Overall this location has been okay. But recently 1) The security guard had me leave my bag at the front of the store -- and I am ok with that. But then he went toward to rear of the store and zoned out on his phone --- leaving my bag vulnerable to anyone near the front door. 2) I have a never-used battery. Purchased within the 90-day return period. I tried to return it, with receipt. They said that because I had had it over 30 days, I had to return it to the location from which I had originally bought it. Which is a very inconvenient bus ride away. I've never had a store make me go back to the original location -- in the same city, yet. The Autozone in The Laurel seems to be more professional. read more

The Hispanic female store manager has a nasty unprofessional attitude. She was mad because she was trying to flirt with my husband and he was not interested in her small talk so she took like 30 minutes to give him a refund on a brand new item with the receipt. Mind you he has my 2 year old boy with him that was getting fussy and she mad it very difficult for him to just get his refund and go!!! She should be fired for being so rude and unprofessional. Wow! Customer service with a Five-Star attitude. I usually buy all my renewable auto parts here that I do not get from my Honda dealer. This AutoZone is always busy. That means they usually know exactly what they need to know to sell you the correct part. The other good news is they always work hard to provide great service. There is something admirable about an AutoZone that goes the extra mile. I bought their Gold 3 year battery 2 years ago. As fate would have it, 2 years in and my battery was just not holding a charge. So I popped by the AutoZone remembering that I had paid the extra money for a gold house branded battery. Their Gold battery offers free charge and free replacement!! Bonus!! I stopped by to see if the manager could just make sure the battery is fully charged, so I can get to my job interview the next day. This is where the Five-Star service kicks in. Ivan the manager has me turn off my car and offers me tools as long as I give up my charge card or a license. I opt for the license. Though to be fair my cards are pretty limited out at this point. Of course so now the charger doesn't work! Boooo. I am now stuck there. At first the manager was suggesting I come back at 6:00 tomorrow for the new battery. Dude, I cannot miss my interview tomorrow and live in the parking lot. I am a single female.. big nope. The manager realizes they don't have a battery that fits my car. Uh oh! I look around while the manager furiously calls the other AutoZones who do, but they cannot deliver. This is where we realize they do have a 2 year battery that fits my car! Whew, saved 15 minutes before they close. Few managers would have worked the phones and called the other stores. Not this AutoZone. One new replacement battery coming up! Ivan was grace under pressure. I put the new 2 year battery into my car, and Vroooomm, it started right up!! I made it to the interview the next day, and promised to write a Yelp review. This was all done in an AutoZone with 20 customers all clambering for attention. The manager Ivan and the salesperson both handled the large line and another battery warranty service minutes before closing. If that isn't Five-Star-Service, then I don"t know what service is. Go to this AutoZone! They know their business, and they will go the extra mile, even when the store is full of last-minute-shoppers!!! Shoutout to Gabe P!!! I pulled up to Autozone with my car battery completely dead!!! I had already gone to Orielly and they told me they couldn't change the battery right away but if I bought it from them the next day they could however I NEEDED IT TONIGHT!!! The first time I went in I was told that they couldn't change it until the following day by Diego, went back to my car and it wouldn't start!!! So I went back in and asked if they had the machine to jump the cars and was told someone rented it and never returned it so I told them I would just buy the battery and change it myself. Gabe said that he didn't have a problem with changing my battery as long as I bought it from AutoZone. NO PROBLEM!!! I bought the battery and he swapped it out right there for me!!! SHOUT OUT TO HIM!!! I was even able to get the core charge reimbursed!!! Kudos to Gabe P and thumps down to Diego!!! His customer service wasn't bad he was just being lazy!!! It took Gabe 5 mins to change the battery and Diego said it would take longer!!! I often think they are just dealing with alot of different personalities, But now I know its simply poor training and even worst customer service. One occasion they where only letting one customer into the store at a time. The most recent visit they couldn't answer basic questions about pricing on motor/engine oil and filter combinations. Staff are helpful and friendly; however, they have a security guard who is the exception. He followed me the entire time I was in the store making me feel very uncomfortable. I understand his job is to prevent theft, but you cannot treat customers like thieves. He needs to learn how to be subtle in doing his job. read more

Bad experiences every time I try to buy someting here, customer service is bad (the worst I would say), they never take my used oil even when I bring the recipt for the oil I bought from them. If you try to return one of their cheap defective parts the dont offer you something better, they just make the bad boys face and send you to the cashier to return your money and take your bussines else where. When the offer one year warranty on their products is because that's the maximum life on them. People that works there don't have enough knowledge as far is parts names or engine sizes, if you are looking for oil filters the won't move from the desk just tell you part numbers and wish you luck. My car leaked all of the coolant out and so I'm stuck here. I came to AutoZone to get the correct fluid and was told that the have it here in back but that have to wait until they stock it before I can get it. No one here would take the time to go in back to even try and find it for me. Meanwhile i am missing my dental appointment wandering around waiting for someone to just come across the fluid I need and put it on the shelf so I can buy it and get back to my day. I used to work retail and when I came across a situation where a customer was looking for something that I knew I had, I would do everything in my power to get the customer what he wanted and out the door as quick and easy as I possibly could. This is the most disgusting unprofessional auto zone I've been to in my entire life. Staff members are rude and are lazy and unethical. They need to fire angelica the store manager because she became really hostile when asked about their reimbursement policy. I came in with a battery. Staff took it and told me they would be back with me in a few days. Ive been calling sporadically just to check the progress of them recharging my battery and today when i called they stated they got rid of it. I asked angelica what can i do about the matter because I'm out of the money i spent for the battery and also now the battery was given away. I should have at least been notified of the policy the day i took it to them.
