Nice new beauty lounge in south SJ. Located in the Monterey Plaza. They offer nail and lash services, and they also have a Japanese-style head spa. Their staff are friendly and they are gentle enough that I bring my 8-year old with me every 3 weeks or so. They offer a kids mani-pedi and it's perfect for her. The nail techs follow specific instructions that I give them and they know not to trim cuticles for kiddos. I've had gel manicures with them before and they create really pretty styles. Finally a nail salon in the area! Glam offers so many services so I decided to try it out for my nails. I decided to go with the Tap gel which is a hybrid of gel and builder gel, which is so much more healthier than acrylics. Leanne was very sweet and gentle when working on my nails and was able to do miffy matcha nails for my birthday! I will definitely book her other services next time :) read more

The place is nice and clean. However, there's an up charge for everything! I would prefer a set price rather than a low cost option but it doesn't come with anything unless I pay an extra $15 for this and a $15 for that. I ended up paying $90 (before tips) for a gel pedicure. Unfortunately, I won't be back. read more

I stumbled upon this place today and what a find! I met Nga (owner) and she was such a blessing to me today. She has the best energy / calm aura and I loved hearing the story of how she started in the industry. Talk about having a calling! I live in MV but was in the plaza for the trampoline park for a son's bday party. Wanted to multi task and pamper myself while he was at the bday party and gosh... I think I found my next salon! I have tried many over the years and my techs keep leaving various salons so it's been tough last few years. I am willing to drive the 25 mins to see her! service was quick , they only had one customer is store so after checking in i was serviced right away. i went in for an underarm waxing , the wax was okay didn't feel like she took her time with it. charged me 25$. once i got to take a look i can tell they missed a lot of spots and there were small little hairs everywhere still intact. if you're going to be charging 25$. atleast do a good thorough job. won't be coming again :/ gotten better waxes for cheaper. read more

This salon is new to the plaza and much needed! The space is big and beautiful and super clean. I got a gel builder manicure (my first). The tech was gentle and checked in with me throughout the service to make sure I was happy with the shaping and color. This is probably the cleanest and most beautiful nail salon I've been to in the Bay Area. They also have pleasant music playing! As far as the services I am really impressed so far. They have tons of colors to select from and they also have TAP hybrid gel. I love TAP and it's the only salon I have found in the South Bay that uses it. My pedicures and manicures have turned out great the two times I've been and I will be going back! The owner is very friendly and accommodating as well!
