Stopped for lunch here and I was blown away. That bread on my Turkey Pesto Sandwich was the softest and fluffiest bread I have ever eaten, like biting into a cloud! Loved everything on the sandwich too, it was big and filling and unbelievably delicious. I'd get that again in a heartbeat! My mom and nephew got the chowder and mac and I tasted both and they were both really yummy! I loved ripping bits of the sourdough bread as well once they had finished most of the insides. It was super busy and we were barely able to find a table for all of us so just be prepared if you want to eat lunch here during the lunch rush. But yea, my sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life and if I ever go back to California Adventure, I'm going to make sure I get another one! read more

Date of Visit: June 3, 2026 (Mid-afternoon) My family and I visited Aunt Cass Cafe during our Disneyland vacation after receiving a recommendation from friends. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined by an extremely rude and unprofessional employee. Every register had a "Mobile Order" sign except for one. To avoid waiting in the wrong line, I approached the only available register and politely asked the employee standing there, a short woman with glasses, whether it was the correct register for regular (non-mobile) orders. Instead of answering a simple yes-or-no question, she pointed away and said, "The line starts over there." I explained that I understood where the line was and only wanted to confirm that the register accepted regular orders before my family waited. Rather than answering, she repeated, "The line starts over there." The interaction became even more frustrating because she repeatedly pointed toward the gentleman standing in line and insisted that the line started there, clearly trying to direct me away from the register instead of answering my question. What she did not realize was that the gentleman she kept pointing to was my husband. After I explained for the third time that I understood where the line started and that the man in line was my husband, her demeanor immediately changed. She appeared visibly irritated and abruptly snapped, "YES, IT IS!" I replied that this was all I had been asking from the beginning. Instead of acknowledging the misunderstanding, she snapped back, "THIS IS WHAT I WAS SAYING!" This entire interaction was unnecessary, hostile, and unprofessional. A simple one-word answer would have resolved the situation in seconds. Instead, a straightforward question was met with repeated dismissiveness, attitude, and frustration. We came to Disneyland to enjoy a magical vacation with our three children, not to be treated with disrespect for asking a basic question. Customer service employees represent the establishment they work for, and this employee's behavior reflected very poorly on Aunt Cass Cafe. Based on this experience, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this establishment. read more

I came to Aunt Cass Cafe because I saw a seasonal bread bowl soup I wanted to try. People were talking about how great the Chicken Pot Pie Bread Bowl was so I wanted to give it a shot. Chicken Pot Pie Bread Bowl - Honestly, it was just okay. There wasn't much chicken and not much soup either. The crispy wonton wrapper on top was over-seasoned. The soup itself was okay, but there wasn't much in the soup. The bread was a standard sourdough bread bowl. AUNT CASS IS THE GOAT Ever since this restaurant got re-themed to Aunt Cass Cafe, it's offered some of the best bites (and drinks) in the park! I love the fun foods that are an Asian twist of American classics and I love all the other Asian fusion food they offer here. The thing Aunt Cass always nails is the BREAD PUDDING. I don't even eat that much bread pudding outside of Disney, but Aunt Cass sure knows how to do it. Ughhh I would highly recommend you do not get the baymax almond cold brew with orange foam....it is the nastiest thing ever. It's like someone decided to out orange cleaner in a drink. Will definitely turn your stomach into knots and make you feel sick. I repeat do not get it. The Strawberry green tea pudding was okay. It was mediocre and not that good. Not my favorite dessert to get at disney. I ordered the clam chowder bowl and the viral Dutch crunch turkey pesto sandwich. They were both a disappointment today. The Dutch crunch bread was hard on top. It was so hard it cut up the roof of my mouth. I had to ask the staff if it was suppose to be like that. They said yes. I also ordered a clam chowder bowl for my hubby. I took a sip of it and it was way off in taste. This was the second time we had ordered the soup here. I took it back to the counter and the lady was very nice. She let me sample the batch of clam chowder before replacing the one we returned. The second time around the clam chowder did taste good. Seating outside is very difficult to find. Aunt Cass Cafe at Disney California Adventure is one of those spots where I always think I might try something new, but somehow end up happily committing to the sourdough bread bowl again. The menu has some interesting food options, but that warm bread situation is hard to ignore on a park day. This corner of the park feels like a fast dining hub, almost a mini food court, with several eateries packed into one large shared space that can get pretty chaotic with people and strollers everywhere. That said, there's plenty of shade, lots of seating turnover, and enough variety that everyone in a group can usually find something they want. This is one of the best cold brews that Disney has offered, second to the Black Caf at Galaxy's Edge. The Cinnamon-Apple Cold Brew is a caramel cold brew with apple cinnamon foam and apple cereal dust. The funniest thing is, I hardly taste the cinnamon and apple. I'm not even a fan of either but it others were raving about it on social media, so I thought I'd gave it a try and I'm glad I did. It's a bit decadent in terms of sweetness but it doesn't have any of the acidity that the other cold brews have been having lately. I actually got the drink twice because of how good it was. The cold brew itself is sweet but the foam adds a bit of creaminess and an extra hint of sweetness. Unfortunately, it's a seasonal item so it won't be available long. Another seasonal item worth trying is the Chicken Pot Pie Soup. This one was also amazing. We got lucky this day because the sourdough bread bowls were made fresh. I've tried them on multiple occasions where they're a bit tough and stale, but not today. My only gripe is that the soup itself was a bit too salty, and that's coming from someone who loves salty food. The other thing was that I think our serving came with just a singular piece of chicken. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was an unlucky serving, but I didn't mind it so much because the consistency and flavor of the soup were amazing. read more

Our favorite comfort food place in the park! I love our tradition of getting a clam chowder in the famous Boudin's sour dough bread bowl. Especially because in the spring time, Southern California nights can still be chilly, so this is a great way to stay warm. The service was quick, but I definitely recommend using the mobile order in the Disneyland app - and plan ahead because the wait time can still be a while, especially during peek lunch and dinner hours. read more

The chicken pot pie soup was hearty, with a little too much pepper. The New England clam chowder was very good, with chunks of clams, potatoes, veggies and the soup was just the right texture. Even the kiddo - who doesnt like sour dough - devoured the bread bowl afterwards because he liked the soup so much. The Honey Lemon-ade was good too. I loved the Pacific Wharf at California Adventure. It had good food and this California girl loved the theme. As a San Franciscan and big Big Hero Six fan, I was so excited to see Aunt Cass Cafe replace the old Boudin cafe at Pacific Wharf. If fits with the theme and the decor was warm, cozy, and comforting. They have clam chowder in Boudin sourdough bread bowls, chili in Mickey-shaped sourdough bread bowls, special seasonal drinks like cinnamon apple cold brew. My mom and I shared the - served with Potato Chips California Roll Sandwich ($12.49) The shrimp crab salad could've had more shrimp and it was fake crab, but still good. It was a bit salty from the wasabi mayo sauce but I loved the milk bread. It was creamy with good consistency. - Chilled Shrimp Soba Noodle Salad ($21.49) This one was good! We enjoyed the tofu, fresh cabbage, edamame, carrots, roasted corn, scallions and cilantro with sesame ginger dressing. It felt more ethnic, diverse, fresh, healthy, and just plain tasty. My review is strictly for the matcha strawberry bread pudding. The mobile order line was long, even when the app said food was ready, and it wasn't the most clearly marked line. Kind of frustrating. 4/5 stars for the bread pudding. It was big so good enough to share and worth the price tag. The matcha and strawberry went well together, though it was heavier on strawberry. Love the San Fransokyo Clam Chowder in a bread bowl here! It's such a cozy dish, and I love the twist on it with the inclusion of white miso in the flavor. It adds an extra bit of savoriness that I think complements the dish really well. If you're not a fan of miso, though, I don't believe they serve the clam chowder without miso, so you'll likely want to get it elsewhere. I also tried the California Roll sandwich. I like the idea of it - the milk bread is fluffy and the added shrimp is nice. I think they went a little heavy on the sauce they used, though, and the sandwich started to taste overly salty towards the end. The menu description had garlic chips as the side, but I got a bag of sea salt chips instead. These were fine, but I would have preferred garlic chips. Seating in the San Fransokyo area is very hard to find during busy meal times, so it might take a while to grab a seat. I'd recommend coming during off-peak mealtimes to have an easier time, or getting your food and eating in a different area like Cars Land. read more

This place was much better than I expected especially for a place within a park. It could have been because of the already long day of travel that started at 3am eastern time, or that we were just hungry, but this interesting spot nestled in Disney's California Adventure Park is a strange amalgamation of French cafe and bakery, and Asian fusion quick order spot. Built around the lake area of the park, you enter and order your food and then once it is ready, you retrieve your order and then leave the building to sit at a large array of tables in an al fresco area. Ivy had a crazy mashup of an in-house baked bread bowl, hollowed-out and then filled with cavatappi mac and cheese. While I didn't have this as my meal, I did taste it and it was pretty darn good. The bread bowl though...absolutely divine. Nice crusty exterior, with a delicious chewy inside that was a bit sweet, a bit yeasty, and just a perfect example of well baked French bread. I had some kind of strange pita thing that was basically a California roll or something similar turned into a handheld sandwich; complete with seaweed salad and everything. It was actually incredibly tasty, despite being very unique and was a great option for a warm day after being in the sun for a good portion of the morning. If you happen to be in California Adventure this is an outstanding place to stop for a quick bite or specifically for lunch. It has multiple little different food venues situated around it and based on our experience at two of them it is a great option. Despite them being very busy, it has all the hallmarks of a Disney location, with extremely friendly staff and a quick moving and efficient process that kept guest frustration low and everyone that was hungry fed...and this leads me to the California trip special addition! An interesting fast food place in Disney California. They have the regular clam chowder in the bowl which isn't homemade but still good and the bread bowls are relatively fresh. We enjoyed the bacon cheddar ale soup in a bread bowl and soba noodles salad, both had great flavors. The salad got boring near the end and we didn't finish the empty bread bowl. I love this quick service and it's very convenient when using mobile order. My favorite is the Mac and cheese sourdough bowl. The Mac and cheese is creamy and has a nice rich flavor. The sourdough bowl is yummy but can be overwhelming with carbs on carbs. I've tried the San Fransokyo clam chowder too. It's good but I do prefer the regular one at Harbour Galley. The must try items are the seasonal bread puddings. My favorite is the Taro bread pudding that they had for the Halloween season, it was soooo delicious. Moist and not too sweet with an emphasis on the taro flavor. The Japanese fluffy cheesecake is decent but the bread pudding is definitely the star of desserts here. I love the Peach Soju cocktail as well, very refreshing and you can barely taste the alcohol.
