I've been meaning to go to Bacio for years and I finally made it and was impressed. Service and food was great. Smoke parking was available and the shrimp was was yummy.

We went here for the first time as an early New Year's Eve dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's very cozy inside with exposed brick and dimmed dinner lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had a reservation, arrived a few minutes early, and were seated immediately. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We got a nice table near the windows where we could enjoy the sparkling lights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I chose the butternut squash ravioli as my entree. We started with the Parmesan shrimp as our app. Warm bread was delivered to our table as well after we were asked if we were interested in getting some. Everything was delicious. The shrimp was nice and hot with a perfect coating of parm keeping it light and tasty. Ravioli had a nice topping which created a good contrast of textures. It came in two sizes and the smaller portion was more than enough for me. We finished our meal with a shared crème brûlée. Creamy custard and a crispy top was a perfect end to the meal. Service was excellent. We were well taken care of and never felt rushed despite it being a very busy night. Great stop.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful outdoor patio and friendly staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Margherita pizza was one note and the cacio e pepe was also lacking in flavor where I would not get it again. However, I would recommend the ahi tuna crisps and the creme brûlée is amazing. Overall had a pleasant experience and love the location.

I live in the area but had never been before but came this week for dinner and was impressed! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is so pretty and I love the stone detailing through the center of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is Italian food and I got the saffron risotto which was delicious! They were able to make it without the cheese which was great too. The server was attentive and our food came out quickly as well. Difficult to find parking though so plan accordingly because it gets busy!

Busy parking lot with Marshalls right next door but there are plenty of spots. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great energy and vibe as soon as you walk in the door. Fancy casual feel and is family friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server Dave was definitely a highlight of the night. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and was very attentive and friendly. Great service just adds so much to the entire experience. Order: Started with the bread service. There is nothing better then warm fresh bread and whipped butter. Brasiliana salad with lemon vinaigrette. Great crunch from the crisp cold lettuce. Hearts of palm, fresh tomato and shaved white onion added great complimentary flavor. But the surprise taste was from the thinly sliced celery..just enough to be interesting but not enough to be overpowering. Make sure to add fresh cracked pepper and parmesan cheese. What I really appreciated was that they pre split the salad into two separate portions for our table of two. Asparagus ravioli. Visually was a stunning dish. The homemade pasta had great texture and the right amount of chew. The filling was the essence and celebration of asparagus. Little crispy bits of pancetta on top added the crunchy texture. Chicken piccata with homemade angel hair pasta. This is a destination dish. The bright buttery lemon sauce with capers compliments the fresh pasta perfectly. The chicken was crispy, flavorful and juicy. I could eat this dish every day and never be disappointed. Cherry apricot crostata with vanilla gelato. Perfect dessert to end the meal. What is a CROSTATA you're asking? It's a fancy way of saying if a pie and tart had a baby. It was flakey on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The filling was perfectly balanced with the tart cherries and sweet apricots. The vanilla gelato added the creamy element and created the perfect sauce as it melted from the warm crostata. Overall: Great atmosphere, great service and great food.

Bacio has been around a long time and makes really nice Italian food, provides great service that makes you feel special, and has great ambiance. Prices are pretty modest for the level of quality you get, which makes it a great value for a special night. And it is a more unique place that you don't get as much out in the suburbs. It can be pretty busy, so I would recommend reservations. Three of us went there for dinner recently and had a great experience. The food is fresh and tasty, with great ingredients and attention to attractive plating as you can see from the attached pics. Great for a romantic date night (but if you're old like me, the menu may be hard to read in the dim light! ;)). They also have a great happy hour, but again the bar fills up quickly!

Met my friend here for dinner couple weeks ago and it was my first time here. It's a beautiful place with great service. Food is good but nothing to rave about. Our server was great but I can't remember her name. As soon as we were seated a basket of bread with butter was brought over to us. The bread was really soft and perfect with the butter. We decided to skip apps since we wanted to save room for dessert. My friend ordered the Wild Mushroom Ravioli and I got the Braised Short Rib Papardelle. The Ravioli was delicious stuffed with mushrooms and had sherry, goat cheese, tomato, cream, evoo and arugula. I thought the Goat cheese was going to over power all the other amazing flavors but it was very well balanced. It was a very delicious dish and my friend loved it. My Papardelle was too al dente for my liking and my friend agreed with me. Our server took my dish back and brought a new one for me. It was way better the second time but felt like the Papardelle could have used another 30 seconds or so. The flavors were very good with sherry, cream, mushrooms & herb gastrique. The Short Rib was so tender it just melts in your mouth. We opted for two desserts the cherry-apricot crostada & the Budino. The crostada had a well balanced sourness and sweetness to it. It was a perfect ending to the dinner. The Budino was a molten chocolate cake with vanilla Gelato and chocolate sauce. The cake was so moist and delicious and very chocolaty. Perfect if you are wanting some rich chocolate cake after dinner. All in all it was a good experience.

I have never been here before and a friend invited me to brunch before doing some shopping. The location has ample parking, and as you approach, you find yourself by a beautiful patio that is well decorated and gives the feel of being in a quiet Vinyard. The inside was absolutely beautiful, with lots of arches and brickwork. We were greeted right away by a very kind staff member and taken to our seats. Our server was Tania who was absolutely amazing. She provided prompt service while keeping the mood light and fun. There was lots of laughter and fun providing us with a delightful dining experience. We ordered a bunch, and it was packed with flavors. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the potatoes were perfectly cooked and not soggy or dry. The wine list was fantastic, and the mimosas were ice cold, unlike some locations where it's lukewarm and tastes like watered-down oranges. I hope to make another trip there soon to try the rest of the food. Thank you Tania for the amazing experience!

We stopped in here after visiting the mall. I was amazed by the beautiful decor and we received pretty good service. Tortiglioni Rossa and the beignets were my favorite! There is a large spacious parking lot that is in front of the restaurant yet detached from the overall mall parking lot so it isn't overwhelming.

A very cute spot! Based on where it's located, I couldn't tell from the outside how large it is on the inside. The decor is great! There's internal rock work and a large open roof. It almost feels like a nice get away. I had the roasted cauliflower calamari. Both were tasty. Though I was surprised how good the cauliflower was. It was roasted and service on smashed cauliflower with a delicious sauce on top. I'd return just for that! The calamari can be ordered in a small or large size. It is by the oz so the number of pieces will vary. I opted for the large thinking if I got full, I could take some home. The large order was rather small. I don't think it would be worth ordering the small. We were greeted nicely upon are entrance and thanked king upon our exit. The waitress seemed nice enough. However, my friend noticed other tables around us being brought the house bread. We weren't even offered it. Not sure why. That was definitely a miss. Overall, nice place. They also have a patio. I'd like to get back out there before the summer ends. read more

Chef's kiss! Honestly some of the yummiest food I've had in a while. The cocktails and food was divine. We came as a group of 5 so we eat got a different drink and meal combination. I got the pork chop with Chimichurri sauce and sautéed vegetables! The burst of flavor was strong (in a good way). I got a keg lime pie martini and it was very smooth and frothy. Looking for a perfect happy hour location? Look no further than Bacio! This restaurant definitely have a full blown Italian menu but this review is going to ignore that and focus only on the happy hour menu! First thing to know is every day they offer happy hour from 3-6pm in the rather large bar section. *Be sure to let the host know you are there for happy hour.* You can find their happy hour menu online but most of the dishes are between $9-13 and we have tried SO many of them. They also offer happy hour drink specials including some mock tails and Izzys. (Honestly Bacio should employ me with the praise I'm about to sing.) Now normally at Bacio you get bread and butter but when we come for happy hour we have to ask for it #noshamehere. That bread is honestly chefs kiss! We started of course with Izzy's and some ciders off their regular bar menu. Here's our opinions on the dishes: -Walley tacos ($11 for 2)- not always available but delicious and a hint of spicy. Mmm -Ahi Tuna Crisps ($13 for 6ish)- great for sharing and unique. Lots of textures here! -Parmesan shrimp ($12 for a plate)- great for a group, we were shocked at the amount. -Tortiglioni Rossa ($11 for a small plate)- yummy! we normally share the pasta between two but it's a small dish. -Caico de Pepe ($10 for a small plate)- classic! ^same info -Braised meat balls ($10 for 3)- easily cut in half. Would be great with the bread! -Shirt Rib Tacos ($11 for 2)- we ordered two of these and this was the star of the show! -Salsiccia ($13) best deal for sharing, it's a large pizza that's thin and perfect! -Chicken Satay ($11 for 4ish)- great for sharing, peanut sauce made it even better. -Chicken tenders ($11 for 5)- major pass- over done We love stopping by Bacio, fair warning that it adds up quickly. This is not your Apple Bees $5 happy hour. This is quality food that's made fresh and they offering smaller plates for happy hour. I'm a fan and I'll continue stopping by! read more

This was my first time here. We were a group of 5 and all left happy. Our waitress Courtney was phenomenal with service and explaining the menu thoroughly. The blood orange margarita was wasn't too sweet or too boozy. The wild mushroom flatbread has Brie cheese and taste amazing. The crust is perfectly thin and crispy. I ordered it as an appetizer and shared with the table. The sauce on the pasta was delish! Things I didn't get a picture of - we shared a sampler of bruschetta; caprese salad. The Mediterranean risotto is hard to envision but it's well put together. If you don't like fresh mint you should pass. The best thing was the coconut shrimp risotto with clams and white fish! We had brunch at Bacio's this weekend and everyone enjoyed themselves. The food was very good. Everyone ordered breakfast items. I had the mushroom spinach omlet with crisp hasbrowns. Very good, wish I had a side of hollandaise to pour over it which would have elevated it to perfection. Our waitress was attentive, but got the orders mixed up of who ordered what. That was not a big deal overall. One thing I must point out to management...you have a beautiful establishment, so when I see numerous chairs sitting againt a wall with huge rips and their stuffing exposed, for goodness sakes, get them reupholstered or replace them. They are an eyesore which brings down the dining experience. read more

Stopped in last night and sat at one of the seat yourself tables in the bar area (I love that they have that option!). We had asked how long the wait was and we're told over an hour! Understandable for a Friday night obviously so I was happy to see open tables in the bar area! Our server brought us bread right away, loved that too. The chicken parm was exactly what I wanted, the apple arugula salad was delish and so were the sticky ribs! We were sharing everything and our server had the chef split the salad and the entree up onto two plates for us, appreciate that so much! Will for sure be back. read more

I will first say the food at this place deserves more than three stars, but this is a mere 5 stars for an overall experience. Prices were a bit higher than average for this kind of place. Service was also good. No complaints at all, they were above average. Ambiance was "ok". It was nice and dark, but very loud. They also have a ton of 4-person booths and very few tables for larger parties so plan accordingly. What removes the 4th star was the win. While they had a good wine list compared to most, the bottle prices were also higher that necessary and they aren't keeping their wines chilled to a proper temperature. This is a major beef I have with this area. If you are going to be charging us $80+ for a bottle, it better not come to the table over 55 degrees (red) or 46 (white). The $90 Pinot we ordered was marked up 3x and wasn't even room temp it was hot. (the whites we ordered were proper temp). Five of us walked out of there with a $480 bill and we only had one cocktail and two bottles of wine (neither over $100) for the table. Because of this we probably won't go back which is too bad because the food and service were great. read more

Bacio has gone way down hill in service and management. A once great restaurant, now the service is slow and poorly managed. The menu is tired and the food mediocre at best. There are far too many places to eat in Minnetonka to waste your time at this disappointing place. read more

Had a very nice kid free evening with my husband here. Started with the Ahi Tuna appetizer and it was light, fresh and delicious. Side Cesar salad was a good size and very good too. My husband got the shrimp Alfredo and said it was delicious. I had the butternut squash flatbread and it was good. Ended the dinner with crème brûlée and the Kara Mio martini and they were both amazing. So happy we tried this place. Service was friendly and fast. Bar area was seat yourself which was great because we didn't make a reservation. I would recommend a reservation if you want to sit in the dining area. read more

Came in on a Wednesday night without reservations and only had to wait a little bit before being seated at a hightop. Even at the hightop we received good service despite how busy it was. It seemed like there was two different vibes that could be going on. One area to watch sports and have apps and another area that would be good to bring a date. read more

Great spot for Italian food. It's quite busy, but that's because the food is delicious and the drinks are crafty. I recommend making a reservation if you plan to go here on a weekend evening. The fresh bread and butter is absolutely delightful. We ordered the crab cake, spaghetti, and the tortiglioni rossa. I will say that $23 for one crab cake is a bit steep in my opinion, but boy was it good. It was so good that my sister with autism tried to fork the entire thing into her mouth in one bite (lol). The food came out pretty quick for being so busy, I was very much impressed. Will definitely return! read more

Great atmosphere! Loved the high stone curved arches and ceiling. All three of us were happy with our meals. The Margherita pizza had a chewy crust with great char and flavorful sauce. The Mushroom ravioli was al dente and mild. The filet mignon sandwich was done perfectly and came with the biggest pile of shoestring yummy fries. The chocolate cake dessert was rich and dense like the best brownie. Mmmmm. I guess I am a fan. ;) read more

One night we were looking for a place for dinner near our hotel in Minnetonka near Plymouth Road so I went to Yelp and found Bacio. The first thing that struck us upon entering was the old world decor and how busy it was. People who were seated seemed to be having a good time, the vibe was livery. Upon arrival we were seated immediately and our server quickly greeted us. Being it was our first time at Bacio our server made some great recommendations for cocktails and from the menu for appetizers. The shrimp toast appetizer was unique and enjoyed by all at the table. I ordered my usual vodka martini with two olives, it was at that moment that the server asked if I wanted bleu cheese stuffed olives, it was a pleasant surprise/offer which I gladly accepted. I ended up ordering the porcini crusted dry aged rib eye steak which came out with a large steak covered in mushrooms on top of the cheddar mashed potatoes. It was fantastic and while I was struggling to finish it I didn't want to leave any behind. My wife had the lasagna which was also a large portion and very good. Everything we were served was fresh and full of flavor. We finished the meal with the gelato which did not disappoint. We highly recommend Bacio if you are looking for a nice restaurant in the Minnetonka/Plymouth area with great service, food, and ambiance. read more

Bacio happy hour is chefs kiss and their dinner food is also fabulous. Love their patio in the summer, and their small bites if you're grabbing a small dinner with girlfriends. Great for a family celebration dinner for their regular priced meals. read more

This was my first visit & we had such a beautiful spot on their large patio. We snuck in at the beginning of happy hour & grabbed the Ahi Tina Crips, Calamari, and some cocktails on HH prices. The Ahi Tuna crisps were my favorite & really tasty! I ordered a flatbread with was super really nice. It was pretty big for the price & the crust was great! The staff was nice & service as a whole was great! Looking forward to visiting again in the future! read more

Bacio deserves more praise than many of these reviews that give less than 5 stars. I travel for work weekly, for 27 years, and I recently found this place... I at here daily for the 4 weeks I was in the area, and I have to say that I not only never had a bad meal, the staff were all lovely, ALL the pasta is made fresh daily (which is something that can't be said for a lot of Italian places), the happy hour menu has some good pricing and treats. Pizzas are all delicious, though I do prefer the pastas and fishes personally. Steak is also an option, and as a former Texan who is very serious about my beef (which is hard to get any northerner to cook properly), they were able to meet my requests here. This is a solid 5 for food. A solid 5 for staff friendliness and general interactions. Also a solid 5 for ambience and welcoming environment. If you have't tried Bacio, you should definitely give it a go. Ciao! read more

Best experience I've had at a restaurant in a LONG time! Business dinner for 4 on a busy Friday night. Ordered numerous items. Everything came quickly, perfectly prepared & tasted amazing! No wilted lettuce or parts to pick out of my salad. My filet mignon was delicious, I didn't even request steak sauce. Their pizza is equally fantastic, better than many local pizza joints. The entire staff was attentive, prompt, welcoming & accommodating of special requests. At 7pm on Friday there was moderate noise but we didn't find it too loud for our conversation. I love the dimmer lighting (adds to the ambiance) but there was also a small lamp at the booth, that one of my colleagues turned on for more lighting. The place was packed but there's ample (safe, well-lit) parking so it wasn't a problem. Great location, easy to find, right off 394, close to my colleagues hotel. I've gone to Bacio's before and have usually had good food. Tonight, I ordered the walleye ($38.95) and it was probably one of the most disappointing meals I've ever had. Honestly, the fish tasted like Mrs. Paul's fish sticks over what tasted like cold boxed mashed potatoes. No vegetable, nothing else on the plate except for 2-3 thin little pickled tomatoes slices. The fish was all mushy and the whole meal just plain unappetizing. It even looked sad. read more

Another awesome experience at Bacio! I left a glowing review a few months back and today attended for a business meeting. Another flawless experience. The food: the waitress explained what the Dill pickle chicken sand which was and how they made it. The entire tabled ordered it and it was incredible! Perfectly breaded and fried chicken. Got the chopped salad instead of the fries which was an awesome substitute. The blue cheese was fantastic. Service: our waitress was 5 stars. Staying engaged but respecting the vibe of our table. I have never experienced such blatant disrespect at a restaurant until visiting Bacio. Server, Ashley, treated our family horribly, and what shocked me most was the way she spoke to our two-year-old child. She looked at our child and said, "Ew, don't touch me." There is absolutely no excuse for an adult -- especially someone working in hospitality -- to speak to a child that way. What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of accountability afterward. Ashley showed no remorse for her behavior and continued to be disrespectful, while management did absolutely nothing meaningful to address it. No apology. No attempt to make things right. Not even the basic decency of acknowledging how unacceptable her behavior was. As the only non-white family in the restaurant at that moment, the way we were treated felt deeply uncomfortable and dehumanizing. The fact that management defended Ashley instead of addressing her conduct spoke volumes. It gave the impression that this establishment is perfectly comfortable allowing employees to disrespect customers and their children without consequence. Visiting Bacio for the first time was a fantastic experience! The interior is absolutely beautiful, with an ambiance that feels both chic and welcoming. It sets the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. The drink menu was so much fun, offering a wide variety of options. I went with the green tea and honey spritzer. I decided to go for several appetizers, and every single one was delicious. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavor, truly couldn't pick a favorite. This is a favorite spot with my friends in the West Metro, however I had yet to dine. We arrived at lunch around 12:15 p.m. and the place was already packed, inside and on the patio. I could not believe how many women were dining, had to be at least 75% of the guest base. We decided not to wait for a table so we sat at the bar. The bartender was extremely helpful and actual had a couple of stories to share, which mosy bartenders should have. We ordered various appetizers to split and we all loved the calamari. Our entress arrivedd in a timely manner and all tasted great. Now I know why my friends enjoy this place. read more

Had lunch here with a group. Everything was good. A little overpriced. Came back about a month later for dinner... Dinner was for sure overpriced and underportioned. Example: ordered the large portion of lamb linguine. Barely any lamb, this might be the only restaurant I've ordered pasta at where you don't get bread with it. My girlfriend's chicken under the brick came out with like one small sauteed mushroom. Both her and I agreed we should have whipped around the corner to the cheesecake factory instead. read more

Excellent food, well-crafted drinks, and a great dining experience overall at Bacio near Ridgedale Center. The dishes were flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared, and the cocktails complemented the meal perfectly. The worst place ever racist asf. One of the workers were so rude and was bullying innocent woman. Don't let me get started on your food it was nasty as hell. can't surprised cause white people don't know how to season. I can't believe I wasted my money on y'all. My friend and I arrived late-eve. We were seated in a cozy booth right away. The atmosphere was excellent. Both servers that stopped by the table were great! Patient and very accommodating. We ended up with a great meal to share together like we like to do. I only was not partial to the caramelized broccoli. Personal preference I guess. Be aware that theft is going on their parking lot and management of this restaurant does not want to do anything about it. It has been happening for years. I even know the person who tried to sue them for this. One small camera would have solved the problem. Food is OK, but not great and is not worth the risk of stolen property and broken windshield. read more

This is a great restaurant for special occasions, nice dinners, business lunches. It's a good value but definitely not cheap. We splurge and visit occasionally. The waitstaff is quite attentive and the kitchen is creative and flexible. They are usually great at dealing with allergies, and rarely falter. read more

I love this place! It has been a staple for so many years and they still have amazing food that never gets boring. They have the most amazing tomato basil soup and I love the Parmesan crusted shrimp. I eat here regularly and I would highly recommend it to anyone. read more

The tomato soup is the best! Love the little croutons on top. Always ask for extras! Bread basket is always fresh and warm with nice soft butter. The truffle fries are sooo good! Always get them with the herbed ranch! read more
