I've done business with these guys twice over the last few years. First time I was quite happy with their service, and pricing seemed fair. This time I was blown away by the service level. I came into requesting a Pioneer deck that I had heard good reviews of. They sold me the deck I requested and installed on schedule for a fair price. When I had a problem with the dec, they took it back in, immediately turned it quick and had it fixed, but I wasn't happy with the deck itself. They offered to swap it out for Kenwood deck of equivalent value for no extra charge! Super service, quality work, fair price. What else could you ask for? read more

Long story short this exact store lacks professionalism, communication, and general knowledge. Wasted six whole hours of my time in which I'm a working service member who can't afford to be without my vehicle for unforeseen times. Do not come here for anything because they will push their product and unnecessarily flex very biased knowledge to make you spend more. Funny thing is that I'm a mechanical engineer who has been installing parts and working on cars, Diesel engines, electrical systems, etc. for years now. More on why I'm HIGHLY unsatisfied with their service below. I needed a dash cam installed on my vehicle so I came to this specific store on Oracle. I contacted the assistant manager, Miguel, in advance to see if installing an aftermarket 3-Way dash cam would be possible and if I could set a specific time to come in. I was told 0930 would work, so I brought in my vehicle and camera to complete the installation. I asked beforehand do they want the product's owner manual or weblink so that they can know what they are working with and they told me no. Weird. When I arrived I was immediately asked if I wanted to buy one of their Kenwood series cameras there before I was even asked about the $200+ camera in my hands. I was then told it wouldn't get worked on until later that day even after I called in advance earlier that week. Around 1300, they finally called me to see if I wanted to install the INSIDE rear camera on the OUTSIDE of the vehicle even after I explained in full detail what I wanted 5 hours earlier that day. I was also told I was "missing a screw" in which I didn't need one since all you need is literally a piece of 3M adhesion tape holding it to the windshield. I would of literally came back to a rear dash camera in the place of my backup camera when I already had one there stock and I DID NOT request that to be completed. I was also told that the front camera wouldn't stick to the windshield due to the tint and AZ heat and that they couldn't install due to previous issues with other customers, 6 HOURS after I dropped it off. After that I was asked if I wanted to buy their camera equipment once again and I told them no for the upteenth time. After all was said and done the installation was not completed and my time was wasted. All of this blatant mishandling of a customer's time and patience could of been avoided with a simple conversation. read more

Went in to upgrade my 2000 factory. Great deal on a modern stereo and speakers. Didn't think I had time to stay for the install but the guys didn't want me to have to come back. So I'm here to make an update to this review. Please keep in mind the review previously was written without actually visually looking at the install itself. After taking a look with a friend of mine who also does car audio installation, he pointed out a few things. - A hole was drilled through the firewall, rather than fishing it to the opposite side where the rubber grommet was which would allow you to properly run the power cord. It's not going to hurt my car, but I mean.. it would have been nice if they didn't drill a hole through the metal of my car. - Where the grounding was, they didn't even scrape away paint on the surface around the bolt. They also used their own "self tapping metal screws," so to speak. If they looked a few inches to the left and pulled down the carpeting, they would have realized there were plenty of bolts right there. These things are a perfect example of lack of professionalism and lack of care. ------- * Update May 11th, 2015 * - I took my car back the other day and spoke to them about the issue with drilling a hole through my firewall and they explained the reasoning and also pointed out there was the protective "tubing" around the wiring, so I'm okay with that. I went ahead and scraped the grounding area myself.. other than that, I would recommend Audio Express. read more

Very disappointing! So called hands free didn't include connection to the steering wheel buttons. Volume cost extra and the phone could not be connected at all. Then, a shirt to front speaker causing constant whining. So irritating. Poor service and don't trust them to fix their own work. read more

Entering the store I asked how to improve factory sound in 08 grand marquis. Johnny said "first step" is new rear deck spkrs. $197 later (which included hidden undisclosed shop supplies) the sound was WORSE! Turns out they had connected the left rear spkr out of phase with other three. Only after big argument and lots of pushback where they claimed my head unit was "defective" which it demonstrably is not did they agree to reverse wires on one spkr. Yes sound was now sort of correct but I would have been better off with a powered sub in the trunk rather than waste this money. I had asked for all materials taken out of the car be returned to me but they trashed the proprietary ford plugs that went on original spkrs. These guys are a bunch of bullies I do not recommend you get mixed up with. read more

I just had the best experience that I have ever had in any Audio Express!!! So, my husband totaled our car, and we had just gotten our new one and needed a new system. Being previous customers already of Audio Express, we decided to get our new system there. When I go places, It's my entire family that comes along. Right away we were welcomed by Christopher Brown. He courteously showed us our options and was extremely knowledgable. My daughter was starting to get irritable so Christopher generously went and grabbed his goldfish out of his lunch bag and gave the goldfish to my daughter. As a mother let me tell you how welcoming that made us feel, and this customer service just continued. Throughout the entire process, they made us feel like family. It is rare these days to find customer service that goes above and beyond. They made sure that my family was taken care of in a price-efficient and timely manner. I would highly recommend... Was looking to upgrade my factory deck in my older pickup and hoping to have it professionally installed. Walked in on a Tuesday and was told that they wouldn't have time that day. I was then talked into pre paying for the deck and service and that if I came in at opening time of 9:00 they could get it in right away. When I arrived at 9:00 I was told there had been people waiting since 8:00 there were 4 cars ahead of me. After questioning the reasoning the manager said I was late it was 9:02 and he unlocked the doors at 8:55. Wish I would have known that beforehand I would have been here sooner. I asked how long it might be, rough case scenario... noon. Walked in around 12:15 to see all three inside employees including the manager playing on their cell phones in his office ignoring me. I finally asked to just have them refund my money and they acted like everything was my fault. I can't say how the actual work is there as I finally had my money refunded, but the customer service is terrible! read more

Not recommended. Poor workmanship. Deck was installed, and a plastic panel was broken and then was attempted to be glued back together without my knowledge. Also found dash panel crack where screws were over tightened. After long confrontation, first panel was replaced, didn't want to even bother with the second as it would have been too much to fix and I was just done with it. read more

When I got the battery changed in my 2011 Ford Mustang, my backup camera stopped working and we couldn't figure out why. Took it into Audio Express and spoke with Aaron and Mike about the problem, they told me to bring it in anytime at the beginning of the week so they could take a look at what's wrong. Not only did they find the problem, but they fixed it!!!! I was so happy when they told me the good news. :) They gave me such an amazing deal with the price and they were so sweet to me! Audio Express installed a back up camera on my 2013 Escort in 2015 and has worked perfectly since install. Last month the local Ford dealer put a new transmission in car and when they were finished the back up was no longer working. Took car to Audio Express and explained what happened. They fixed the backup camera in less than one hour and did not charge me for the repair. Have made numerous purchases with them in past and will continue to do so in future. Thanks read more

I was anxious to get my subs and amp installed so I went to audio express despite the reviews on their poor installations and being told by friends not to go there either. Pros: - Subs and amp hit hard. - Installation was 4 hours but they stayed past close to finish it. - Was able to go back if I needed my deck to be reprogrammed or if I had any problems. - Scott and D were awesome with hooking me up with deals. Cons: - Installers were really unprofessional. I understand they're outside working, but they come in the main store all raggedy and musty. - One of the installers looks like an alcoholic the way he carries himself and always looks drugged up. - When they did the ground wire in my trunk to a bolt, they didn't grind the paint away. Had to go back in and do it myself. Nonetheless, my subs do what they're supposed to do. They got the job done for a low cost. If I had the money, I would have easily gone to The Specialists on Fairview. read more

I had purchased a upgrade stereo for my vehicle. I reached out to audio express with pictures and descriptions and came in and showed them the stereo when they told me they could install it. They had my car for an hour the stereo was not installed because it wouldn't work due to different wiring and still charged me a $100. I went to the specialist for a second opinion they looked at the stereo looking up my car and were able to tell me without charging me a $100 that it wouldn't work. I live 1.5hrs away from Tucson. I purchased the radio on Sunday probably 10minute before closing. I changed my mind a billion times before I settled on the radio for the truck I purchased for the dogs. Let's just say I wasn't looking for anything fancy, just a simple radio with Bluetooth capabilities so I can talk while driving (trying not to break the law). Of course, they could not install it that Sunday because they were closing. They offered for me to return any day of the week for them to install it. I originally planned a returning on Thursdays but I couldn't return until Friday. I showed up unannounced with no appointment. I'm expecting the worst as it's 11 am on Friday and it should be busy. Yes, they have three jobs ahead of me and the best option is drop off/pick up later. I'm flustered as I don't have anyone to pick me up. I told him I would wait. The guy told me what options for food were in the plaza for lunch and their lounge area (that needs work; maybe a feminine touch). I went to get a pedicure, lunch and walk around the plaza for a bit, probably was 2hrs. To my surprise, when I returned my truck was ready. You must understand I was expecting to be there all day. The staff was tremendously knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. Could you imagine having to deal with a customer that change their mind a billion time, show up unannounced and still provide smiling customer services? Well, that's what I got and would go back. For the quality of the really cheap radio purchased, it's worth more than it's priced. My girlfriend and I wanted to test the background/road noise captured on other car mics that makes you sound tunneled or in a vacuum. Let's just say it was undetectable that she thought I was lying. She thought I did not have her on the car Bluetooth and thought I was pulling her leg. FYI, I'm comparing this to my regular car (Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 and a Toyota Rav4). The manager jumped in and took car of a technical problem caused by my eBay and Craigslist sources. After initially being stumped and wanting to charge me for parts and labor, the manager heard my cries of frustration and got the problem resolved. They ate some of the labor cost but got a replacement component sale. read more

The remote start installed by Audio Express caused severe electrical problems in our van and had to be removed by the dealership to make it safe to drive again. Audio Express refused to refund the faulty installation much less pay for the extra repairs that they caused. We're out $600 with no remote start and they endangered our children. read more

My mom went in at 10am to get speakers my stepdad bought from them as a Christmas gift installed. They told at the time she had a few cars ahead of her and it would be a few hours. He signed us in and put us "in line" so we could come back later. We came back shortly after noon and were told we were still in line. We took nearly 2 hours eating lunch at Denny's next door only to find her car still had not been worked on! They told us it could be up to another 3 hours to finish the cars they were on and do hers. We explained the situation and they blamed us for leaving even though they gave us the go ahead earlier in the day to do tbat so we wouldnt have to wait forever. I have to start off saying I am shocked at some of these reviews on here. I have dealt with this location for 2 yrs and have had nothing but great assistants especially by the store manager Scott. I just had my keys stollen and the staff went above and beyond to help me through the process and make me feel safe. They recommended a fabulous locksmith that was at my house on a weekend within 2 hours. Then they reset my alarm. The current assistant manager Diamond/ sales rep Carlos / install manager Corby and of course Scott the manager have always been pleasant and knowledgeable when I go in. No... The facility isn't the best looking but the current staff has no power to really change that. Maybe the people complaining on the other reviews don't know how to communicate and make connections with people. read more

If I could leave a negative -5 stars I would, this is the most unprofessional place I have ever been to I came here five years ago with the same experience I should have learned my lesson obviously I did not I came back for more torture. I figured after 5 years employees would have change and things would have gotten better nope! Antonio the salesman had me come in this past Saturday that 10 for a 2 to 3 hour max install I was here until 7 in the evening when they closed. They installed a complete system in my company van I need to Bluetooth wireless hands-free in my company van. When I got my van back when I was driving home I went to use my turn signals they no longer work I was unable to charge my phone due to the fact the cigarette lighter was not plugged back in behind the dash. I came back on Monday they could care less and told me to come back the next day with no turn signals I came back the following day they told me they did not have time to work on my van that they had a stereo there installing I would think safety issue with no turn signals would take precedence over installing a sub. I came back for the third time today being Thursday and it was called the same frigging thing we are busy we do not have time to get to it mean while I have received a repair ticket for not using my turn signals by Tucson Police Department. They told me to come back tomorrow being Friday at 9 so I can miss more work and probably not have this repaired. The managers they have running this store do not care about customer service whatsoever and the sales people are any better I've been here three days this week and my salesperson look me right in the face and said what issues not a care in the world had no idea what I was talking about lol . If I had the means I would take my van somewhere else and have it repaired I don't therefore I have to suffer through another trip to Audio Express. I will never bring any of my fleet vehicles here again or my personal vehicles do not come to Audio Express go to the Specialists will pay more but it will be worth it in the end and no aggravations no I don't work for the specialists. read more

I'm not sure why my previous review is not there anymore. But Matt Brady that manager and the crew there are fantastic! Had a full front to back stereo system installed in my 2016 dodge ram and everything we think so smooth! Great speakers JL I think was the brand. And then they hooked me up with a sybwoofer after hearing me say that I wanted a little more bass. I was given a wonderful demonstration on my new radio and Android Auto (it's awesome!) love the sound and ease of use. Will be back with my jeep for sure!! read more
