    Pretzel case
    Marissa L.

It was National Pretzel Day a few days ago, and I stopped into this Auntie Anne's to pick up my free pretzel. Service was quick and efficient, and there were no issues redeeming on the rewards app. It's a really small store that's shared with Cinnabon, so especially convenient if you want treats from both!

You cannot pass this place with lout walking in here. The smell draws you in from a mile away. It is a beautiful smell! I usually get the cinnabon's and they are rich, cinnamony, and taste amazing. I am always surprised by how dense these things are and one of them when surely put you on a huge sugar rush! My colleague told me about a new thing which is the cross between the chocolate chip cookie and cinnamon roll. This Cinnamon roll chocolate chip cookie may be the guiltiest pleasure I have ever had. It messes with your mind but you get the best of both worlds and it works. A must try! I don't understand why they sell hot dogs and pepperoni pizza type things. Maybe it is the Aunti Anne side of the business but my opinion is to stick to the Cinnamon rolls! They are ridiculously good! Try the cookies!

Sign posted that employee was in the bathroom, kindly waited for 10 minutes then looked inside and saw employee sitting in the back staring at me.

The pork soup dumplings arrived literally spilling pink/red liquid that looked like blood. My mother had never tried soup dumplings before, so we were hoping for a fun experience, but she immediately spit it out. I brought it back and showed the staff the uncooked pork and the blood/red liquid on the napkin. They simply re-steamed them and brought them back except now there was no soup left inside the dumplings at all. The chicken teriyaki was tough and chewy, almost like jerky, as if it had been overcooked on an extremely hot grill or deep fried too long. The spring rolls were mediocre at best, with vegetables inside that had a mushy, paste-like texture. Very disappointing. Honestly, the best part of the meal was the rice. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

I was happy to see certain items on the menu were designated as vegetarian. If I lived in town I would come back and try all their veggie friendly options. The small order of veg dumplings was a very reasonable price and portion. I thought they were well stuffed with veggies. I was a little disappointed with the dumpling wrapper- i prefer a lighter softer wrapper. But overall I still ate it all, and it was a quick nice snack. My husband really enjoyed his orange chicken with rice and veggies. It was a huge portion- he was only able to eat half of it. Great value.

This time at the Times Square location after seeing Oh! Mary. Classic cheese smashburgers paired with Mexican Cokes. It's easily one of the better smashburgers around--juicy patty, delicious sauce, grilled onions, pickles and a soft bun. The burgers are on the smaller side (not White Castle small, but my daughter usually eats two!), but at $6.50 for a single patty cheeseburger, it's a OK value. Don't skip the fries--they are crispy, delicious, and a generous portion for the price. Quick, easy, and fast! The staff was friendly, welcoming, and easygoing. One small snag at this location. My daughter requested, "no pickles." There were pickles in her burger. No biggie. She simply took them out and gave them to me. This location's supervisor overheard us. He apologized. We told him it was ok. No big deal. He didn't accept that. While we appreciated his standards, we felt put on the spot as much as his crew did. We felt bad for the cashier and made sure we told him we were sorry for how things went down. None of it was needed nor justified. Hence, the 4 out of 5 stars! Fast-casual vibe that feels a bit more low-key than standard fast-food joints. At this location there's a few booths, but they are usually occupied. We had to wait a few minutes until people left to get seats. 7th Street always hits!

We hopped in line but waited less than a minute because the service was incredibly fast. I managed to snatch a table within 30 seconds, and my husband got our food in less than two minutes. The service was fantastic! The food was actually really good--we got the chicken sandwich, which features three chicken tenders with lettuce and their special sauce, served with french fries and a Coke. Everything was delicious and very well priced. Getting a seat and having such quick service made everything work out perfectly. I also loved the ambiance of the store, they play cool music and the decor is great, especially the disco balls!

I ordered the three finger combo. What came out was just plain sad looking. Tiny chicken fingers, barely cooked fries. The Raising Cane's sauce was good but the vessels to that sauce were so lacking. The breading on these chicken fingers was nothing special and again, so so small. Service was fast at least, but the place itself was dirty and virtually every table needed a wipe down. I know, I know, it's Penn Station, it's supposed to be a little grimy. Honestly, if these chicken fingers weren't so tiny and my fries were properly cooked I could deal with a little grime. But come on.
