This review is for my visit and experience - yours may be different. Two days ago, my "check engine" light came on. Yesterday my best friend from "across the pond" checked it out. It was a lean condition. Internet search turned up several possible causes - but I was certain it was the PVC valve. The on manager on duty informed me I was already registered in their special rewards. The manager on duty took expert care of me. However, neither he or I could find the location for the PVC valve. No worries, a mobile mechanic named Gabriel was around. He did find the part hidden behind the engine, perched against the firewall. It required removing several parts and the engine cover to reach it. The old one was shot - the wost one I have ever encountered, abnd PVC valves began being used here in the USA since 1965. However the replacement was slightly different - not much, just enough to make it impossible to get the new one fit onto the hard plastic junction. Gabriel massaged the new part and made it fit. In addition he discovered another vacuum hose to be disconnected. I was certain to give Gabriel a generous tip and drove off happy. I need to remember to spend at least $20 to earn another reward point. Only three more to go and I get a $20 discount on my bill. Now the repair took long ought to switch shifts and managers. I feel certain the second shift manager is incapable of earning a five star review. Like I said your experience may be different. read more

Came in just now because we were having battery problems. We swapped the battery but it was still not working. The employee was extremely helpful, but we could not figure out why it was not working. The store manager came out to assist and was so patient and kind. He was not giving up. Ultimately he figured out what the problem was. I could not remember his name but I believe it started with an I. Excellent customer service! You can tell the store manager really cares about this company. Thank you! read more

NATHAN took this from a 5 star review to 1 stars! 5 stars for the super sweet worker who helped me with my car battery initially! He lent me a wrench to undo the screws.. needed a smaller size for the bottom and when I went back in to ask for it, the OTHER worker NATHAN says "sorry I can't give it to you were not supposed to" I kindly said well I'm halfway done, please I just need a flathead to loosen the corrosive .. and to unscrew the bottom. He was like "yeah well I'm not going to. We're not supposed to." Again I'm a woman.. in a parking lot with a dead battery. In the past I've even had workers come out and help me themselves so this guy was just being a dick. He was also being rude to another man in a wheelchair so I went out of my way to write this and say that Nathan sucks ! Would have been an amazing experience considering the first guy was so nice and understanding. Congrats to the other moron for ruining my already shitty day. Cause you know, having your car battery die unexpectedly is already an unpleasant experience.. just what you need is your autozone dude to put a cherry on top a crap cake. read more

Came to bring my dead battery to get it recharged. They said that it'll take 2 hours. Came back 2 hours later and put it into the car and it was still dead. Ended up taking it elsewhere to see if the battery is bad and they showed me it's a good battery. So I believe these idiots either forgot, were too lazy, or wanted me to believe the illusion that it was an actual bad battery and get me to spend $$$ for a brand new one. The fact I'm not the only woman that experienced this is terrible. I truly dispise when people leave shitty reviews because they're bored but my experience here was just terrible! It happened on Aug.3rd and I'm still so thrown off by that experience. I already didn't want to go in because I everytime I come into an auto place im uncomfortable. So I ordered a SINGLE item online that said it was in stock at this particular store. I just wanted to pick it up and go. So I go into the store and there's a couple people getting help. There are NO indications on where you need to stand in line so i stood where I could be seen and where I thought I'd be help. There was another black women in front of me so I felt okay im not the only one. This man walks in, he sees the both of us standing there and the guy behind the counter then helps this man after we had been standing there for about 5 minutes at that point. She said you didn't see me standing here!? And he got all weird and flustered and then he helped her just to NOT help her and she had to call her DAD!!! She was furious on the phone So i went outside furious because I was next in line and if he helped someone over me I would've been pissed. My friend who is a male had to come in and talk to for me because at that point I was way past talking. Come to find out my pump wasn't there (after I waited at least 2 hours to pick it up) and when my friend asked if they could pick it up from a different store he said no. He tried to be funny and hit us with the nice HAVE A NICE DAY like I made him feel invisible in a store I ALREADY PAID FOR THE PRODUCT. Like I'm the one who looked two people dead in the face after we had been waiting there and helping a MAN WHO KNOWS WHAT HES DOING!? I talked to the manager the next day and she was very helpful and sympathetic. I had no reason to write a review until I went int the next day to pick it up.. I told her that I needed VHT Engine Enamel and gave her a part number of SP134 for Ford Light Blue... It was the closest color to Crusader Blue.... The gal put me on hold.... after 90 minutes... I needed to buy an OBD2 scanner (don't. You can get a scanner off Amazon for 12 bucks that will work off your phone) that would read the protocol for the computer on a Dodge. For those not in the know, there are about 5 different protocols among the major dealers. Anyways, after calling and asking about a code reader for my dodge, I was transferred to someone so they can upsell me on a universal reader that was 15 times what I paid on Amazon. Ive been an autozone rewards member for plenty of years and have never encountered a staff this unwilling to help someone out. Had a dead battery.. asked to use a jump box or cables and they went from saying they dont have any, to they cant let me borrow them so i bought a set.. didnt end up needing it bcuz the car started so i went to return them 15 minutes later.. they didnt give me a reciept in the first place, and the guy clearly lied and said he did to the manager. Manager was giving me a hard time and wanted to give me store credit. They messed up and didnt give me a reciept and were unwilling to help me out. I was thirty minutes late to work the other day. I'm NEVER late to work! My car battery died and it took me forever to find a good samaritan to jump me. To make a long story short, after work I hit up this LB AutoZone. Jesse, one of the awesome guys working that evening tested my battery, found out it was shot, helped me remove it, grabbed me a new one from the back and helped me install it. I was in and out within 20 minutes or so. I paid about $100 bucks for my new battery, which also included a 7 year warranty. I have been to a few AutoZones in my time. Some where good, some were bad. Problem: My car has a lazy eye (ie one of my headlight bulb was out) Solution: AutoZone! I walked in and was greeted right away. I told the counter guy what I needed and he found me the correct part. Even told me exactly how to install it. I replaced my light bulb and my car had 20/20 again! It took less than 10 mins and only costed me the bulb. Had to get a new battery, got it tested and it was on its way out so I purchased the new one. They let me borrow the necessary tools, and a few minutes later....boom new battery. Unfortunately, whatever aftermarket alarm was installed on my car was enabled (I had no idea it existed) and I could neither turn on the car nor stop the absolutely deafening alarm! Autozone employee to the rescue. Ken stepped out and helped me cut the wires to the alarm, then after he clocked out came out to the parking lot and helped me go under the hood to bypass the module blocking the ignition so I could drive my car off the parking lot. It took over and hour and he was totally patient and helpful. I know it's not in the job description, hell he even helped me on his own time, but it was a great service experience. I drive a newer Audi A6 3.0 quattro. The battery was dead, no juice. It was 4 years old. My car wouldn't start, had to be jumped. I drove to Autozone on Anaheim in Long Beach to get a new battery. Ulysses, one of the customer service people there, was truly amazing. Very polite, professional and friendly. Extremely knowledgeable, and had my new battery installed in just minutes. The customer service at this location is HORRIBLE & UNPROFESSIONAL. The associate MARIBEL GALLEGOS is rude and condescending. I purchased a battery at online per instruction since they didn't have the battery in stock in August which was the item recommended by this associate. Now, my car started having electrical problems and according to the dealership it's because this battery is too small for my vehicle. Due to the fact that this purchase was under warranty, I returned to their store and advised her of my situation. She stated she wasn't the one who made the sale and that she would never make such suggestion to me. I told her but you did and now my car is messing up. During our conversation , she was making smart remarks and grammatically trying to correct me as I was speaking. Not only did she not admit that she had made a mistake but was also very unprofessional while making the exchange. Just went in today for a simple license plate cover. Parking lot is a little small but I was only vehicle there so no problem. I walked in and it came off a tad small. One female employee was busy on the phone while a younger Hispanic employee quickly asked if he could help me find something. I just happened to see what I was looking for as he spoke. They have plenty of items, store is clean, and staff friendly. I got the last item of the one I wanted and paid a great price for it.
