They have a great Happy Hour on Tuesdays. I got a strawberry margarita and the Taco Tuesday special (options are beef, chicken pork or veggie) and it's 3 tacos for $10. This is a great spot in the Upper East Side.

Came here for their Thursday all day happy hour deal, where wine and margaritas are $10 each. My friend ordered some chicken tenders and fries, which was a pretty good portion of the price. The skinny hibiscus and regular margs are quite strong, though I'd recommend skipping the spicy marg. - But the staff was really nice, and I would definitely return.

We had a great time as Avoca. It's been a local spot that's been open for a few years but this was our first time going. Ambiance: We sat outside as the weather was really nice and Avoca has great outdoor seating. We sat in the front - they have a nice section where you can feel like you're part of the street crowd but also semi private. Note: They also have a garden patio in the back in case front seating is full. Food/Drinks: We got mocktails and NA beer. I loved that the menu clearly stated which cocktails could be made into a mocktail. They were also willing to work with our flavor profile and make us a mocktail based on what we wanted. For food, we got the fried mushroom. It was pretty good and the sauce was a nice compliment for it. I do wish the mushroom was cut to smaller sizes - it would have allowed for less breading and a crispier fry. We also got the curry cauliflower - unfortunately, it was disappointing for us. It felt way too sour and there wasn't a lot of flavor to it other than that. The truffle fries were really good and a great snack. Service: Everyone was friendly and nice. We sat there for about 3 hours and they didn't rush us. They came and checked on us often. Price: Everything was reasonable priced. Mocktails were about $10 which I think is a fair price. The appetizers were also priced well especially for the portion size.

Stopped here on a whim after taking my dog to the park. I was looking for a dog friendly option but keep in mind the dog open inclusive spaces here are outside in front or on the patio in the back if you want to be seated with your fur baby. The interaction with the host though was odd I asked to be seated and instead of him letting me know more about the dog friendly seating he asked if my dog was a service animal. She is, then he asked if I had "paperwork" for her. Service animals don't require paperwork which I let him know. I also didn't want to sit inside because it was too tight so I opted to sit outside to enjoy the unseasonably good weather. My waitress Merit was friendly and helpful with all the questions I had. I ordered two cocktails but no food, I wasn't really hungry. Both drinks were off the menu and good. I ordered noodle something off of the dog menu and she ate all of it.

My company had their holiday party in the back room, which was a little chilly but nicely decorated with a cozy feel. For drinks, I opted for Shirley Temple, Tamarind Mocktail, and mixture of Juices. The Shirley Temple was sweet, refreshing, and nicely fizzy. I wasn't really a fan of the Tamarind Mocktail though. It left a weird aftertaste. We had some shared appetizers of Buffalo Chicken dip with Crostini and Crudités, Chicken Tenders, Pigs in a Blanket, and Mushroom Quiche. The Buffalo Chicken dip was full of bold flavor and really tasty with the crispy bread. Chicken Tenders were satisfyingly crunchy and succulent. Pigs in a Blanket was decent as well, with juicy little hot dogs and soft bread all around. For my entree, I ordered the Salmon with lemon beurre blanc, along with Forbidden Rice and vegetables. The Salmon was slightly crispy, lightly charred, tender, and well seasoned. The sauce was creamy smooth with such lovely, nuanced lemony and white wine flavor. The rice was wild rice mixed with white and black. It was well seasoned and cooked well. The vegetables included broccolini and carrots. I got to try the Parmesan Truffle Fries, which were delightfully crunchy, with plenty of cheese and truffle taste. Service was good. The servers were friendly and on top of it. I would be open to returning to try the Avoca Ultimate Smashburger (served with bacon and fried egg).

My friends and I went to Avoca on a Thursday for happy hour. They have a gossip girl bottomless dinner special. To participate in the unlimited drinks, you need to purchase an entree, sandwich, or salad. When I arrived, it was pretty packed. I was happy to get a table right by the door. I was the first one to arrive. When my friends arrived, we were informed that everyone needed to participate in the bottomless dinner special. We decided to participate in the special. I ordered a sandwich and started with a Gossiptini to drink. I liked that you could change your drink. After the first drink I went to the Margarita, and I also tried the Mimosas. I realized after trying all of these drinks. I don't like the drinks at Avoca. None of the drinks were good.

Unlimited brunch- Why is everything so good!!! Got the Avoca breakfast with truffle fries and my best friend got the Egg Slut and these drinks are to goood! We love a good brunch that serves more than mimosas , definitely coming back!

It's ok. I like the drinks and burgers but can't say I enjoy the fish much. It's just a normal bowl of poke with tad bit too much vinegar. The grain was very loose.

I went to Avoca for dinner, but I would not recommend this place just for dinner. The music was very loud and it was a very bar vibe (not bad but not what I expected). This place is great for drinks and some bites. I got a watermelon cocktail that I didn't love, and a veggie burger and fried mushrooms that I did love. If looking for a bar, I would go here again.

Nice find in the UES for brunch. We got lucky with a table in the back garden. The menu has a bunch of options that sound good. We got the egg slutt and the avoca all American. I don't think you can go wrong here. Simple things like bacon, eggs, potatoes, and toast taste better here than you could imagine.

One of my new favorite brunch spots! I loveeee Dominican breakfast so the Tres Golpes is my favorite. I love that they have a variety for bottomless as well. Spicy marg and skinny marg are definitely my go-tos. My servers have always been wonderful. The bartender wasn't great the last time I went but everything else made up for it. If you don't like dogs I would not recommend lol. There are always plenty there, they have a whole menu for them:)

Wend to Avoca without a reservation on a Saturday morning, we were grateful to get a table without having to wait too long; but then the table turned out to be in the aisle between the entrance to the kitchen and the bathroom on a very tight and on the way spot. I feel like that table should not exist at all since it was just a risk of getting hit by trays and being uncomfortably on the way. For food, I had a coffee, a single mimosa (bottomless is also an option but was not feeling it at the time) and the avocado toast which was delicious and very filling. The service was polite but a bit slow , which is expected given how packet the restaurant was on a Saturday morning. Would recommend and be back , with a reservation next time!

I first learned about this place through a flier I received passing by. My coworkers and I were looking for a fun after work spot and I remembered the flier since it's so nearby. The service was amazing. Reghan was our server and was awesome. The food was great and the drinks were even better. HIGH KEY recommend the skinny marg. This is such a great spot and we definitely will be coming back for after-work drinks and more. Great vibes, great people, great all around! read more

I wish I could give this restaurant five stars - it has all of the ingredients for a great neighborhood spot: very appealing indoors, outdoor patio, kind wait staff, appealing menu - but the food just wasn't quite as good as we hoped. We ordered the mussels and Caesar, and, unfortunately, both lacked flavor. So many of the menu items looked appealing - yet with these disappointing picks, I worry the others may not live up either. Maybe it's on the newer side and the food will improve, everything else makes for a pleasant night out in the UES neighborhood. read more

Never rent the private room at this place. Went to a party last night and they shoved 2 parties into this back room and never told either party there would be another group sharing the room with them. Real shady business happening here. Very disappointing read more

I came as part of a large group which had ordered items off the menu. For appetizers, we had chicken cordon bleu balls (these were amazing - crisp outside with juicy insides), mini beef wellingtons (good as well), and tomato quiches (too dry). We also had some of beef tacos, which were good but could have had more meat in each one as well as the smash burgers, which I would have preferred more medium rare. All in all, the meal was good. read more

GIOVANNI WAS AMAZING! He was extremely attentive and friendly. The food here was made fresh and the drinks are by far the best thing about the gossip girl bottom less brunch. They even gave us complimentary drinks to celebrate & test out. The ambiance here is low key and calm, it's a perfect place to come with the girls or on a date night. 10/10 recommend. read more

My friend and I came for happy hour and drinks were $8 for the beer and strawberry margarita! I enjoyed my drink; and the staff was friendly too. We sat indoors and it was relatively empty when we first got in because we came around 530 pm. By the time we left it was definitely popping and more crowded. I ordered the avoca burger and truffle fries, and it was really delicious! I definitely recommend and plan to come back for the other menu items soon read more

Hostess was not present for 10-15 minutes at the entrance of the restaurant. We get seated, and our server didn't come to our table or speak to us for another 15-20 minutes. My boyfriend ended up ordering at the bar because we didn't even know if they were serving us. We had a reservation, too. Menu for food has 5-6 items and the one chicken item I wanted had "ran out" -- disappointing.. so I went with the lamb sliders and it was average at best. Cocktails tasted really sweet. I only stuck with one. I really really wish the service was better as I was looking forward to trying to new restaurant on the Upper East. read more

Have been here twice in the last week and both times excellent service and music. Gets crowded quickly, but there are spots in the back that are away from the crowds and the speaker. The spicy margarita is infused with jalapeño and turmeric and is so yummy. I also love love love their truffle fries. I also had the curried cauliflower and that was yummy too. A great experience at Avoca! Food and drinks were delicious! I recommend the burrata, truffle fries, Thai curry mussels and seared scallops! The purple queen cocktail was really nice, not too sweet, great flavor! I also got the empress Negroni, really great as well if you like gin! Staff was super attentive, really checked on us making sure we were happy & if needed more drinks and manager came to every table asking how everything was. A really nice gesture! read more

Today for brunch my fiancé and I decided to check out a new spot a block away from our apartment. Let me tell you, avoca did not disappoint. We got the Caesar salad, and brunch burger to share. We were so busy enjoying our food we didn't get a chance to take a photo of the food. We decided afterwards that we wanted a good Irish coffee. So long story short, I'm from San Francisco and I haven't been able to find a great Irish coffee in nyc. Well, the search is over! We found our spot! Conner our server made sure to not only make the best but every part of the Irish coffee was fresh, from fresh brewed coffee to the homemade cream topping. This place is hands down our go to spot. I hosted a party in the back room/ space of Avoca and it was amazing. Everyone loved the food, the staff was so friendly and the area was gorgeous. Rory helped me set up the event and was super accommodating, even with last minute changes. The food set up was perfect and their menu was great, even for dogs! I had a 30th birthday party here over the summer- the venue was beautiful (awesome patio with tropical vibes), service was amazing and food and cocktails were delicious! Their menu takes bar food staples and truly elevates them to be a bit more formal, delicious and crowd pleasing. Their cocktails and craft beer were a hit for everyone and aesthetically gorgeous! To top it off the whole Avoca team was extremely attentive, kind and helpful throughout. Happy to have this as a neighborhood staple, 10/10 would recommend! read more

This is the perfect brunch spot to watch the NYC Marathon! My friends and I have been coming here the past two years and won't be stopping. The service is great and they were able to accommodate our large party of 12. The food is fantastic and the drinks keep flowing. They have a bottomless brunch for $35 plus an entree but let you also order drinks à la carte if you prefer. The music is FANTASTIC and the vibes are unmatched. Love this place and recommend for any brunch. read more

We had an outstanding small party out on Avoca's back patio last weekend. Had a great crowd in their 30s - 60s and the menu worked for everyone from the shishito peppers to the smash burgers to the truffle fries. The service (from our waitress, Mia, to the owner, Rory, checking in) was outstanding. Cocktails and wine were great too. Truly a fantastic experience on a beautiful Sunday afternoon on the Upper East. read more

We held our Christmas party here for work in December 2022. Everything was perfect. We really enjoyed the outdoor space - which had been winterized for the weather - and all the food was delicious. People were raving about the mac and cheese and the burgers. Also, after we moved out to the bar, I really appreciated them giving us a heads up of when our open bar time was ending. The open bar food and drink packages they have are very reasonable. It was a really great event. Thank you so much! read more

I had the best birthday party at Avoca last weekend. Rory was extremely communicative, kind, and helpful via email throughout the entire planning process. Once we arrived, Joshua immediately greeted us and was so welcoming. He even gave us the controls to the music playlist of the venue! Even though it started to rain that night and originally the party was supposed to be in a private area on the backyard patio, Rory quickly made accommodations for us to have a private area inside the venue. I was so impressed by how smooth the night went. My friends and I had the best time! The drinks and food were delicious. The bartender even made me a fancy cocktail that wasn't even on the menu! This venue was extra special since it is where my boyfriend and I had our first date several months prior. Highly recommend Avoca for a date, gathering with friends, or a private party! The back patio is my favorite and we love how dog friendly the venue is. read more

I love this place!! The drinks are amazing and so is the food. I had the burger and fries and also tried the Mac and cheese. Both were fantastic and full of flavor. I love the our door seating in the back! It's stunning. Great for events as well. The service was on point. Everyone is friendly and really knowledgeable about wine and the dishes. Everything on the menu is a must try. You really can't go wrong! The aesthetics is lovely. They have an outdoor front area and a back outdoor area. Inside is also lovely. Some must tried: espresso martini, strawberry margarita, anything on their food menu! The owner Rorry is the sweetest! This is one of my favorite places! Also.... Dog friendly!!! read more

Ambiance is chill most of the time. The inside doesn't have the best acoustics and sometimes you can hear the next table's conversation more than your own. The outside is great and dog friendly. Downside of outside is the bugs. I'm a big magnet so it's out of the question for me in the summer. The smash burgers are very good . The Happy hour margaritas and food and a good deal. The service is hit or miss. Very good or terrible- like forgot to put our order in and not even an apology- we ordered 2 burgers. People who got in after us had 2 drinks and 2 burgers and left before we were served. My husband who bartended for years was so angry he won't go back. read more

Such a great place! The eggs benedict was delicious, truffle fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned. Bottomless brunch was incredible and the staff made sure you got the best bang for your buck! The staff are so friendly, definitely would come back! Also-- the decor and ambiance are very cute, and they allow dogs so there's also endless pups to pet. read more

It's totally serviceable and it seems others have a great time here, but I found the experience wholly forgettable.

It seemed like the natural choice, so I went ahead with the booking. Jungly is located in LIC - it's a pretty convenient spot as its close to the LIRR and the subway. Parking can be a challenge, but luckily I found a spot only a block away. The space itself is nicely set up - walking in you're immediately greeted by the bar area with dining areas both to the left and the right. Due to our size, they closed the place to the public and we were able to freely roam the bar area and one of the dining rooms. In addition to standard tables, they have some lounge space and high tops by the bar. The vibe is somewhat modern - a black/grey color scheme paired with neon and golds. It looks like the space could easily be converted to a club-like atmosphere. Since we were here for a private event, the food was set up buffet style - we chose three apps, four mains, and two sides. Ultimately, for apps we chose pita bread with dips, steak tacos, and shrimp tacos. For mains we chose fried chicken sliders, smashed beef sliders, cacio e pepe, and roasted chicken. For sides, we got fries and Brussels sprouts. In general, all of the food was tasty; the strongest dishes were the tacos, fries, and the chicken tacos. The tacos were generously filled, the fries were the crispy skin style, and the chicken sliders were nice and crispy. The weakest for me was the cacio e pepe - not much flavor and just not really a standout IMO. My communication with management to set up the event were a little staccato, though in the end everything worked out. For the most part, my communication with them was consistent in the days leading up to the event. Service the night of the event was overall good - they were very accessible but I found that they could have replenished the food a little faster in response to the rate it was being taken from the buffet. The bar, on the other hand, was great - both in service and variety of liquor available. Overall, we had a great event at Jungly. They were professional, fair, and delivered on the goods. Loved it! We hosted my husbands 30th birthday here in the back patio area on a Saturday in August for 40 people and everything was brilliant. Rory and the rest of the team were very hospitable and made sure we were well taken care of on the night. I had a private party here for my birthday and it was fantastic! The patio space is perfect for a group. Service was excellent, and the whole staff was super helpful and welcoming! They let us bring in decorations and connect a playlist, and kept the drinks flowing. Would definitely recommend! I hate brunch. Generally. This place made brunch awesome. the burger was delicious, beers were great, kids menu my kids loved, and Sedona and Caroline were 10/10 for our servers. I will be back here the next chance I get! Thanks for a great brunch! oh, and we don't have dogs, but this place is clearly the best dog-friendly brunch place I have ever seen. but I'm still not getting a dog. read more

Hosted a birthday party in the back patio a few weeks ago. The staff could not have been more accommodating, they took great care of our party. The drinks were great, and service was fast. We were not rushed when we stayed past the allotted time. The patio is a great space for a large group, providing a lot of flexibility. I've visited this spot multiple times for brunch and happy hour, and it's always been a blast. The drinks are top-notch, and the atmosphere is even better. . For my birthday celebration this year, I chose to celebrate here, and Rory and his team went above and beyond to make sure my friends and I had a blast, even securing space for us post-open bar. The backyard area at Avoca restaurant is a true hidden gem. The combination of a beautiful outdoor setting, impeccable service, and delicious cuisine created a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone in our graduation party group. Tried out this place for the first time and was very Impressed, we had some healthy options, zucchini matchsticks, tuna poke bowl and the black bean veggie burger. food was very tasty and cocktails were on point, will definitely go back They have these cool little lamps with different settings which make the place look very cozy read more

The egg white smash was great as I have a hard time with brunch menus due to an egg yolk intolerance! I really enjoyed the cocktail variety and sitting on the outside back patio was enjoyable!! Would definitely recommend anyone to try this place out and now that I know how dog friendly they are we will be back with our corgi! read more

Emily was an excellent server. We were torn about which potatoes to order and she was incredibly descriptive and helpful. The eggs slut Sando and the egg white scramble were both A+! Also the playlist is . And the music is played at the perfect volume so you can enjoy it while also enjoying your company/ conversation. read more
