Bacio di latte delivers yummy gelato and is conveniently located right next to the amc movie theatres in Santana Row. We got some flavors, the chocolate pistachio, cookie crumble and also the strawberry shortcake. Consistency is good, and I liked the strawberry shortcake the best. It's a bit pricey for the amount of gelato you get as a regular cup was almost ten dollars. Would love to see them expand to more fruit options. read more

Newly opened in Santana Row. They have a lot of flavors, and allow sampling. They also have cones which you can get dipped in chocolate, and various toppings. I came on national gelato day, and they were giving out free cup or cones with gelato. Since I'm dairy-free, they had two sorbet options & one chocolate gelato that was dairy-free. I had the chocolate in a cone. The cone was crunchy and paired well, but the only bummer was that the chocolate gelato melted super fast. read more

This place is very yummy. The gelato is great and the portion size is great. We didn't really have to wait in line for a long time. We got 2 flavors in a cup with a waffle thing. Like a waffle bowl? I can't remember what it was called. We got the pistachio crunch flavor and then custard cookies and cream. My only issue is that the workers are really hard to hear even though there's no loud music or anything. It's almost like they are scared to speak to you. I had to keep asking what and then trying really hard to hear what they were saying. I also kept hearing a lot of people doing the same thing and then the workers being like "ummm" and I saw two standing off to the side twirling their hair. I don't know if everyone there just is really anxious or what was going on. But I hope it was just a one off because that's a really odd experience I've never had before. read more

Awesome experience! The owner/manager served us and encouraged us to try different flavors before purchasing. I tried the bacio di latte, organic strawberry (fragole) sorbet, and stracciatella. I have never heard of this gelato place before and was surprised with how smooth, creamy, and super soft their gelato is! I chose their mint and cookies and cream flavor and they were both delicious! Went for Valentines dessert and there was a line out the door! They've been open less than a month. We waited 30-40minutes but it was worth it! Absolutely delicious creamy fresh gelato! It is pricey but high quality and definitely better than area gelato. There is a cute vibe inside but limited seating especially given the crowds. Thankfully they were very well staffed, asked about allergies, and clearly enjoy their products. I chose a piccolo size, which can be up to 2 flavors, and went with stracciatella and hazelnut experience-- both excellent but I favored the hazelnut experience that tasted like a decadent, Ferrero Rocher ! My husband got the Fragola latte and pistachio -- The Fragola latte (strawberry cream) was the winner in his cup, decadent and fruity. "Bacio di latte" means "milk kiss," and this place is definitely chef's kiss! Looking forward to coming back for another special occasion. read more

Came here after a girl's dinner for a sweet treat. We were so pleasantly surprised that this opened in SR! We came on what I believe was opening night, so it was busy - staff did a great job at moving the line quick while also honoring all our sampling asks. The gelato is creamy and tastes authentic. Really fun flavors and we were all able to choose something we liked. The space is beautiful and has a decent amount of outdoor seating. We were able to get a table outside to enjoy our dessert and chat. Will be back! read more

Best gelato I have tasted in the Bay Area. Thank you so much for opening here. I used to visit this place everytime I went to LA so having it in the Bay Area makes me very happy.I tried Giandujotto 3 Cioccolati & Pistacchio, they were all amazing. I went with a large group and my friends tried Strawberry Cheesecake and Chocolate Pistachio Crunch. Everything we tasted was so good and felt very authentic. Awful service. We came in, stood in line to get ice cream, no one, and I mean no one acknowledged that we were waiting to be serviced. No one greeted us or asked what kind of ice cream we want. We were the only ones in line. Two women BEHIND us were greeted and a woman with the name Promise just started taking their orders. Completely ignoring us (we were two adults and a child). There were 2 women working on to go orders who also could have said "hello, be with you shortly" or at least something. Not coming back and not trying this place. The place is beautiful but the lack of service is unacceptable especially if you have a business at Santana Row where quality matters. read more

Fresh flavor alert!!! Had a great experience coming here for my birthday. I was helped by a scooper named Karina, she was so patient with me and took the time to explain all the flavors. I ended up getting two helpings of gelato! Highly recommend the Matcha Affogato with the raspberry sorbet and the Peanut Caramel gelato. When I went back for a coffee later in the night the taller mexican gentleman made me the best oatmilk latte ever. The store was clean and decorated so cutely, felt like I was in someone's home. i saw this gelato spot was trending and thought "why not try it? it seems promising." IT IS NOT PROMISING. save your money and go somewhere else for some authentic gelato or fly to italy because bacio di latte is not worth your time, let alone your money. first off, there is an overwhelming amount of flavors to choose from. plus, if it's your first time, you feel rushed to try samples because of the massive line behind you that wraps around the building, and then you end up picking some flavor you didn't try and hate because the pressure of being rushed was looming over you. the least i could say was that i was simply overwhelmed. i don't think you need 20+ flavors for a gelato shop. this is not baskin-robbin's, although baskin-robbin's would've been a better choice than this monstrosity. second, flavors are really sweet. they don't taste light or creamy like REAL gelato would. for some reason, the flavors just weren't as flavorful as one would think. i did try a couple samples and each time, i was like "why could this be better??" third, prices are WILD! it's $8 for the SMALLEST CUP (looks like a child's cup) and then $12 for a "grande" which honestly looks like a medium.. don't get me started on the prices if you want a cone.. you'll have to sell your kidney for that one and possibly another organ just to have your cone dipped in nutella or pistachio spread.. fourth, i don't know who designed the interior of this spot but it was not done well. personally, i think the fire marshal should come check this place out because if there was an earthquake, EVERY PIECE OF DECOR would fall from the shelving that goes all the way to the darn ceiling. i simply stood in line thinking "all these plates and jars and books and random items are a complete hazard to society. oh, and look, they go all the way to the ceiling, lovely." all this to say, save your money and get gelato at Eataly that actually tastes like you've been imported to italy! plus, you don't have to sell your many organs for one gelato at this bacio spot and waste your time waiting in a line that feels like eternity. read more

i was so excited to see that bacio di latte was opening up shop in the bay, so we made the trip to valley fair on a rainy tuesday night. flavors were great, and that's where the good part ends. itzel pretty much ruined the visit with her attitude. she got us the samples we asked for, and then got distracted by another customer and stopped paying attention while i was ordering. i asked for a regular with 3 flavors, and she missed what i said and started scooping regular stracciatella. i had to correct her, and she also gave us the smallest cup size, when we ordered the regular. when she handed it to us and rung us up for a regular size, i asked if the cup was correct because my boyfriend and i could see other people getting 3 flavors in a larger cup and she immediately dismissed me and said yes. rude for no reason and i could be wrong about the cup, but everyone else with 3 flavors definitely had the size up . 8.95 for a tiny cup of ice cream and bad service hurts. maybe it's been a busy week? but wasn't crowded when we got there. read more

I ordered one of the regular size two scoops waffle cone and a one scoop affogato. My total after the 50% discount was $15.82 for opening week. That seems very pricey. So regular price it would have cost $33 for two items? I think the girl rung it up wrong. Be careful and watch what they type in.... Two scoops waffle cone should have been 12.50 not $15.15 which is what she typed in I guess, and a one scoop affagato should be 9.75. 12.50+ 9.75 = 22.50 divided by 2 = 11.50 plus about $1 for tax. So 12.50 somehow turned into $15.82? I can't seem to make sense why I was charged $15.82 when it should have been a grand total of $12.50 ish with taxes included. I did not tip because it seems they were already falsely inflating their prices and charging more than they should. read more

Disappointed in the quality and value. It's in a great location and seemed pretty clean, but they aren't serving actual, traditional gelato. It isn't creamy or rich in flavor and had a processed taste. It's pretty expensive for this lack of flavor. Save your money and go to somewhere like Gelato Classico. read more
