I have been in Stony brook for residency for 3 years and my all time go to favorite place is B Hair, I do not trust anyone else here with my beautiful long hair!!!!! I have a lot and very long hair that I get done every week and I come to B Hair to wash and blow it out during my lunch break. The owner Bowen is the nicest, most accommodating person with impeccable skill with hair as well as excellent customer service. He goes above and beyond to take care of his customers and ensure a happy outcome. My hair blown out lasts me a whole week and looks amazing for many days to follow. I went here for a Japanese Hair Straightening Treatment and couldn't be more impressed. The staff is very welcoming and I was surprised I was able to get an appointment on such short notice (I scheduled the morning of the treatment). The hairdresser and manager were so hardworking and patient with my hair, which was refreshing since most hairdressers usually have a difficult time with my hair and tend to rush trying to get it done faster. The treatment was very tedious and took around 4-5 hours, but thanks to the staff I felt relaxed throughout the process. So far I've had the perm for a week and I washed my hair, and I'm happy to say it's still in perfect condition. I definitely recommend going to this salon, all of the workers are very professional, patient, and friendly! read more

They completely messed up my hair, it would have been understandable if the barber had taken a look at the style I wanted and just said he was unable to do the cut. I asked the barber to layer my hair and he didn't even do that, just took a pair of scissors and cut aimlessly at the side of my head. Seriously, I'm not sure if these guys even have a license to cut hair. Totally stole my money from me and now I have to wait a few months before I can even think about getting my hair fixed. read more

Blonde? This is your place! Side note: they're open on Sunday which is so nice. They take more time w your hair than any salon I've ever been to. Insanely thorough and the most "natural" looking blonde highlights I've ever had (and I've been to at least 30 salons over the years).
