I recently purchased a vehicle from Sewell Audi McKinney and the experience was such that I just had to share.  The friendliness, flexibility, and service provided by Sewell Audi McKinney exceeded my expectations.    First, I'll start with my salesperson, Steven Etter (Sales/Audi Brand Specialist).  I cannot say enough about Steven; he is warm, trustworthy, and caring.  He did everything he could to assist in the purchase of the vehicle to make sure all expectations were met.  He wasn't pushy when we determined the car I came to look at was no longer available.  He wasn't your typically car salesman; he felt more genuine when trying to earn our business.  We took a 2019 Q5 around the block - he showed us the bells and whistles...buttons and latches...bangs and pops.  We found a commonality in electronic music and he talked bourbon with my boyfriend; he's very likable and personable.  He walked us around the dealership showing us the plush customer lounge with TVs and free Wi-Fi, freshly baked cookies, sparkling water dispenser, sound-proof children's playroom and toys, a "mother's room", the spotless Audi service department, and Parts Center - all benefits when you become a customer of Sewell.  After putting pen to paper and speaking with Chris Carlson (Pre-Owned Director) about being pre-approved with my employer, Steven and I came to a deal on a 2019 Audi Q5.  We stayed after closing on a Thursday night and never once did we feel rushed to leave nor pressured to hurry a deal.    The following day, as agreed, they repaired a door ding and scratch and by the afternoon, I was ready to sign the final papers and get the keys.  That's when I was introduced to Chris Conklin (Business Manager).  We sat in his office and had good banter about his glowing gaming keyboard whilst going through the paperwork.  There were no games when it came to talking money; the final price was exactly as negotiated and there were no last-minute surprises.  He answered any questions we had and was patient with us.  Once complete, he emailed to me the final signed paperwork and gave me hardcopies.  Chris, too, made the process quick and seamless so I could hurry off to enjoy Audi A/C air blowing through my hair.    Five days later, I texted Steven that I had decided I wanted the front windows tinted.  In turn, I was introduced to Bryan Bannister (Assistant Service Manager)  I had quick and clear communication via text with Bryan, which is much appreciated since I'm in meetings/on conference calls all day.  He offered to pick-up and deliver my car but I advised him I could just swing by and drop it off to them later that day since they would provide a loaner car.  Bryan also helped me with getting new mats and privacy cargo cover, went through some Audi Connect questions, and looked into a windshield wiper noise.  The next day, I picked up my car; it was more sparkly than I had left it with them since they offer complimentary car baths with each service.    To say we previously went to many dealerships, along with other Audi locations, would be an understatement.  Sewell Audi McKinney, Steven, Chris, Bryan, and Chris were all professional, polite, and attentive to our every need.  They listened to us, unlike the other places we had visited.  They were upfront, honest, and acted with integrity; they went out of their way to make sure all of my needs were met.  In summation, they earned our business rather than expect it.    Steven has continued to follow up with me to ensure I'm content with the purchase and service I've received thus far.  The ongoing efforts Sewell Audi McKinney has made, going on 2 weeks now, is above and beyond.  I've already had one close friend go up to the dealership to work a deal with Steven and have my dad sold on the idea of trading in his RX350 for a new Q5.  We have also reserved our spaces for the Technology Clinic offered next month to continue our education on this space craft I get to consider my daily driver.   If you are looking to buy a vehicle in the near future, pay a visit to Sewell Audi McKinney and ask for Steven Etters.  Even if they don't have the specific car you're looking for on their lot, he will search high and low for you and have it delivered to the dealership.  I am a previous Park Place Lexus girl, but I think I'll give my final rose to Sewell Audi McKinney! read more

Tried to price gauge us on a part that costs $20 and takes about 20 minutes to install. Thankfully we had a professional second opinion and they offered to do it at a much more reasonable rate - and what do you know? It really did only take 20 minutes. When the dealership realized they weren't going to make a bunch of money off of us there, they made up weird excuses as to why they couldn't detail our vehicle (which was one of the services we had requested up front and would have gladly paid for). I love our Audi, but am not a fan of being taken advantage of. I highly suggest doing your own research and second guessing everything before agreeing to the scope of work/pricing in the service department. read more

Shady tactics. Have had my car serviced here for nearly 3 years and have generally been satisfied until this last visit. Had a coolant leak, they told me it would be $1600 to repair and the part was $1300, a quick search on the Audi website told me the part was $300. When this was mentioned another rep told me the last guy was mistaken, he spoke to the manager and that they could do the repair for $1300. Calling around to other reputable repairs shops the work could be done for $1k, with OEM parts and have a longer warranty. Audi Mckinney also charged $275 for their diagnosis fee even though the car was in for an oil change which should include their multi point inspection. Totally lost trust in this place. read more

I wanted to buy an R8, I told my situation with the settlement, they wanted me to buy so the factory would give them another allocation, the car was ordered, the car was delivered, then the car was sold to another fella. I am around a lot of people weekly, grew up here, started St Jude Catholic Church on day one and all of the way back to Holy Nativity. Very nice facility, friendly people, fast and responsive at drop off, but they do not immediately honor extended warranties purchased from other Audi dealers. They've been holding my car all afternoon over an extended warranty that I walked out the door with from another dealership. I should blame the originating (Audi Dallas) dealer for not telling me that what I was purchasing wasn't a universal Audi product, but they're car salesmen after all, and it was probably in the fine print somewhere. In any case, not the greatest customer experience. Beware the extended warranty, they're not seamlessly transferrable between dealerships. read more

Hennie provided a loaner to our home while it was repaired. GO See Charlee Brown..... During the hail storm a few weeks back my car was in service during that time and was effected by the storm, long story short my car was totaled out. As you can imagine I was in shock and didn't know what I was going to do. Where do I begin! I am a first time Audi & Sewell buyer. If this is any indication of what to expect in the future, I'm a Sewell customer for life! When my wife and I decided to stop by one Saturday, we were immediately greeted by Tucker (sales intern). Tucker was able to answer all of our questions and arrange a test drive. The Q5 is awesome! We met Tucker's sales associate/supervisor, Thomas Waite, as well as most of the staff there. Very positive experience. Fast forward a week and I can't stand it anymore. I've got to have this car. I called Thomas Waite and told him what I was looking for. I arranged to be there first thing on Saturday morning. I told him I had some errands to run and needed to be out of there in 2 hours or less. When I arrived, both Tucker and Thomas met me and we began the process. The exact vehicle that I wanted had arrived the day before. It still had the plastic protection on the seats. I told him what I wanted my monthly lease payments to be and we were able to make it work. Met with financing and was out of there in 2hr 15 mins! Now, here's the part that will make me a customer for life. I mentioned that one of my errands was that I was going to be stopping by my butcher when I was done there. As soon as I left the dealership, they rushed over to my butcher to leave me a personalized card and a gift certificate for me to spend. Supper was on them that night! Took my car in this weekend to have it serviced. From start to finish it was a great informative experience. Nicholas was my service advisor he was awesome!! I had an event to go to right as my service was complete & he allowed me to keep the loaner to make the event. Just picked up my car this morning Nicholas was there to greet me & re advise me of everything that was done to the car as previously discussed. The rest of the staff were great as well. Sewell never fails when it some to taking care of their customers! Before my Audi I would take my Lexus to Sewell to get serviced and it was 1000% the best car serving experience I've ever got. I can't say enough good things about this place! My husband and I recently bought a new car for my husband a couple of weeks ago and when we decided I too should trade in my car, we thought oh great, we're starting this awful car buying experience all over again with haggling and terrible car sales associates. If I had to hear "what do I need to do to get you in this car tonight" one more time, I would have screamed. Their constant calls and need to rush us to make a decision left me feeling anxious and honestly concerned about whether we made the right deal after we left. This place is the EXACT opposite and Andy Stowe could not be further from the "typical car salesman" persona. The price of the car was good so there was no need for negotiation, the price of my trade in was fair and there was no haggling no you need X no rush to get me out the door. I have never bought a car in one day and that's exactly what we did. There was no buyers remorse or anxiety, we knew it was the right car and more importantly the right place to buy from. I don't feel as if they made the sale so now I'm left on my own. It's truly an experience buying from Audi Sewell in McKinney and they will have a costumer for life with us! Oh, Eddy who did all the paperwork was great too! He showed us extra warranty options we kindly declined and he moved on there was no push for all these reasons why we need these extra things. Just the facts. Received recall notification in the mail/email February 14. Reached out to schedule, was told could not get me in until April 7th, ok thats fine and a loaner car would be available, since a 3 hour project. Fast foward to April 6. Got a text at 6:30 PM April 6, saying no loaner car, and my appointment is 9:30 AM April 7th, my apologies. We will keep you notified. Another text April 7 at 3:30 PM, you can bring your car in now. Like I'm just sitting around. I say, can do 9:30 AM April 9 and was confirmed by the agent. April 8. Arrive at 9:30, no one is expecting me, I arrive and have to wait and explain the situation. I get someone to help, then says, what time would you like to pick it up. I'm flexible, anytime around the end of day today. Then he states, at this point we would need to probably keep your car and you can get it next week (Monday). Why ask me when I want to pick it up, if you can't meet that? I ask if they can check the wipers (not working correctly), and he says, well, our records show you need new tires (I share I have new tires), well you would like an alignment and oil change. No I just need the wipers working. We can check the wipers (for $40). Really, you can't just look and see if they are not working correctly vs charging me $40? No. Nickled and dimed, spent now two days rearranging my scheudle and the car won't be ready potentially by Monday. I just left. Might want to revisit the below. I received none of that today. Zero Stars - Rating What "Obsessed with Service" Looks Like A smiling associate opening the door for you and greeting you by name. Fresh flowers in the showroom. Original art on the walls. A complimentary car wash for any customer, any time. Sharp-looking associates with a spring in their step. A shop floor so clean, it looks worthy of "the 10-second rule." Shelves loaded with prestigious awards. Delegations of visitors from other companies coming to learn how we do it. And the clearest evidence of inspired service? Customers who return again and again and who spread the word about Sewell to their families and friends. read more

Purchased a 2020 Lexus they had. The car was listed that it had been rigorously inspected in the same process as their certified Audis, and that if there were any defective parts of paint, it was repaired or replaced. I purchased the vehicle with peace of mind that it was a low mileage vehicle and had been fully inspected. After leaving the dealer, I noticed a loud humming on the freeway. It turned out that both the driver and passenger side front wheel hubs/bearings were physically bent, and needed to be replaced. I was able to tell there was an issue by a simple drive, but the techs "rigorous inspection" missed the issue? Audi was able to replace one side, but refused the other, which has left me with a $1000 repair right off the bat. It would be understandable if the part broke a week later, but for it to be present from the time it was driven off the lot means that it was not properly inspected. They are terrible at communication or accepting responsibility, which is very disappointing for a Sewell affiliated dealership. read more

Manny Castillo in service addresses and listens to all of my concerns with the transfer case leaking issue. Fortunately after extensive test drive it just turned out to be a sloppy transmission fluid job at a previous interval that left oil residue everywhere. So that crisis was averted! Now few thousand miles later I had my vehicle reinspected and there's no leaks and issues. During the whole period with manny Castillo and Marcelo the service manager was very seamless. They provided me with really nice comfortable loaner vehicles while my vehicle was serviced. Dealing with any 3rd party warranty is a pain in the buns but I'm just glad there's no real issues so far. Prices are reasonable but key programming is definitely 50% more expensive than audi of dallas. Besides that an oil change or rub of the mil service is reasonably priced and service is just top notch! No other dealer could provide loaners and Sewell really comes in to make sure customer is well cared for and isn't just given some Uber rides when the matter is urgent and extensive. I feel that the fellas here care and listen to me. Makes me feel very well treated. Sewell has been good to me all around at any location. Thank You read more

I wish Sewell Audi McKinney would have been open when i bought my Audi. I made the mistake of going to Audi Plano. Audi Dallas was out of the question based on their horrific sales tactics. Audi Plano was even worse. I recently took my car to this location for service. From the moment i pulled up to the service drive, i was greeted in a friendly manner and was put in a loaner car all in under 10 minutes. Picking up my car was twice as easy. Let's face it, taking a car for service is rarely a highlight of your day. Sewell McKinney made the experience enjoyable. Shout out to Graham for the incredible customer service. He kept me in the loop on the status of my service and went above and beyond to make this a great experience. There is absolutely no doubt that my next vehicle purchase will be from this dealer. If you are considering purchasing an Audi, please stay FAR away from Audi Plano. They sold me a brand new Q5 and didn't do any kind of quality inspection. So much so that they neglected to include a windshield wiper on the back of the car. As a result, the window on the back of my car was scratched. Sewell took care of it saving me from visiting Audi Plano. I live closest to Audi Dallas and the second closest dealer is Plano, but will take the quick drive up the tollway or 75 to Mckinney going forward. No doubt whatsoever. Do not go anywhere else. The service department at Audi McKinney is incredibly detailed. I took my 2013 Audi A4 in to get a faulty trunk latch repaired under CarMax's extended warranty. I appreciate Danielle for notifying CarMax of the other issues they have found during the multi-point inspection, of which $8,600 in repairs were covered under warranty. Danielle has also continued to regularly update me on the status of my vehicle and explained in great detail which components required attention. In addition, using the courtesy car for several days was also a breeze. When I received my vehicle back, they have washed and -- I'm assuming -- waxed the car as well. Despite it raining heavily for the next few days, my A4 still looks brand-new just sitting on the driveway. The facilities and the showroom are elegant, matching the refined vehicles they sell. Staff cleans and disinfects surfaces during their downtime. I will definitely be returning and recommending others here for any Audi needs. read more

I recently made the decision to purchase a new vehicle and more importantly an Audi. After multiple interactions across multiple Audi dealers (and one jaguar dealer before I decided on Audi) in the area there was a noticeable difference in communication and customer service from Sewell's Audi McKinney vs the competition. I had the great fortune to be connected with Ben Anderson there. My particular deal was probably a bit unique which is too much to explain here but suffice it to say - I kept poor Ben on his toes as he constantly tried to do right by his customer. I've never felt the need to be particularly loyal to a car dealership but Ben was an awesome ambassador for the dealership and showed me why they were so much better than the rest. To give an example - we recently welcomed a new baby to the family and that was one of my constraints in choosing a vehicle. I called ahead on a rainy day to see if the vehicles I was interested in was on the showroom floor so I could test out space with car seats and such. I was passed to Ben who answered and said he could arrange for a vehicle to be pulled into a dry space where we could work with it. When I showed up he was well prepared, had the car ready to go and indoors. Despite my embarrassment of having to bring in baby gear to test a car, he politely and professionally proceeded to help me lug my new baby gear inside and situate it in the cars. He was incredibly kind, respectful and patient and this was just our first interaction. He maintained this throughout all future conversations for weeks while I tried to narrow down and get to the result of buying a vehicle through him. Obsessed with Service is their tagline? Scheduled an appt 2-3 weeks in advance for my eTron GT. Let them know that I needed a loaner car since the service was going to take some time. Called before my appt today to make sure they had the appt booked. When I arrived the advisor said they didnt have my appt and would not have a loaner car for 1-2 weeks and that they were calling people with appts a day in advance to let them know they have no loaner cars. What??? No call and no loaner car. Never had this problem at BMW/Mercedes/Porsche dealerships. The Manager said that I wasnt even on their list and didn't know what happened (I was the second customer this morning with the issue). Back to square 1 to schedule another appt (not with Audi McKinney) and wait. Would never buy a car from this dealership as they obviously don't know what good service looks like read more

I first want to say I thought this was a concierge level of service. I was going to buy my next car here based on "service". I need an alignment. That's it. Pretty simple. I wanted it done there because in the past they have been really good. I need pick up and delivery service. I can't take off work to get it done. Best they can do is a month out. Of course they can have a loaner car for me in two weeks, however, that requires time off of work. So, I bought Audi for this? This is the kind of service Ford offers. Extremely disappointed here. Came to this location from Oklahoma hoping to get a Subaru that someone had previously traded in here. After seeing it on their website, I called and spoke to Andy Stowe to set up a time to come check out the car. When I came in, Andy was the first desk by the door and he immediately greeted my dad and I. He then let us look at the car before the test drive. After bouncing some questions off of him, we came back inside to discuss the financial matters concerning the car. We were hoping to get the price down a bit, but after no luck, we left and ended up buying a new one from a Subaru dealership close by. You might be wondering why I'm leaving a good review when I didn't quite get the price I wanted? 3 reasons. (1.) Andy was definitely very kind and personable making the whole interaction easier. You get a very high sense of professionalism and courtesy when you walk into this place and talk with the different employees here. He even offered me a bottle of water after we left. Not that crazy, yes. But it really leaves a good impression. Car salesman usually have a bad rap for being fake and manipulative, but I didn't get that feeling here. Andy explained the care that goes into used cars here which is why they couldn't budge with the price too much. (2.) He had a gear s3 and note 8. Android *greater than sign* Apple (Yelp won't let me use that sign for whatever reason) (3.) Darth Vader socks. While I probably won't ever be back, the good visit would certainly make it easier if I were to return. Sure, I wish prices were a little cheaper and their used car company warranties were more affordable, but I'd still recommend them. read more

Okay, a mixed first experience purchasing. Be aware that they'll show you an "invoice" price along side an MSRP... that is not what they've actually paid for the car though. Was made aware of that when they were bringing a car in for me. They showed me their invoice of 62k and MSRP of 65k. I said my budget was 60k and the sales manager said they need at least 61k because that would net them at minimum 1000 over what they got the car for..... wait what?! What about that "invoice" you showed me that said you paid 62 for the car? lol Not exactly the transparency they promise. But hey, it's sales. My only other complaint is that the A4/S4/A5 all have Audi connect issues on the 2020 models. The dealer has zero idea when this will be fixed or IF it will be fixed. I will NEVER buy another vehicle here again. They sold me a car with no key to take the wheels off. They could of easily pulled the lugs and replaced them with the lugs I BOUGHT AND PROVIDED to make it easy. But instead they choose to "order" one when we all know they have the universal key kits. So here I am with no key to the wheels hoping I don't get a flat. And they supposedly pulled the wheels off to check the brakes already once. I brought my S4 in for service to have the front tires replaced & an alignment. Sewell kindly put me in a loan car for the week while my car was being worked on. While I was on my way home one evening I had a blow out on one of the tires & was stranded. I called Sewell's service department near closing time & got ahold of Marcelo. Although they didn't have someone that could come right out to help, he contacted Audi Roadside on my behalf & went out of his way to come by & wait with me until they arrived to change out my tire. This was such a kind gesture; he didn't have to do this but I'm so grateful that he did. It's experiences like this that you will never forget! On 10/8/2021, I went to Sewell Audi Mckinney, thinking I was going to be treated like the Sewell TV commercials advertise. I bought a new 2022 Audi Q5. After I bought the Audi, I was told a few things, that should have been told to me during showing, all the car features. I am a first time Audi buyer. I did not know, Audi does not offer, remote start on any of thier vehicles. There is a law in Germany that does not allow this feature on cars made in Germany. In the USA, remote start is pretty much a standard feature on the majority of new cars. Especially ones costing more than $50,000.00 dollars. The salesman also failed to tell me, while going over the car features, that the wifi, the Audi phone app and the MMI features are not working, right now. He says there is a software glith and did not know, when it will be fixed. I don't know why, all of this is not disclosed. Especially to a new Audi first time buyer. UPDATE: After 2 weeks, of not being able to use the above mentioned features, I called my salesman and told him my continued displeasure of the car features not working. He had the used car sales manager call me, to discuss my unhappiness. He assured me, if I would come back to the dealership, he would have me get with a tech specialist. He said, they may have a way to get around the software glitch. I went back and met Peter the tech specialist. We sat in my Audi and he showed me some new features, I was not aware of. He also, was able to get me signed into the Audi connect service,. Got my Audi wifi up and got the radio to show the artist and song names, on the radio display. The only thing, he could not get to work was the Audi phone app. He said, Audi hopes to have this software glitch fixed by the end of the year. After I had this meeting with Peter, I am more happy now and have the majority of the features working. I love my Audi Q5, but I feel I had to push the issue, to get some things working (fixed). All of this should have been taken care of, before I ever drove off the dealership lot. I thank Peter for getting the majority of the issues fixed. I will wait and see, where this goes from here. Hopefully, Sewell with live up to their reputation, as their commercials say. PS - Have you noticed, the owner replies to positive reviews, but does not reply to negative reviews? I wonder why. I already had it fixed and it literally took 35 minutes and cost less than $110. All done. As a matter of fact, it wasn't even what you all told me. I was told it was the crankcase position sensor, it was the ENGINE SPEED SENSOR wiring. YOU WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME $735 AS IF IT WAS SOMETHING ELSE. "OH WE NEED TO DROP THE SUBFRAME" YOU SAID AND THAT WAS A LIE. This is an ethics question after you make someone feel like a number and like it is all business. I am due for my wifes 15k on her TDI and my 25K is due on my TDI soon and even though my AudiCare allows me to use your store, I am afraid I will be taking my business to another location. read more

Worst dealer experience of our lives! Sold us a damaged and mechanically broken NEW car. Dealership is DEFINITELY not a Sewell dealership. They will make you think they are taking care of you but they could actually care less. Today we found out that they applied for our tags over 100 miles away from us even though we were very specific about where they should have been sent. Stay as far away from this place as possible and if you make the mistake of visiting, don't believe a word they say. Utterly and completely horrible and disappointing in every way.
