I never right reviews of service providers because generally i find them to be anything but honest. This is not the case with Azrikam Price is Right. Bernard, who received my call after two disastrous experiences with Four Season and ABC Heating. First ABC came to my house and took apart my Furnace and decided that they couldn't fix the issue without "cutting a hole in the outside of the steel case that was needed to gain access to the valve that would allow them to check the Freon. He left with the whole AC unit hanging out of the frame. Then I called ABC who strung me along like a puppet for 8 hours before they told me that working 24/7 was for other furnaces and that mine needed an expert who would not be available until the following day. I called and gave them the make and model number of my furnace, its age too, 5 years, so they could send the right tech / specialist if that was necessary and or even told me that guy wasn't available until the following day. Nope, even with all that information I waited an entire day and in the end, at 7PM customer service gave me a call with a BS story about the specialist not being available until tomorrow. What??? A whole additional day? I was not happy so I researched the model number and found thru Google Azrikam. 8PM I called hoping to engage with someone who knew what they were talking about and what I found was THE BEST SERVICE COMPANY EVER! Anchored by the most intelligent man in the HVAC business ever, Bernard. He answered my call even with his household filled with a celebrating family. He asked about the HVAC Unit, the age, the condition and if I could send him photos of the model number and unit with the front doors off. I thought that was nuts but did so. A few minutes later Bernard called again and asked what kind of thermostat I had and the last time I changed the batteries. 5 years ago when the unit was installed. OMG! It was the batteries. He then walked my through putting my HVAC back together over the phone. How many stars can i give him? Hundreds. The calls were free, his diagnosis was right on and i go my AC to work again. The air conditioning unit in our condominium stopped working on Sunday of this past Memorial Day weekend. Since this was a holiday weekend coinciding with the first wave of extreme heat, we were rather pessimistic to find a repairman willing to come and examine the unit within a timely fashion. On Tuesday, we contacted our handyman who provided us with the phone number of a repairman. Not feeling very hopeful, we contacted this person who actually offered to come and inspect the unit on the same day. Unfortunately, the news presented to us was not what we had hoped to hear. The compressor had stopped working and, since this was an older unit, there was no other choice but to replace the air conditioner. While in our presence, the repairman contacted Bernard Azrikam to apprise him of our situation and to check on the possibility of having a new air conditioning unit installed within a reasonable amount of time. Much to our astonishment, Bernard agreed to replace the existing unit on either Wednesday or Thursday of this past week. As we were not familiar with this company, we were initially hesitant to commit to Azrikam's services. However, after reading the many favorable reviews about this company online, we agreed to utilize them and cannot believe our good fortune to have found such a reliable and trustworthy business. Everything that was promised came to fruition and we cannot thank Bernard Azrikam enough for the installation of the new air conditioner this past Wednesday. Azrikam is the only business in Illinois who you should contact! I'm so grateful this business is conveniently located right in Niles, Illinois where i live. The owner Bernard is the only professional, honest, & caring business that not only cares about getting the work done right but establishing a good customer relationship!!! I made a call just this Saturday, around 12 pm in the afternoon, Bernard answered right away & he had a prior plans. Bernard put his plans on hold to come over & see what had to be done!!! They're honestly unbelievable.. THEY'RE GODLY. They're very quick, skilled, and accommodating. They're smart and attentive which makes things easier and helpful. But what makes them very different from others is that they genuinely care about people, they're super considerate and respectful. I've never been so stress free about having someone be in my home to fix things. I know some people go "they're all the same, so call anyone". These guys will not only make things work again, but they'll also make your day or even your week. :) I wouldn't be exaggerating to say I was moved by their work and personality. Stories below (you'll be shocked): - We had just signed the lease and the AC was broken when we moved in. It was over 88 degrees inside. As soon as we contacted them, they responded right away. When they couldn't answer, they gave us a call back asap and any time of the day, they responded. - They squeezed us into their super busy schedule to fix our AC because they knew the weather's gonna be over 100 degrees the next several days, which we didn't even know. - They arrived very early and they offered to pay for my Uber because I wasn't nearby and I was gonna take a bus. I was speachless. I insisted that they didn't pay because I was already so thankful for what they've done. - l'm a germophobe, so I get nervous and stressed having super or others come by because many people refuse or get annoyed when I ask them to take their shoes off. I had a problem where the air handler just wouldn't cycle off unless I turned off the power to my 25 year old furnace. I had a well known local heating company come out and their service tech diagnosed the problem as a bad induction motor. I was quoted over $1000 to replace it. Mind you, this is a fairly small motor (about the size of maybe three tuna cans stacked together), and easily accessible. Thank God I called Azrikam for a second opinion. Fortunately he had just finished a job in the area, and came right away. Nothing wrong with the motor. Basically he made an adjustment inside the thermostat (I had just moved it and must have bumped the setting), and it's been fine ever since. He explained everything very throughly and took the time to respond to some followup texts fairly late on a Friday evening. I liked the fact that he didn't try to just talk me into a new furnace like the first company did. I also appreciate that his phone number (847-409-8699) put me directly in contact with him. So nice not to have to go through a receptionist who just takes a message and maybe somebody will call back. Moreover, I appreciate that he strongly recommended a second carbon monoxide detector in light of the fact that the furnace is quite old. That said, it is of the style (standard 80% efficiency) that has a longer lifespan than the new high-efficiency furnaces. So who knows when I'll have to replace it. But not today, thanks to Azrikam. And when that time comes, he'll definitely be my go-to guy. read more

If you're in a pickle and need someone fast and knowledgeable, Bernard and his team should be on your radar. Bernard has integrity. He doesn't pounce on someone who calls him and tack on all this extra stuff in efforts to take advantage of him. He briefly asked for the issue over the phone. Asked for photos of our unit. When he arrived the next day, he immediately got to work with his colleague (I apologize for not getting his name). They were quickly assessing the situation and asking concise questions to get to the source of our heating issue. He charges for what he does. He doesn't add all this unnecessary stuff, but will gladly suggest future fixes that aren't necessary at this time. It's always awkward when you have a repair man in your home. You never know - do we sit in silence? Do we make awkward small talk? But he immediately assessed that situation and we had a lovely chat (without distracting him). I also have to note that we called him Thursday night (aka Thanksgiving night). We were having trouble with our second floor heat all week and it crapped out the night before. We called Thursday and he came out Friday around 11am and didn't leave until the heat was starting to warm up. He replaced the thermostats, we bled the heat, he replaced a few pieces and was on his way. He even made sure the place was cleaner than before he came. read more

Beyond Perfection!! I had been without heat in my home and knew with Chicago winters I had to act fast!! I was referred to Azrikam by my nephew who was very happy with the company. Happy is an understatement! The company owner, Bernard responded in turbo fast speed to my call and found the time in his busy schedule to stop by the same day. After discussing the extensive job I just knew that a second opinion would be a waste of time. Demolition of the old system happened that day! Not only did he diagnose the problem accurately but offered the most cost-effective solution. I had a nice long conversation with him during the time he was here. He is a very genuine and honest person who is sincerely trying to offer the best to his customers in terms of service and price. This company is one of the companies you hope to find when you are Googling for help. Our a/c broke on a 90 degree day and after calling around and finding out nobody was available for days, weeks or months I found Azrikam. They were busy too but went out of their way to help. First, Bernard spent 20 minutes on the phone with me troubleshooting it and having me try different things to see if he could save me a service call. When we couldn't get it working he figured out which parts I would need so they would have them when they came and rearranged things to work me in the next morning. The next morning Ronny called ahead to let me know when he would be there, he was on time, friendly, courteous, smart and went out of his way to go way above and beyond a normal service call. Ronny had the a/c up and running in under 30 minutes and it was about half the price I was hoping for. I cant compliment them enough. These are now my guys for all future heating and cooling work. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bernard and his HVAC company. I first called him because of all the positive reviews on Yelp when my both of my Mom's A/C units went out this summer. I was fortunate enough that he was able to come out the same day and fix them both for a reasonable price. He walked me through the problem and what was needed to fix it. He didn't do anything unnecessary to fix them both. I had to call him again when my furnace was leaking water. He fixed the clogged drain and told me that if that it didn't dry out he would need to replace the coil. I didn't think it had worked and called him back to replace the coil. He came over and found that unclogging the drain had worked. He could have unnecessarily replaced the coil and I wouldn't have known the difference but Bernard is honest, a straight-shooter and lives out his values. What a gift it has been to me to find him. He came to my house over month ago and looked at my broken air condition and provided HONEST opinion. Either Fix this cheap way and hope that it last 6 months or Replace whole thing because its been set up incorrectly and system itself is 40 years old. I had to make call, and I made right one, I changed entire system. He was prompt and put everything action. Day # 1 , he got things demolished and ordered new system. Day #2, got it installed and checked it out. I am so lucky that I found right guy for the job - who was honest, courteous, professional and man of his word. My furnace stopped working at 8 pm on a Friday night, the first night that freezing temperatures were called for. I spoke with Bernard, and he was out to the house in a little more than an hour. Bernard is friendly, professional, and extremely skilled at his craft. What we thought would be just a simple pilot light problem turned out to be MUCH more complicated; but Bernard had us up and running in about 2 hours. Do you believe in miracles? You should!! ''Twas a hot day, I had an irritable 3 week old baby at home and my air hadn't worked for two days. I couldn't find anyone to come out and with the holiday weekend, my options seemed limited. Bernard was my 4th call and although he wasn't able to come out, he offered to walk me through the process to fix my air conditioning unit. Who does that?!! After some troubleshooting steps (sending pics of my unit and even a video call), he diagnosed my issue, told me where to buy the part AND talked me through installing it. Again, who does this?! /C so i called some compeny from the yellow pages and they came out and looked at the A/C with out checking it out they tolled me that i need a new compressor and motor for the fan . Woke up this morning and attempted to turn the heat up in the house when all of a sudden a loud noise coming from the crawl space alarmed me. I called Azrikman The Price is Right since it was local and had good reviews. Bernard showed up with in the hour and diagnose the problem immediately. He took the time to show me the part needed and ran over to the parts store to pick up. He came back and installed it and within 30 mins, we had heat again! I had been using a different company for my yearly tune-ups for AC and furnace. After seeing Azrikam and Bernard all around my neighborhood I decided to give him a call for my AC tune-up. He was able to help immediately and even took the time to explain what he was doing and how an AC unit actually works- which was interesting. What really stood out was how kind and friendly he is. I have an older system and my previous service company was always playing the fear game that it could cut out at any time and I should buy a new system. Bernard was very honest and assured me that it was working just fine and if anything were to happen he'd be happy to help- but no upsell- which was very refreshing and earned my trust.
