I went into this location on a Saturday and purchased a bundle. Part of my bundle was a cabin filter. The computer said they had three in stock. The sales person told me that they would locate it and hold it for me for pick up Sunday at 10am. He also made me go through signing up for their rewards program since I had a large purchase. He gave me the whole spiel on how it would benefit me. I returned to the store Monday at 7:11pm and handed them my receipt and told them I was there for a pick up. The guy holding my receipt did not locate it and turned to me and asked "Are you sure you're at the right store?". I held my composure and simply pointed out that the receipt he was holding not only has the store number but also the address. He went over to the manager and the manager asked when I was suppose to pick up. Slightly frustrated responded back and told him yesterday at 10am. He went into a back area and came out with the filter. Fast forward I went into another location a week later to make a purchase and they asked for my phone number. The system did not locate me. I handed the clerk my previous receipt and was told that they never entered me into the system because if they did my name would have been on the receipt. Bottom line no credit for my large purchase. They have a ordering option at a kiosk which is called key me. There was a drop down for a transponder like the one that has a sensor or a chip. It said they would send someone to program it which they did not mention is that it's an additional cost. I wish I knew or else I would of just ordered a lock smith that specialize in car keys from the start instead of waiting for a whole week. The lock smith cost $280 plus tax. The good thing is that Key Me, refunded my key since it didn't work. It was done virtually there is no phone numbers. This is not associated or has anything to do with autozone. Autozone have knowledgeable people, I got a new battery with a warranty. They let me replace the battery within a year to upgrade to an expensive one which I appreciate. When your car won't start it can cause for a stressful situation. I immediately called AutoZone to see if they could test the battery which was only a few months old. Peter T, the store manager answered my call and told me to come in. When I arrived there were several people in line ahead of me. I left my car running in the parking lot because I was afraid if I turned off the engine I wouldn't be able to get it to start again. As I tried to patiently wait for my turn, I heard everyone cracking up. I soon realized Peter was the same nice guy who I had spoken with on the phone. He was making everyone laugh which instantly put my anxiety at ease. He was able to keep the line moving while providing updates in real time. I believe they were understaffed or maybe I came at a busy time, but Peter made what is typically a stressful situation, smooth sailing and dare I say fun? His easy going attitude and deep knowledge combined with his ability to multitask made me realize I was in great hands. He tested my battery and gave me the diagnosis while keeping me and the other customers smiling the entire time. So I informed him why I was there and began to make small talk. He helped me as I explained I needed some oil and didn't know where to put it and can he help me with that? He assured me it was no problem. After my purchase we went outside, I popped the hood and he showed me where the oil went. He proceeded to pour the oil and I told him to smile more be cause we ladies need it. He then laughed and I asked his name he said Yunis. He was so kind and thoughtful and further advised me about the oil and what I needed to do next. I told him I appreciated him and asked if I could give him a tip and he refused. I contacted the manager over 3 weeks ago at the Auto Zone located at 2401 Long Beach Blvd. in Long Beach, CA regarding filing a warranty claim on a brand new engine I purchased from that store for my 2010 Lincoln MKZ. The new engine has a 36 month warranty, and it was purchased on 08/02/2016 for a cost of $3149.99, so it is clearly still under warranty. Prior to contacting Auto Zone, I was told by the local Lincoln dealership that my engine was badly leaking oil as a result of the valve cover gaskets, the upper intake gaskets and the oil pan gasket all being bad. The Auto Zone manager on duty called someone, who I assumed was with Auto Zone's warranty claim department and spoke for about 15 minutes and the manager asked me several questions that were relayed by the person on the phone. I was told by the manager that I should by expecting a call from someone from Auto Zone's warranty claim department in the next few days. Well now it has been over 3 weeks and no one who has identified themselves as being from Auto Zone has called me. I did however receive a very strange phone about a week after going into the Auto Zone to begin the warranty claim process. I receive a call from a local Long Beach number claiming they were calling from my dealership, and asking me to call a different number to speak to my service advisor. Since I had just been in the dealership a week earlier, I knew my service advisor by name and I called him back at the phone number I already had for him from my previous service visit. He said he did not call me, and when I asked him to look up the two phone numbers involved in the call that I had just received, neither phone number was in the directory of phone numbers of employees at that dealership. I would like this issue to be resolved by Auto Zone replacing the defective engine, paying any associated labor costs and honoring the warranty on the new engine that I purchased from their store located at 2401 Long Beach Blvd. in Long Beach, CA 90806. read more
