Came for dinner on a Friday night with my mom. We were seated in a corner high top table near the window. My mom doesn't really like high tops but we weren't given a choice so we just settled in. The ambiance is nice here and service was very good. We were struggling though with the amount of flies. As we were eating flies were all over the place and we had to keep waving them away. For the food I got the salmon and she got the scallops. They were both cooked well but the scallops were the better dish. We both didn't really care for the pancetta in the risotto. It overwhelmed the dish. I would potentially come back and try again but probably better options around. If I made another reservation o would ask for the top deck. read more

The food was OK nothing spectacular for the pricing that they charged I got the sushi sampler which was decent quality fish. The only thing is how do you put imitation crab legs on a sushi sampler? I mean that just took the place right down the tubes for me, the ambience was very nice service fair. Long wait, but the worst part was the food. Several of us had the crab pasta and the crab must have just been just thrown on top of the pasta because it was all cold. The sauce under crab had no flavor and the pasta was barely warm. My daughter had a veggie wrap which she said tasted weird and her sweet potato fries looked a week old. It was very busy when I came and the hostesses were not the most helpful. I found a place at the bar. The bartender was very busy and overworked so they had a hard time keeping up. It was difficult to get her attention especially after the food initially came. The food presentation was very good but did not taste the best. The crab cake in the crab cake club was nothing special. The polenta fries were severely lacking in flavor. We love b2bistro!! This was our second time visiting with 8 people including 4 kids and everyone enjoyed their meal. We had the bang bang shrimp, tuna nachos and mussels to start and everything was fantastic. Pro tip, ask for extra bread with the mussels. The sauce is delicious! The kids had pizza and chicken tenders and loved it so much we had to order a second round! For our mains, we had sushi, the surf and turf burger and the crab cake sandwich. All amazing! Great drink selection with some local beers. Melissa was our server and she was amazing. So personal and attentive. This place had potential. Lovely space, nice vibe. I really wanted to love it. I ordered the fish tacos and was a little disappointed when they arrived drenched in some kind of cream sauce. I mean drenched. I could have lived with it. What I couldn't live with was the fact that, when the live music started, I literally had to scream at the top of my lungs to have a conversation with my husband and friends. Live music at a concert should be loud. Live music at a small dining establishment should be background, not so intrusive as to make it impossible to carry on a conversation. Even my Apple watch flashed a warning that the decibel level could cause me hearing loss. At the risk of sounding like my Mom, turn it down!! Please! Recently had dinner here early(ish) on a Saturday. Ate just off the bar at a low-top table, thankfully away from the door where the cold air would come in with every patron. Just had beer so can't comment of the cocktails, but the food was excellent. She crab soup was phenomenal. Tacos were made gluten free with lettuce wraps. Very tasty just a little messy. We have been coming here for years. This time, we had a waiter who caused us to never return for our 2x/week lunch. The waiter was staring and very closely pointing at our food with his finger, as if something was wrong while talking to a manager. When we asked what was wrong, he went, what we felt, was berserk! He literally was yelling at us and being very hostile. The manager was no help until he did the same to her. Then, and only then, did she send him home. This was handled poorly and unprofessionally, allowing this waiter to escalate his actions into a scene. The waiter and manager turned a course of events into us feeling unsafe. read more

Really wanted to love this place heard a lot of hype for it. They didn't live up to it. Understaffed and not accommodating. We ordered a clam pizza which came with barely any clams and way underdone. They did take it back and give up a margarita pizza which was prepared same way. Ordered bunch of sushi which was very fresh and well prepared Brussel sprouts were amazing Drunken clams was great. So much flavor and broth was very tasty. Roasted corn hummus was a huge portion with so many sides everyone was digging in. Atlantic lobster roll was full of lobster and toasted good. 2 orders of pan roasted scallops and both dishes the scallops were way over done. Smoke roasted chicken was really good . Swiss chard was cooked old school. I ordered cold smoked pork chop. It was smoked with expresso and was very moist and temp was spot on . Mashed hominy was so good but not enough. If you want to hold a conversation when they have live music, this is not the place to go. Last night 4 of us tried and failed to have a dinner here. We barely were able to order drinks with our nice and friendly server. after having to scream our orders at her, she apologized for the loud volume. We had our drinks, and went elsewhere for dinner. The menu looked great, but we will not be going back. There are way to many other places to take our business. If you want to hold a conversation, stay away!! read more

I've been to their Shrewsbury location but never knew this one existed! So glad i do now! Our server Jennifer was awesome! She was very helpful as we decided to pick out our lunch options and fully attentive during our meal. B2 is set right on Arnold Avenue with big windows that open out to the street bringing in the fresh air of the day. It was Memorial Day weekend and what a gorgeous day it was. There was live music playing and a great crowd. Our food choices were excellent. We wanted some appetizers and drinks so the Sunday happy hour menu was just perfect. There's a huge menu to pick from and we got some winners. The Avocado Boat my husband LOVED. I got to taste it and it was delicious. We shared a scrumptious cheese burger which was cooked to perfection. Finally a restaurant to s able to cook your burger to order and get it cooked right, Medium" just how we like it! Yum! Amazing quality meat too. I had 1/2 dozen oysters which were just OK, the only let down from the meal. They didn't taste that great and were beyond small. There were both West Coast and East Coast options. Their menu is huge with tons of sushi options, seafood, great looking salads, steaks and lots of great side options. Deserts looks great too but we were so full. The drinks were also delish as they had a great wine and cocktail menu. Lively bar crowd and ample parking across the street. Very cute place on the main drag with other surrounding bars and restaurants. Started with the pretzel which was smokin hot and fresh and had Mac and cheese with short rib. Yum!!! Waaaay too expensive! Decor is great, service was too. Drinks were above average, food was average at best. But here's the kicker, $276 (including a 20% tip) for a family of four! We had humus and wings as appetizers. My wife had a tuna poke bowl, my son had a sushi role, my daughter had clams and I had grilled chicken pesto pasta. We also had 3 drinks and two desserts between us. That's almost $70 per person for a very mediocre meal. If we were in the city, maybe, but in Point Pleasant, comon! That's a one and done for us. Our mini Yelp group went to B2 early in May and we had a mixed experience. The space is nicely decorated and we sat near the kitchen at a long high top table. Our waiter had no idea what beers were available and getting a beer list from the bar was difficult. We were there during Happy Hour but I don't think we actually received any kind of discount. Happy hour burgers were $15 and $16.50 so I am afraid to see regular prices! We originally ordered some pizzas only to be told that they we not available. Too much confusion!!! We shared and order of clams and an order of mussels and they were quite good. All in all it was a good experience but only worthy of 3 stars because of the libation confusion. We were in town for business and B2 Bistro + Bar was highly recommended from the marina we were working with. I ordered a House Margarita, it was very good. For my meal, I ordered the Spicy Honey Chicken Sando and a side salad. The sandwich was really good, the salad was ok, not worth the extra $7 though. My dinner companion got the Hydro Bibb Salad and the Chicken Wings for his meal and there was NOTHING left so I will assume he enjoyed it. lol I also ordered a Nightcap. I got the PB & K. That is a Screwball Peanut butter whiskey, Bailey's and Kaluha. It. Was. So. So. Good. This was specifically recommended this by the employee where I was working and she was absolutely correct. This B2 Bistro location is always a go to for me. The food is always so great and the vibe is always so great. Service can be really hit or miss honestly but making a reservation is the way to go to get in and out easily. They have great cocktails and usually don't skimp on them. Great for big parties or intimate occasions. Sushi is subpar but their other food is amazing. If you like Brussels sprouts I highly recommend theirs! I get them every time I go. Amazing. Stopped in here for a drink before going out to dinner with a couple friends. It was a Thursday night in august, it was very busy but we found four seats together at the bar. Parking on the street and in various parking lots is free. Lots of nice shops on the street if you feel like walking around, shopping , or just window shopping. The bartenders were fast and professional. They had no time for small talk or jokes, if you enjoy that banter. It's efficient and a good atmosphere to chat w friends. They have outdoor seating also. Love B2, it has a diverse menu that can definitely appease any kind of dietary restriction or mood. I love the salmon dish with the crispy kale; it is truly divine. My husband always gets the b2 burger, which he loves. They're drinks are so creative, I usually get the bees knees (delish). Last time we got sushi and it hit the spot. B2 is a pretty popular spot so make reservations! Some of the food can be a little pricey - so just be aware. They have a private room for parties that looks awesome. read more

6 of us went yesterday for a late lunch/early dinner. We ordered fish tacos, crab sandwich, pasta bolognese, and I think short rib sandwiches. Most of us ordered either a cocktail or wine, and we had seconds. We ordered 2 desserts to share and a couple of us had cappuccino. With tip it was $70/head. Our waitress was great. She gave us excellent service. There was a full dessert left over that I meant to take and shucks! I forgot it. So I called to see if by some miracle it was still there. Mike got busy and forgot I was holding but then he called later that night! I was shocked! Nobody does that! I told him I was just calling to see if my drool worthy chocolate cake was still there and of course it was long gone in the garbage. But, Mike the manager said "no problem! Stop by tomorrow and I'll give you another piece of cake and a gift card, and then he said "I'll give you dinner if you want! I said wow! Thank you so much but all I want is the cake but thank you for your generosity! And when I came in he came out to meet me and he was so friendly and personable! I'm very impressed with how Mike manages. We owned restaurants for 25 years and these days it's rare for a manager or an owner to be so so nice. I'm leaving NJ soon for good but I'll make it back one more time to show my appreciation. And Mike did slip in a gift certificate into the bag with my cake! Thank you Mike and thank you B2 Bistro.
