Super cute eco-conscious and minimal waste cafe on St. Charles. Coming from NYC, I absolutely loved the fact they had a compost bin, honey and served to stay orders in glasses. Prices were like NYC prices but food was fresh so I didn't mind. I ordered the croissant sandwich as is with cucumber juice and my friend has the mushroom muffin sandwich on a bagel with coffee. They were able to sub out the English muffin with a bagel with no issue so that was also a sign of superb customer service. Highly recommend if you're in the area! read more

Ended up here a few times, over the course of a weekend staying in the Garden District. This place has breakfast and lunch all day, free water and friendly staffers. Seating is available both inside and out. I think it's better for snacks than full meals, but here is how it breaks out: Ham and cheese croissant - excellent. Hazelnut and cinnamon cruffin - excellent Berry smoothie - very good. Maple bacon sweet potato biscuit - very good. Iced coffee - good, and I was happy that they had oat milk! Hibiscus and raspberry (?) iced tea - good. Tuna sandwich - average. Vegan breakfast sandwich - average. Iced tea - average. Get the cruffin and a coffee and you won't go wrong. read more

This was a recommendation from the concierge while staying at Club Wyndham down the street. We asked for a local coffee shop and this spot was just what we were looking for. We tried the New Orleans iced coffee, which was delicious, the berry and tropical smoothies, the smoked salmon bagel, vegan sandwich, croissant sandwich, and bagel sandwich. We also threw in a biscuit and couple of alfajores, which we were pleased to see on their menu. As another yelper noted, the lox sandwich was a bit overwhelming with the chives cream cheese in addition to the everything bagel and capers. We came here for breakfast as it was walking distance from our hotel. This place was a wonderful surprise! We had the breakfast bagel sandwich and the smoked salmon bagel. Both were Absolute perfection! My girlfriend had a mimosa, and an iced americano - both were incredibly flavorful and filled us up! Our friend had a gluten free mushroom sandwich with goat cheese. Firstly, the staff is AMAZING and took the time to answer questions and made sure that our companion with a gluten allergy was taken care of. The mimosa and coffees came out quickly. Love it! In a city of chicory coffee and huge breakfast this was a great find! Espresso drinks galore and many milk varieties! Pastries & sandwiches! Vegan Bagel sandwich was very enjoyable - hummus, and greens on a everything bagel. Ok New Yorker the bagel is not like home but they have a lot more moisture in the air! Walked in and the place reeked of bleach. Like I've been to public pools with less chlorine in the air. My wife and I ordered our drinks and the cashier was immediately off-putting when I ordered a large americano by explaining up front their Americano only had two shots of espresso. It was odd. Like people had been complaining. I think a better tact would be to offer an extra shot up-sell "would you like two or three shots of espresso?" The pastry counter was ravaged. I get that the morning is prime time but we hit them in the early afternoon and they are open til 8. The beverage was tasty and I like the fact they have milk alternatives for cream-like adds. I love this place and somehow missed it the first three times I stayed right next door!?!? My daughter lives here now and tipped me off. Everyone's really friendly so the place feels inviting to hang out and do some work while getting the caffeine fix. The New Orleans iced coffee is fantastic: not too sweet and strong coffee flavor. We ordered the vegan bagel sandwich and the croissant sandwich as well and they were both terrific too. So breakfast for two came to $15 before tip and half of the bagel is still here for later! read more

This is a nice hop skip and away from our timeshare. Probably took 3 min to walk. Its right on St Charles and they have outside seating for when its not 100 degrees. The inside is very spacious. Its not very tight and it is a relief to get out of the blazing humidity! The staff here are really hospitable. The clientele look like locals and not tourists like us. It's a safe airy open and inviting cafe with great coffee, even better service, and pastries ready to be warmed up; they even have vegan samosas!!!!! The coffee is quality, hot every time. Service is fantastic, everyone who has ever served us has been friendly and genuinely happy to be there and helping you. They have lots of books around for browsing and lovely outdoor seating along historic St Charles Avenue. Also, Mardi Gras Alert - this place is RIGHT on the parade route We came here Mardi Gras morning before Rex and had THE MOST AMAZING fresh squeezed orange juice mimosas right before the parade rolled by, it was literally perfect. This cafe was located close to the hotel where I was staying. There is a cool vibe inside the place with people just hanging out or studying. I ordered the turkey sandwich with Fontina cheese and the salad on the side instead of chips. They were both kind of bland and it took a while for the sandwich to be made. There weren't a lot of people waiting for food so not sure what took so long. The sandwich also cost $9 which after staying in New Orleans for a couple of days is not that expensive but then they ask you to leave a tip on the Square checkout screen. My fresh juice came out quickly, and I played it safe with an orange and apple juice and it was delicious, especially after walking around in a fog for the first couple hours of the day. Sweets are great here, too, I'm just fanatical about Thais savories. Really good vegan options, too. You know it's gonna be good when they tell you it's going to take 6 or 7 minutes to heat your pastry. It's because they have a real warming oven (I assume it's Italian) instead of murdering it in a microwave. You can just tell a lot of thought goes into every aspect of this place. The staff here are absolutely so delightful. I love the vegan options here and was blown away by the vegan sandwich on a bagel. We've come here every time we visit New Orleans. It's never super crowded, the menu is simple but somewhat diverse, and the crowd doesn't seem to be touristy. Super chill and laid back vibes. Fresh squeezed OJ and croissant/bagel sandwiches are my favorite kind of breakfast and they do it well here. The pastries always look so temping but I've yet to try them. Highly recommend! read more
