I should have listened to my gut because they completely ripped me off. Both times I called AVS they were able to come to my home quickly. This was important because my A/C wasn't working and the weather was quite hot. I'd tried to problem solve on my own but didn't get anywhere. Both times AVS "fixed" what I later discovered were small problems. Yes, I needed an A/C professional to help me but I did not need them charge $763 to jiggle some wires and replace a fuse. This is literally the only thing they did per the A/C professional I called a week later when my system wasn't running again. AVS gaslighted and overcharged me for basic service. I am more than willing to pay for quick service and expect to be charged for a visit. But these people are blatant thieves. When I had the wiring issue fixed + a little coolant today by a different company, the serviceman couldn't believe what I'd been charged by AVS for the work they'd done (I'd save the receipts and showed them to him). They reconnected the wires and undid the damage so the condenser fan worked again. They also immediately confirmed that the compressor has failed. I opted for a new unit over a rebuilt compressor (which is like replacing a car engine) and I could not be happier.
