overcharge at Audi North Scottsdale during my first service, where my advisor printed my contract and explained the actual Audi Care MSRP. How did this happen - through misinformation and fear. The finance department provided a non-negotiable price of $2799. I was told the S5 was a premium car (its standard Audi Care). I asked to justify the service price, and finance presented inflated maintenance costs showing how I get my money back and more by the end of the 4th year. I was told if I didn't purchase Audi Care at point of sale, I couldn't add it later (false). I reached out to the GM to discuss and he explained this markup is how Arrowhead makes up for lower prices on cars. He apologized for the tactics of his finance team, but made it clear that I signed the paperwork and I'm stuck with it. If you are going to buy here, understand how Audi Care works and don't let Audi Arrowhead / AutoNation take advantage of you too.

I've brought my vehicle in twice for the same warranty issue, both times with scheduled appointments and advance notice. Despite knowing exactly why I was coming in, the service team could not provide even a reasonable estimate of how long the repair would take. This wasn't a unique diagnostic issue; it was a known warranty repair that has been performed on many vehicles. On both visits, I was initially told the vehicle might need to stay for days, despite being assured when I scheduled the appointment that same-day completion would not be a problem. Even more frustrating, my vehicle sat in the parking lot for over three hours each visit before anyone looked at it. In total, I lost more than seven hours across two appointments and left both times without any work being completed. What concerns me most is the complete lack of scheduling transparency. In an era where service departments have access to repair histories, labor standards, and scheduling systems, customers should be able to receive a reasonable estimate of how long a known repair will take. Instead, I received vague answers and shifting expectations. Based on my experience, I would not trust the timelines provided by this service department. The communication, planning, and customer service were extremely disappointing.

    Bought a 2021 ford ranger lariat fx4 from them back in Feb. The salesperson messed my name up on…read moreall the paperwork and had to be told multiple times what he did wrong to get it fixed. When he corrected it, he only corrected it on the DMV paperwork, not the auto loan, warranty, gap insurance, or any other paperwork. I pointed this out to them multiple times and they didn't correct it, resulting in me having to call all those institutions and get it corrected myself. He also did not flag the lifted truck option on the warranty he sold me despite the truck being lifted. They fixed this last part for free without any cost to me, so I guess they get half a point for effort there. Now that we get past the initial paperwork part of where this purchase went wrong, let's get into the mechanical issues with the vehicle. On my test drive, I noticed a burnt rubber smell coming from the left rear of the vehicle that I now know is symptomatic of a leaking rear axle seal. The power train warning light was also on the truck. I reported both of these things to the dealer and they said they would fix it with their partnered shop. They took the truck to the shop and told me they need to replace the wiring harness to correct the power train issue error. After that, they had to send the truck to a local transmission shop for a rebuild of the transmission, and that shop told me that there was an axle seal leaking. I passed that information on to the dealership to see if they would fix that or if I would have to, and they completely blew me off. Because of weeks back and forth where the dealership told me repeatedly that they'd communicated with other parties and then I call those parties and they all state they never heard from the dealership, I decided I no longer trusted that dealer or their mechanics at all and I took the car to a ford dealership. Immediately spotted the seal issue and diagnosed that the transfer case motor wasn't engaging. Swapped the motor and then had to diag that the wiring harness was messed up. I would not recommend buying a car from overstockvehicles or their partner organization valleycargroup. The only positive of this experience was getting them to foot the bill on a transmission rebuild for a vehicle that has known transmission issues.

I've never used a auto broker before and was skeptical this would go smoothly as I usually try to have friends or family check vehicles out for me but we all know how that can be. I found VPS on Yelp and after doing some research by visiting his website along with the many reviews on Google/Yelp I decided to take the plunge. I contacted Dave via text late on a Saturday and was texted back that same night. He ask for a link to the vehicle I was interested then without asking pulled the Carfax of the truck and showed that it had been in a minor accident. We discussed more and I decided I was serious and ready to make the purchase. Dave swiftly took over and made an appointment with the seller, scheduled a basic vehicle inspection that included a diagnostic check as well as 10-20 photos of the body and undercarriage including a short video of the engine idling that I specifically requested. I then proceeded to negotiate a price with the seller that we eventually locked in. I was able to send the funds directly and securely witch gave me added piece of mind. Dave met with the seller got all the paperwork taken cared of (notary, title, bill of sale, etc) as well scheduled/coordinated a new windshield replacement that the seller agreed to take care of prior to selling me the vehicle. Lastly Dave was able to clean, prepare and store the vehicle safely till we could schedule shipping to me. Dave went above and beyond my expectations! He was willing to help with whatever was needed. Reliable, friendly, vehicle knowledgeable and great communication. This was the smoothest out of state purchase I have ever done. I will definitely use vehicle purchasing service in the future. Do you have the desire to simply be treated like a human being and not a sale/commission? Try Nelson's. They aren't a normal car lot... and if you understand business and the costs associated with it all you'll get it once you see their offerings. We were able to get a reliable car for our teenage son at just the right price. It didn't need any mechanical work done, and when we took it to get new tires it was verified that the suspension and brakes were both in great shape (hard to check those otherwise). Bonus: the picture of the car online actually matched what the car looked like in person. No "from this angle you can't see the huge scratch down the side of the entire car" shots. What you see is what you get. When I followed up on the sole issue with the car (a windshield replacement that was included with the car purchase due to a chip in the one it came with) I received a prompt response including confirmation that the title and plate were sent - plus an ask for me to let him know that we received it. That's not something you'll EVER get from a big name dealership. I will absolutely come back to Cody and his team should I ever be in the market for another car. (That would be a brokering deal, which they also do!)

The car we had seen on Facebook was just in the process of getting washed. It was exactly as depicted on Facebook. There were no slimy sales techniques. Everything Cody did was professional. He knew a lot about the car, showed us the Car Fax report, was completely transparent about everything. We were shopping on a Saturday night and he delivered the car to us on Sunday with a full tank of gas. We will go back to Cody and Nelson's for future used cars.
