I discovered Toyotek from their long history of positive reviews. Called up Alex and he explained…read moreright away what type of service I needed, what it entails, pricing and timeline. Smooth process all around here! The price he quoted me for my fairly extensive job was dang near the exact price I paid at the end. My 28 year old truck desperately needed some love and Alex took care of it! I'm handy myself but with a busy work schedule some jobs I leave to the pros to get it done fast and right the first time. Got some new valve cover gaskets, timing belt/water pump combo and a new radiator on my 3.4L. This is truly where you need to bring your Toyota! He's experienced, trusted and reliable.

My only gripe as a very amateur DIYer was for a starter replace on my Sienna, they quoted me $500 and change. 15 minutes later I was on my way to pick up a denzo from a local Toyota dealership that ended up costing me about $200 after the core refund. Changing this starter cost me a ten minute YouTube video and about 20 minutes of work. A ratchet, an extender, and three metric sockets. Bananas. This repair was easier and cleaner than an oil change. I get it that it's a shop. I get that not every starter is going to be this easy, but you can walk over to a parking stall with the new starter and bang out two or three of these per hour if you're a professional. If you need quality Toyota parts quick, this is your next best thing to a dealership.

HOWEVER, I brought my car to their shop initially for a rotor and brake pad replacement. I picked up my car and only a few days later the car started making grinding noises. I took it back to them and they assured me that the brakes were fine. No issues. But the car continued to make noise. So I had them replace the wheel bearings because I thought this was the issue. Still the car was grinding. I finally took it back and asked them to look at it. They said "you must've bought cheap parts off Amazon" because my wheel bearing was busted again. In only a month. Well I was upset and stormed out and said "whatever man" because I was not getting the proper help and one of the mechanics followed me to my car and shouted at me "You GOT A PROBLEM WITH ME?!?" and he stood in front of my driver's side door and gestured at me to fight him. It was a scary and insane experience. The owner called me and apologized for the employees behavior which I appreciate but that was all. He then told me maybe I need an alignment. Well, the grinding continued and only got worse. So I took my car to Firestone auto care. They found the issue. They told me that the driver's side rotor wasnt properly tightened and they were surprised the wheel didn't completely come off. So the initial rotor and brake replacement I had done at Martinez and sons was the issue and when I took it back because of the grinding they simply told me "No, nothing wrong with the brakes. Everything looks good. I doubt they even pulled the brakes off because how do you not notice the rotor isn't properly tightened down. And because of this, many other things were damaged. I had to get resurfaced rotors, new brake pads, new wheel hub and bearings. In total I had to pay 1,400 dollars but now the car actually drives great. This is on top of the initial 900 I spent at Martinez and sons trying to fix THEIR issue which they didn't catch. I no longer recommend this place to anyone after everything I went through with them.
