Aesthetically beautiful! Plenty of Indoor and outdoor seating. Warm customer service. Clean store but bathroom out of order. The cookies and cream flavor was exactly what I wanted, nothing stood out to me though. I'd come back again and maybe try out their other unique flavors. I especially liked that you could still get the toppings and chocolate or pistachio drizzle even when you have a regular cup! Haven't seen that option anywhere else. Great addition to Santana Row!

What a great addition to Santana Row! The shop is located next to the movie theater and Mendocino Farms, with easy access from the parking garage right across the street. I don't get gelato too often, but after trying just about all of their flavors, I think that's about to change. They had such a fun and indulgent variety. They had chocolatey, fruity, fun options with mixins, and even vegan options, truly something for everyone. Picking one flavor would be nearly impossible, but luckily you don't have to, and can get up to four in one cup/cone! I got one of the chocolates, raspberry, pistachio, and a caramel one when I went. The pistachio transported me back to eating gelato on a beach in Europe even though it was a rainy day. The customer service is so warm, welcoming, and friendly. They encouraged me to try multiple flavors and didn't rush me at all. Excited to come back!

Came here because it was like the only dessert shop nearby that was still open after 10pm on a weekday. Bonus points for that! However the gelato itself was just alright. It was SO expensive. It was like $15 for a large with waffle cone. We felt that there wasn't anything that special about it to justify that price. Also, it was way too melted, it started dripping before we even started eating it. Also, super sweet! We tried the mint chocolate, cookies n cream, and tiramisu, and the mint chocolate was definitely my favorite. Store is decently small, not too many tables inside but they have outside seating which is probably nice in the summer!

Bacio Di Late is a newly opened gelato shop in Santana Row. We went on a weekend and the line was very long. We waited about 30 minutes and finally got to the front. My husband got a hazelnut flavor and I got a special which had pieces of cake in it. We paid $22 for our 2 scoops which was very pricey. The gelato was average and melted very fast. I'm not sure why, but my husband's cone was dripping after a minute or so and made a big mess. Overall, not too impressed and we wouldn't go again.

Oooo this place is gorgeous. So beautifully decorated and the shelves look straight out of someone's home! The cookies are gigantic and I will have to try them next time, including the affogato. Piccolo (smallest size in a cup, up to 2 flavors $7.95): Love that the menu clarified how many flavors we can get with each size! I got pistachio and stracciatella, my gelato classics and it was a LOT of gelato. There are also options to top off with hazelnuts/pistachios (95 cents) or coated with Nutella/pistachio cream what!!! This feels like a proper Italian gelato shop and fits nicely in the Santana Row bubble. Excited to try more menu items!

I've been here 3x now it deserves a review! Welcome addition to the row and it's super popular with a line at the door even on weeknights! Open late too. Very bright and inviting indoors with so many flavors to choose from. I haven't seen a sign limiting how many samples one can ask for but I generally ask for maybe two. Seating inside and out. The tables are too close together inside though. Restroom available too. Staff are pretty nice and can recommend flavors if you're unsure. Flavors I've tried: Chocolate Pistaccio Crunch Stracciatella Chocolate Chip Cioccolato & Menthe Liana's Shortcake (strawberry jam) Greek Yogurt Raspberry Sorbet My favorite is the pistachio chocolate but it can get overly sweet because of the chocolate crunch pieces and pistachio gelato. Shortcake also gets sweeter over time but I loved the strawberry white choco crispies. I got waffle cones my first two visits and you can get one flavor for the regular size. Want even more sweet finishes? Get pistachio cream or chocolate hazelnut cream lined inside your cone or cup and/or add nuts too before they scoop the gelato in. During my third visit, I wanted something lighter so I got the Stracciatella & Menthe chocolate in a piccolo size cup (2 flavors allowed). Not as sweet as my prior choices. I sampled the Greek yogurt because one of the employees helping me said that's one of her favorites. It has the classic tart taste for sure and would go well with a fruity sorbet flavor. They also sell cookies! They have prepacked pints of gelato and you can customize a pint or a larger container to go. Will definitely return despite the high price tag. Who doesn't love gelato?

This place is delicious, though it's definitely on the pricier side. I sampled several of their gelato flavors, and they were all so rich and flavorful so I ended up sharing a scoop with my friend. I got a scoop of the hazelnut gelato, which is one of their most popular flavors. If you're a fan of Ferrero Rocher chocolates, you'll probably love this. I stopped by around 2pm weekday and the line was much shorter than I expected based on other Yelp reviews. There's both indoor and outdoor seating available- I sat outside on the patio and noticed a strong sewage smell which was unappetizing.

This shop smelled heavenly from the outside. I was lucky enough to stop by while there was a small line. The staff were all so nice and patient when I asked to sample so many flavors. I ordered a small stracciatella in a cup lined with pistachio cream. It was a fantastic combo. I loved the options to line the cup or cones with pistachio cream or Nutella. Great gelato option near the movie theater. I shall swing by soon.

This was a little hidden gem in my opinion. It's located in Santa Row next to the movie theaters. The had many different options of gelato to choose from. The associate helping us was very helpful and they were generous with samples and recommendations. They have two sizes, a child or a regular cup serving. My daughter got a Greek yogurt flavor, which a little on the tarte side. I had a sweet cream with vanilla cake flavor, which was amazing! If you're at Santa Row or in the near by area, this is a definite go to for sure! Not only do the have great customer service and yummy gelato, but they have a cute indoor and outdoor area where you can set and enjoy your gelato and/or pastries. My daughter and I chose to set outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. I liked that they have a co eyed shaded area as well as tables in the sun, that way you can choose which ever you prefer.

This is one of the best places to have a gelato PERFECT! The service was spectacular!

Strawberry sorbet and shortcake were a perfect combination on a hot day. It was delicious. Service was ok. Felt like the employees were irritated at the customers. Could see it on their faces. Seating is very limited here.

I'd been hearing great things about this new spot from a friend and finally got the chance to check it out. Located in the always-lively Santana Row, Bacio di Latte fits right in with a super bright, beautiful, and minimalistic interior. Be prepared for a crowd - there was a massive line out the door, and we waited about 25 minutes just to order. Also, because it's so busy, seating is very limited compared to the amount of foot traffic they get. Flavors were Absolutely delicious! Every scoop we tried was incredibly high-quality. The only tiny critique is that the pistachio cream flavor could have been a little thicker, as it felt a bit watery. We went around 9:00 PM (they close at 11:00 PM), and unfortunately, a few of their most popular/famous flavors were already completely sold out. The scoop sizes are definitely on the smaller side for the price point. For anyone looking for plant-based options, they do have a vegan choice, though it looked like there was only one available. Staff were wonderfully nice and friendly despite how packed it was. The ice cream was so good that my friends and I completely forgot to take a "before" picture - so I'm just leaving photos of our empty cups as proof of how much we loved it! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and don't mind a bit of a wait.

Ajay K.

Is it expensive for what it is? Yes! But is it flavorful and worth the hype? Also yes! The pistachio is one of the creamiest I've had in the US. Love that they also let you sample a few flavors before you choose - they all looked lovely and delicious!

You have plenty of options at VF, but Venchi holds a special place in my heart as it's not too heavy, not too sweet, and really has a flavor for everyone. My previous go-to was a certain store located outside known for unique flavors that rotate every month. Unfortunately, their flavors have gotten a bit too crazy for me, and are oftentimes so sweet that it's hard to finish a single portion without sharing. At Venchi, I can easily eat a regular size by myself and feel so satisfied after. One thing to know before you go is that you pay first before you sample, so you'll need to commit to how many flavors and what size you want before sampling. I highly recommend upgrading to the freshly made waffle cone. There's a lot of other options like adding chocolate and other toppings to your cone, but that's completely up to you. As for the sampling, the people working there are very patient and generous, and will let you sample to your heart's content! If you have specific preferences (like you prefer less sweet or maybe even more sweet), they're happy to share their recommendations as well. My go to is pistachio and cremino, which is like a more hazelnutty version of nutella (and also less sweet than nutella). PS - make sure to sign up for their rewards program! They're running a promotion where you get a free mini bar of chocolate with a purchase of $20. After spending $40, you'll start getting 5% off future purchases.

Even though the line wasn't long, it did take awhile to order. The service here is a bit slow since there are less workers compared to other gelato spots. I got to sample a few different flavors and it was hard to choose just one. I ordered the small cup with chocolate inside w/piedmont hazelnut. It was so yummy. The texture of this gelato is more thick and it wasn't too sweet. The hazelnut flavor paired well with the chocolate inside. I would definitely come back again!

This is my third time at Marco Polo and it really hit the spot. The location is in Vietnam Town, on the far right side, next to Pho 90. When I went this time around, there was no lines but there were still people sitting in the store eating their desserts. Parking here can get tough because of the plaza itself so just a heads up to folks who do not frequent the area. What makes Marco Polo so special is their Asian gelato flavors that you cannot really get anywhere else (that to say a lot of places are now expanding their selections). This was the first spot where I could finally get my hands on durian gelato and it was absolutely delicious. The store itself has around 3 tables for you to sit in and is pretty bare boned. It is good for a grab and go but with the limited seating inside and outside you could spend some time here. Service is quick and you are able to try out some samples. This time around I ordered black sesame and Pandan, while my partner got mango and lychee. It was near close so they ran out of mangosteen unfortunately when I went. While the flavors were great, stood out, and were bold, I will say texturally it was a bit icey for my liking but that might have been because they started crystallizing from being out for a while. Overall, this is a small business I will continue to support!

I could tell she was doing her best to keep the line moving along but felt kind of bad that she didn't have any support. Thankfully, by the time we finally got to the front, another person came out from the back to help scoop, and a third to handle checkout. I planned on getting a medium with two scoops and knew I wanted passionfruit but was torn between lemon and coconut, so I asked to sample both. The lemon was good, but I preferred the creaminess of the coconut, so I went with that. The coconut was yummy, but the passionfruit was amazing. That alone is worth a 5-star review. My mom got the Bombolato with Croccantino Amarena (sweet milk with sour cherries and chocolate chips) and Capriccio (hazelnut with chocolate spread) topped with chocolate and chopped hazelnuts. What I had: - Lychee Matcha (double matcha, regular sweet, regular ice) - Yuzu Matcha (double matcha, regular sweet, regular ice). Double matcha was not overly strong or caffeinating to me (love that they do not charge extra for this option btw)- my caff tolerance I'd say is relatively high or above average for sure. Surprisingly, at that matcha level the taste is not overly bitter at all. And the regular sweet is perfect (I normally get 50% sweet at boba shops). Same with the ice level, I think their regular ice level is fine (I normally get less ice at boba shops). The Lychee matcha has great lychee taste, not artificial tasting, it's a great blend of both lychee + matcha. The Yuzu is leaning towards the 'lemonade' profile without being overly citrusy. More refreshing than the lychee matcha, but both are refreshing anyways due to the nature of their flavors! I think I prefer the lychee matcha normally, honestly hard to say which flavor is better! I thoroughly enjoyed both these drinks! Their flavors are blended well with the matcha- not overly sweet in flavor, and matcha is great quality while not overly powerful or bitter. Drinks are of course mixed well and composed nearly perfectly. ---How I Rate on Yelp:--- (5 stars): Exceptional!! -- food, service, and atmosphere all outstanding. Worth going out of your way.
