I haven't been here in ages, every time I tried to come they were closed. But finally I got to retry everything. The raw beef laap, if I remember correctly they're the only place in Fresno that sells FRESH beef. Freshly butchered. I don't know if that is true but the beef quality was great. Usually I ask for mild and slightly bitter. (I forgot to ask for it to be slightly bitter) and they made it bitter, too strong but still good nonetheless. (4/5) Goong nampa, I was just craving something refreshing. This was okay. I could definitely do without it. It's 4 or 5 shrimps on top of cabbage and tomato with a spicy sour sauce on the side. A bit pricey. $13. I honestly felt like it was missing something? I'm not sure. (2/5) Eggrolls, these were your basic eggrolls. Little meat, lots of veg (which is the perfect ratio for eggrolls) I know some prefer a lot of meat in their eggrolls but I definitely don't. Super fresh and hot when it came out. Kinda oily though. (3/5) Pad lad na, I enjoyed this a lot. Super tasty. A tad bit bland but they have a ton of seasonings on the table to dress it up. (4.5/5) Overall everything was pretty decent. Nothing too crazy. Considering the location and quantity, price point is a little high. But with everything going up, they have to do what they got to do to stay in business. I would still support considering I'm in the area and craving Lao/thai food, considering it a treat. Kao poon is a must try, very flavorful and thicker noodles which I prefer. Eggrolls are very good but only 4 slim ones for $10. Pork larb was good but was on the saltier side this time I got, for the quantity, not with $18. Thai tea is worth it! I love coming here alllll the time as a regular quick lunch or fun night out with my partner. This place is always quality & the waitress and waiters are wonderful people. Gives great recommendations of their own food and everything they give is exceptional. Also it's always pretty quiet & not to many people are there so it's great for a relaxing lunch/evening. This Lao restaurant so far, comes close to authenticity. The beef intestine soup is probably my favorite on the menu alongside with the rare beef larb. It's a small restaurant with plenty of space between other tables. So it's comfortable to dine in but if it's busy better take it to go but the servings a bit smaller than when you're dining in. The quality is good but the prices are a little on the higher end about $19.99/entree. read more

I have not been to B & K Asian food in a few years because I usually go to Sweet Mango next door. I remembered that they had a really tasty nam tok which is sliced beef with dipping sauce. For our last lunch of 2023, my husband and I dined out and got a Combination Phad Si Ew as well as a Combination Phad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles). They tasted good and hit the spot. Phad Kee Mow was mild as stated on the menu so I did add Sriracha. Phad Thai in Clovis has the best drunken noodles, their prices are about the same- Roughly $17 per plate and their portions are bigger. For these entrees and two canned sodas, it came out to $39 because we used our debit card. The guy serving us was nice. They did renovate, but it's a small restaurant so our waiter heard every word we said. It's not an everyday thing because dining out has become expensive, but I'd come back to try their other menu items. read more

I came here on a ladies lunch date. We walked in around 1:00 pm on a Friday. Their dining area is a decent size for a smaller scale restaurant. They also had upgraded their restroom so now there's a separate male and female restroom. For food, I ordered the Mee Ka Tee while the other ladies ordered Lao fried rice with sour pickled sausages, papaya salad, Tom yum shrimp soup, and Num Yua Beef salad. Everything was delicious! But the top winning savory dishes are the papaya salad, Num Yua Beef Salad, and Lao fried rice with sour pickles sausages. The service was great, too. The waitress was a middle aged lady and she checked on us after taking our orders. She also kindly refilled our water more than three times as we ended up staying there for a couple of hours even after finishing our food. read more

Came here for lunch. Usually I come here for the raw beef laab but I decided to try out a couple dishes. I ordered the beef laab spicy and bitter. It wasn't spicy so was kinda disappointed but it was still tasty. I just wanted the extra punch in the flavor. The next dish is the red chicken curry. I was hoping it tasted more coco nutty but you can definitely taste the extra fish sauce in this dish. Now onto the Lao style beef jerky...it was on point. My favorite go to place for Nam Khao and chicken wings. The wings are a bit pricey but it's the best chicken wing I've ever ate. Best nam khao as well. #1 for chicken wings and nam khao. Nam khao has the perfect texture to my preference. It has a little crispy texture just the way I like it. The nam khao and the chicken wing does take longer so I suggest the you call and order it ahead of time before going to the restaurant so you don't have to wait as long especially if you're running on limited time. If you don't call to order ahead of time, and you order it when you get there, they will let you know that it does take longer for the nam khao and chicken wings, but totally worth the wait. read more

Today's lunch was better than the last time we came service wise. Food is still decent if you are looking for a Lao restaurant that serves some authentic traditional Lao food. We ordered fried chicken wings - very crispy with a hint of sweetness. Ordered chicken laap mild and beef laap bitter medium spice. Both were on the tart side but edible. B&K special papaya Lao style - savory salty side but good balance to the slightly tart dishes ordered. Inside is relatively clean, service form waitresses today was ok. They weren't as attentive but overall wasn't too distant. Tables are a little sticky. We'll probably be back if we don't get home cooked meals at my in laws lol read more

B&K Asian Kitchen remains one of my favorite spots in Fresno. In the past, the hours were not very consistent so it was often hit or miss. I believe it is less the case now. While it is a favorite spot, smaller portions and higher prices than similar restaurants make this one more of a splurge. I can always expect the food to be good. Yum Nua is my favorite dish here. If you're a fan of tender slices of steak with sweet and tangy sauce that is also spicy, this will provide you the burst of flavor you're looking for. I recommend B&K Kitchen. I've never been disappointed with the food but be ready to spend a little more for less than you might get at similar places. read more

This was so nostalgic, The last time I ate here was 10 years ago when I was first introduced to Laos cuisine here in Fresno by one of my best friends Mickey. I was new to the area and she wanted to treat me to her favorite place and this is where she took me. Unfortunately we lost contact. I was new to Fresno so didn't know my way around and forgot to write down the name of the restaurant. But the first time I tasted Laos food I was in hooked! This turned into one of my favorite food addictions, along with Pho :D I spoke with one of the family members there, she was super nice to me and asked me if this was my first time, I told her my story and she was happy to see i found my way back to them. I promised to try to visit them biweekly:) It's a family run business and it's been successful for 30 years! Heck yeah.... I'mma keep supporting them, food is amazing and the service is like family. I only ordered a few things today, the lao sausage and beef jerky with sticky rice, so yummy! I specially luv the tomato base hot sauce they serve with it, it's hard to find a place that uses this sauce. I also placed an order of 3 spring rolls one was all veggies for my Vegan son lol. I'm so happy I ran into this place again and I look forward to going back and trying their whole tilapia curry, and stuffed chicken wings among other things. My husband and I tried this place for the first time this past weekend. Overall we will definitely be coming back. It's a small place. Small parking lot. It is clean and nicely kept inside. With plenty of seating. The staff are attentive, and welcoming. Food is absolutely delicious. The prices are comparable to other Vietnamese/Thai/lao places but the portions are definitely smaller than other noodle places. However,the taste and quality still makes this place very worth it. And it may easily become our new go to place, specially for curry. Lastly, unfortunately they are closed Sunday - Tuesday. . And they have a sign up front that at peak hours wait can be up to 45mins due to low staff. . . We went around 10:30am on Saturday and we were helped and served fairly quickly. read more

This is some the best Thai food in the valley. My wife's favorite restaurant period. Super sad I can't eat there for dinner anymore because of their hours. They close the kitchen down at 5:30pm. Says spicy but very little heat other than jalapeños. Nice subtle coconut flavor, but does miss that extra umph of something. My main gripe was the amount or lack of beef in my meal. One of the dishes that i have yet to perfect is curry!! My sisters and i enjoy curry but it just never comes out correct. I guess it's missing a true chefs touch. Fried fish curry was superb!! My dad was super impressed and commented "fee Muh ku bap mommy" if that's not the best comment i don't know what is! Totally recommend the curry fried fish. Thumb mua always on point just need to incorporate the ka pee more. Both times I've received my order it wasn't stirred in all the way but it's an easily fix. The food here was good. I was a big fan of their papaya salads. They have two kinds. They have a Thai style papaya salad and a Laos style. We got the Laos style because it was apparently more fishy, which we love. It was so good and I am so glad I got it. I also got a Pad Thai and I was a little disappointed. It was good, but I felt like it could use a little bit more tanginess. When I mixed the papaya salad into my Pad Thai it tasted great, but without the papaya salad it felt bland. The servers were super nice and attentive. They made sure they came by often. Also, the portion size was huge, so that was good I guess. I ordered takeout the other day, just a simple order of beef larb, sticky rice, and Thai tea. Let's start with pricing. An order of beef larb is almost $20. I know inflation has gotten the best of a lot of places, but the size and quality for the price is outrageous. The larb filled only half of the to-go container, and the other half was rough chopped cabbage, a couple slices of cucumber, and a single slice of lime. The larb itself was very, very salty. The salt overpowered the herbs I was expecting to taste in a traditional larb dish. I could not even cover the taste of salt with the lime given. The sticky rice, while it was a decent portion, was slightly under cooked. Undercooked rice can cause gas and isn't as soft and fluffy as it should be. For a Thai restaurant, I would expect perfectly cooked sticky rice as it is a staple in their country. The Thai tea was alright. It's really hard to screw up Thai tea. Overall, poor experience and a waste of money. read more

I took my mom & 6 aunties to celebrate at this restaurant for Mother's Day. We were ignored for 5 minutes before they seated us. We were ignored another 10 minutes before I stood up to go ask if a waitress can come & take our order. Oh my lawd we wait another half hour before our food came out. All the food items that we ordered were super tiny! 7 entrees & each one was so tiny. It was such an embarrassment for me because my aunties came from out of town & State. The fact that the portions were only a few bits, this really embarrassed me. The waitress didn't even come check up on us to refill our drinks & my hubby still tip $20.
