My friend saw on social media of this new shop opening at Irvine Spectrum so I had to stop by. What can I say, refreshing and delicious. We got the chocolate/sweet cream, strawberry sorbet, and cookies and cream. Each one was rich in flavor and I truly appreciate the ability to sample before you buy. All the flavors we got were enjoyable and you can't go wrong with any of the selection. The interior is modern, clean, with a few tables and chairs and a counter. Exterior also had a couple tables but be forewarned, it can get busy. Staff was very helpful in providing recommendations. Bacio Di Latte has the best gelato! I've been a fan ever since they opened in Century City as I lived nearby and it was my favorite treat. Having recently moved to Irvine, I was thrilled to see that they were open at the Spectrum! This location is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. You can sample their gelato, which is made fresh daily. You really can't go wrong with any of their flavors - the quality of ingredients and expertise really shows. We had scoops of the Fragola (strawberry sorbet), pistachio, and caramello salato (salted caramel). There was a long line of people, but it was well worth the wait. It has the best pistachio dessert I've had on the West Coast. I like that it actually has pistachio on it as opposed to just flavored. If i had to rate on taste only I would give it 10/10. The flavors are amazing. The inside is very inviting with limited seating options (there are several tables outside). The issue is with the portions. A small cup is around $10 and some of the staff doesn't know how to fill these cups, especially if you order two flavors. I ordered a pint for home and sadly it was only half full. Same with when we ordered the small cups. If scooping is such a chore then maybe they should base their prices on weight. read more

This is a newish offering at the Spectrum and I loved it. They had a great selection of gelato and if you really want to you can jazz it up with chocolate covered waffle bowls and the like. The shop itself is very cute with a small seating area. It is conveniently located near the theatre and restaurants. I did have to wait a bit because there were a dozen people in line and only one employee, but the guy working was fast, friendly, and helpful. The gelato itself is luxe and delicious. I've always loved Bacio di latte in Fashion Island so when I heard they would be opening a new location in the Spectrum, I couldn't wait to check it out! We tried their strawberry cheesecake, the pistachio, and the hazelnut flavors. The sweet and sour cheesecake paired magnificently with the nuttier flavors. I am absolutely in trouble now that this is open so close by to me. I'm not going to pretend like I'm a connoisseur of gelato by any means, and I've had it in Italy and couldn't tell you a good deal difference of what makes gelato good, but you sort of know it when you taste it. Stateside, there's no one that does it better than Bacio di Latte, and I'm glad that the quality is consistent with this location as well. It's pretty classic as far as flavors go, and there's nothing wrong with that, even if many ice cream chains sort of get you on limited time offerings. You'll always go back to your favorites anyway, so there's always more than enough new flavors to try out. This time I had the stracciatella which is my go-to as well as the eponymously named sweet cream flavor, and both were fantastic. It's absolutely a danger to my diet, but it's hard to pass up a great gelato cone, which I will now need to exert some self-control considering how easy it is right at the entrance of Irvine Spectrum Center next to the Regal which is one of my third places. TIP: I hear that lines could be long, but they're open late as well, so try to go off-hours! read more

Deceptive Packaging/Dishonest Business! I ordered two hot chocolates from this location and asked for a milk alternative, they offered oat milk which I was happy about. The total came to $15.80. When I received my order, I was shocked to see that both cups were only filled halfway. I asked a staff member if this was normal, and they told me it was "4 oz." the worker informed me that this was standard. In reality, it felt more like a sample size. Both drinks were also lukewarm and lacked flavor. The worker did not offer a refund after seeing I was unhappy with my product/experience. The packaging is deliberately misleading. Oversized cups that create the illusion of a full drink while giving you barely anything. If you're going to serve such tiny portions, at least match portions with the correct cup size. I will not return to this location and I've placed a chargeback on this order. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Save yourself the frustration and your money and go to Starbucks, Cold Stone, or literally anywhere else where you actually get what you pay for. read more

Who doesn't love that there's a legit Italian gelato place at Spectrum now. Overall great tasting as you'd expect and it's fun with adding a cone or sauces in a way. BUT make sure to check your bill because I was charged incorrectly with a cone upgrade and it became a whole ordeal. I'm not sure if they get paid for how much they sell or what but without going into detail, just make sure you're getting charged the correct items and nothing is free lol. read more

The Irvine Spectrum just gained another gem! I usually go to the location in Newport Beach so having this one nearby is good but also so dangerous lol. They have some great flavors, but the crema Torino, caramello salato, and pistachio are my favorites! Service was great, the girl who helped us let us try a few samples before deciding. The ambiance was nice - since it's new the inside is modern and very clean. But seating is limited and at times the line can get a bit long. The store is very nicely lit and designed inside. The human and service part of our experience was dismal at best. To pay 30 bucks for 4 small cups/tiny in American standards and get a service like this is not a way to create repeat customers. The short guy behind the fridge was annoyed immediately off the bat from the first interaction and was not welcoming. I said I wanted to see the flavors but he was not having it as if people come in and know what they want at a new store. He clearly did not want to give samples. We only asked for 1 and he acted like it was the end of the world. As new customers that is essential to see how the gelato is. Then the manager I'm guessing, guy with a different shirt and mustache came and helped and he def short changes you for the small piccolo and puts half the amount the other guy did. It's ice cream at the end dude. You're charging for glorified flavored frozen milk. Who cares just fill up that tiny cup and move on. Was not welcoming either and seemed overworked and annoyed. Bathroom was locked so we couldn't wash our hands or kids hands. Napkins tear up when you try to wipe your hands with as they are cheaply made and stick to your skin. Tables outside were dirty and we had to wipe them down to sit. All I can say is, I don't care how good your gelato/ice cream is, if your service is trash it makes it undesirable and I'm not coming back and not bringing any family or friends back. read more

There's a few tables inside and a small bar area, and some seating outside but otherwise isn't large enough for a hangout spot. And rightfully so as it would likely ruin the atmosphere. Wide variety of rich gelato flavors that you can taste test. Tried the affogato which was very smooth. Only thing is I wish it was served in a slightly wider cup. The scoop of gelato fills the entire surface and the espresso sat completely underneath. Could use a better presentation as it looks like gelato on top of espresso rather gelato drowned in espresso.
