Today I took my mom here for lunch. For years I have been trying to get her to try their Chopped Chicken Salad. She eats salads at home all the time so she is usually burnt out. She also was born in the 50s and like us she doesn't really get out. Today she was up for an adventure and I was so tickled. Once she saw the price was 15.00 for a salad her jaw dropped and she refused. She said she csn get one to go down the street for way less. I told her she needs to get out and try this one! We rarely get out and she hasn't had a vacation in over 20 years a 15.00 salad is nothing. It was my treat anyways! I am always using Yelp for her mainly for trustworthy service repair businesses. Today it was food! I finally broke her. Plus don't us kids start parenting our parents once we are 8? Haha She picked hers salad as is minus the cucumber. I had my usual. Oh did she enjoy! It was worth it! My mom can cook! So that is a compliment! She loved it! Something yummy in every bite! Not one item in that salad was there to give her any guilt. Will provided awesome customer service! I was surprised I had given them 3 stars in the past. Today I wanted to boost it up but I got terrible chicken. A tough breast and full of grizzle. If it is hard to cut then it is probably going to be harder to eat!?! I have had over 20 salads at this location alone and even more at their previous location before they had moved down the street and never has this happened. My mom only had a couple tough pieces. This was one of my favorite places to go but the service lately has been lacking. I would say for at least the last year now. Yesterday we went in to try the new pasta dishes. There was no host/hostess (this is the norm) so we just went and sat up at the bar. There was no bartender. We were the only ones at the bar. We waited and waited thinking maybe the bartender was just helping with a table or something. Nope, waited some more. Nobody ever came and nobody ever even acknowledged us. There were drink tickets coming out of the machine but there was nobody there to make them. It was weird. We finally just got up and left. Not sure it we will be back due to the staffing issue at the location. Not good practice to not even acknowledge the customers. read more

Very disappointed in the service food and overall experience. I waited 15 minutes at the bar and finally asked someone if there was a bartender working. Eventually someone came and after asking for a menu which wasn't ever offered me took my order. I was never offered bread or anything. He brought my wine but never poured it in my glass just brought the bottle and left. When my food finally arrived it was cold because it had been sitting so long and I never got bread until I finally asked again. Never checked on me once finally asked someone else for my bill. Waited again to pay. I always believe in tipping generously and this is the first time I've ever gone out and did not want to leave a tip. read more

Their appetizers were great! Got the grilled asparagus and deep fried mozzarella balls forgot the exact name of them but they were delicious! The food is pretty good too and had great customer service. One thing I would have them change is the choice of music. It would be better to have some Italian music playing to fit the ambiance but when we went they had some radio pop music. Didn't match the mood/ ambiance. read more

Used to work here a while back. Ordered takeout pretty good expect they definitely cut the portions down. They also throw the takeout in plastic containers now instead of tin, which is a lil dissapointing to me. Kinda downgrading from the takeout side, im sure dinning is is different. We came in for dinner pretty late. We waited for about 45 minutes until we got a table. So I would highly recommend to make a reservation in advance. I ordered Zoodles which are noodles made of Zuchini and it was ok. Not because the Zooodles were bad but I guess I just prefer real pasta. :) For dessert I got one of the best tiramisu in my life :3. We also got some bread and homemade olive oil for starters which was tasty. The restaurant's style is a combination of old and new. It's stunning. I really enjoyed having dinner there. read more

Stopped here again on our way home from Vegas. Think we arrived around 7, new hours say they close at 8 now. They gave us some bread and dipping oil when we sat down. I ordered the creamy garlic chicken pasta, my husband had the Italian sausage pasta. He said his was pretty greasy, it did look like a lot of grease in his pasta sauce. Maybe with it being almost closing time they didn't take the time to drain the sausage properly? Mine was pretty good however there wasn't much of a garlic flavor that I could taste. We have lunch at Babbo once in a while and have always been very pleased with the service and the food. The restaurant is always clean and the overall ambience is pleasant and comfortable. The pasta dishes are always prepared to perfection with fresh ingredients cooked al dente in a perfectly balanced sauce. The salads are always fresh and the bread is excellent. The wait staff have always been pleasant, friendly and attentive. We frequent most of the area restaurants and Babbo is still my favorite. read more

Not a bad place to eat but I think we were there at the wrong time. We didn't know they closed at 9 when we ordered around 8. The spaghetti and meatballs was cold noodles and marinara sauce. For an Italian dish it was way too commercial. With frozen meatballs it seemed. Water tasted funny. Great service and a very cozy atmosphere. Disappointed with the food quality. Meatballs and spaghetti and 5 cheese mac and cheese 2 vodka waters. 78$. My opinion wasn't worth 40 bucks. But I guess they are able to rip you off because of the neighborhood. read more

We came here for dinner and contemplated leaving to go elsewhere half way through. I ordered the lemon garlic pasta and added chicken. The chicken came out disgustingly plain. Like, literally looked like it was boiled and didn't have any seasoning. It was DISGUSTING. The lemons weren't even grilled so it was like just sliced lemons added on top? It was awful. Lacked so much flavor. I couldn't even make myself eat this so it was sent back. I ordered a Bianca pizza as a replacement. Which wasn't terrible, but they loaded it with an insane amount of garlic. I can still taste it on my breath the day after My boyfriend got the spicy Alfredo with Italian sausage and it was RUNNY. all of the sauce sat at the bottom of the bowl!? The description said it was creamy... ya, no. It was disgusting. Aaaand the cherry on top is they charge a 2.95 transaction fee to all orders. This isn't a credit card processing fee. The bartender said that's their way of "covering for inflation." AKA, just ripping you off. We will not be back. read more

We had the best Valentine's dinner here tonight. Jacinda was our server, and she was fantastic! The roasted asparagus with spring salad appetizer was delicious with the focaccia dipped in oil and vinegar! Perfect way to start. For an entree, I highly recommend the braised short rib ravioli, it's a light and perfect dish, honestly one of the best pasta dishes I've had in forever!(Im so picky!) We finished with the Babbo bake, a perfect warm cookie topped with ice cream and caramel! The place is trendy pretty, roomy, and has nice lighting. Had dinner at Babbo Italian Eatery tonight. For a large chain restaurant, I was impressed. The wait staff was friendly and quick with service. I had a nice house salad, lots of ingredients and not swimming in dressing like so many places. extra star for that. Then I nice Rustic pasta dish with penne. Sauce was nice, thick and complimented the pasta, which was done correctly. Portions were adequate and left no room for anything else. Strong recommend for Babbos. read more

Loved our experience at Babbo! Felt fortunate to be seated right by the fire on a chilly day. Very friendly service-our waitress answered all our questions and was very attentive. The menu is extensive and so many options. The complimentary bread and olive oil was exactly what we were hoping for. I finally decided on the "chalkboard" menu, with portobello mushrooms, Gorgonzola, and walnuts. It was absolutely perfect! Others in my party tried the pizzas and liked them a lot-recommend the grape and pear pizza. Highly recommend checking out Babbo-be aware they have a $6.99 special for spaghetti and meatballs Monday's and Tuesday's and it might be more crowded than usual. read more

I ordered and paid for a 13" Margarita pizza at the Surprise location. When I arrived at take out there was a sizable line of people paying for their takeout orders. My food was clearly visible so I asked an employee to get it for me and showed my email receipt. They told me I had to wait in line even though it was already paid for. Also, the food was not under any type of warning device to keep it warm. After 12 minutes they finally got to me, the person I had previously spoken to and who knew it was paid for handed it to me. It was stone cold by then and I told them of my displeasure. There was no service recovery effort made by them. When I got it home and tried to reward it the crust was so thin that it became crunchy and inedible. I will never order from them again. BTW the pizza was average at best. I ended up going to another pizza shop where I was treated much better. It was less expensive for a bigger and better pizza. read more

The portions are perfect with a small salad and a small pizza or pasta dish of your choice. 11-3pm Mon -Fri it's a great option during the week for a nice mid day meal. This was our first time, we came here for Father's Day. Arrived at 4pm, figured we would beat the rush. When we arrived there was a small handful of tables occupied and within a few min the place was packed. Bread and EVOO was great, bread was warm and soft. We ordered artichoke dip, another great choice, bread was great and dip was amazing. I did not read the menu and just read the title not the description, so I ordered the white pizza which came out more like a margarita or Napoleon pizza at other places. It had tomato chunks, basil, and chunks of mozzarella cheese. I thought I was ordering a garlic mozzarella EVOO pizza. This was my fault for not reading, it was good but once you have your mind thinking one thing, it isn't the same. Wife ordered garlic shrimp, she didn't like the extremely heavy amount of sun dried tomatoes but when I tasted it I did, but I will admit, there was an extremely extra amount in there. She picked out enough to have 2 big piles on the side of her plate, easily each pile was over two tablespoons. Daughter ordered plain noodles. About a 1/3 of her noodles were burnt and over cooked. I read other reviews about leaving dirty plates on side of table, our server cleared them quickly but did leave my empty glass on the side for over half the meal. I ended up drinking wife's sprite. The place was packed so I'm not sure if that was why we rarely saw our waiter and waited so long between but total time in the restaurant was hour and half, and that was us running down our server to get our check and again to pay. One bad experience doesn't make a restaurant, it was busy and was Father's Day. The appetizer was amazing so we will be back to try it again, hopefully next time the rest of the meal is as good as the apps. read more

This is a real gem Can't wait til they open in Goodyear. We had the chicken chipolte and the steak salad. Huge portions for a great price. Friendly greeter and fabulous server. I started with the Mista sales which was full of veggies and lightly dressed which was nice . They give you a nice portion of bread and a mixture of olive oil and balsamic oil which was very tasty . To follow I had the pages valducci in the lunch portion which was more than enough. My entire meal with a iced tea was not quite 17 bucks. Very Americanized Italian food but good for the price. I took my parents here for their birthdays. This place has a good atmosphere and great food. They were a little short staff the 3 lemon drops sat at the bar for a good 5 plus minutes and our 3 pasta dinners came out before we got our drinks. The server blamed the bartender for being new when in reality the server was just busy and didn't realize the drinks were waiting at the bar.... Definitely recommend this Italian restaurant, if you're looking for delicious pasta this is the spot for ya. Very nice chic interior designing but yet casual dinning. I loved their outdoor waiting area, it has a huge around about comfortable couch to enjoy if you want. Very relaxing scenery if you do end up waiting. They have a chic looking bar if you want to enjoy a drink while you wait. The service was quick, my server/ manager Vincent was very nice & created a great experience. A 10/10 recommendation, service was on point, quick & friendly. I ordered their three cheese Mac & cheese pasta, very delicious & unique since it also had croutons & spicy Italian sausage slices so it added a nice kick but not too spicy. Just a great texture on an elevated twist to your traditional Mac & cheese comfort food.
