This a complaint to the repair company regarding an ongoing, unresolved refrigerator issue covered by American Home Shield (AHS). I have not had a properly working refrigerator for over 23 calendar days. The refrigerator has had multiple service visits (since 5/3/26), including replacement of a filter drier and thermostat, but the issue persists. Problem worsening & safety concerns: The appliance is now experiencing extreme temperature spikes (up to 100+°F in the freezer), emitting steam and a burning plastic smell, raising concerns about a potential fire hazard and health risk. I have asked for detailed service records from each visit to provide to AHS for warranty processing. I am dissatisfied with the lack of progress and requests escalation. I have been without a reliable refrigerator for over 3 weeks and has spent over $400 out-of-pocket (warranty premium, service call, and a temporary mini fridge). I am concerned about the lack of documentation of past work and diagnosis or recommendation for replacement (for AHS). I hope somebody will read this and consider it urgent. I am frustrated, am emphasizing safety risks, financial burden, and repeated failure to resolve the issue. Please consider accountability and escalation. Documentation of the issue thus far: 1. On 5/3/26 I made the request for a Frigidaire Refrigerator -Model LFTR1814LBD -Mfg. in 2013 -It is a top-freezer model that has an 18.2 cu ft. capacity 2. The technician replaced the Filter Drier on the first visit request between 5/3 to 5/14. 3. The problem persisted after 5/14/26. 4. The technician came back and replaced the thermostat on 5/19/26. 5. The same day the technician replaced the thermostat, the temperature in the freezer spiked drastically to 72-76 degrees in a matter of 5-10 min. 6. The same day as the temperature spike, we noticed that very warm air was circulating within the freezer. 7. There was also a terrible smell of 'smoke' that resembled something akin electrical short around 5 PM. It was alarming and we were afraid of a fire hazard. 8. An appointment was scheduled for 5/22/26. The Repair company told us to plug the refrigerator back in so that the temperature was normalized for the technician's upcoming troubleshooting visit. 9. The fridge was unplugged immediately from 5/19/26 at 5:15 PM until 5/21/26 at 1 PM. 10. After the refrigerator was plugged back in the following temperature fluctuations were noted (F = Freezer, R = Refrigerator). [5/21/26, 1:33 PM, Normal Dial position in the Freezer and Refrigerator, F = 7 degrees, R = 36 degrees.] [5/21/26, 7:32 PM, Normal Dial position in the Freezer and Refrigerator, F = 4 degrees, R = 41 degrees.] [5/21/26, 10:28 PM, Normal Dial position in the Freezer and Refrigerator, F = 6 degrees, R = 47.7 degrees.] [5/22/26, 6:05 AM, Normal Dial position in the Freezer and Refrigerator, F = 1 degrees, R = 36 degrees.] [5/22/26, 10:45 AM, Normal Dial position in the Freezer and Refrigerator, F = 71 degrees, R = 47.5 degrees.] [5/25/26, 10:41 PM, Normal Dial position in the Freezer and Refrigerator, F = 84 degrees, R = 57 degrees.]** (NOTE** overnight the freezer spiked to 84 degrees, and the refrigerator spiked to 57 degrees; instant read thermometer logged 125-degree air flowing into freezer at 6 AM on 5/26/26). 11. I have evidence of the huge temperature spike. 12. The technician scheduled to come back, 5/22/26, between 12-6 PM. -I was concerned about the huge temperature fluctuations now and the perceived fire hazard. -I do not want the appliance to catch on fire. -I understand that refrigerant can be flammable. -My major concern is the time I have had to invest as well as money too. -$200 for a mini fridge so my food would not spoil -Out of pocket I have spent over $400 (includes insurance premium and service call charge) 14. On 5/25/26 two repairmen came and replaced a thermostat in the freezer. -The issue has not been resolved -Video is available -A recall request was requested on 5/26 I have not had a properly working refrigerator for over 23 calendar days. ----------- Happy One-Month Anniversary. Unfortunately, there is nothing worth celebrating. It has now been approximately one month since your company determined that my refrigerator could not be repaired, yet I am still without a reliable appliance and without a resolution. Based on the technician's findings, your company should have contacted American Home Shield's Authorizations Department and submitted the necessary recommendation for replacement weeks ago. Instead, I have encountered delays, inconsistent information, poor communication, and a complete lack of transparency regarding the status of my claim. What is most frustrating is that this appears to be a straightforward process, yet after a month of waiting and repeated attempts to obtain answers, I am still in limbo with no explanation for why the required authorization has not been submitted. read more

To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting a formal complaint against AZ Repair Services (AZA Services), owned by Mr. Dogdan, and 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, who contracted this vendor, for failure to repair or replace our refrigerator in a timely and effective manner. Key Facts: * November 20: Service request opened through 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty for a non-working refrigerator. * AZ Repair Services replaced the compressor. The refrigerator did not work afterward. * Technician Andres stated his supervisor, Mr. Dogdan, said this was "normal" and to wait. The unit never functioned. * The claim was closed without resolution, requiring a new claim despite failed repairs. * Nearly a month later, AZ Repair Services replaced the electronic control board. The refrigerator still did not work. * The condition worsened: no cooling, no water dispensing, loud shaking noises, and eventually no power. * The technician stated a request would be submitted to replace the refrigerator. * January 16 2026: I was informed that instead of requesting replacement, Mr. Dogdan submitted another request to replace the same failed parts again. Outcome: * My family has been without a working refrigerator for over 2 1/2 months. * The vendor failed to complete the service or provide a resolution. * The owner did not return calls. * Repeated major part replacements were unreasonable given the refrigerator's age (approximately 15 years). Accountability extends to both AZ Repair Services and 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty for continuing ineffective repairs and delays. I have four active 2-10 policies (three rentals and my primary residence) and have been a long-term customer. They are the contractors with my home warranty Am. Home Shield. They have fixed my dryer and got it back into its little space perfectly. I'm always scared the vent hose won't go back correctly. They have fixed my washer perfectly! 3 times! They usually have to move the dryer to fix the washer. What a pain but the tech, (Russian decent) is such a trooper and pleasant individual! I just love him! Luckily the current repair going on now doesn't require moving it. Just a bad power connector. I would highly recommend this company as they have not failed me once. I give them a ZERO rating. Looks like everyone else has the same experience with them, and all referred by Home warranty companies. AHS referred us to have the refrigerator repaired. The tech replaced the ice maker and was to replace worn, warped dispenser levers and the tubing in back as it desperately needs to be replaced. The tech said he could do it but his manager won't order the parts or let him. He has been out 4 times, long wait between times and today he said he didn't know why he was here as his order was blank. I was told 4 times by American Home Shield that the replacement parts and work has been approved, was also told that by AZA. I started this fiasco in January, this is now March. Just got off the phone, again, with American Home Sheild, same song and dance. Lets see if their management calls me back as requested. NOT a happy customer. read more

Repair Made Things Worse - Burned, Damaged, Still Not Working I had a refrigerator repair on 10/02/25 through Landmark Home Warranty, subcontracted to AZA Repair, and it was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. After the visit, my refrigerator was still not working at all--in fact, after 24 hours it was warmer than before the "repair." On top of that, the technician actually caused new damage. He scorched my refrigerator with a blowtorch, leaving visible burn marks, and left copper lines sticking out nearly two inches. This not only prevents the rear panel from being reinstalled but also means the fridge can't be placed back against the wall without risk of damage to both the wall and the copper lines. The technician also left tools behind, oil and copper beads scattered across my kitchen, and tracked oil through my house. Worst of all, he left in a hurry without giving me any service slip or receipt and appeared to push the refrigerator only "mostly" back into place in a way that clearly looked like he was trying to conceal the scorch marks. When I called customer service, I was told no one could come back for at least a week--even though we had already been without a functioning refrigerator for two weeks. This level of negligence, damage, and lack of accountability is completely unacceptable. I strongly warn others against using this company. read more

Worst company ever. They have sent the same technician, Andre, out to "fix" our dishwasher SEVEN times and it still doesn't work. They are contracted through American Home Shield. They can't or won't fix it and they won't send it up to AHS so that we can just get a new one. Every time we call they tell us their answering service is the only people we can speak to and will not let us talk to a manager or anybody higher. When we tell them it's not fixed they say well it's been closed out and the only way to "open" it again is to have Andre come back out for an EIGHTH time. Avoid this company at all cost. They are lazy, incompetent, and have no idea what customer service is or what it means. You have a better chance of watching YouTube and fixing any issue instead of using this company. Beware of scam! Wanted to charge $590 to clean lint from dryer. When I refused he called the warranty company and told them not to cover any additional repairs. Luckily warranty company sent out a different repair man and he found the actual issue and fixed dryer. read more

Horrible Experience! If I could give zero stars, I would. My home warranty company hired AZA appliance repair to fix the broken door on my microwave. When the technician came out to replace the door, he broke the grill above the door. He admitted he broke it and stated it happens all the time. He told me he had to "order a part." That was three weeks ago -- I have called numerous times, each time getting an excuse, they don't have a supervisor I can talk to, and they closed the work order without finishing the job. To make a long frustrating story a little shorter, the part has been discontinued and it cant be found anywhere ( I did the research myself) Every time I call, I get the same runaround: "We'll check and call you back." Spoiler alert: they never do. Finally after numerous calls to the Home Warranty company about this Vendor they refunded my service call fee of $100. Since it's been discontinued, we had to buy a new microwave. AZA made NO Effort to correct the problem and couldn't even be honest with us about the part. I agree with all the other one star reviews. It took them one week to come back to replace a belt on a dryer and when they left, they had spilled a gallon of detergent down a cabinet and behind the dryer and just left it there. I also have American home Shield who sent them out and would not assign a different company. They also tried to tell me that I needed the dryer vent cleaned, and the vent goes straight from the back of the dryer out the wall. You can reach through the vent with your hand. I would never recommend this company. They can only communicate through a translator app. read more

Quoted me a week for parts for my washing machine, then after a week I was told ANOTHER week, and they wouldn't schedule my repair before the part actually arrived. I would give zero stars if I could. Dispatched by American home shield for a dryer. The guy tried to get my husband to pay $600 for a vent cleaning we knew we didn't need (my husband recently cleaned it). When my husband refused, the technician tried to bully him into it and threatened to tell the warranty company it was our fault for not getting the vent cleaned, which he did and the warranty company denied payment. I demanded a second opinion, and the second company said the air flow is fine, the vent is clear, it was a component problem. This company will try to scam you, avoid at all costs. read more

Around the same time as somebody else recently, I had a fridge not able to maintain cold temps and the Slavic guy, who did not speak English and used a translator app, came out and said it needed a part. More than a week later, he finally replaced the part, which made the fridge stop working completely! When he came back, he said he couldn't diagnose the problem because I had unplugged the non-functional fridge. He didn't even try to do any diagnostics after replugging back in (compressor was clearly not kicking in!). So he left and now they say they can't come back again for almost 10 days, saying they were too busy! How they are getting so much business when they do such a bad job boggles my mind. Even home warranty companies ought to realize soon that they are not competent. Anyway, I finally convinced American Home Shield to send out a different vendor who spoke English and was a zillion times more helpful! He actually made some power measurements and will try to figure out options. Once the new company completes the job, I will go over to their site and give them a good review!! read more

We needed our washing machine to be serviced and our home warranty company dispatched AZA. The gentleman who arrived was very nice. Yes, he did not speak English well. He was from Ukraine but, he used his translator on his phone. He wasn't rude at all. I think he may just be uncomfortable with his English. At least he is trying. He knew what he was doing. The tech they sent out was rude and does not speak English - not sure if it was Russian.... He wanted all of our communication to be through a translation app. When I called to complain it was with someone who is clearly not in the United States and she would not let me speak with a manager. A disgrace. Don't use these people. First, the tech does not speak English. Why? Like no English, none, nada. Second, like the previous Yelp reviewer left, we were stuck with this company from the start. Again, why? There are plenty of honest repair company's in our area. The real problem. Our door panel failed from the "inside". An "internal failure. The tech, who again, doesn't speak a lick of English, wrote in the diagnosis, that door failed because of non-normal wear and tear. Like I'm going around kicking and abusing my refrigerator. Some janky plastic part failed from the "inside" of the unit. And we broke it. Like who does that? Not me, I can tell you that. I take excellent care of my appliances. Now our warranty company "American Home Shield" will not approve the warranty repair. Why is AHS using people who cant write, read, or speak English diagnose warranty repairs? He looks Russian/European. They might be able to repair an appliance. But they don't know anything about writing reports, accurate ones at that. I'm not sure from where they come from. But these guys are very unusual and difficult to work with.
