For my dinner I got the hot lobster roll and it was the best lobster roll I have ever had. There are 3 ingredients in it and they all taste amazing together. Our family had a great dinner at B2 in PP. Ordered calamari and octopus special for starters. The calamari was tender, yet perfectly crispy. The Octopus was cooked to perfection, complimented with delicious toast and pine nuts - what a combo!! Had a Burger, Fettucine and claims, fish and chips for the second course. Burger was very juicy, and the fish was so fresh it melted in the mouth. The sauce for the pasta had a great flavor! Our server was wonderful, very attentive and all the drinks and food courses came out on time. Overall, a wonderful experience. I ordered fish tacos which were requested to be blackened last night. I can say with hand on heart that I've never experienced the level of food poisoning I've endured for the last 12+ hours. Starting with explosive diarrhea all the way to vomiting with the intensity of a grizzly bear screaming every hour, on the hour for 6 straight hours. The fish must have been bad before they even cooked it and still ended up serving it. If you're looking to lose 15lbs overnight this is the place for you! If not, I'm sure there is a cleaner meal in a dumpster out back. read more

What a pleasant surprise. My wife and I were looking for something a little bit nicer but still low key and casual and decided to give this place a shot instead of going to Charlie's. What a great call! When we walked in the place gave a bit of a gastropub vibe, music was loud and the decor was very dark. We waited for a table upstairs and it was worth the wait. Really nice ambiance upstairs. I was impressed by the beer list, I'm a big fan of Kane's offerings and they made my wife a pretty dang good mojito. I read that this was a tapas place, but I didn't really feel like small plates were really the focus here. They had some shareable plates sprinkled throughout the menu, but that was it. We started with some oysters and sushi rolls and my wife got scallops and I had the swordfish. Everything was tremendous! The presentation of the oysters was conscientiously done and the sushi was very nice, but the entrees really shined. My wife's scallops were seared correctly and the risotto was creamy and nicely seasoned. The swordfish really was a homerun. The cook on it was perfect, not even a smidgen over, which I feel like happens too often with swordfish. Everything was a smash. The dessert was the only let down. We had key lime pie and it was just ok. The bill was very reasonable. Fine dining quality food at watering hole prices. Overall, food and experience were good as always. We started by splitting a ceasar salad and the calamari. The calamari was perfectly cooked with clean new oil and served with a sweet yet spicy kick sauce. The ceasar was good but could have used more dressing or flavor. For entrees, we got the tuna poke bowl and the Margherita pizza. The tuna poke bowl was fresh and flavorful. While it comes with poke sauce, we got spicy mayo as well. The portion seems small because the bowl is quite large. The pizza was crispy, thin, and hot. Putting the food aside, the service wasn't the best. Maybe its because theyre understaffed due to limited capacity, but our server was aloof and we had to remind him that we wanted to order entrees. Food is ok. Burger was under seasoned and had no flavor. The grilled chicken was over cooked and chewy. Very overpriced and the waitstaff was way too short for a holiday weekend. Be warned they do charge for every club soda and soda refill. The waiter offered multiple refills on our club sodas and cokes for the kids. The waiter never told us we get charged for each drink and our total for soft drinks came out to $27. When we asked him why other B2 bistros don't charge for refills he said that each one is different. The manager was not available to speak with as he was helping in the kitchen. Just co-hosted my daughter-in-law's baby shower at B2 in Point Pleasant! This was my third event that I have had there. Let me start with Samantha, the General Manager, who was extremely helpful! Right from the start she was professional, informative and friendly. She also was very accessible and calming when we were stressing over details. She promised to make our day perfect and she did. Bar tender and servers were exceptional and pleasant as well. Any request was addressed immediately. We had the plated luncheon which was impressive. Their salmon and braised short ribs were delicious and served elegantly. The room upstairs is perfect for a celebration...warm feeling and pretty view of point town. I liked the bar area, however noise flows over to the dinning area since it is one open room and it gets very loud. The drinks were very good and our waitress was great. Three for dinner and one had a pizza, another had an avocado bowl and I had the special soft shell crab scampi. The food was very good but I feel overpriced for what you got. My dinner was $35.00. It was tasty. Mashed potatoes with vegetables with two small soft shell crabs. The vegetables were on top of the crabs and mashed potatoes under. I actually thought I only got one crab and realized the second was underneath the other. They weren't very meaty at all. The scampi sauce was good. I was disappointed because I was at another restaurant where they served colossal soft shell crabs that were amazing for less money. Really should have listen to the yelp reviews, many stated they felt the food was overpriced and portions were small. We were excited to try B2 Bistro in Point Pleasant as we love their sister restaurant in Red Bank. We started with the crab cake and the octopus. The crab cake was EXCELLENT!! We were raving over it our entire meal! The octopus over cous cous was sadly disappointing. The octopus was too chewy and the cous cous was dry and bland. For entrees we had the mako shark special and the filet mignon over crab risotto. The mako shark was very good, and they gave us a nice size piece too. The filet mignon we requested medium well, but it was served well done and burnt at the edges. The crab risotto it came with was delicious, but it was served too cool in temperature. For dessert we ordered the bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream and the peanut butter pie. Both were delicious!!! The peanut butter pie was my favorite one! I hope they never take the peanut butter pie off the menu that's how good it was! We didn't find this location to be as good as the Red Bank location, but it's fairly new so hopefully one day it will be. However, we did enjoy the desserts here much better than it's sister location. We will definitely come back to try some other dishes again, and I recommend dining here as well! read more

Usually a good experience but tonight was the pits. Very crowded so the hostess told us the upstairs bar was open but never said you have to order at the bar. So we decided to give it a go and ended up sitting at a high top for at least 10 minutes before going up to the bar to order drinks. My hubby got his quick but mine was taking a while so I went up to bar (almost 10 min) and was told he was still looking for an ingredient for it. Decided to pass and said our goodbyes. It was so disappointing, especially cause it was our first choice because I wanted a nice/special cocktail but instead got terrible customer service.... Rooftop was nice to sit outside but the wait was long. Over an hour so we had to sit at the bar and get a drink. Downstairs is very nice atmosphere wise. Lucky for us we found B2 Bistro & Bar and their ALL DAY happy hour:) Had great lunch and we let the girls go shopping while my buddy and I caught up. I have to say what made our visit to B2 so special was our waitress Gullies (the yoga girl). She gave us some recommendations on the menu and the great selection of IPA beers that were spot on!! She didn't mind that we were sitting there either for 3 hours. She just seemed to know when to stop by the table. We will defiantly ask for her next time we go. The Bar is very airy and new. Very hot humid midweek afternoon late August parked for free in muni lot. 2 of us sat in back where AC was on, yet totally useless w/ doors & windows open and flies buzzing everywhere. We had raw oysters, "crafted" martini, Crab Cake Club (terrible garlic mayo), & Lobster Roll which was all just medicore in taste and small portions. Place was empty, yet lunch was way overpriced, servers treated us as though we were interrupting their chat! They never once checked on us and I had to ask the bartender to find her. I love coming to B2 when we are in town. We didnt get our favortie server, Andrea but, we saw her serving next to us. She is a wonderful, sweet, kind server. Apparently there was a problem with the tables sushi coming out late. They called over the manager who proceeded to yell at Andrea right in front of the customers. It was horrible. I do not know who that very tall, bleach blonde woman is but, she has t go. It was hard to watch and no one deserves that. That manager made the whole night for us and others around us, very uncomfortable. The reason for the 5 stars is the servers and the food, not the manager. Get rid of her. We recently had our son's 1st birthday party here and everything was amazing!! This is our third party we have held at B2 over the last few years as we love the restaurant, atmosphere and location. I had some hesitation booking our party here at first because my previous two parties were run by a different event manager who was not very friendly or detail oriented. I was pleasantly surprised to see someone new was now running events, Sam, and she was so amazing and helpful throughout the entire process! I was always able to get a hold of her and she as well as the staff even helped me decorate the hour before the party as well as dealt with a bunch of messy little ones with smiles on their faces! Visited B-2 Bistro last night and had two really good burgers some very messy looking tuna nachos and an avacado stuffed with some chopped crab meat. Everything was passable nothing notable, except for the margarita which was totally sour mix and a hint of tequila. No bueno. Almost everything on the menu has an upgrade charge and the margarita came with an upgraded charge for a tequila that I did not order. Service is very good but a little slow. read more

Oh how I loved this place in the past. Food is still excellent. 3 apps, 4 entrees, and a dessert and everything was delicious. The problem was the kitchen. Some ordered sushi, some ordered other. The steak and burger came out a good 20 minutes before the sushi. I ate the steak because it was hot; my wife let her burger get cold rather than eat without the kids. We complained about the delay and we were told "the menu clearly states that there are two separate kitchens and sushi may come out at a different time." I studied the menu and didn't see that disclaimer. But let's assume they Telegraph their incompetence. Why can't they prepare the sushi first and hold it until the hot food is ready? Are you in the restaurant business or the clown car business? The manager's insipid explanations fell far short of all we wanted--an honest apology. Instead, the manager basically said this is how we roll at B2. Shame because the food far exceeds the inept management. read more

I love this place, love the staff. Paul is the absolute best. The food is great with a seasonal menu. The restaurant has a great ambience. The only problem is if you are any where near the front of the restaurant in the winter, bring a coat. They don't have a vestibule so every time to door opens, there is a gust of cold air. It really limits quality space at the bar. People are sitting at the bar with jackets on and friends just left because it was too cold. read more

My fiancé and I went to B2 Bistro last night and I was really impressed with the food and atmosphere. The new owners really turned the place around. The renovations were beautiful! Let me tell you the sushi was so good and so fresh!! We had the volcano tuna roll it was amazing. The spicy vegetarian roll and the spicy tuna roll! It was all so fresh and delicious. We also started with the seaweed salad and the fried calamari was to die for !! We will be back soon. read more
