There was no wait so the guys got straight to work and I didn't have to wait that long at all. They provide a foldable chair to sit right outside the shop, but waiting is no problem because they are so fast! For a Lexus GS 300, it came out to be $39.95 for a basic oil change, which was the first thing he told me before I gave them my keys. They check tires and other fluids, wash your windows, and vacuum the front- that was nice. They didn't try to sell me anything else, he just told me what he did to my car and what I should look out for. Overall I had a great experience here and the only hassle I had was missing the turn on the way there then having to do a U-turn. They're next to a place called A1 repairs, so just look for "Auto Repairs" and you're in the right spot. read more

Almost impossible not to miss due to the lack of street-side signage. It shares a parking lot with A1 Performance Auto Repair and Hank Auto Repair, so look for those signs as you're driving. Once you're in the lot, it's right past A1. Prices in the Yelp blurb are outdated, so call ahead to avoid any surprise about the price. $39.95 out the door for an oil change. Super fast service (no wait at noon on a Thursday), whereas some other shops had told me to come in after 2pm or after 4pm. Time is money, right? All I needed was a tire plugged. Called and was quoted a certain price. Arrived, and was told it was actually more than double the quoted price "because it's a Tesla" (huh? I Came in on a Saturday morning right when they opened for an oil change for my 2013 Honda Fit. I normally do them myself, but my new apartment doesn't provide a good location, so I was looking for an inexpensive and quick alternative. Auto Champs is a no-frills honest auto mechanic. What they lack in fancy waiting rooms they more than make up for in courtesy and quick service. The oil change included airing up the tires, topping off other fluids, interior vacuum, and windshield cleaning. I was told that the tires were showing inside tread wear due to worn shocks, but there were no pushy attempts to sell me on anything beyond what I went in for. I am extremely happy with my experience. There's an advertised price plus disposal and fees. I was out the door in less than 20 minutes for $32. That's about what I would spend to do it myself. read more

Although not the prettiest, the place definitely is one of the quickest. I got a full synthetic oil change done, which included window washing and general checkup of the car. They were upfront about the costs and did not try any upselling. While they were at it they topped up the windshield wash fluid and the brake fluid which were running low. read more

I Stopped in here recently for an oil change. They were thorough beyond the obvious; checked other fluids, cleaned windows, even vacuumed, friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt service. I came back the following week to get my Air conditioning freon recharged. Again, great prices, prompt, friendly service. Both times I paid reasonable prices. I started going to Marcello's shop 3 years ago from a friend's recommendation. Since going there I've been nothing but pleased. Marcello is as honest as they come. I've had to get my car taken care of at another shop because I was out of town once. They other shop quoted me about 3 jobs that needed to get taken care of. When I got back to town I brought my car to Marcello and he took a look. He told me I only needed 1 of the 3 things done. He also quoted me a much lower price for that one job than the other shop. I always TRUST Marcello to steer me in the right direction. He never tries to up sell anything and tells me what really NEEDS to be done. He'll also tell me how much time/miles I have left on particular parts. Even if I bring up that another shop said that I should get something taken care of, he'll tell me if it's worth taking care of it it now, later or ever. "Thank you" *Click* So let me get this straight, you charge some cars $31.99 for an oil change which includes (I assume) conventional oil and common oil filter. But when you don't need to provide any materials or parts, you end up charging more? I've done tons of oil changes on my various cars (325i, 330CI, M3, Pilot, MDX) and the 135i does not require any more work than usual. It's the same 3 basic steps: drain, replace, refill. I don't know if he feels like he can charge more based on the car's make or that BMW owners are used to paying more. The math just doesn't add up. I've been going here for more than 5 years for oil and transmission fluid changes and tire rotations. Good price, friendly, fast, and they get the job done. What else can you say? I have to reply to Kyle's review... Seriously Kyle, do you really think that they looked at YOUR 3 YEAR OLD CAR and decided to charge you $6 more? Wow what a major scam! They saw you coming! Come on man, be real! The guy is gonna work on your car, and you're somehow surprised that he LOOKED at it? You know they have to know what car you want worked on so they know if they have the proper oil filter in stock. What do you expect them to do? Do the work blindfolded on a mystery car? And yes, there's the price on the sign by the road that says $23.99. And right under it it says plus tax and disposal fees. (I know this because I had my oil changed there today.) You have heard of "sales tax" before haven't you? Just like when you go to a restaurant or any store, there's the price on the tag and then tax is added when you check out. An oil change shop is no different. And yes, every shop in the state, if not the country charges those waste fees. That's just the way it is. Nowhere to park because of junk cars? You are aware this is a garage aren't you? And you're surprised to find broken down cars there? You can park right in front of them by the way, or right in front of the bay where they change your oil. You're right about there being no waiting room though. (There is the office with a chair but it's not a proper waiting room.) I always just sit on the chairs in front of the shop. They've always finished my car within 10-15 minutes anyway so waiting is really not a big deal. Anyway...not sure why Kyle's review got under my skin. Obviously he was looking for things to complain about...grasping for them is more accurate. Hate to see a good place get dragged down by someone who's basically just making up things to complain about. Seriously, I've been going there for 5 years to get my oil changed and tires rotated. Its a small 2 garage place. I stood outside instead of the small office. Immediately when I showed up, they took my car and 2 guys went to work immediately. 2/3 of the time they were topping off fluids / tire pressure and window washing / vacuuming (they did a great job, too). My only gripe is that the owners hands were black with grease and he didn't put on any gloves before driving my car into the garage. Although no residue was found. $40 flat rate for everything, including the oil & filter. Not bad!! And I was in and out in 10-15 minutes. "The brakes has 6 months left, the tires is good" "Your drive belt is recommended for change every 60,000 miles but if you drive short distances, it's for now. Finding a good oil change place is extremely hard. You always get the constant upsell which is annoying. Auto Champs is not like that. The main guy will tell you about service you may need, but it's very casual mentions with no pressure at all. The service gets done in like 10 minutes! I usually just wait outside the garage although it looks like there is a small office toward the front. My oil change is $30 compared to the $50-60 other places were charging for my "newer" car with special equipment. This is very much a straightforward, no frills type place which is fine with me since they seem honest. read more

I know this update comes very soon after my previous review, but I was so happy with Marcello's service, I choose to get my brakes done for both my cars here these past 3 days. My other car definitely needed a brake change from what another shop told me a month ago, so I brought it in here. Again Marcello was very honest and told me what needed to get done. He noticed a minor leak at the bore of one of my back break calipers and suggested that fixing it would prevent the pad from wearing as quickly as the others. When I had asked whether it was completely necessary and whether it would be unsafe to drive in this condition he said, it is okay as is to drive. In short, I am hoping that others will be able to come to the shop and verify the things I've said. Hard to find trustworthy mechanics such as him. read more

My new home for oil changes! Wow, this place is fast, cheap and the owner is reserved, but nice. The owner walks around with a cigar, which kinda gives the place a laid back vibe. They vacuumed the car, washed my windows, added air to tires and replenished my low fluids for no additional cost! I like these shops better than the corporate owned ones because owners can do those little extra things for you. The mechanisc advised me that I needed a little work done on my car and whenever i decided to get it done he would throw in a couple oil changes for free. I work nearby this place, and started going here for oil change regularly. It's a very convenient oil change place. They charge 31.95$ out of the door for oil change. And, that includes fluid refills, tire checks (and air refills if needed), vacuuming the front seats and quick wash of my wind/rear shield. They always finish in about 10 minutes, and usually suggested/showed me what might need to be changed/fixed in the near future. They would give quotes on those fixes if I asked, but were never pushy about it. Never really tried other stuff, I've only done oil changes here. I came in to get a quick oil change for my bf's Lexus RX300. It was quick, it was cheap, and I was out of there in 15 minutes. They topped off all the fluids, vacuumed the interior, wiped down all the windows and mirrors, and pumped up all the tires. 4.5 stars, a near perfect experience. I came by with my BMW SUV once to ask how much it was. They quoted me double the price even if I supplied my own filter and oil.... Next time my boyfriend came to get an oil change on his car, the owner (his name started with an M) told my bf that he is mehhhhhh about European cars. Got it. Have been coming to Marcelo for a few years now. Always efficient service. Having a Range Rover I am always wary of mechanics upcharging but Marcelo has been the most honest mechanic I have ever met. I 100% trust his expertise and his advice on what is worth fixing and what isn't. He's a straight shooter and will tell it to you like it is. Now as the range has aged I've "upgraded" to a Honda Accord hybrid and maintenance costs have come down dramatically. Still come here for all my oil changes and maintenance. I had to get my tires rotated. The pros were that they were really quick about it. It took them less than 10 mins. The cons were the good ol bait and switch. I think this is their thing. I saw another comment about the same problem in reviews. They told me tire rotation was 15 bucks. He asked me for 20 at the end of the job claiming I asked him to check tire pressure. Walked in, asked for an oil change, he didn't even blink or think twice and gave me a straight quote for regular vs synthetic oil change. Which I have to say was very fair and honest. He was personable and nice. He also casually gave feedback on several other things and even walked me through it. Told him my car consumes a lot of oil and he walked me through how to check the oil level on the regular basis so I never run low (which I have to admit my BF keeps showing me but I keep dozing off ). But that gesture showed me he genuinely cares and enjoys sharing his knowledge, which are incredible traits in a person. As I arrived, I noticed the sign outside said oil changes were $23.99. The side of the building said $22.99. When I stepped out of my car (shiny 2008 model) the guy in charge approached me. He looked at me, looked at my car, and told me it would be $28.99 for my car. I asked why it was $6 more than the building sign, and he seemed surprised that I asked, then blamed tax and waste fee. There is nowhere to park because the parking spaces are full of junk cars. There is no waiting room to sit in while they work on your car. Seems like a sketchy place. read more
