Had such a great experience at Bacari! Justin, the manager, was amazing and recommended some really great dishes for us to try. Everything was delicious, but the stuffed mushrooms, steak, and carpaccio were definitely some of my favorites. And the dessert was SO good -- the perfect way to end the meal! Really loved the food, atmosphere, and overall experience. Justin made us feel very welcomed and his recommendations were spot on. We'll definitely be coming back!

Bacari is where all the cool kids hang out. It's a gorgeous two story building with ample seating and excellent service. The space is modern and definitely exudes an upscale design. The hostess was kind and very thorough explaining the experience as she led me to my table. The party was definitely poppin' upstairs and looked like everyone was having fun. Camille was very pleasant during my visit. I had the Watermelon, Crudo, Lamb Hummus, and Crab Cake Benedict. The food was good, but crudo was slightly over-salted and the crab cake was lacking flavor. I only tasted a hint of grapefruit in the hollandaise. Also, please be careful because there were a few tiny shells in the cake. The Lamb Hummus was superb, unique, and absolutely worth ordering. The iced coffee was good, but they went overboard with the cream because I prefer it dark & robust. Anyway, I'd return because I enjoyed my time and the environment was loud & lively.

Came here on a Thursday night for some yummy tapas with a friend and it did not disappoint. We got the crudo, beets, chicken shawarma tacos, and asian pear and arugula pizza. My fav was the pizza which had the thinnest crust and the most perfect toppings and sauce. To drink, I got the socal mocktail which was very refreshing. We sat on the upstairs patio which was super cute and moody at night time.

Back for round 2, and this time popped!!! First item of order, our servers Kayli and Leah were so helpful, knowledgeable and fun, and they really set the tone for a super lively evening!!! Food this round was great!! Green falafel had a great mix of flavors on the plate, and the vegan mushroom street tacos, while with some flavors that did not quite mesh, still had excellent crunch and texture. The bread pudding here is a star, and my cocktail of the evening- resurrection - was indeed a revelation of the well balanced. Scene on the rooftop was lively as ever.

Just tried Bacari Long Beach for brunch, and I'm officially a fan! I LOVE small plates, sharing is caring after all ;) We tried the lamb hummus, barramundi crudo, crab cake benedict, schnitzel, and french toast. Everything was delicious, but the standouts for me were definitely the lamb hummus and schnitzel. So good! And can we talk about the space?! The decor and all the little thoughtful touches make this place absolutely stunning. It's beautiful without feeling stuffy, and there's something fun to discover in every corner. We also brought our 3-month-old along, and the staff was incredibly accommodating and welcoming. Brandon was one of our servers and really stood out with his spot-on recommendations and excellent service. He checked in often without ever feeling overbearing, which I always appreciate. I'd highly recommend coming with a group so you can order more and try a little bit of everything! This would also be such a fun spot for a girls' night.

The food was tasty but very expensive for small portions. Keeping that in mind, it is a good restaurant for the aesthetics and yummy bites. It's also the type of place where it's hard to hear the person you're talking to. It was also quite hot even in the dining room as I noticed seeing all the waiters struggling to keep cool. I booked a reservation 2 days in advance and there was plenty of availability, and it was during dineLA too. When we were there we noticed a lot of people waiting outside so definitely book ahead if possible. We each got the dineLA meals and then added extra plates since it was pretty small. We also got drinks for happy hour: the sangria and the Socal Staple. Both were okay, I was originally requesting the Blushing Botanica but it was out of stock. For food we had the following for dineLA: 1. App- romaine heart salad, Main: Brussel sprouts & grilled chicken breast, Dessert: vegan double chocolate cake 2. App- tuscan kale salad, Main: tripoline pasta & sea bass, Dessert: malabi Extras: scallop medallions, chicken schnitzel Everything was $190 for two people and didn't quite fill us up. The tuscan kale salad, tripoline pasta, sea bass, and chicken schnitzel were tasty and I could recommend. The romaine heart, brussel sprouts, and grilled chicken breast were okay and I probably wouldn't get them again. The scallops were actually not full scallops but almost like blended or ground up scallops, as explained by our waiter, which made the texture and density quite different from a normal scallop, which definitely made them more dense and chewy. The grilled chicken breast tasted very tangy and almost like mustard, with strong flavors from the jalapeno. The vegan double chocolate cake was served with ice cream as recommended by our waiter but it wasn't very sweet and you could definitely tell it was vegan. The malabi was even less sweet/tasty and the taste from the hibiscus was the main flavor as the custard itself was very plain. The seating was pretty tightly packed, the table we were sat at for two was wedged between two larger tables by the front window and felt uncomfortable as there was little room to get up or even have anything protrude from our table. It could have definitely been placed somewhere else or been removed altogether. We checked out the upstairs outdoor area which had a nice ambiance and great view of the sunset but the bar was full so unfortunately we could not take a seat there. Parking is the usual situation for 2nd st, but we got there early evening on a Friday and luckily found a close spot on the street so we didn't have to pay for valet. Overall, if you're looking to eat lightly and splurge on unique flavors this would be a good spot. But just keep in mind the small aspects of both the food and the space.

This is the 2nd story open air (not really rooftop). Super cute. They cut our cake no charge!

We've been going to Bacari locations all over the city for years and we were happy to hear they opened in Long Beach. We went for a birthday and wanted rooftop seating. Reservations: 10/10. Easy and they send you a text to confirm. They even responded to my text when I asked about cake cutting - they don't charge!! Parking: 9/10. Parking can be a bit of a challenge if you don't want to pay for valet. Facility: 10/10: although the top floor is not really a rooftop, it's more open air, the top floor was cute and had an upstairs bar as well as a downstairs bar. Some of the tables were very close together. Overall it was super cute and what you'd expect from Bacari. Bathrooms: 5/10: Sadly, the bathrooms weren't very clean when we were there at 8pm. Food: 7/10. Bacari is a place where you can experiment because their food items are meant to be shared. They are smaller plates in nature, but you can get lots of items and try them out. Food: Overall, their food tends to be over saturated with certain ingredients in one way or another and this goes for all Bacari locations. Either everything comes with "lemon" or everything has some sort of "nut" and it's too much. Not everyone wants nuts on their food, and in some cases it's just not even necessary and seems to be a "filler". Besides that, my daughter is severely nut allergic and had to get a special menu which lowered the outcome of our experience. I'm not even allergic to nuts - I just don't like them on my food! Charred broccoli: 10/10. Very good! House baguette with oil: 9/10. Sliced thin, warm and tasty - we ordered two! Sea Bass: 9/10. These sea bass itself was a bit bland but when you top it with the corn it was another level. Shawarma tacos: 6/10. These were flavorful but just not our vibe. Bacari fries (no egg): 6/10. The sauce was ok, none of us were really impressed with this dish and would skip next time. Prices: 10/10: Since their menu is mainly small plates it's pretty reasonable. Service: 10/10. No issues! Overall we like Bacari and will be back.

First time at BACARI ! Really enjoyed our brunch. The space looks noticeably better than before -- the updated décor feels warmer, more polished, and gives the restaurant a much more inviting atmosphere. The music was also great and set the perfect upbeat-but-relaxed tone for a Sunday brunch. We shared several dishes, including the beef and veggie burekas, chilaquiles, avocado toast, shawarma tacos, and watermelon. Everything worked well for sharing, which is one of the things I like most about Bacari. We also enjoyed a couple bottles of Sauvignon Blanc, so it turned into a very leisurely brunch. There were big groups which is to be expected at brunch but one table brought a newborn, who they passed around the table like an appetizer. Not sure why people think brunch is appropriate for newborns, or even children, but luckily we were almost done when they sat. Overall, the combination of good, shareable food, improved atmosphere, great music, and a fun setting made for a really enjoyable afternoon. Will be back for happy hour soon!

From the moment we walked in I fell in love with the decor. It does not feel like you are on a main road. Our server Sebastian S was amazing! We ordered a variety of food to taste from the brunch menu. From the Tacos to the Beef and Lamb Bureka we could not get enough. I am still dreaming of the Brussels Sprouts. We plan to come back for dinner. The only negative is the parking. Because it on a main road there is only street parking on 2nd street if you find one and no parking is allowed on the residential areas. So you have no other choice than to valet. So that is the only reason I am give 4 stars.

What an amazing experience! From the moment I arrived, Justin Cali, the manager, took such great care of me. He is incredibly professional, friendly, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel welcomed and appreciated. You can tell he truly cares about his guests and takes pride in creating a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were just as amazing! Everything was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully done. I also want to give a special shout-out to Jada, the bartender, who was so sweet and attentive. She took great care of us and made our time at the bar even more enjoyable. And if you go, you definitely have to check out the cute upstairs bar! The atmosphere is fantastic, and I especially loved the roof that opens up--it makes the space feel so fun and unique. I highly recommend this restaurant! Between the incredible food, delicious drinks, wonderful service, and amazing atmosphere, you definitely won't regret going. Honestly, I would go here every day if I could! Thank you, Justin and Jada, for making our experience so special. We'll definitely be back!

This Bacari location is located on 2nd street in Long Beach and is fairly new. Hype is still real so make reservations! We went on a Friday night and a few days prior we checked for reservations and they were BOOKED! We took our chances as walk ins around 6:15pm and were quoted almost two hour wait-- luckily ended up only being 45 minutes! We were seated on the rooftop by luck which had all the summer vibes. Perfect for a girls night! We did opt in to the 90 minute open bar which is $30 per person for sangria and beer. Cocktails are $40 per person. Our server kept the drinks going and I was there for it! The food is tapas style so we ordered quite a few dishes. All the dishes were chef kiss. Highly recommend the chicken schnitzel, bacari fries, street corn and the schwarma tacos. We also ordered dessert which was so good. The chocolate cake and bread pudding were top tier. Although the kitchen was a bit behind the food quality was fantastic and absolutely delicious! Overall, a great spot in Long Beach. Will definitely be back with reservations!

Such a great new spot in Long Beach! Located in the former Michael's/Bacari space, this place already has a lively energy and was definitely busy when I visited. It's a great place to meet up with friends, but I also really liked the atmosphere for going by yourself, sitting at the bar, or having a date night. Abe was my bartender and he was fantastic! He made me an amazing Eastside/Eastern Standard cocktail -- depending on what you call it -- and it was perfectly made and so refreshing. I also tried the stuffed mushrooms, and they were delicious and full of flavor. Between the drinks, food, atmosphere, and service, I really enjoyed my experience. It's nice to see something new and vibrant in this Long Beach location. I'll definitely be back!

    Tripoline pasta - great

Great food, excellent service... patio can warm in afternoons but that's just summer in the LBC. Great for groups either dinner or light apps/drinks. Drinks are fantastic!!! I've gone here twice: first time, sat inside in the evening and the other, outside on the patio 5-6 pm. Inside was cooler on a hot summer day. Food: favs are the sea bass (crispy outer with flaky center and crema/corn tomato side), Mediterranean street corn, and Tripoli's pasta. Ceviche is citrusy and fresh. Moroccan cigars were good, though on our next visit we'd probably branch out since there are so many other dishes that look worth trying. Chicken schnitzel is amazing. Falafel is great too! Ambiance: the patio is decorated beautifully and the place is buzzing with excited guests, so it could be loud for some. I'd say eat outside with big groups. The sun hits the patio thru the gap under the canopy, there's a roller shade one side to block it. Inside is good for more intimate dining, it's a moody vibe with sexy lighting. Loved it. Drinks: amazing. Want to come back for the 90 minute open bar ($35-45!) Overall a great place, will be back next month, but won't be sitting on the patio when the sun is setting like that.

I was impressed by the Parklet seating in addition to the inside front. We were walked to the back and seated in the outside garden area. Tables are on small rocks, plants are pretty to look at -- it was a delightful ambience. There was one waiter serving ALL the tables, and to my surprise, he did a great job with such attention to detail. Overall, he was a delightful, professional waiter. The additional servers were so efficient, polite and on top of their game. We started with the flat bread: Wonderful crust, incredible roasted garlic paste with a habanero cheese that was not overpowering. Such a nice balance of flavor. The two of us devoured it. Enjoyed my peach Prosecco which appeared to be a Prosecco with peach nectar, perhaps? Not sure exactly, but it was very refreshing and not too sweet. The cioppino was out of this world! It's so hard to find a good cioppino in Long Beach. It had so much depth of flavor with a little hint of spice and the seafood was fresh! My partner wiped his bowl clean. My dish was the parpadelle in a lobster sauce. The pasta tasted homemade, the bits of lobster (about 6oz) were carried throughout the dish where I experienced a wonderful creamy lobster flavor in every bite. I usually take home what I don't finish, but I couldn't stop eating it. Lastly, Chocolate Spumoni ice cream bomb is a must to try. Priced well at $10. Great quality in this dessert all around. The Parmesan cheese wheel dish looked incredible as it was prepared table side next to us. That's going to be my go to when I return. This restaurant is a treasure for Italian food in Long Beach.

I decided to check the Resy app to try somewhere new besides the 3 restaurants across the street from me, and surprisingly found an opening at 7:45pm on a Saturday night! I walked there from my house so thankfully did not have to worry about parking. I felt completely comfortable from the moment I sat down. The atmosphere is warm and casual, there was live music and a lively group of people on the covered outdoor backyard. My server was lovely as well, attentive, but never felt rushed. Everything I ordered was delicious and perfectly paced. I started with the fried artichokes which I had never had before, but I love artichokes thanks to my Italian grandmother. So light and crispy. Then I had the caprese, what a stunning salad this is! The avocado was a bit random to me as I have never seen one with a caprese before and it was hard as a rock, but still ate the whole thing. I ordered the pasta alla routa Cacio E Pepe which I did not realize was $65 upon the time of ordering, but that's on me for not looking that closely. They told me ahead of time when it was coming out so I could video it being made inside the cheese wheel if I wanted since they couldn't come to me being that the backyard is covered in rocks. Thought this was nice since I paid so much for it, may as well be able to share the experience with others. I enjoyed two glasses of sangria with my dinner and finished with some pistachio gelato. All in all a great experience, I just wish the pasta was like $20 cheaper but lesson learned. I don't know that I would come here often since I spent $190 on dinner for myself, but I would come back for date night, or an anniversary, or a special occasion, and have already recommended since going.

Well asked for it to be welcome and perfectly it came out. Our main was Pappardelle with short rib and the lemon chicken. Unfortunately the mains were pretty cold. Small blame on the kitchen. Here is how my experience became a WOW. My server NASTASSIA was the reason my night was perfect. She was so understanding and empathetic about the cold food. She immediately asked what she could do to make it better. She requested a new dish to be fired up. New pappardelle came out perfect with another side of mashed potatoes. She once again asked blue the food was and if we're were happy. She also informed the manager of our experience. She came over and also apologized and offered my wife and I dessert. My wife picked the bread pudding. Overall I am a BIG believer that employees are the reason for the success of a business. More employees in the world need to be more like Natassia. THANK YOU

It was a party of 4 adults and 1 child. We orders the salmon, ravioli, steak, meatballs and fettuccini Alfredo do with chicken. Salmon. This was basically the star of the show. Display was good. Cooked correctly and not overdone. However... I can't say the same for the rest. Let's move on. Ravioli. Far too rich in flavor. Because... it's hiding something. Restaurants get by thinking they can get away with shortcuts. Until they meet yelpers, food critics and chefs like myself. This ravioli IS made in house yes. However once made it's obvious it's frozen and re heated. Such a shame. Because I can guarantee you if it was fresh? Probably some of the best ravioli you'd ever have. Steak. Asked for medium rare. It came out like beef jerky. Burned and overcooked beyond edible. We told our server and they made another. The next one brought was spot on, medium rare. However lacking seasoning. This was the food our child had. And he's use to good steak. Nobu, Flemings etc. he was not happy with the lack of seasoning. Meatballs. Well you can't screw that up right? Wrong. Again previously froze. Now I'm sure they make the meat mixture in house. I'll give them that. But why are you guys freezing and re hearing? Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. An American Italian staple. Pasta was actually cooked perfectly. I'll give them That. Pasta itself tastes it was made in house. However the chicken, overcooked, under seasoned again. Alfredo sauce WAY too rich again. The manager actually came over eventually. Asked how it was. I told her about the overcooked steak and the frozen ravioli/meatballs. She didn't even deny anything and said ok. Took the steak off the bill. It upsets me that this beautiful exterior and interior restaurant is like this. And the staff was pretty solid in the front of the house. However the food is severely lacking. I have this place a 3 star based upon the cleanliness, staff and exterior/interior. I wouldn't return for the food. Only for the ambience.

The parking lot was full but I was told to let my collegaues know that they can park in the medical building across the street since it was after 5 pm. Everything was good and delicious. We got the market fig, corn pasta, branzino, steak, meatball and salad. It was really sweet that the kitchen made a gluten-free salad for one of our team mate who could only eat gluten free. I defintely want to come back for their brunch menu.

We were seated quickly and ordered a bottle of wine. I wish it were possible to taste the wine before buying, there were a couple I had not had before and they looked amazing, but I'm not gambling 100 bucks on a wine I haven't tried. The wine we ordered was fine, not incredible but not horrible. We also ordered the bread, meatballs, and ribeye. The bread was the dish that stood out the most. It was great. The other dishes were fine. Not worth the money to me. The entire experience lacked soul. From service to food, just kind of fine. Our dishes came out on top of each other, we should have asked them to course them. So this experience was definitely not worth it, which is a shame. I was left feeling like this is a place that does not have exceptional food but does have very high prices and maybe that's to vet clientele ;)

It's classy, the kind of place you'd see in a late-90s/early-00s romcom date scene. The staff was attentive and kind, though we asked for coffee at the end and it never came--we had a show to get to, so unfortunately had to leave without it. We started with the melanzane pizza. It was tasty, but I just realized later it was missing the nduja sausage listed on the menu. For my entrée, I had the paccheri pasta with braised short rib. The beef itself was rich, tender, and full of flavor--reminded me of an Italian birria, which I loved. But the rigatoni tasted undercooked, which was disappointing. My fiancé ordered the tagliata, and wow--she definitely picked the better dish. The steak was perfectly seasoned, cooked to a beautiful medium rare, and paired with a silky potato purée that was absolutely delicious. Overall, it's a romantic spot with some standout flavors, but the small misses kept it from being a perfect experience.

Excellent selection of wines! They are also offering Bubbles and Shells (Sparking Wine and Oysters) on Friday and Saturday nights! Our food today, Michael's Burger with handout fries, N'Daju Toast, and The Benedict. Cocktails today, Ciacco D'oro and a Mimosa. Cappuccino and coffees were great. Cocktails at Michael's are excellent. Definitely one of the best places in Long Beach for a cocktail! Creative and consistent. The burger is the best one in town if you are craving that juicy type of burger, which I was. Done perfectly. I order it rare, they know how to serve it rare! Now served with handout fries instead of chips, still amazing! We finished our meal with a wonderful Gelato, on the house! Mint chip and just amazing! Looking forward to more Brunches and of course happy Hour!

Let's start with the win: the burger was "the best he's had in a long time"--which says a lot. Kudos on the burger! The banana smoothie also got a thumbs-up. Everything else? Meh. The pancake was okay. The scrambled eggs were... weird. Tiny little egg bits that had me wondering, are these real eggs? I asked for crispy bacon; it wasn't, so I couldn't eat it. The breakfast potatoes tasted reheated--no crisp, not much flavor, no joy. And the London Fog? Don't expect Starbucks loveliness. The plain black coffee was better. I also had the grapefruit juice, it was bitter, but tasted fresh squeezed, which I appreciate. Service was good. My server saw that I didn't eat my food and tried to make it better. The venue is nice, but if you're coming for great food--burger aside--we didn't find it here. The velvet chairs are comfortable and beautiful, but the stains and spills were evident. I was worried when I sat down about what was on the chairs getting on my dress. Overall, it's a place we'd only return to if we were craving that burger, everything else was a fail. I left hungry. Last morning here at the Fairmont. Tried breakfast at Nettuno again... disappointed and leaving hungry again. This time we had oatmeal (needed to add water, so dry we stuck the spoon in it and it stood straight up and didn't fall over), fruit (good), boiled eggs (took 20 minutes), and the avocado toast with a fried egg. It was not good. The menu says it comes with kale, but I received mixed greens with it, not kale and the flavor was bad. It's hard to make bad avocado toast, but they did. Disappointing. Plus, service was very slow today. Our order came out incomplete and out of order. The atmosphere is beautiful, but this restaurant has a lot to work on to be worthy of its prices and the Fairmont brand. Second fail.

Salmon w broccolini was delicious and was devoured. The calamari appetizer was disappointing as it was flavorless without the spicy tomato sauce and the zucchini were soggy and limp. Ambiance is cozy, upscale and classy. Dimly lit with plenty of space between tables for privacy. Saw a couple celebrating their anniversary here along with business travelers dining during their stay. Would dinner again but the upper restaurant will remain my first choice.

We had a great time to find some new hand care products @Lather and went to discover an authentic italian restaurant which lots of Yelpers mentioned. My wife said, we have to order at the front, then they bring the foods to the table but the owner took our orders, and brought the foods so fast just like other Italian restaurant. We love meat lasagna, pasta w bolonese sauce, and some flat breads like appetizer pizza. We ordered 3, lasagna, tagliatelle bolonese, flat bread sandwich called Cassone w sausage, bell pepper, onions. I had some italian red wine per glass ($14). First, I loved so much my lasagna and kept eating until finish my entire portion. I give 10 stars. My wife's pasta, she said pasta is too thick, might be on purpose? She likes soft, thin texture handmade tagliatelle. For the first time, we ordered flat bread sandwich. The sandwich flavor was good, but not the dough for flat bread. Well, we tried here for the 1st time after shopping. Today was almost 81 this afternoon. Hot and humid.....unluckily AC was broken so he opened the entrance door. One big fly bothered a lot annoying us eating the foods. And so hot inside restaurant. Overall, I liked my lasagna a lot, not really tagliatelle bolonese, nor the flat bread sandwich. If AC was working during lunch time. We felt much comfortable to enjoy our foods. One thing, I loved the red wine but the portion was not enough for $14. Even my wife said, not much for this price. I got 2 glasses of italian red wine, not enough. The view was great ocean side from the patio. This is a strong point eating here for the view. My wife saw the live pasta cooking show, a chef made the pasta, stretching the pasta dough in the kitchen....great show! Fun! Hopefully AC runs well especially hot summer season, the portions of pastas and wines might be more generous for the future.
