Had a reservation on Labor Day for 5:30 for my birthday with friends and it was absolutely wonderful. Our waiter (did not catch his name sadly) was phenomenal!! Give that man a raise! Served all 10 of us and was happy doing so, and food came out super quick, and he was extremely friendly, and took some photos for us. Wonderful service, great food, and a very nice restaurant! This is a hometown fave for me. Whenever I return home to visit Minneapolis, Bacio is on the short list for an easy, delicious meal out. Good vibes, super kind staff, killer happy hour, and great food! We had the beef carpaccio (which is an appetizer but I had it as my entree and it was perfect when I wasn't too hungry), the pesto crusted sea bass, and the shrimp scampi pasta. Nice classy ambiance. My boyfriend and I were served at the bar by Eric. We ordered 2 different cocktails, a Caesar salad, the filet mignon, the filet mignon sandwich, and a lemon blackberry dessert. Cocktails were wonderful, Eric was very knowledgeable about our drinks and the pairings with the food. Steak was served as ordered, very tasty. Everything tasted great and was locally sourced! Curbside take out leaves something to be desired. Ordered 2 pasta dishes and a dessert over the weekend. First off had to call and order via phone as we couldnt find an online order link. Makes us value how easy online ordering is vs phone based. Onto the food, both pasta dishes were good overall, just hard to keep fresh for to go by the time we got home but that's no fault of Bacio. What really left us disappointed was the dessert. We looked at menu online but when we called apparently they have the wrong menu posted online as options were different. Had to make an on the fly decision and went with the berry cobbler. Photo attached. Not sure cobbler is intended for large flat take out box. Needed a small round soup type bowl or otherwise, wound up with mashed cobbler smeared across the dish. Also serving size of gelato with it was more of a garnish than a serving. I know its tough on restaurants these days but $9 for a dessert, without the in restaurant experience was no way close to worth it. read more

They have a good bar seating area that is perfect for an early dinner with an option to order off the happy hour menu. 5 stars - Heirloom grain salad - Farro, spinach, red pepper, avocado, tomato, provolone, reggiano, lemon, evoo. I like that this is not an overdressed salad. The spinach had the perfect chop to it that made it easy to eat. There were good sized avocado and provolone chunks. Everything in this salad was evenly distributed and the ratios of the ingredients were spot on. So good! 5 stars - Creamed corn - I don't usually have creamed corn, but I felt like trying something different. And oh boy was this the right choice! It was a comforting side dish. Good balance of savory and a little sweet from the corn. The other items tried at the table got raving comments as well: turkey burger, fish tacos, and a Caesar salad. I decided to finally give this place a try after eyeing it for years. With restaurants slowly starting to re open up, I was a little iffy on dining in. We were greeted outside as soon as we arrived by the staff and guided inside. Everyone maintained a distance and to my surprise diners were all spread out pretty far out from one another. The menu was a pretty good size. I couldn't decide what to order, so i decided to try a few different things. I ordered the calamari fritti, ahi tuna crisps, pepperoni pizza, fettuccini alfredo with chicken, and for a drink I went with a blood orange margarita. Calamari Fritti - sm $13.95 / lrg $19.95 - I went with the large, which to me looked like a small. This comes with a lemon garlic aioli dipping sauce and standard marinara. OMG the aioli takes the cake. The calamari was cooked perfectly. Crunchy and not too chewy. Tasted delicious without the sauce but the aioli takes it up a notch and you just end up dipping everything in it. Ahi Tuna Crisps $16.95 - This comes with seared tuna on top of wonton crisps, avocado, and a sweet soy sauce drizzled. This is AMAZING! The tuna is so soft its like butter and melts in your mouth. Its hard to find such great tuna in MN. All the flavors compliment each other so well. Pepperoni Pizza $15.95 - This was probably my least favorite dish. It was pretty standard. Fettuccini Alfredo added chicken - sm $16.95 / lrg $22.95 - For $22.95 the portion was very small. The dish fools you, big dish small portion in the center. It was delicious and creamy. I will say, one of the best alredo's I have had in a while. Blood Orange Margarita $9.50 - This is Sauza blanco tequila, cointreaum and agave. DELICOUS and refreshing. Must try! read more

Bacio has always been a stop for me when I am in the Ridgedale/ Minnetonka area. Yesterday we stopped in for a glass of wine, only to be surprised it was HH. They had a wonderful happy hour menu that complimented the wine. The tuna crisps are wonderful ($5). I am a huge fan of the tomato basil soup! It's thick, rich, and lots of bites of tomato. The salads are great and my favorite is the chopped. They have 2 sizes available if you are not super hungry. I also love the flat bread pizzas and the pasta. The warm bread is pretty much evil and I cannot seem to pass it up! The service is impeccable here! Bacio has a unique look... There is lots of exposed brick which gives it a warm feel. Huge bar area. Free wifi (which should be everywhere), and patio is great in the summertime. See you next time I need a break from shopping! read more

Bacio is a fine place to stop in for a cocktail and some appetizers or a nice Italian meal (or, in our case, both). Everything we ate was pretty tasty, prepared well and of high quality. Our favorite appetizer was the tuna crisps -- the menu name is fancier but tuna on a crispy cracker basically. Yum. For an entree, I got the gnocchi bolognase, which was very good. The portion was really big and the gnocchi were perfectly soft and airy. Others at our table got a number of other items, all of which seemed to be devoured quickly. I appreciated some of the small touches, including frequent water refills, the seamless transition from happy hour to our dinner reservation and the fact that they always bring the entire table's food at the same time, even if extra people are required for carrying plates. I did not appreciate that the waiters bringing the food for the table next to us all lined up behind us so closely that at first I thought we were going to have one of those situations where someone tries to deliver you another table's food. One of them even noticed our discomfort and told us about the three entrees that he was carrying since he sensed that it was kind of awkward for him to be hovering over our heads with three plates of food. Happy hour was good, with good drink specials and a good list of specially priced apps (including the tuna crisps). I did wish the beer selection had been a bit more diverse. It seemed like super light Belgian or IPA were your two basic options. No good tasty wheat beer, red or stout type option. I wound up drinking Surly Furious (which is a fine choice) but would have possibly picked something else if provided the opportunity. In all, a good solid Italian restaurant. But perhaps not so craveable that I'd be making a special trip any time soon. read more

Maybe in my top 3 of all time which is crazy to me because it's basically in a mall parking lot. The drinks were fantastic. The bread was the best I've ever had. We made lunch reservations to celebrate our granddaughter's 16th birthday because she loves Italian and seafood. Bacio fit the bill. I like that they indicate the sources for the proteins on their menu. We shared the fresh PT. Judith, RI calamari appetizer with a lemon aioli that was plenty for 3 and tasted quite fresh, although some pieces were a bit tougher than others which can be expected with calamari. Our g-daughter ordered walleye Milanese; a generous portion of walleye, lightly crusted on a bed of mashed potatoes, and garnished with small slices of marinated tomato. This is not even close to traditional Milanese cooking, but she thought it was okay. My walleye sandwich on a homemade toasted bun was $5 less but only ¼ portion of walleye than hers with a large heap of delicious homemade, skin-on French fries. Good, but a fairly boring sandwich. My wife ordered a ham and cheese omelet off the brunch menu with a large pie-shaped portion of hashbrowns. She loved the Thielen ham and Widmer's aged cheddar, but there was no toast - strange. We ordered their delicious tiramisu to share and expected it was complimentary for her birthday, but it wasn't. Overall, very good fresh dishes that were minimally plated, lacking attention to details that would have made it a great experience. read more

Servers are excellent and know the menu inside and out. They can make suggestions to help with meal choice. The food is unbelievable. You feel like you could be in Italy dining at Bacio. You absolutely need a reservation, and if you want to sit outside on the patio in the summer you'll wait even with one. However, dining inside is delightful. Service is excellent, attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is bustling but booths and tables are separated so you don't feel like you're hearing other's conversations. The menu includes something for everyone; on my last visit I had the chicken Marsala, and I can highly recommend it. Perfectly cooked with one of the best sauces I've ever had. My friend ordered the linguine with lamb and loved it. A basket of fresh bread is brought to your table upon arrival and is delicious. A glass of red wine was a perfect accompaniment to the meal. I didn't have time to try any dessert, but I'm guessing they are delicious too. Prices are mid-range. I spent about $50 including tax and tip, but a person could easily dine for $20 by ordering a pizza , salad or appetizer. Many of the pasta dishes are available in 2 portion sizes, too. Once restaurants are able to reopen I plan on getting back to Bacio as soon as possible. read more

We were excited for experience at Bacio after reading reviews. A perfect date place with lovely atmosphere. The lighting and brick are nice. But, we were both really cold while dining. Our check after 20% grat $140. A delicious apple manchego salad, split. It was a nice portion along with bread and butter. Da Marre was ample ribeye cooked very nicely. But then this: Brussel sprouts, terrible and I guarantee that those sprouts passed through 5 sets of hands before it ended up in front of my partner. Mushy, over charred and not edible. Our server was nice, but said we could have ordered something different. We shouldn't have left disappointed, but we did-$140 later, for 2 dinners and coffee. No alcohol or dessert as it wasn't offered. read more
