Great helpful shop. Honest with no BS. I was considering a PPI for local Porsche in the area. I went through their website and left a message Friday night for a tentative appointment for a Monday or Tuesday PPI. Allen, Roberts son call me on Saturday and spent a solid 20 minutes speaking with me about the car I was considering. He even asked his dad a few questions. They easily could have scheduled a PPI and charged me but they recommended to me over the phone to pass on the car that I was considering. They still offered they could inspect it if I still wanted to continue with the process. My Father brought his 1975 911s Porsche here for Robert to fully rebuild his engine because this Porsche is being restorated. Payed for this to be done, Robert said it was finished, picked it up and brought it home, within days the engine was leaking oil, had loose bolts, and when we started the Porshche there was popping noises like we were at a shooting range. Brought the Porsche back to Auto Strasse and Robert and he said give me a call in a couple weeks, 16 months later, he still has the car and has not fixed it. Women please beware of this crook! would give this place a zero star. Went in for an oil change and came out with a dashboard camera broken. The owner would only take your call or give you the time of day if you come for new service but they completely ignore your calls for complaints. Not only that, after the oil change, he backed up my car in the position where I would drive out of his lot without noticing my backup dashboard camera was not working. I only noticed after I got home. The next day I came by forcing him to take a look, he blamed on rats that may have bit off chords in inside my car. I took my car to another person, they said chords are fine and the oil change may have triggered the lines that connected the dashboard camera and the unit I. the trunk of the car. Oil container is in the middle. And funny bough, the second day I came to complain, the owner Robert sure enough did not back up my car like he did the first time. He brushed me away for being a woman telling me there were rats that bit off chords. I feel that he sexually discriminate and very dishonest. For being in business this long having 77 5 stars reviews is fishy. There should be hundreds not fake 77. Women please beware!!! read more

I have been on a hunt for a local Porsche Indy shop for a while. These guys are great, honest, and reasonably priced. I needed an oil service for my Boxster S. Dealer wanted $470 plus tax and these guys were able to come in at $230. These guys are well known in the area for a reason...highly recommend! Side note, they report to Carfax so you'll be able to easily keep track of your service records when its time to sell. read more

Dealer recommended replacing both rotors and pads (both front and rear) on my 2106 Macan S. Robert quickly assessed the rotors as good. I should have came here in the first place. To make a long story short.... I just got my 996 Porsche back from another mechanic for a CE Light. They did their job it took almost a whole week for them to get back to me and I had to like hunt after them for an update on my car. $1600 bucks later..... After it was done they told me drive it around for a couple days to let the computer relearn everything. Bring it back to them and have them plug it in again to make sure i ll past smog. I did all that came back to them and didn't pass. So they told me that they need to reset the computer again and have me go for a couple more days. I can't wait that long due to having no registration on that car and it not passing smog. In the meantime my clutch went out and needed replacement as well. Anyways, I called Auto Strasse, the place I originally wanted to go to and got Robert on the phone. I asked for a quote on the clutch and that't it. After talking for a while Robert told me to come thought. It was 5.45 PM already. They close at 6pm, but he still took me in, hooked up his computer did some test runS, some minor adjustments. Next thing you know the car passes all stages of the smog check. I asked him how much I owe him. He laughed and said in his Romanian/German accent "nothing, just go get your tags tomorrow bring it in and we'll take care of your clutch". Ok, I know he is trying to get my business, but he could have just told me the quote on the clutch job and that would have been it. But he dug deeper and uncovered the current problem I have (I guess had now) hahaha. He was very knowledgeable and advised me to "NOT' get certain parts that I thought I needed for my clutch job. Which at the end after doing all the calculations will save me $1500. Sehr Sehr Gut ( german for very very good). I love it and I will take my car back to the shop this Friday. Based on that incident alone, I already know that this guy will be my main mechanic for everything Porsche. I don't want this to sound racist. But it's kinda cool that I can talk to him in German since I was born and raised in Germany and makes me feel good having a "kind of" German working on my German Car. If I could give 0 stars I would.. My father wanted a full rebuild of his engine while doing a full restoration of his 911 1975 Porsche and Robert and Auto Strasse did something completely different.. after paying him we had to Bring the car back multiple times because problems such as leaks loose bolts and stalling of the engine. Robert deceived my father who trusted this man to rebuild the engine in his classic car and absolutely did the opposite. After 2 years from dropping the car off they have yet to rebuild the engine like my father asked and the car continues to run rough with leaks after paying thousands of dollars. read more

I called & talked to Robert a few months ago about serving my 2018 Cayenne S and asked a few questions. I received straight answers and felt Robert is very honest as many reviews attest. I called to set up an appointment for oil services and set up about in about two weeks for which I understood & imagined how busy they were. When brought my car there, I was greeted friendly by Robert and staff who made me feel comfortable. I asked to check my front brakes and found the pads need replaced and chose to wait since I live away. Since Robert suggested a few restaurants in the area, I went to have lunch while waiting. When returned, Robert had a test driving to do and wanted to make sure the oil level was good. Overall, I'm happy to find Robert and Auto Strasse although I live quite away. My previous Porsche service shop in my area was very honest & reasonable but unfortunately was closed. I've been looking for a reliable & honest mechanic and am glad to find Robert & his shop. I still love my Porsche as much as I did the day I bought it brand new 20 years ago. I've always taken extremely good care of it, so it still looks and runs practically like new! But having a love affair with a 20-year-old car is not for the faint of heart - naturally things occasionally break and wear down. In 2011 I considered buying a 993 from a dealer close to Robert, and brought it to him for a pre purchase inspection. He found a few minor issues, which I had the dealer take care of. As I drove off, the clutch went all the way to the floor. Robert quickly repaired it, and I added it to the list for the dealer. I bought that car and 8 years later, it's the best of the six Porsches I've owned.
