First time here and I am really impressed. Juice made fresh to order and willing to accommodate requests for modifications. The salmon avocado toast was fabulous with two perfectly cooked poached eggs that were not too runny overtaking the dish. The bred was crispy but light enough to make it easy to eat with the plastic fork and knife. Generous slice of watermelon served on the side balanced it all well. The jalapeno ranch they provide is actually really damn good. It's not necessarily spicy, but I can tell it's made in house. Surprisingly out of all the ingredients, the avocados were just Ok. I find this surprising as the restaurant has it in their name, but the salad as a whole was still good. It's a huge salad that may take you some time to finish. They offer fruit as a snide, even though it's not mentioned on the menu, the choice of fruit changes depending on what they have. That day, they had watermelon. It was ripe and juicy, although I wished they had served it cold. They give you at least ten huge slices. It's probably the most watermelon I've ever received at a restaurant. We had chosen to come to this restaurant specifically for the salmon toast we heard of. At first the lady was nice when we ordered - we got the salmon toast, the chicken toast, a juice, and an iced tea. When the food came out the salmon toast I received was not salmon toast but a wrap of mostly lettuce and cucumber with barely any salmon and the side of fruit was 2 small slices of watermelon. When we asked the lady if this was the toast she said no and gaslit us saying we ordered the "salmon wrap" which is not possible because we didn't even know the restaurant had a salmon wrap and had discussed ordering the toast all morning. Also the iced tea was 90% ice we couldn't even put the straw in. The juice and chicken toast were good at least and the ambiance was nice thus why I'm not giving one star. I'm disappointed we didn't get to try the salmon toast which is why we went in the first place and ended up paying the same amount for a wrap of lettuce. I wanted to come back to try more off of the menu and was looking forward to making this our new brunch spot but after this experience and lack of customer service I don't want to support the business and won't be able to try the toast. read more

I care here 10/18/19 after opening maps and typing "food" and this was the closest to where i was at at that time. i live in vegas but i made a trip out to irving ca and i was hungry after driving for four hours. i went in with my brother and he ordered a poached egg on top of toast and it came with watermelon slices, whatever that meal is called is what he had. i'm not a fan of runny eggs so i didn't try it but he said it's the best he's ever had. i had the BLTA, it's a blt with their house sauce spread on the bread, it's thinner than guac but has the slightest kick. it was absolutely delicious. the bread was just the right amount of toasty-ness, the lettuce was fresh and crunchy, the tomatoes were bright red and crunchy, the bacon had just the right amount of crunch to it, not too soft but definitely not burnt either. i didn't think anyone could mess up a blt too bad (unless of course you burn the bacon) but this was by far thee BEST blt i've ever had. if you're facing the doors going into Avocado Cafe, there's a small circle table with two chairs to the left of the doors of the cafe, there's bottles of condiments on the other side of the glass. that's where my brother and i sat and where we had the best meal of our lives. i'm writing this on 10/22/19 and i found out today my brother killed himself. please for the love of god to whoever is reading this, if you like poached egg or can appreciate a fantastic blt, please try either in honor of my brother, or if you've never been to this cafe and are checking the reviews to be sure it's worth it, i'm telling you first hand it is most definitely worth it. if the table is available, and if the weather permits, please sit there and enjoy the best meal of your life also in honor of my brother. he loved to make people smile and he loved to make people happy, he is the best person i've ever had the pleasure of meeting. i'm blessed the best person i've ever met was my brother and i'm blessed i was able to enjoy the best breakfast/brunch cafe (best you'll ever go to too i promise) was with him. read more

Amazing - I have lived (and worked) about a half mile away from this little gem and this afternoon was my first visit. I've seen the sign off Jamboree many times but today I decided to walk over from work and give it a try for lunch. It's a small place, kind of tucked in the apartment/condo complex. Parking didn't look too easy, but lucky for me - I got my steps in for the day and walked. First off, the customer service was awesome! The cashier and girl that brought my food to me was very friendly. Even when I was eating (outside, BTW, great place to sit), a gentlemen came by to make sure everything was ok. Now the food, was pretty darn good. I ordered the Kissel sandwich and was surprised at how big the portion was. It came with a side of chips that were also delicious. Can't forget to add the salt and pepper tho come on. The interior here is a little depressing. They have high dark chairs that do not go well with the atmosphere of a neighborhood cafe. They need a little spruce up inside... I think that is why most customers eat outside on the tables and chairs they have set up instead of eating in. The salad was a little weird to me with cucumbers, mushrooms, and cheese. But the dressing was very good! Parking was ok but I went early. I imagine it'd get packed during rush hours. The only reason this cafe gets a 4 star is that there's not much parking. (I had to circle around.). Otherwise, the food is delicious. I had the Rodeo sandwich and it was one of the best roast beef sandwiches I've had as the roast beef was cut thick and the cheese made it a very succulent sandwich.
