I recently hosted my future daughter-in-law's bridal shower at B2 Bistro in Point Pleasant! The event coordinator, Amanda, was very easy to work with. The room was perfect - the semi private room on the first floor - and the wait staff the day of the event was excellent! Highly recommend for a small private party!

The steak was cooked to perfection--tender, flavorful, and exactly how I ordered it. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The staff was just as impressive: friendly, attentive, and made the whole meal even better. Great service, great food, and a place I'll definitely be coming back to.

Chic bar vibe, professional service and great food. We were a party of 6. We ordered the spicy tuna nachos, Caesar salad and clams For apps; all were very good. For dinner my wife had the short ribs. They were flavorful and perfectly done. Most of us had the truffle lobster risotto special . It' was outstanding. The cocktails were well done also. This restaurant is handicapped accessible. I recommend this restaurant.

First time at B2 in Point Pleasant. The place was lively on a Saturday night despite the terrible weather. We were seated promptly without a reservation. Cozy atmosphere for casual date or large groups. We ordered the spicy bang bang shrimp, surf and turf and regular burger. The shrimp is doused in sauce creating a flavorful experience that can easily feed multiple people. The surf and turf called for an even saucier dish. While your hands will likely be covered in this burgers contents for the majority of your dining experience, if you enjoy a little novelty in your burgers, this is for you. I definitely enjoyed the combination!

The dining room is boisterous and lively, making it a great environment where both families and adult parties seemed to be having a wonderful time. For drinks and appetizers, I started with a lychee martini and ordered the crab cake appetizer as my entree. While the flavor was good, I've honestly had better crab cakes elsewhere. My fiancé ordered the surf and turf, which was perfectly prepared. The real stars of the meal, though, were the sides and dessert. We ordered the roasted brussels sprouts and the baked mac and cheese, and we both absolutely LOVED our sides. To wrap up the night, we dived into the peach cobbler special--it was incredible, and I would easily go back just for that! Overall, it was a fantastic evening with great energy, amazing sides, and a standout dessert.

I started with French onion soup which was sooooo salty. Flavor strong but salty. My Partner got the crab cake. They did enjoy that. So I got the main entree of filet tip carbonara. The meat was cooked well which I was okay with but should have been medium well. The pasta sauce again saltier than would like. I guess this is why there is no salt and peppers shakers on the table lol. My Partner got the skirt steak and fries. Again he enjoyed both but prefers his own marinade. Bottom line this place is more than your average place cost wise. Knowing how to cook and get a piece of filet mignon for $14.00 at ShopRite and a skirt steak for $25 at best and do it yourself doesn't justify the cost. The atmosphere was ok little dark, we did get a nice corner table. Otherwise tight seating. Our server was super polite and gracious for our tip. So overall if you have money to spend on okay food you won't be disappointed. Would I come back? no.

Today we were asked to leave because my disabled husband has a service dog that alerts him when he has an episode. This is a legitimate trained service dog. For eight years, she has accompanied him everywhere: doctors, dentist, outpatient surgery, hospital and nursing home visits, banks, restaurants, commercial passenger flights. Her behavior today was exemplary. She has a defined space she remains in, and the only time she makes a noise is if she needs some water or to go outside, or if her person is having an episode. The bartender was polite about stating that the new owner is firm on animals being a health risk. I'm fairly certain the manager on duty actually made the decision. The owner has been in the industry for decades, and should be versed in the Americans with Disabilities Act, which they just violated. It's only federal law, after all. If a guest purports to have a service dog, and the dog behaves inappropriately, the establishment has every right to refuse service. But blanket refusal is a serious violation and can result in fines. Plus, you are doing a disservice to your employees by training them incorrectly. Two more bars out of our rotation, because they own the Windward in Brick as well.

We went out to eat twice while there, once for dinner and once for lunch. I will review both places using this as my intro to the reviews. For dinner, we ate at Jack Baker's Wharfside, which I also see listed as The Wharfside Seafood & Patio Bar. Frankly surprised it has very average ratings, as I would not say that was our experience on Tuesday night, August 4, 2026. It was reasonably busy and likely explains the somewhat slow service. We were 4 adults and a toddler. We had a few cocktails; all were reasonably good and fairly priced. There were also a few glasses of wine with the meals from a decent, but not extensive list. Everyone had seafood, including the toddler, which included the spicy garlic shrimp appetizer that was a crowd pleaser, and main courses that consisted of snow crab, mussels, shrimp, scallops, and lobster. i was the only one to have the lobster bisque, which I thought exceptional, as it had a creamy consistency and loaded with lobster chunks. There were no complaints though about any of the dishes and we were all happy customers. The prices were reasonable considering the fare and the location, especially as the patio featured a live band, We dined on the patio, but far away from the band, so the music level was pleasant, having seen some reviews suggesting it can be a bit much. It would be hard to complain though about the scenery, as the patio faces a calm channel that leads out to sea. All in all it was very a successful evening. I felt this rated a solid 4, understanding some would rate it a 5, but difficult to understand why anyone would place it lower than a 3.

If you are coming later in the season, I would try to reserve. First up -- some nice slices of warm crusty Italian bread and butter. I ordered a cocktail special - the Kelle Belle (or similar) which reminded me of a Pimm's cup. La Portena had her usual Riesling -- no complaints. Lobster bisque was one of the hits, the typical rich broth, with the not so typical actual lobster meat - small bits to be sure, but so often there is no lobster at all. We also shared a lobster roll as a starter - it was good but I would have preferred larger chunks of meat - the roll was accompanied by some tasty tortilla chips. Next up, a complimentary salad - this was fine. I ordered soft shell crabs - they were perfectly fried meaty specimens but the french fries and cole slaw seemed like afterthoughts- the plating was haphazard. La Portena's flounder stuffed with crabmeat was a better plate overall. Two fresh small filets, stuffed with a savory filling and some good mashed potatoes. The glass of New Zealand sauvignon blanc I chose to accompany the crab had the strongest grapefruit nose I have ever experienced. I know these always taste of grapefruit, but this wine was over the top. No room for dessert. Our server was warm and pleasant, and the entire experience transported me back to shore dinners with my parents in the 70s. I would return.

When we arrived at about 5:40pm the place was packed so it took a few minutes for us to get seated, but no biggie because we didn't make a reservation (if you're here in the beach season, it's a MUST). We got seated in the bar area, but it was right by the window so it was a fantastic seat. Only down side was there was a guy playing music right next to us, but he wasn't super loud so it was fine. Our server, Matthew, was over fairly quickly to take our drink orders. Wifey ordered a Ruby Spritz and I had the French Pear. Both were delicious. For our appetizers my wife started with baked clams and I ordered the Drunk and Angry clams (steamers with lager and cherry peppers) and like the drinks, both were excellent. I was really happy with mine as the level of spiciness was perfect. We also ordered two white sangrias with dinner. Server suggested getting a pitcher if we were going to have more to a one, but we had a bit of a drive and didn't want to chance it. Great job on his part. My wife ordered the Crab Stuffed Flounder - very rich and tasty, but two plates of stuffed food was a little too much. I ordered the Pistachio Crusted Halibut special with jasmine rice, bok choy, and a lemon sauce. WOW it was great. The halibut was ever so slightly overcooked, maybe 60 seconds, but the FLAVOR was amazing. I love bok choy so this dish was a home run. We were too full for dessert, so that was it. We really loved this place and our server, Matthew, was great - friendly and engaging. I would 100% return and try another entree here.

We opted to sit at the bar because the vibe looked good. I had a lemondrop martini from the half price menu and it was good but a little too sweet. Then I had the Blood Sugar Sex Magic from the regular menu and it was unique and fun. I then had an espresso martini with dessert. I was feeling good after that. We did three appetizers: hummus, falafel, and the halloumi. The hummus had a nice texture but it could have used a little more lemon and garlic. But it was served with a jumble of fresh herbs on top which was very nice. The falafel was amazing. The texture was perfect: very crispy on the outside and light and fluffy inside. Not like the dense falafel you get in some places. It was serviced on top of a delicious red pepper sauce. The server told me it was an old family recipe. The halloumi was fantastic. Very generous and covered in a very crispy coating. It sat in a pool of hot honey. They brought the appetizers out one at a time, which was the perfect way to pace it. We were pretty full by the end so we shared one entrée. We had the lamb kofta. It was cooked perfectly and sat atop a pomegranate labneh. It was also delicious. For dessert my husband had the chocolate cake which was only ok. I had the baklava malabi which was sooo delicious. Great meal and excellent service.
