    The Avis Budget check-in. It's a good distance from the airport.

    Unfortunately, they didn't keep our car in stock, so they offered us an alternative car. The car was not clean and had an incredible stanch of Marijuana, which is certainly not good for a kid. We inform them of this and they gave us a little break. Unfortunately, when we took the car back to Avis they tried to overcharge us. When we tried to speak to the manager, Kyle Cooper, he ducked our calls. In fact, he never called us back or even emailed us, despite sending us a welcome email saying that he was here for us. The assistant manager, Andrew Egan was supposed to remove a bogus charge that Avis put on for no reason. He did not do so. So we had to get it removed elsewhere. All in all the service is really poor here, and we could not recommend it to anyone else in good conscience.

    Damage I tried to report.

    Terrible slow and grossly undertrained/incompetent staffers on the day B4 Thanksgiving. Two young ladies behind the desk; one was a trainee. We got her of course. Long delays even with pre-checkin. All 4 of us (and I'm disabled, wasted an hour so (4 man hours lost), just to get the keys and finalize a pickup rental. Qhich should have taken 5 mins max. The staff were stressed, and their solution was to muddle thru and not communicate with customers and say what was going on, leaving us in the dark for 45 to 55 mins. EX: no.gas in the pickup, so they had to drive it offsite for gas, but never told us. EX 2: Truck had a damaged side panel with blatantly obvious ding, scrape and rust by gas full cap. I doubled back to office to report this discrepancy. Staffer blows me off, then gas lights me, telling me to take pics and report it to the person at the parking lot exit kiosk. Wrong. She says she cannot log any damage issues on any rental and I'm to hang onto the pics for checkin. This puts the burden of proving the damage on me, which is a misleading and disceptive trade practice. Some rental companies have been known to trick the renter, and try to charge them for damages not incurred. I tried heartily to show the damage side wall and rust, scrapes and missing auto FM antenna, to their exit gate staffer, but the gate person said it wasnt her job and therefore she couldnt help. Infuriating and this last part wasted another 10 minutes. Ppl at the checkin.counter couldnt figure oit how to wring up a 4 day rental pickup on an AMEX card (a first), or how to send a receipt to a customer email. The service was so poor, I feel the need to report the pre-rental exisiting damage to coorporate, so I dont get charged for it on the return, where aI will have to now PROVE with my pics that was already damaged before we picked it up. A shameful way to run a business.

    This has taken 2 hours so far and I'm still sitting in the car rental garage. Will never rent from Avis again. Unbelievable

Zak was extremely helpful, professional, and communicated everything clearly from start to finish. The checkout process was quick and timely, and he went above and beyond to explain things I didn't fully understand without ever making me feel rushed. Because of Zak's outstanding customer service, I'm officially a customer for life. I'm a co-parent and travel to Austin every other month, and Fox will continue to be my go-to rental company because of experiences like this. Please keep Zak around give him a raise, recognition, whatever you need to do because he is awesome and will absolutely continue bringing in repeat business.     I wish i could give 0 stars but 1 is the only on Yelp. We booked a car through wisecars.com (car…read morebroker) and then they said we had to pick up the car from fox rent a car. It took us more than 30 minutes to get our car from the fox rent a car. First off, we reserved a Kia Sportage online and paid for it. However, when we got to the booth, the representative kept telling us we booked a Nissan Kick. And then, he said that car wasn't available either and that we can only rent us the Dodge charger which was a sedan. It newly saying is roomy and it would have plenty of space for our things. Which was bull! When we asked for a SUV, he said he had a grand Cherokee but it would cost us$20 more per day. It was so frustrating. He wasn't trying to work with us. I thought he was being rude and took advantage of us. We ended up taking the dodge because we didn't want to pay more. By the way, it wasn't roomy at all. It was cramped inside the car with the car seat, diaper bag, and me in the back with the baby. We were so mad. We complained to wisecars.com about our situation and they said they would email fox rent a car. They got back to us and said that fox rent a car actually upgraded us to that sedan. How was that an upgrade from an SUV? I wish I read the reviews for this rental car company before we went there. Don't rent from these guys. They don't care about you.

    Pickup and drop off we're very easy. Vehicle function was…read morefine but underwhelming for a 2021 vehicle (Nissan Kick). Only complaint is the cleanliness of the interior. In sunlight it was easy to see many streaks and spots where a cleaning liquid was used but not wiped dry. There were also several long black hairs on the upholstery and central console. I don't expect a perfectly clean car but long (like 12" long) hair around the interior makes it seem like not a lot of cleaning occured. Will note the vehicle I rented via Dollar ended up coming from Hertz.

(i called for 3 hours straight -(12pm-3pm) 2. when i showed up i told the guy and he said "yea our phones don't work" i told him he should tell his boss and he said "yea they know and don't really care" (in my defense this was a red flag and i should've backed out here but unfortunately i was tired from traveling and just wanted to get to my hotel) 3. i drove to get food near the airport and as soon as i was done i turned my car on and all types of warnings popped up on the car (need oil change and other random alerts that came and went throughout the trip)...now i would've called the number and tried to get a different car but the number doesn't work. all in all i will never use dollar or hertz again...WHAT A TRAINWRECK
