I was looking for a windshield replacement today and was getting pretty unhappy with the prices i was being quoted. when I called in and spoke to Tabitha I was very relieved, she helped me get my price down lower than any company I had spoken to. Also, she was extremely helpful and friendly which is rare. Most customer service, I have found, entails a lot of labored interest and a margin of passive aggressive shaming but this experience was the opposite of that. Very professional. Application process took about 30 minutes via phone. Once I had it scheduled within the four hour window the exchange went very smoothly. They arrived within the 9-1PM window and did the job within 30 minutes. Be aware that they do not recommend driving the car for at least 30 minutes to allow the glue to seal. Still have yet to fully test the glass but so far everything has met my expectations. Would recommend to other as they are very price competitive with what I found in the area. read more

I should have known better since the quotes from every other company in town were even higher. She did a great job finding me the least cost alternative and then was able to schedule my replacement for later the same day. I had issues with the original installation, which was due to the technician being delayed and somewhat distracted due to a wreck, which was very unfortunate. A week later, I noticed a tear in the upper seal. They had not replaced that upper seal. After sending pictures of the area, they sent the technician back out to replace the seal. Scheduled a mobile service appointment today (Saturday) between 12:00 - 5:00pm. It's now 5:30pm, and no contact from anyone. I've found 3 different numbers for them online that all ring twice and go to the same voicemail, which I've left multiple messages at - VERY FRUSTRATING. Noticed that there is a $200 charge from this company pending on my credit card, which I will be reporting as fraud, and now may even have to cancel my card. I had two chips in my windshield and called about getting them fixed. I was quoted $139 minus a $30 "discount" if I post a yelp review. So here I am. I have had chips filled in the past and you couldn't even tell where the damage was. This time, the tech took 10 minutes (when in the past it took 45) and then texted me saying he "took care of it but you can still see the chips". I get back to my vehicle and it doesn't look like ANYTHING had been done. The chips were different from each other (one was like a starburst and the other a deep round hole). I called the tech and he said "If you are not happy you can apply the cost to a new windshield". WHAT? How about you explain that to me ahead of time! I called the office line and the dispatch girl said "let me have my boss call you". Twenty minutes later I get an EMAIL from him saying that "chips are like snowflakes, no two are alike" and "I can apply towards a new windshield". Please. I drive a jeep, I am used to chips. I have had them filled in the past and you couldn't even TELL where they were. Also, if you have an unhappy customer, PICK UP THE PHONE. Don't email. HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES. They either didn't do ANYTHING, or they do not know what they are doing. One or the other. Regardless, I would not do business with them if you are looking to get a chip replaced. My experience with Austin Mobile Glass was extremely negative. The installation was shoddy, the new windshield was not compatible with the forward collision warning camera, and Norm (the owner) gave me the run around and then the brush off when I asked for a refund. Surely there are much better glass repair companies than this one. read more

The absolute WORST experience I have ever had with a company. Period. I seriously doubt the validity of the positve reviews listed here and wouldn't be surprised at all if they were fake and written by AMG. The tech (Esparza) was a complete idiot. I paid $189 to have my windshield replaced, and he destroyed the body surrounding the windshield on all four sides. I just got three different estimates for the repairs: the LOWEST was $1130. The company refuses to pay. The supervisor, Andrew Ode is very shady and has been incredibly rude and unprofessional about the entire thing. Both Esparza and Ode admitted they were responsible for the damages, but I was told that the company wouldn't fix it because they weren't able to find the parts in a junkyard and aren't willing to pay for after market parts or have the work done by another body shop. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! oh, BTW, I contacted the State Controller and Secretary of State about this business. They are operating illegally and haven't filled taxes, only their DBA in Travis County. The state has no legitimate listing for this business. Beware. read more

Called Mobile Glass in San Marcos to come out and fix a broken window in my Toyota Camry. While they did fix the window, they left glass ALL throughout the inside of my car (which they said they would vaccuum out), and they broke my door. It would not open after they fixed my window and my power locks also stopped working. While my handles were physically broken off before the incident, the door still opened and closed and functioned. Since my handles were broken before the incident, the manager, Norman, said he would not send anyone out to even take a look at the damages and that he was not responsible for fixing it. My boyfriend ended up prying glass out of the inner handle that they broke, and got my door working again. Had they cleaned up all the glass properly it would not have happened. They sent out three people to fix one window and they couldn't even do it without breaking the door in the process and leaving glass everywhere. Terrible company. If you use them you'd better hope they don't break something else in the process and them claim it is not their responsibility. About to file a complain with BBB now. read more

So, I spoke to Norman (?) if that 's his real name!! And got schooled in finding out if my windshield has wiper sensor. So, I went outside and poured a glass of water on the windshield. Well, guess what it does have wiper sensors!! But, since I am getting quotes on a new windshield, I don't rightly know if I'm going to use these people, but I might. Depends on what my husband says!! Great customer service. Woke up to find my truck window smashed. Called Mobile Glass to see if they could fix the window that day. Handled payment over the phone and they told me a service guy would come to my office between 12-4. Got a call at 12:15 that the repair guy was here. Took him about 30-45 minutes to repair the window and remove most of the shattered glass inside my truck. Always nice to have a smooth experience when dealing with something crappy like a car break-in. read more

Avoid! First, they don't answer their phone ever and deal exclusively with you by text and email. We booked them a week in advance. I scheduled to work at home for the required 4-hour window. They also require you to pay in advance, which other companies do not. Kristen called the afternoon before and said "it was totally my bad, but I didn't order your window; we'll need to come between 3-7, which I had originally explained wouldn't work." As I explained my frustration (no name calling, no yelling), Kristen said she would refund the money and hung up on me. Sent a message with the refund saying I was not her kind of customer. I left a voice message and sent an email laying out my concerns and asking them to call me back. They never did. I followed the suggestion of another reviewer and immediately booked service with Auto Glass Solutions who answer their phone, do not require a prepayment, are cordial, and cost less. Esparza came out an fixed my window in no time. Mobile glass came out the very same day and replaced a broken window on my car for a very reasonable price. They are happy to beat any quotes. I did notice the the new window installed didn't quite fit right and I could hear the wind as I drove the next morning. I called them up and they had a new window shipped and Tim came the next day to replace. Would have been five stars if they cleaned up my broken glass a little better and my window and door handle was full of grease the second time around, but I still like the price and efficiency! read more

I had my windshield replaced. After installation, I noticed some of the trim was very loose. I called and I was told that because it was an older vehicle the trim would not fit properly, but they did not offer to send anyone out to look at it. My husband had to snap the trim into place and it DID fit properly. In addition, while they did the work, they laid the broken windshield in my yard, in the sun, which burnt my grass. read more

Full disclosure...Mobile Glass offered me a $30 discount for writing a review. Had a windshield rock chip needing repair. The woman who took my call at Mobile Glass, Melissa, was very friendly and helpful. But the scheduling process was longer and more difficult than it needs to be, in part due to the explanation for writing this review. Was scheduled between 10:00am and 2:00pm the next day; crew arrived shortly after 10:00am, which is good service (they called about twenty minutes before arriving, just as they said they would). The tech, Ben, was very friendly and did quick work. I knew chip wouldn't disappear, but Ben was able to minimize it. Also, as I walked out, saw them cleaning the whole windshield, another plus. So overall, quite pleased with the actual work, but even with the discount, the price was a little higher than other chips I've had repaired. And in this review writing process, the default sign-in is through Facebook where you're informed Mobile Glass will obtain your "public profile, friend list and email address." I realize this is marketing in the digital age, but it all seemed just a bit heavy-handed with the real emphasis on obtaining useful marketing info, not fixing my windshield. read more

I had a rock hit my windshield just at the right spot that it sent a crack running through my windshield. The customer service guy, Drew, was really nice and helpful. I'm pleased with the overall job and the technician was very nice. I did have a small bead of black adhesive on my gray trim piece around the windshield that won't come off, but if that is the worst of it, then I can't complain too much. The price is great, but customer service and care is very very poor. I had a windshield replaced. The installer a pretty good job. Discovered an issue when I drove my vehicle. Called the shop and spoke the manager "Andrew". He said the installer would be out the next day, we scheduled an appointment (1 hour block). Installer never showed up for the appointment. Call and spoked to "Andrew" and got the run around why the guy never shower an was told that now I needed to bring my vehicle to shop for "warranty" work. Asked to speak to the owner " Norman Newsome"' was told that he would give me call. Guess what.. No call. Took my vehicle in for warranty work (2 days after the installation). Problem was fixed, after having to wait for installer to show up. Again asked to speak to owner, was told my Andrew that he can't make the owner call. Found Norman's phone number and left message on his voice mail to please give me a call... It's been a week and still no call from Norman. Guess he does not care about following up with customers. I called before they opened on Saturday morning and got a prompt call back once in their normal working hours. It was raining, so the gentleman on the phone suggested that we wait until Monday unless we had a fully covered workspace for the technician. We took his advise set-up a 9am to 2pm appointment for today. Also, the gentleman on the phone was very nice and pleasant to work with. Monday, the day of service they called at 11:36am to confirm they would be at our house by 12:15. They arrived just as expected. Our vehicle had previously windshield replacement as we bought it used. The technician explained that the old windshield was not installed properly and he would try to correct the issue. He was successful and did not charge any extra for the work. The price was very reasonable especially since they came to fix it at our house. Back in April, I shopped around a bit for a good price for window repair/replacement because my driver side window of my Dodge pickup had a crack all the way down it from being shot at with a BB gun. I called and set something up next day- they came to my house and the guy ended up having brought over the wrong type of glass for the window so he had to return later in the afternoon to fix it. I know mistakes happen and this is the least of my complaints about them. What happened next is that a few days ago the window he ended up replacing back in April cracked all the way down from inside the inner pane of the window glass and I called them because I spent $250.00 on this job and it was supposed to come with a "lifetime warranty", but they told me they cannot come back out to fix it or give me my money back because I don't have the reciept. I am pretty ticked off that they cannot go to look up the transaction on their system at all (supposedly) because I don't honestly believe that crap. If that's true, what type of business doesn't have these records kept somewhere? This speaks volumes about how this place does business. I recommend going elsewhere for better service and a job that will last a lifetime. read more

DONT DO IT! I set up for them to come out over the phone, and I should have known something was strange with the guy on the other end kept insisting he had met my mother and me before (no you haven't and that is weird to say on a phone call)... i met them to fix my glass.. 2 hours later the guy tells me he installed the wrong piece of glass in my car. When I talk to who was apparently the owner he says they will come back install the correct piece of glass. He then tells me he called the dealer and lies to me about the cost (I called the dealer to check) and actually wanted to charge me $600 over the price the dealer had told me the glass was - is that what they call a service fee? and for their own mistake? Not only that but when I asked the "owner" why they would be charging me a service fee for their mistake, he flew off the handle and began to curse over and over again at me and call me things nobody should ever call a woman. Not only were they unprofessional, and had terrible customer service on a level I have never imagined experiencing, but now I am having to pay once again for someone else to fix the work that this company had messed up.
