I love autozone for a lot of reasons, we use them pretty much always over other auto part stores because they're everywhere so it's reliable and easy to return stuff, use warranties, etc and the staff is always friendly and helpful. But this location in particular was SO good to me this week. My car had died 3x in the last week which was weird cause I replaced my alternator and battery about a year ago. I had bought the parts at a different autozone in California (which they were super helpful there too-charged my battery for free and all the things, I just don't think the employees at that particular location knew what they were doing).... Anyways, I took it in to this location in stafford for their free battery check and the second the associate opened my hood he almost laughed cause it was a battery for a different car and much smaller than what my car should have. He went and talked to the manager and they were able to replace my battery at no charge since the other autozone in cali had sold me the wrong one. It was such an easy process with no drama. I was expecting to get a lot of pushback, but this was top tier customer service and ownership of the mistake. Highly highly recommend this business! This just confirmed even more why I'll always use them (but maybe in the future I'll double check the parts I purchase are correct haha, but this is the first time in many years of using them that something like this has happened). Only part good about this store is Thomas. The crew is selfish and clearly doesn't want to help. I would avoid this store and go to the one up the road. Terrible assistance just way to young to understand customer service. Was met with attitude and frustration not somewhere I will be spending my money. Autozone did a great job of looking at my car. The battery had died a few days prior and I used jumper cables to restart it, but it took three separate times before my car started on its own. I took it here so they could check the battery. Autozone checks battery life and your alternator for free. When the battery and alternator looked fine, the man helping me questioned what was wrong because it normally doesn't take a car three times for it to start again. They charged my battery (another service they offer for free) for about two hours. After that, my car has had no issues starting. read more

I bought my oil and filter for my car. I was about to pay for my items, and i said that I would like to use my boyfriends number for this transaction. The clerk said that he used his number. I said, no. I am going to use my boyfriends. I had him back out of the transaction to correct it. My card took its time. The other salesman (with the cowboy hat) transferred my transaction to his register, and then I paid. I told this guy about what the other clerk said. He said that it went on my boyfriends account. I told him it is because I had to make him undo it because he used HIS own number. THE MORE I THINK ABOUT THIS MAN TRYING TO GAIN (STEALING) POINTS FROM MY WALLET, THE MADDER I GET. A two star description fits better... However, I wasn't willing to give this place a two star. I went in this morning to purchase air shocks. I had the inventory/skew number that I got off their website. Upon entering the nicely kept store I walked to the front desks/checkout. I greeted the gentleman behind the desk and was not given any courtesy in a return response. Not so much as a smile. Not even a "How can I help you?" Regardless, I understand some people just have a lousy day or aren't morning people. So I remained polite/bubbly with the Employee. I explained to the Employee what I was looking for and told him that I had the inventory number. Which he asked for. I was under the impression that shocks were sold in pairs... Who purchases shocks in singularly unless at "Pick-a-Part?" He told me through a disinterested tone of voice that he would have to "special order" the shocks because they didn't have any and the Warehouse had one. He went to process the order and asked if I wanted two. I responded with confusion "They don't come in pairs?" The skew number I gave him was for a KIT no less. (Which I knew) He responded that they were not sold in pairs that I would need to purchase two. Even after I told him I just wanted them for the "rears" which is what the skew was for regardless. This store is clean, easy to maneuver around to find what I need, but this employee left less to be desired. I don't expect to be waited on hand and foot, but a little politeness in professionalism goes a long way. I still can't grasp the confusion on his part for the number of airshocks I supposedly wanted. Even after saying specifically I wanted the rears. Long story short I went to the Warrenton (on 17) Autozone and was quickly helped, with ACCURATE knowledge and polite professionalism. read more

Went in to replace my battery and get oil, nice young lady changed the battery for me, filled up my oil, and was absolutely charming and hilarious, just fantastic customer service. I have never laughed so hard changing a battery (not that I was the one doing the work), but I have always had great customer service here. read more

Always a delight walking into a parts shop. I have 2 lemons and parts and cleaners are always needed and AutoZones are always more than helpful, all but this one. I came here for a set of brakes for my 94 Camry, a typically easy job to do and easy for the clerk to find. After taking me to the checkout stand to ring me up, I asked for the brakes. The clerk then looked at me and said "So you're not ready...front or rear" I needed front brakes. Ok, a little attitude is deserved on my part because I didn't clarify I needed brakes. He then searched the brakes and asked what engine, I responded "V6" and he still had to ask me if it was a 2.2L or 3.0L... COME ON MAN V6 USUALLY MEANS BIGGER ENGINE! after telling him 3.0 he asked if I wanted "the cheap set or Gold Standard" this always refer to DURALAST brand because that's all the carry. I said Gold set. I purchased them and left in a hurry to change brakes for the VA state inspection.... NO GOOD, WRONG BRAKES! I speed back in my LandCruiser (the other lemon) and thankfully, I'm helped by another employee. I was ready to just return them and go to Advanced AP but this employee was kind enough to apologize for the mistake. So I stuck with them and got the cheap set instead.
