Have always got tire service done at Discount tire for the past 5 years. Never had them air my tires once. Was driving home when I noticed my pressure was at 16 PSI in my front drivers side tire, so decided to stop by. I consistently asked if there was anything wrong with the tire, they said no & that they checked it. They air up all of my tires & I'm on my way. 10 miles later when I'm on a residential road going 40 mph and I switch lanes, the entire tire explodes. I brought it back 2 days later (they're closed on Sunday) and they said they can't replace it under warranty & that they had nothing to do with it. While I can recommend other Discount Tire locations, I unfortunately cannot recommend this one. read more

Earlier this week, I called Discount Tire in Carrollton and was told that an alignment service would take approximately 10 minutes per vehicle. Based on that information, I arrived today at 2:20 PM and was the first person in line. At that time, there was only one employee working at the front desk, and I waited about 20 minutes before being assisted. When another employee became available and I explained I was there for an alignment, I was informed that the wait time would be between 1 hour and 1 hour and 45 minutes, as there were reportedly three vehicles ahead of me. This was different from the information I had received over the phone earlier in the week. At 2:38 PM, I also received a text indicating that my arrival window was 3:00-3:20 PM, which was confusing since I had already arrived well before that time. Due to the lack of clarity regarding wait times, I chose to seek service elsewhere. I contacted NTB in Carrollton, where I received prompt service, and with a coupon my alignment cost $84.99, which was also more affordable. If I gotta have my tires replaced on my whip due to the road hazards out here in the state of Texas. I definitely recommend Discount Tires regardless of What state I've lived in my experiences have ALWAYS been nothing other than satisfaction!! I didn't get up early this morning and I thought I'd be looking at 3 hours at least on a Monday morning to get my Tire serviced. Nope, I was wrong. I walked in, waited maybe a minute or two for Moris to walk back from outside assisting another customer. As soon as he approached the service counter he greeted me, asked me, What can we do for you today? I let him know I must've run over something this past weekend on the highways or service roads and I needed a new tire. I also inquired about the Road Sweepers. I rarely see them here in Texas. Do they actually EXIST?? He laughed, then said there around sometimes. I also asked, Is the DOT connected to the Tire Company's network? This way, they can see How many road hazards they are causing customers to either buy new tires or use spares until they're able to purchase new ones. I'm Thankful that I have sense GOD gave a Billygoat. Cause I'd be around here every few months spending $200 + on tires. I inquired about road hazard insurance for my four tires maybe a year ago. I've had insurance on a few of my rides before but in THE LONE STAR it's a REQUIREMENT!! I've resided here almost 5 years and have had my tires patched or replaced at least 20 times or more. You can't tell me that this isn't a MONEY GRAB STATE. Having a bare minimum of road sweepers in a state so big is mind blowing but the Guns, and Money supersede the health and safety concerns for many. Just my thoughts on the system. It took around 45 minutes to get my car tire replaced. I've been a customer for years and am always impressed with this Discount Tire's integrity. As a woman I do feel vulnerable in any car repair shop. (I am aware that I can educate myself so that I'm less at their mercy!) Discount Tires has never tried to oversell me or push an unnecessary sale. Recently I brought my vehicle there to have a nail removed. Pedro was polite and professional. He did recommend new tires but since I'm getting ready to sell the car, he had the nail removed promptly and efficiently. I made an appointment online. I arrived slightly early but had to wait just to check in. I purchased tires and waited for them to be installed. Then an employee came in to inform me they had broken a lug bolt on the left rear wheel. Then the manager came in to also inform me the lug bolt had broke and that another lug bolt had an issue. I wasn't able to understand what he was saying because he seemed extremely agitated. I asked him to repeat what he said and then he abruptly said," just come look at it. It will be easier than trying to explain." His language and demeanor was agitated and rude. I went with the manager to the shop to look at the wheel. One of the lugs was broken. He then pointed out that another lug had some rust and the threads seemed damaged. He then said in a very rude tone, " Did you know that you were missing a lug bolt?" I informed him that it wasn't my car. Also I told him if the lug bolt is missing it was because of their service. That shop installed the previous tires and my wife only goes to that shop for service. The broken lug bolt and the missing lug nut were because of their service pour service of that shop. So it was even more inappropriate for the manager to act aggressive and condescending towards me. The online service tracker indicated that the service had been completed 30 minutes or more before they were actually finished. That is deceptive. Then I was sent to another automotive shop to have the lug bolt repaired. That cost me the entire afternoon even though the problem had been created by that Discount Tire. I don't demand perfection but I don't like to pay for rude behavior. I suggest a new manager there. read more

Discount tire rep lied and attempted to sell me thousands in un-needed tires. This review is against the discount tire located on 3408 E Trinity Mills Road in Carrollton Texas. I had an appointment for Saturday morning and arrived about 15 minutes early. The representative meets me in the driveway and begins walking around to each Tire doing his cursory inspection. These tires had road hazard warranty on them and I brought them in every 5000 miles for service of rotate and balance. These 45k mile tires have 29,000 miles on them and are only serviced by Discount tire. The guy walked around, then came up to me and said that I would need to replace all four tires because the front had 1/32 of tread and the back two were 3/32 and 4/32 seconds respectively. I declined stating 1/32 is bald, and obviously none of the tires on the car were bald to which he said it's the inside tread. I turned the wheel and he could not show me where it was bald. Again I declined service and then he informed me that they would not be able to do anything to my car because all of my tires were in the red zone. He did offer to sell me a brand new set, and when I declined, he offered me a credit application, which I additionally declined. He then informed me that it was unsafe to leave with my car in that condition. I left. I went to my old tire near my old address (that I've known prior to discount tire for other cars for more than 10 years), I explained that I needed a tire rotation and balance. I told them discount tire informed me my tires were unsafe and I wanted to get a second opinion. The second shop informed me that there was nothing wrong with my tires, then they took me out to my car with the tire gauge and showed me the depth of each tread across the entire tread showing 5/32 of tread life remaining, on all four tires. They did the work and I went home satisfied. I'd given discount tire a second chance after some bad experiences years ago, however, after today, I won't be coming back, and I will be sharing this experience with any and everyone that will listen to it. It's absolutely sickening that a technician would attempt to take advantage of me in this way, I can only imagine what would happen to someone who wasn't as savvy about their tires as I am. I do a lot of research and I do my maintenance by the book, I will not be taken advantage of to the tune of thousands of dollars for some guy itching to make a sales quota. read more

I went here looking for a pair of discount tires and experienced all but discounted service from a gentleman named Cliff. Cliff was very thorough with the details of the caliber of tire options. He wasn't very "salesy" and didn't want to twist my arm up-sale me. I appreciated this and a saw that he was genuinely interested in my best wellbeing as he found a tire in my budget that was also a great performing tire at an exceptional value! We had good talks about us both being anglers and having a love for the outdoors. This seamlesss process made the rainy day not so bad! I originally wanted a certain tire size but when Luke was entering it in the system the system told him the size was not compatible with my car. He went and did all the research to see what exact tires would fit and showed me the difference between the two. I ended up liking the new tires even better. I have used Discount Tire personally and through our business for many, many years. They are THE best! This is the location used most but have relied upon them all over Texas and never been disappointed. On one occasion, I was caught out of town with a huge trailer issue, these guys stuck with me until it was solved and it was an hour after closing AND... it was a SATURDAY!!! Max at the trinity mills location was a huge help and came in clutch when another location failed to go distance and help me find what i was looking for. He sent me to the josey ln location to pick up some tires that apparently that store said they had, but come to find out when i arrived they didn't. Instead of actually searching for them, that store told me there weren't any "anywhere" and told me to return to Max's store to get a refund. when I arrived before i could even put the car in park, max came out and told me he talked to that store and he found my two tires at separate locations and that they're on the way. in addition he apologized on the other store's behalf. Today I needed them to check my TPMS, as my car was barking at me. Turns out, they found a screw in one of my tires! They were able to repair it, and also rotate and balance my tires.
