Made a quick stop to get new wiper blades for my mom's car. I've been telling her for a while now. When it rains or when the morning dew is on the windshield, it streaks, and the visibility is blurry in some areas. So, I went myself. Wasn't sure what to get, so I goggled the sizes, and when I went to the register, they were able to confirm it was correct. Yay! David helped me out. He was polite, knowledgeable, and helpful in setting me up with the right stuff. He also changed them for me (which he had to get pliers for because the other one was SO old it stuck!) and topped off my wiper fluid, which was apparently "bone dry" - hahaha. Oooooo mom, tsk tsk! Dodger, Mattie, and Randy were awesome! I had two bad batteries on my diesel truck. They were under warranty but the diesel shop had bought them during a repair so I didn't have the purchase receipt and warranty information. I had a wonderful experience while visiting town from Atlanta. I knew my left headlight was out but drove mostly in the day. Jacksonville was ok overall but very tense since the campaign was nearing so Trump people made me feel uncomfortable. I wasn't trying to be out. I looked up the lights I needed & all watched YouTube. Excellent staff very knowledgable gentlemen I've been in twice so far mainly for high temp paint. I always like the input of others when I shop for something that takes a bit of commitment when tackle a project. First visit was for caliper paint while I didn't get the name of the guy helping me he did set me up with some good brake cleaner and caliper paint that did well. The Red calipers give my Jetta a nice and sporty look. My second visit my project was to paint my exhaust and picked up some black high temp engine paint project came out superb will be attaching a photo to show the results. It was raining and my windshield wipers were squeaking. So my fiancé and I ducked in to get some new blades. It was 15 minutes before close, but Jeff and Mike had us in and out with the upmost professionalism and recommendation for wipers for my car. They were courteous and worked well together; While one was checking us out at the register, the other snagged the blades and installed them for us(IN THE RAIN!) before we could even get out of the door! I asked a couple of these fine gentlemen (Asheton, some other older shorter guy) to assist me in installing a headlight. It was drizzling and a little late at night. I offered to pull the car into a dry area and compensate them with a tip. It was either ask for assistance or further risk getting pulled over, ticketed, etc. Figured I would ask them as they are auto parts professionals. Five minutes, 10 bucks, it's a deal I'd take anyway. I received a mumble response, "yeah man, sorry we can't help man, trying to shut everything down, sorry man" derp derp derp. These guys tried to get me to pay for a mechanic to come to the store and work on my alternator because they said the battery wasn't charging correctly. I was driving from FL to NC and didn't want to get stuck on the side of I-95. One call to male friend who I put on speaker phone who knows about cars was all it took to call them on their bullshit. I was on my way without getting scammed and got to NC and back to FL with no issues. Obviously the employees and this mechanic and getting kick backs from scamming customers. BEWARE! read more
