They're so popular that there's nowhere to enjoy the ice cream except our car. The gelato is quite good. It's significantly better than Eataly or Venchi. We got the smallest cup with two flavors. Both the mint chip and strawberry sorbet were good, but I'd like to see more fruit flavor gelato (not sorbet) flavor options. Keep it up and this place will do great. read more

First timer the other day and luckily the line wasn't too long when we got there but that changed fast in a few mins during lunch time. We sampled a couple flavors; cafe carmallate (think I spelt it wrong but it was caramel & coffee) which was really good and then salted caramel which I think is fine as candy but not as gelato..a lil salty for my liking. The first time I came by, Devin and I happened to be at Santana Row. He said this spot was really good so we stopped in for some samples and a small gelato. The second time, I was working remotely with Matt and looking for another spot with outlets, decent WiFi, and good air conditioning on a hot day. I figured that a gelato shop must have good air conditioning, and luckily all of the tables inside with outlets were available when we stopped by. If you didn't already know, Matt and I are trying to be fit for summer so we're watching our diets. Gelato doesn't fit the diet well but we were lured in by the free samples, and after sampling most of everything in the display case we figured we would split a regular without completely falling off the tracking train. We got the Dubai chocolate, paradise cake, and hazelnut chocolate flavors. I knew we had to get the hazelnut chocolate since it was highly recommended by the staff member the first time I came, and it was also one of the two flavors that I got with Devin. Matt and I agreed that the hazelnut chocolate was both of our favorite. All of the staff members I've interacted with have been really friendly, they do encourage you to try as many flavors as you want! The music choice was a little confusing because gelato is Italian and French music was being played during both visits. As far as a spot to work remotely, there are only a handful of indoor tables and only one that was big enough for two laptops so it could be a good choice during an off peak hour. I totally look forward to my next visit and would recommend it to just about everyone. We like the Bacio Di Latte in Pasadena and was really excited to see them open here in the Bay Area. The location here is 10/10 -- the ice cream is light but creamy, and you can tell the quality of the ingredients is good. The fruit in the ice cream tastes fresh and doesn't have that chemical taste. Their tiramisu has been my favorite. Their regular cup lets you choose up to 3 flavors. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I do see the line dying down after the sale & hype is over. The line does move at a decent pace. It's next to the movie theaters so there is very limited street parking. Most are the free 90min garages. Great addition to Santana row! We need more dessert options here especially quality gelato. Yummm! This place opened next to Mendocino farms and we stumbled upon it while having dinner around here. It's 50% off until Thursday so take advantage! Our two items were less than $10! My affogato was tasty. I got 2 scoops, pistachio and the regular crema and it all melted in with the espresso well. The gelato was smooth and creamy. The 3 chocolati one was sooo good! The staff was really friendly and let us sample and explained the process to us. The line went pretty quickly and the ambiance was really nice. Well lit, seating inside and outside, and nicely decorated shelves that make the spot bright and airy. One of the staff told me this place is headquartered in Brazil and has 200 locations there. They have 18 in the US. I need to try their waffle bowl with pistachio coating anything! But man. Dear lord, this is the best gelato around. The staff were super welcoming and warm, urging us to ask for samples and to ask questions. I got the pistachio and Liana's Shortcake (basically their version of Good Humor strawberry shortcake bar), both of which were very intensely flavored. The shortcake flavor also managed to maintain the perfect cake crumb and crunch of the bar's outer coating, something many other places struggle with that can negatively affect mouthfeel. Pistachio is silky and studded with whole roasted pistachios, the most pistachio of all pistachio flavors I have ever tried. My friend got the raspberry sorbet and enjoyed it a lot. Secret - not so secret- go at non peak hours and you can try the samples in peace and decide the one you want! The quality and intention behind the creation of these gelatos are evident. They were creamy and rich, and NOT ICY, which is essential in a gelato. They offer cone customization and limited topping selection, but they also have a brownie cookie that I will have to come back for. You can also pack various size containers of your favorite flavor to enjoy at home. Stop by before the heat gets even worse and that line gets even nastier. Love it love it love it. I visited on a weekend around 3-4 PM. The store wasn't busy at all, and there were plenty of staff working. My friend and I each asked to sample two flavors, which is a completely reasonable request and something the store allows. Unfortunately, one staff member, Diana, made the entire experience unpleasant. From the moment we asked, she rolled her eyes, spoke to us in a noticeably rude, dismissive tone, and shook her head. What stood out even more was that she looked over at another staff member, made eye contact, and shook her head again as if we were being unreasonable simply for asking to sample flavors. I have no idea if she was having a bad day or dealing with something personally, but there was no excuse for treating customers that way. The shop wasn't busy; we were polite and simply following the store's sampling policy. As customers, we shouldn't be made to feel like we're inconveniencing someone for making a perfectly normal request. Whether this is a part-time job or a full-time career, basic customer service, professionalism, and common courtesy should be expected. I sincerely hope Diane learns to treat customers with respect, as this level of attitude is unacceptable in any customer-facing role. As for the ice cream itself, I tried the Pistachio and Blueberry(seasonal flavor). They were all high-quality, and I also liked that there was both indoor and outdoor seating. The prices are definitely on the expensive side, but the product itself was worth it. It's disappointing that one employee's behavior completely overshadowed what would have otherwise been a great experience. This was, of course, my personal experience, but Diane's attitude genuinely ruined our weekend visit. I would gladly return for the ice cream, but I honestly hope I never have to be served by her again. read more
