Cal/Kyle needs to work on his customer service. I called to ask what a code meant (which they generally would tell me if I pulled up) and he tells me the way I can find out is by looking online. Don't be so persnickety. If I'm calling, obviously I don't understand what I'm reading because it's not in layman's terms. I usually go to Autozone for any general car maintenance, but I'm especially glad I went to the Carrollton location while I was in the area. The AutoZone employee helped me test my battery and alternator (turned out I needed a new battery) and he also helped me find replacement bulbs for my brake lights. He also looked up my warranty just in case I could get a free battery (no luck, I was two years past the replacement period). I expected to take my battery and bulbs home to install them myself, but the Autozone employee replaced BOTH within 15 minutes..FOR FREE. Awesome. He was a really cool guy and I'm a big believer in tipping when you get good service so I gave him a $20. He tried to refuse it, but gave in. I mean I could have replaced it on my own, but he did it faster than I would have. Totally worth the tip for the convenience and superb customer service. Also, when you buy a new battery, you have three years of free replacement coverage. Which means you could bring in your battery on the third year and get a new one. :) read more

This is a pretty good location. Its usually never busy during the week. On the weekends it's a different story so you better know what you need because there may be a wait to get a rep who is not busy helping someone else. I know what I want, I go in, I find it, I check out, I leave. Get those reward points, especially if you're replacing something you will bring back the used part to get your core fee. Do not call or go here for your auto parts needs. Either go to an Oreilly's or to the new Autozone Hub Store on Marsh Lane and Trinity Mills. This place never answers calls, they are ill equipped with unknowledgeable staff, and hardly ever have anything in stock. Safe yourself the time and money, don't come here. They may as well close it if they don't hire motivated staff soon. read more

The guy tried to sell me an 8 year gold battery when I asked for a three year car battery. When I asked again, he persisted in telling me I needed the more expensive car battery. When i asked a third time, he went into sales pitch. finally I said, I saw you scroll right past the battery I wanted which costs 65 dollars instead of 108 plus warranty you're trying to push. I do not need an 8 year battery. You have not listened to my requests and you can now go F*ck yourself, I will never shop here again. And I left. And I will never, ever, ever go back. I guess the people that work at this particular Auto Zone think girls are dumb about cars but this particular girl is not and wasn't about to be pushed into an 8 year car battery when I only plan to have the car for two more years. I went to Sears, sure I paid a little more, but they didn't lie to me or push me into anything and rotated my tires for free so it evens out overall. read more

I called the store to inquire about a bearing. The bearing is automotive but also works for a supercharger . The part is a 38ss, which I called and was told they didn't carry it. I gave " Oscar ", the correct part number and still said no. I drove to the store as I had a itch that I was being lied too. When I arrived, i indicated to him the same part number. Oscar indicated that I didn't speak clearly. Long story short they did carry the bearing and it was not in stock. Either he was having a bad day, or either lack of poor training of management in customer service. You can't in a aggressive manner toward your customers. Apologize and indicate it was a misunderstanding, and move forward. I don't plan on every shopping with them in the future. read more

Before we were married, the wife lived in Carrollton, near this Autozone and if her car ever needed repair, this is the store I'd visit for parts. Just recently, I needed an oxygen sensor and the stores near my house in Richardson couldn't get me the part I needed - they use a different supply hub. I was able to find out that the hub this store uses had the oxygen sensor and could get it for me within a couple hours, plus they price matched a competitor's price. It doesn't get any better than that. Service is actually pretty good here. Bought a throttle body from this store & after installing it my truck was running extremely high rpm. I did everything to recode it nothing worked. I took it off & exchanged it. This one was doing the same so I got a full refund & went to O'Riley bought one from them & now it's working fine. Don't buy Mexico products. read more

I was at your store today around 1:30 the clerk that helped me and my friend was just giving information that knew was not truthful concerning the battery he just seem to throw whatever came to mind he also said it was the alternator which he never test it, so we left and went to Midas on belt line rd. right up the street always great customer service less the 10 min. we were told it was the battery my friend left the with a running car reminder customer service is the heart of the company I have 42 years experience in it. read more

You need help getting a part for your car. I don't need the associates attitude as well. I get it it's early and you don't want to be there but it's your job to look up what I need for my car, don't give me attitude. The associate was on her phone most of the time. Great service and great staff. I understand the review about how the location is iffy. It's in a run down part of Carrollton that I personally would not endorse, but I remember this autozone was here. I've been here with my father. Now, I come in need when I live on my own. Always helpful, always attentive. Despite that this Autozone is located in a somewhat ghetto-fied parking lot surrounded by Mex and Asian eateries, I come here when I need fix my truck. this store needs more employees because there is only two of them. they have a lot of stuff for your car here. i bought some liquid that removes stickers from cars and it didn't work. i followed the direction and it still didn't work. i also bought a gadget that removes small dents on cars and it didn't work. i don't think i can return it because i opened it. read more
