I visited this shop on December 22, 2025, and had a terrible experience. They failed my Smog Test for a Visual Inspection - but my vehicle had no check engine light or anything like that, citing a leaking valve cover gasket and recommending a $500 fix, plus a $400 water pump replacement. The worst part was being told I'd have to pay for another smog test, with no free retest. Not even willing to work with me if I got the work done - lady behind the desk stated I can have it all done tomorrow here's the cost... I went to a different shop the same day, and my car passed with flying colors. It's a Toyota Corolla! The most reliable car out there!! It seems like they were just trying to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. Avoid this place if you want honest service. When I asked the technician to see the issue he stated they all leaked from there and was a very common problem.... what??? read more

I had my Lexus serviced at Autos International. They did a very good job. I recommend them. My car reached 100,000 miles. Based on past experience once your car is out of warranty, the cost of maintenance and repairs at the dealer sky rockets. So I called Lexus and asked for a list of what is included in the 100k service and cost. They begrudgingly rattled off a list speaking so fast I could barely keep up. Price: $1,600. A friend recommended Autos Int'l. I called and asked them for the same. John said he would look it up and call me In 5 min and he did. He explained what was Included. It was aligned to the dealer's list. Price: $850. They did the job in 1/2 day. When they aligned my tires they identified two irregularities in my new tires. Based on that I was able to get both tires replaced under warranty by the tire shop I had used. I really appreciated their identifying that as it was a safety issue. read more

I cannot say enough about Autos International. My car's battery decided to die right when I needed to get to work. I called AAA and Autos International. The executive assistant answered the phone and she was so kind. She told me they would make it work even though they were busy. AAA jumped it and I drove over. She was true to her word and got my car in ASAP. They didn't have a replacement battery but they went out of their way to try and find one. A tech went over to Toyota's service area to see if they had one. They called everyone they could think of trying to find one. Nope. They didn't give up. Everyone put their heads together and came up with a temporary fix to get me back on the road. My new battery comes in 10 days. Till then they Jerry rigged a different battery and they reset all the codes so it would work for the time being. Their prices are very reasonable. They are professional, communicate well, explain exactly what they are doing every step of the way. Their shop is clean and organized. One tech even lent me his phone charger because my phone battery was dying. I cannot recommend them enough. read more

left me with doubts. in a long list of costly maintenance they claimed my car needed was a new starter. My estimate of everything else was already in the 1,000s so I opted to wait on the starter. I later took the car to the shop at my dealer. Who after assessing the starter indicated determined that the existing starter was fine. This left me feeling very doubtful about all the other work I was told needed to be done for which I paid lots of $'s. I am also feeling doubtful about weather or not all the work and part changes were really completed. I have no evidence to dispute the integrity of their word. But the situation with the starter left me feeling doubt. Nevertheless, my car is running well; thus far. So no complaints about whatever work was done. read more

I worked with Armando and the owner. I forgot her name but she wasn't pleasant to work with. Armando kept giving me different prices for the work that needed to be done. They put a bad battery in my car that lasted only 2 months. And when I told them about it they said it had a 30 day warranty which I was not made aware of when they put it in and they said they wouldn't replace it. I won't be back. read more

I've had ALOT of experience working with Autos international and finally decided to review them.! John the owner worked with me to do many things to my 1966 Chevy Nova including a complete engine rebuild. This wasn't your regular rebuild either. It was a long project and involved MANY decisions, ordering of special custom performance parts, waiting for parts and having some patients (I was so excited during all of this and I learned a lot) John and his lead techs were definitely having fun with this project and that got me really excited.! It started a Love for classic cars for me and as funny as it sounds changed my life and perception.! I could go on and on but the bottom line is in the end I felt like I had something really special that these Master mechanics put their heart and soul into. A new passion was sparked in me. It was thrilling and exciting and the anticipation was part of the fun.! John would tell me during this project which by the way involved more than just the engine.. a lot more actually. That his goal was "A permanent tattooed smile across my face" :-) haha which ended up becoming true! He was kind, patient and professional answering my questions and dealing with my slight anxiety lol and made me feel at ease knowing I would LOVE the finished product. He took A TON of time with me explaining things and helping make my Nova what I always wanted. Now I realize some people are not doing this kind of project and maybe have a small project or are in a rush and quite possibly think the fastest and cheapest deal is the best.. I can tell you that is not always reality. Large project or not. You get what you pay for and with John and his techs they deliver the highest quality work at very fair prices. If you want cheap and fast with questionable quality or just don't care I would go for another shop. It's like asking for a hot dog at a nice steak house. Autos international is the high quality steak house For when you want something high quality. They're not Jiffy Lube or a Mickey Mouse shop. The real deal here. If you want to know that you're going to get an A+ Job on things that matter with real permanent repairs that you can count on then John and his guys are your guys.! They are genuine and honest and tell it how it is. Even the office staff especially Diane knows almost everything going on and if she doesn't she will get the answer for you.! Diane is very sweet but will be very straight forward with you which I actually appreciate.! I just want to give a big THANK YOU to these guys I will have my Nova hopefully until I'm old and gray with the work they did :-) I will include a few pictures as well. read more

Zero rating! Spouse brought in car for Nox sensor repair with code from BMW dealer. Repair took two months. Car was returned but car was not repaired as check engine light came back on. Price paid at that point was 7k. Returned car and shop said they did not repaired Nox sensor but instead performed work not asked for. Charged another 2k for Nox repair. On top of that shop did not take off the car battery nodes and allowed battery to run down which is car mechanics 101. Shop has been reported to Better Business Bureau. Client BEWARE! read more

Very overpriced, would not come again. This place is more expensive than even the dealership. They charged me over $600 on routine maintenance. When they were almost done, they wanted to tack on an additional $110 for alignment. But that's not all, they also said my battery needed to be cleaned for an additional fee. For the price, they should've done that for free. I feel like got taken advantage of. I'm not a car person, so I don't know any better until I talked to some family and friends and they told me I got ripped off. The place overall is also not very professional. The reception area is in a little cramped bungalow. They had a hard time getting my name right on the phone, even after I corrected them. When I got my invoice, it was still incorrect. On their website they advertised free shuttle service, but they ended up using my own car to drive me home. My steering wheel was grimy when I got my car back. They have some promos on their website but the receptionist wasn't even aware of it when I mentioned it. One of the new customer promo is 20% off if a competitor's quote is cheaper, and they wouldn't honor it. Very dishonest and sketchy. read more

If I could give Auto's International in Concord 20 Gold Stars, I would! I have had a really bad experiences in the past with auto mechanics/dealerships on prior vehicles, who milk you for all you are worth for unnecessary repairs and who over charge. Thus, when my 2020 vehicle died in traffic, I took extra care in researching shops in the area to get the best bang for the buck for necessary repairs. AAA recommended a few shops to me, including this one. I found that Auto's International has the lowest labor rates, with the best service I've ever had hands down for repairs. John is absolutely fantastic, broke down what was necessary for repairs, took pictures of the trouble areas and sent them over to me with quotes, answered all my questions, and was quick to respond to my questions. Plus, he was really reasonable in what he charges for repairs!!!! If you have AAA, you also qualify for additional discounts. Going to a mechanic is like going to the dentist. You know it's going to hurt! LOL! But now that I have found a mechanic I truly trust with my vehicle, making the experience much less painful. Thank you Auto's International for AMAZING Service!!! However, my experience with John the owner, albeit short, was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. The lack of transparency in this place was horrendous. When I was talking with the technician, John cut him off and basically told him to shut up and said that they don't know anything about the repairs. I was asking very generic stuff about the car since I am not a car guy and wanted further elaboration, but he still insisted that they did not know anything. Isn't he supposed to be a very experienced tech?? I honestly felt a sense of hostility from John for no apparent reason. Unfortunately, the guarding of information and deceptive business practices at this shop is scum level. Had to get my Ac fixed in my 2014 Chevy Silverado. After trying to work with a dealership and getting told i would be put on a waiting list for the part i came over to Autos International. John (the owner) was extremely helpful and full of knowledge. He had my truck diagnosed and through his connections was able to get my part ordered same day and shipped overnight. He was very thorough in explaining a step by step process and made sure i was comfortable with price (which was extremely reasonable and cheaper than the dealership) and repair. Being in a customer service industry myself its always reassuring to find trustworthy as well as educated companies to utilize. I had my truck in and out within two days. My husband and I both had to unexpectedly take our cars there. I drive a 1997 Nissan Sentra, and he drives a 1995 Ford Ranger. We both had full confidence in their assessments and service. They are friendly and patient. They take time to answer all of your questions and even offer extra helpful information and suggestions. In no way did we feel swindled, or did anything they did seem dishonest. I decided to stay in the front office while my car was being worked on, and I swear, every customer that came in there seemed like an old family friend. The staff interacted so well with each other. They really did seem like a family - even when no customers were there watching. It was a delight to be there! Strange! But back to the customers. It was clear to me that they have very loyal customers, and that the people there invest in making sure that their customers are happy and satisfied. They were talking about each other's families and jobs...It was great. I won't say that I can't wait until my car needs more service, but I will say that I won't be terrified, and I will enjoy interacting with the lovely people that work there. read more

Great shop! I have spoken with John (owner) quite a few times, always extremely helpful! Brakes blew out, had NO brakes, I was able to get it in, within the day they had me going again safely @ extremely reasonable investment. Routine maintenance - GREAT! Oil Changes - good prices & they use the good stuff, excellent for me, I am tereable at getting my oil changed so anything that will help is good. Never feel upsold here, have even been talked out of tires that don't need to be changed! I have watched John stop what he was doing for a little old lady fix a little hose and get her on her way as a curtosey. read more

Few times do I get my car repaired and walk out feeling actually happy with what left my wallet. The receptionist is amazing, name (yelp is weird with names) starts with D ends with ianne very nice lady. I got my tires replaced here. Very fast and professional at an extremely low price. AAA members get discounts here but I got discounted further. Every staff member I encountered was pleasant and engaged me in conversation. This is a trust worthy, old school, well established business whos reputation speaks for itself. They're just plain old fair. Now *that* is stereotypically a hard trait to find in the auto business. I got great recommendations, they didn't try to gouge me on the price, in fact it was discounted AND they did a great job of helping me pick the exact tires I need for how I drive. Great people. We were passing through Concord when our '96 motorhome started badly acting up on the 680 freeway. It wasn't immediately clear what was wrong. The vehicle is built on a Chevy truck chassis. We barely made it to the Concord Chevy dealer before it died. The dealer wouldn't even look at it. We called AAA and they recommended Autos International and towed us there, only a couple blocks away. Diane was super knowledgable and helpful. Even though they were super busy, Robert and the other mechanics really tried to get us back on the road so we could make the NASCAR race weekend in Sonoma. Unfortunately the alternator was shot so they ordered a replacement. We stayed overnight in a hotel and they had us up and running again by Noon the next day. We made the race and our group outing in good form. It's clear that the fine people in this shop really care about their customers. They do excellent work and at very fair prices. John and his guys are great! Have a 1997 Ford Thunderbird 4.6 with a oil leak. For a couple of years I had to keep adding half a quart of oil every 1,000 miles. Kept seeing oil drips on the oil pan bolt heads. I finally decided I needed a oil pan gasket, and took the car to John. A couple days later, he told me it wasn't the oil pan gasket, but the oil filter adapter gasket that was leaking. I had not though of that. He replaced the gasket, and the loss of oil has stopped! Best part is NO MORE ADDING OIL EVERY 1,000 MILES! Thanks for solving the problem guys! read more

I took my car to them because it was idling rough and stalling out. They had it for a few day and told me it also needed a bolt for the motor mount. I went and bought the bolt and brought it to them, they never mentioned how much it cost for them to put the bolt in. After picking up the car they charged me for the putting a new bolt on, and adding antifreeze. I didnt even authroize the antifreeze and was told it "only needed a little bit"..yet this "little bit" costs 7.00. After getting the car is till ran like crap. I then took the car to the dealer, and I was shocked ot see that their diag fee was cheaper then this small mom and pop shop. In the end they told me the adjustments the shop made were not the proper way to fix it, informed me the part it needed which I had them replaced and it ran like new. Definatly do not recommend this company. I had to fight with them to get part of my money back since they did a half assed repair job. If you do take your car there VERIFY what they are charging you for prior to signing it they tried to pull the "you signed off" authorizing charges even though they did not go over it. read more

Should have just followed the reviews on here and not wasted my time calling, but I did anyway to get a quote for an engine swap in which I provide the engine- $2,900+!!! BTW, that's $300 more than the quote they gave me yesterday when I thought perhaps they didn't understand that I am providing the engine. I called another shop with 25+ yrs. experience that specializes in Japanese cars (this is a '98 Corolla mind you) and with complete swap out: $1,500. Just goes top show not everyone is in business for 30 yrs. because they're good business people and honest. Save your time- first call I made saved me $1500. I'm even going to call the shop that recommended them and let them know what happened and how it made me question their integrity since they recommended these rip-off egotistical clowns. read more

We took our 1977 Dodge van to this shop.Gary charged in excess of $1400.00 and charged for an oil change and didn't perform the work and inflated parts&labor to maximize his profits.Also,installed used battery when I paid for new.This is one shop I would never trust again. Big upsell,went in for a brake job,left paying over $600. they wanted to do the back brakes also which were ok and they wanted to replace the battery (over $200.) which was ok also,which I said no.They said the oil had only 1 qt in it,they said when the oil gets old that it burns up, I never burned oil or had a leak before,I took the old rotors home and checked them out and they looked ok, I wouldn't have mined if they charged me $59. apice like autozone does.
