At a previous dealership, I had already agreed on a price and was ready to buy when they suddenly added "mandatory add-ons" that were already installed on the vehicle--things like VIN and catalytic converter etching--adding about $4,600 to the price for items I neither wanted nor needed. I walked out feeling extremely frustrated and angry. The next day, while venting to a friend, they suggested I try Galpin Mazda. I was actually planning to rent a car for another week and continue searching, but I decided to give them one last shot first. Honestly, I went in expecting the worst and was mentally prepared for another fight. Instead, the entire experience was the exact opposite. It started with the phone call. I'm pretty particular about what I want (for example, I really don't like leather-type seats), and I also didn't want a black car. The person on the phone actually took the time to go physically confirm they had exactly what I was looking for before continuing the conversation. We discussed pricing, and while their number was slightly higher than the original quote from the other dealership, they **did not have any of those "mandatory add-ons."** That made the total cost lower and far more transparent. I was even able to complete much of the paperwork over the phone with Manny Arias, the salesperson I worked with. Even so, my guard was still up because of my earlier experiences. When I arrived at the dealership, everything continued to be smooth and genuinely pleasant. I have a mobility issue, and I really appreciated how respectful the staff was. Often, people assume they're helping and immediately try to grab or touch you. At Galpin, the employee in the lot came over and **asked if he could help** rather than assuming. Anyone with a disability will appreciate that level of respect. He held the door for me and offered me a drink while I waited. Manny, the salesperson I spoke with the night before, came out with the keys and showed me the exact car we had discussed. It was **exactly what I wanted**, and most importantly, there were **no surprise dealer add-ons** attached to it. When it was time to get into the car for the test drive, he again asked how he could help rather than assuming--another big plus for me. I simply asked him to hold my crutches since they normally sit in the passenger seat. The test drive went great, and everything felt straightforward and relaxed. The finance process took a little longer due to the paperwork, but again, it was very pleasant and completely transparent. There were no surprises. I did decide to add prepaid maintenance because I tend to keep my cars for a long time and prefer having them serviced at the dealership anyway. Overall, my experience at Galpin Mazda turned what had been a frustrating car search into a genuinely positive experience. The staff was respectful, honest, and easy to work with from beginning to end. **If you're looking for a dealership that treats customers with transparency and respect, I would absolutely recommend Galpin Mazda to friends and anyone seeking a stress-free car-buying experience.**

What I appreciated most was that he took the lead in communicating directly with Classic Collision so I did not have to act as the middleman. He made the whole process feel easy and stress-free, and he made sure I would not be responsible for paying for the faulty loose door latch that came with that repair. Lester made me feel like my safety genuinely mattered to him. He took the time to make sure my car was safe to drive and that everything was handled the right way. He even took the time to ensure any recall alerts that my vehicle had were resolved same day. That level of care and professionalism is rare, and I'm very grateful for how well he treated me. I am pleased to let you know that I have found them and they underpromised and over delivered in every way. When I called I spoke to Melissa Sandoval in the service department. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and forthcoming with information. I explained my issue and gave her the codes. She told me how much the diagnostic would cost and if I had the work done there, it would be applied to the repair. She further explained that my issue was common and it would be fully covered if my mileage was under 120K. It was. They also did a full video inspection and recommended other repairs that would need to be completed with estimates. She kept me consistently in the loop with accurate updates so that I could manage my expectations with results. Melissa understands how to deliver 100% customer satisfaction! I picked up my car on a Saturday and Frances helped me at the desk. She was very pleasant and helpful. She even got the guy from the parts department to the desk so my husband could purchase brakes for my car. Again, friendly and quick service. I appreciate the honesty and integrity of the Galpin VW service and mechanics departments. VW stands behind their products. I highly recommend Galpin VW for all your needs!

I ordered an extra key fob from them in May, and they said it would take 5-7 business days. To my surprise, I got a text saying it arrived just 2 days later. I replied to the text saying I could come in the next day for them to program it, and asked if I could set up an appointment. I sent another text and again no reply. If they're not going to reply through text, why offer it as an option in the first place? So I called and set up an appointment for Thursday at 10:45 am. I work night shift and don't get home until 3 am, so getting up at 10 am is already a mission for me. I arrived, and they said it would take approximately 1.5-3 hours. I walked over to Horseless Carriage, had breakfast, and relaxed for about 2 hours. Then I walked back and waited around for another hour. Finally, I went to the service desk to ask for an update. The gentleman asked me to give him a second, then came back with another employee and asked if the key fob had been mailed to me or if my son had picked it up. One, I don't have a son. Two, they'd sent me a text saying it arrived at the dealership and to make an appointment. I have patience, but I was pretty irritated. A lot of this could've been resolved with proper communication. They could've called or texted me after an hour and said, "We've misplaced your key -- do you want to hang around a bit while we sort this out?" After two hours, they could've said, "We can't find it. We'll call you once we do, or if we need to order a new one." Instead, it took me walking up to the counter and asking questions to get anything moving. In the end, nothing got resolved, and I showed up to work late. Before I left, they told me the person handling my service had called out sick but would be in touch. I waited a week -- no one contacted me. This has been the worst service I've experienced at a VW dealership, and I've owned three VWs. I called and asked for a refund, because this level of customer service is unacceptable. Communication is key, and this dealership's ability to communicate is below average. I was considering a VW Atlas Sport, but if I do get one, I'll definitely be going to a different dealership.

Janice was a critical piece as the prior Genesis location I initially went to for all needs closed in Pasadena. Janice, followed up with me as promised and eventually warm transferred me to a salesperson- Eric F. At the Van Nuys location. Eric was patient and was responsive through text, email and phone call as I was unsure of what I wanted to do. Eric kept me abreast of the upcoming sales event (along with Janice) that they were having during Black Friday. As I didn't want to waste unnecessary time I wanted to arrive to the dealership with an idea of what I wanted to test drive. Eric made sure it all worked out. As they were very busy on a Saturday, a salesperson - Miguel assisted myself and my husband. He was also very friendly and checked in with us. Miguel handled a large percentage of the paperwork and went with us for the test drive. The actual location is currently being expanded further from what we were told so, due to the capacity my husband and I had to sit in the service area (that was closed for the day) for our time there while everyone else was in their main sales building. Understood, that they had to work with what they had. After wrapping up, we met with a very kind Finance representative named, Alex. He was thorough and a pleasure to interact with as well. Also, while waiting I have to add that Miguel offered to buy us Starbucks from the location located within a dealership where the finance area was. This was great, as it was a long day and I was getting hangry In the end, we are pleased with the 2026 GV70 and would recommend this location and staff as they are courteous and have a wide selection.

They returned it with new issues twice. And the first time they didn't fix the problem at all, just put a bandaid on it. 40~ days later, they concluded it was the same issue the local shop thought it was. Lastly, they broke my windshield. We've been trying to get reimbursed for the last month for the tinting we spent on it, but they cleverly avoid our calls and refuse to pick up the phone. The folks here are friendly and full of smiles, but it's to counterbalance the terrible service & shadiness.

As a loyal customer, I believe I should consistently receive friendly, respectful, and professional service from every employee I interact with. When I arrived for my 7:15 a.m. appointment, the first employee I encountered was Veronica at the service drive. Unfortunately, she did not greet me, smile, or acknowledge my arrival. As the first representative customers see when they pull into the dealership, I believe a friendly greeting and welcoming attitude are very important. Thankfully, my service advisor, Vazrik Masihi, completely changed my experience. He provided outstanding customer service from start to finish. He was kind, professional, friendly, and made me feel like a valued customer. I truly appreciate the excellent service he provided and wanted to recognize him for going above and beyond. Employees like Vazrik are the reason customers continue to return. Although I had an appointment scheduled for 7:15 a.m., my visit still took about 45 minutes. While the wait was reasonable, the customer service I received from Vazrik made the experience much better. Unfortunately, when my vehicle was ready, Veronica again displayed poor customer service. She handed me my paperwork, brought my car around, and walked away without saying a single word or even letting me know my vehicle was ready. I was left standing there trying to figure out that my car was waiting for me. This was disappointing and felt unprofessional. I also want to mention that I visited the dealership the previous week for a different service, and another service advisor, Matt, was very rude during that visit. Having two negative interactions in such a short period is concerning. I hope this feedback is taken as an opportunity to improve the customer experience. Veronica is often the first and last employee customers interact with, and a friendly greeting, a smile, and basic communication can make a significant difference. On the other hand, I hope Vazrik Masihi receives the recognition he deserves for providing exceptional customer service. When I bought my condo, I needed a car of my own. Galpin Lincoln had a car that caught my eye, so I set up a test drive with Keith. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed. The car was already charged and waiting in a convenient spot--no wasted time or frustrating searches like at other dealerships. Keith quickly handled the paperwork, and my brother and I were off on the test drive. I ended up buying the car, and the negotiation was straightforward. Keith was easy to work with and we landed on a fair price for the car I truly wanted. What stood out most was his honest and efficient approach. He wasn't pushy about extended warranties or add-ons; he understood I just wanted to get the car and get on with my evening. It was so refreshing to deal with a salesperson who was professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating without any of that false friendliness. The entire purchase was quick and painless. I was in and out within a couple of hours, which is unheard of for car buying! I have to add, it was already 9 o'clock at night by the time I decided to purchase the car. So that probably had a lot to do with the quick process as no one wants to work oast closing time-Everyone wants to go home for dinner! However, Keith ensured the process was smooth and respected my time. Even though I live in Seal Beach and the drive to Galpin Lincoln is significant, if there's a car there that I really wanted, like a Jeep or a Bronco, Keith Slater would be my first call. I wholeheartedly recommend working with him! And I really like the fact that I keep getting postcards from him during holidays like July 4, my birthday, Xmas....It's a nice personal touch. He may not remember me however, I remember him and would be willing to work with him again and definitely recommend him! I did not write a full five stars because I really didn't spend much time at the dealership to know whether I would recommend it, if they had a variety of choices, if they were fairly priced, etc. I'm just basically writing the sales person!
