Just went to the Auto zone 2401 Long Beach blvd just for some wipers blades for the truck the cashier guy was extremely helpful but asked a coworker older man "Eduardo "to assist me putting the blades on and he had major attitude talking in Spanish., little he know the color appears black but I am Panama women he played as if he was too busy clearly he wasn't. I kindly said no problem. It's said for an employee work in predominantly African/ Black neighborhood and live but don't want to assist because of their color of their skin not even knowing their ethnicity. I live in neighborhood over 25 years and this particular Auto Zone hires attracting Hispanic young female and mens only. In all the years they may have one man of color. It is what it is. They have the basics you need for simple jobs, and even have a decent tool loaner program. I've never had to wait around much when I was ready to check out. They can and do get busy from time to time, and you almost always will have to wait some while they go in back and look for this part. I like that they have late hours, because it seems when ever something goes funky with my car it's gotta be after 8 pm. In general if you don't know what's wrong with your car or what you need to fix it, this is a bad place to go for help. Then again, it's not really how they are supposed to work. As long as you don't have off the wall parts requests or a super rare car, you'll be alright here. Remember, this is not a place to go if you have limited automotive knowledge. It's not like a burger joint where you can go in understanding the concept of hamburgers and half ass your way through an order and be satisfied. You actually have to some knowledge to shop here. Many times you'll get someone who only knows how to log into the computer, and know how to look up parts. All they might know is what the computer tells them....that may be wrong, incomplete, or not match what upgrades you've made to your ride. read more

Ok, so it's been awhile since I've taken care of my car with all the holiday hustle and bustle. My oil light lit up so I pulled over to this Autozone after work. I was happy this place was already open on a Sunday morning at 0730. The staff members here were very knowledgeable and got me the best deal they had for oil and filter. Embarrassingly, I needed to fill my tank with three quarts of oil. I've been to another Autozone to have my headlights put on so I can definitely count on this establishment for all my auto part needs. read more

I really like Autozones in general, as I'm picky with the oil I put in my car for oil changes, and they always have a pretty good selection, and sometimes some sales! So I always stop by any Autozone when I'm about to get an oil change. I've been here twice to buy oil, and it is fine - it serves its purpose. I just have had some weird interactions with the staff both times I've been here. Once, I was trying to buy full synthetic oil, and the employee was trying to tell me that conventional oil was the same. No it's not!! The manager soon corrected him. Also, I usually forget the specific type of oil I need, which is not usually a problem because they can quickly look up my make and model and tell me. This time, the employee told me that he was unable to do so (even though thats what I always do), and told me to go look under my hood and read it there. I'm not trying to be super high maintenance, because I'm definitely not! Both experiences just seemed a bit odd to me. I'll keep coming back here, because it is the closest Autozone to me, although it is not the best that I've been to. It serves it's purpose, but just know that it's in a rougher part of town and that you might have some odd customer service. No severe complaints though! read more

The rating says it all. Horrible customer service from the employees and even worst customer service from the District Manager Raul Luna, which just responded with a generic email he probably cuts and pastes to send to everyone that emails him about the poor customer service AutoZone has which is probably a lot. I ordered a Cabin Air Filter that supposedly was going to be delivered the following day by 1pm. I called the following day at around noon to see if it might have gotten there by the time I arrived at 1pm, but a female associate told me it hadn't arrived and to maybe give it till 1:15pm - 1:30pm. I arrived at around 1:15pm and I was told by one of the associates that it hadn't arrived so I was going to wait. Then the associate after a closer look at the order proceeds to tell me that the courier wouldn't be working on Thanksgiving and wouldn't be delivering anything. I was really upset and the associate didn't even apologize or try to provide an alternative solution or provide me an in-store replacement. This is really poor customer service and had I known it wouldn't be in I wouldn't have ordered it if the associates knew what they were doing. I went to NAPA Auto Parts right up the street and they had the item in stock no special order necessary, plus is was cheaper than AutoZone. I won't be shopping at AutoZone anymore and will also be advising my friends and family to do the same. Avoid this place and go to NAPA Auto Parts up the street. read more

Second time coming here was worst than the first. So I walk in today and Daisy and Obed C. Are at the counter. They greet me (barely they're both into Daisy's phone) I let them know I need my battery tested. Daisy not even looking up says to him "You go do it!" Obed C. asked "no I don't want to why me?" Then he tells me to go outside and "open" my hood. If it wasn't a new year and I wasn't trying to be a better person Daisy's big body self and Obed C.'s goofy looking self would've been put in there place about customer service. This is probably the worst location I've been to. Usually (other locations) the employees are very helpful, and have a passion for what they do,this location does not have those kind of employees. Granted, everyone wants to go home from work early, but we arrived at this location at 8:52(they close at 9) and the doors were already locked... I pulled into an AutoZone this evening because my car was running "in the red" and I was afraid it was going to overheat. I walked inside the store and asked the gentleman at the counter if anyone was available to look at my car. He apologized and said that they have a man outside (Jose M.) working on another car but that he would look at my car as soon as he was finished. I walked outside and found Jose installing a battery in another customer's car. I said, "Excuse me please, could you look at my car once your done with his?" He looked at me out of the corner of his eye and mumbled, "yeah, sure". I waited about 20 minutes for him to wrap up with the other car, then he walked up to me and asked me what the problem was. I explained that my car was running "in the red" and that I was afraid it was going to overheat. He said, "you probably need coolant". I said, "I have no idea" and he said, "pop the hood and look if you need coolant" and walked back to the other customer he was previously helping. I looked under the hood and waited for him to come back. About five minutes later he walked back with the customer's battery in his hand, looked under the hood and started to walk away. As he walked away he said, "You don't have any coolant, you need coolant" and opened the door to the store and walked inside. He let the door slam in my face; I was following behind him and was asking him what type of coolant I needed for my car when he pushed the door open and let it slam in my face. I opened the door and asked him, "where's the coolant? Do you know what type I need to buy?" and he flicked his hand sideways and said, "It's over there" and walked to the back, put the battery down, then started waiting on other customers. I have never in my life received such disrespectful, unprofessional treatment from anyone. I have no idea what Jose's problem was and it's not my job to figure it out. I like this autozone. At one point I've been here 5 times in one day with my boyfriend while he's working on cars. It seems like the reviewers with negative comments have a right to be upset so I take off a star for that. My personal experience has been decent but I almost always have my bf with me and he knows where everything is and the system so it's no hassle for me. On one occasion I was by myself purchasing oil for my Silverado and one of the guys helped me choose the best one and took it to the register for me. This autozone is the best, the staff was so helpful and knowledgeable I came here for a battery replacement since my battery died on me at work. Once I was able to drive here I bought a fresh one. Store associate Pete assisted me by swapping about the batteries for me. My car decided that it needed to relearn itself took me, Pete, and the assistant manger 2 hours to figure this issue out, but Pete never left my side once we got everything squared away he made sure I was gonna be okay to leave by doing a final battery of test, assured me that it wasn't a mechanical issue just a technical issue that he was able to fix and I was on my way... The staff makes me feel like I'm inconveniencing them when asking to install something. They make me feel this way even when they offer, then they don't do it right. It's like they have no idea what they're doing. Someone installed my head light then suddenly my blinkers, windshield wipers, and radio didn't come on. Turned out they loosened some wires. Today they installed my battery. When I got home and left again my car was dead as a door knob. Turned out they didn't tighten the screws and the battery detached from my car. Stopped into the auto zone because I needed a thing to hold the seatbelt at a more baby bump/boob appropriate angle. Went in, found what I needed and went to pay. One line under the 'parts' sign with 2-3 people in it, and a sign that says 'purchases' by the registers where there are NO employees and when I walked that way, was completely ignored. Ok, no biggie. I get in the other line, it's my turn, and they tell me I should have gone to the other line. I explain that I did, and was ignored for several minutes....the man apologized, and began to ring my item..proceeded to gripe about how his terminal isn't really a register and he's having to do all this stuff to make it work. He at least seemed genuine in his apology, but they were obviously too busy and distracted to have any idea what was going on in the store. read more

She has no idea what's good customer service is very rude when someone is having a conversation especially about the items that you need and walks away from me not once but twice and then leaves me waiting without telling me anything was standing there for a while until someone else walked up to me and asked me if I've been helped after people behind me checked out pay for their items and left and I was still there standing waiting for Annabele well she never came back to even apologize for walking away from me twice very rude and unprofessional is sad how one employee can mess up the whole location for a good team of employees that they have in there. I bought my car battery here, but it only lasted 3 years short. I couldn't exchange it for a new one because there's only a 2 year warranty. So I ended up buying a new battery at Walmart because I found out that it's cheaper than rip off Autozone. I came in for something small, but vital, and had NO idea where I would find it in the store (sincei t's not a big ticket item and wouldn't be on the aisle signs)--the staff (George) was very helpful in helping me find it. There was a little bit of a wait to purchase, but I didn't find them to be slow like other customers. They were helpful even beyond finding what I needed; the sun had set and it was dark, but they had a flashlight that they lent me to use to finish my repair.
