Always an absolutely awesome meal! Our favorite place in Eagle without a doubt. Jambalaya was fantastic.

The bread and the opera cake were good - made offsite as I understand it. Unfortunately not a stellar dining experience otherwise. * In response to the comment from the owner, Michelle - wow, you are something else. We did not encounter you in the restaurant at all. In fact we had very pleasant and friendly exchanges with your staff. The quality of the food and the gimicky wine situation is not their fault. It was our efficient and friendly server who told us the opera cake was made by a French baker in town and not in house. Just a thought, but in looking at other reviews that are not positive, you seem to always blame the customer. Why is that? 2nd follow up. This is becoming strange and a little embarrassing for you. We don't do snark, especially with a server who is clearly doing their best and for something that isn't their fault. We actually had very pleasant interactions with our server and zero interactions with you. Aside from some quality issues, we enjoyed our evening. It's interesting that someone in the hospitality industry is more concerned with arguing and calling guests liars than trying to understand their perspective. read more

This place is unbelievably RUDE!!!! My parents are brand new to Eagle ID and we saw this cute restaurant while driving around and decided around 1 pm to make a reservation for dinner for 3 and a baby. The waitress working assured us that a reservation wasn't really needed and we would be able to sit inside or outside no problem. So we decided to make a reservation for that night. Later in the afternoon we called to to change the reservation by one hour and they said absolutely no problem. This is where it gets upsetting. We come on time for our reservation and the waitress who took our reservation informs us she only has a table for two not 3 and no baby unless we sit outside. We told her unfortunately cause it's 93 degrees out and we have a baby that's not going to work. We explained that she had told us when we made the reservation that it wouldn't matter if we were inside or out and now we can't even be accommodated at ALL??? Really????? She then said she would see what she could do. So then another woman who was maybe a manager / Owner comes over and says the same thing and basically lets us know they are full for the night in the entire restaurant with reservations and there will be no way they can accommodate us unless we want to sit outside with a baby in 93 degrees. Its now after 7 pm and we have to find a new place for dinner. There were also plenty of tables inside not being used, yet zero accommodations were even offered to be made. We come from the service industry and understand things happen but to have zero flexibility especially when it was the restaurants mistake is unbelievable. Also when we told the manager/ possible Owner that this was very disappointing and unfortunately we won't be back she smiled at us and said OK BYE! Really??? We won't be back and it's unfortunate because this place seemed like it was going to be a great place to celebrate my birthday. In response to the Owner Michelle's response to my review I would like to also say, Michelle was not there when my mother and I made the reservation earlier in the day.... Only the waitress was during a not very busy lunch hour. The waitress was very nice and very accommodating when we made the reservation and again assured us we would be able to sit inside or out when we came in for our dinner reservation that evening. Again Michelle was not there so how would she know what we were told!!!!! Michelles VERY rude responses and flat out lies about this situation just proves how entitled she feels as a business owner by bashing and insulting a potential customer. It was absolutely the restaurants mistake and telling me I sound like a entitled spoiled child is not only unprofessional but also shows Michelles true character. Having grown up in a small family business my whole life I can say we would NEVER in our business treat or respond to a customers review in this rude insulting way! Beware giving your business to this woman... she doesn't deserve it!!! read more

We just had the best St. Patrick's Day meal ever. Corned beef and cabbage with potatoes and carrots sounds pretty standard, but somehow Bacquet's made it into a gourmet feast. There was plenty of food for two people, but on top of that they included a shepherd's pie. Also pretty standard fare, one would think. Lamb, some vegetables, stewed under a pile of mashed potatoes. But once again, they turned a low brow meal item into a truly delicious dish. We have had many good meals at Bacquet's Restaurant, and will continue to go there frequently. read more

The service was exceptional, our salmon and duck were delicious & my favorite part is that there's no wine list..instead you walk over to the "wine library" where the staff will help you select a bottle according to your taste or your dinner selection! Alright, I've been here a few times, and I've decided it's not worth visiting. This restaurant is definitely pricing itself for high expectations, but the food is at 70% of being great. Honestly the appetizers are really good, but every entree kind of fails in one way or another. If you are expecting incredible French food, I would keep searching. read more

I frequent Eagle a lot for work and often hit the same spots. This one was a great find. The ambiance was great. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food options were many, so making a choice was tough. I had the rack of lamb...OMG. The bread and butter were out of this world. The French onion soup was good, just not the best I've ever had (per the menu). All in all, a wonderful experience. read more

First and foremost, the food here is wonderful and the portions are enormous, especially the seafood pasta. The owners of the restaurant are some of the most pleasant people I have ever dealt with in the restaurant business anywhere, let alone in the Treasure Valley. We called rather late to make reservations for a large party on Fathers Day and they squeezed us in at 7:30 with the normal time for closing being 8 pm (I didn't know that until we arrived). Every single person at the restaurant was extremely nice and helpful and they got us tucked into a nice quiet corner right away. Our servers got our drinks and appetizers right away and made suggestions as to which wines would pair best with our choices (the Vouvray white is absolutely outstanding if you like a light, slightly sweet wine). All of our food was outstanding, their French bread is flaky and delicious, and after we were done, the entire staff, including the owners and his wife, were sitting on the patio patiently waiting for us to finish dinner. They never made us feel rushed and they talked my leg off while I was out there keeping the baby (who made quite a mess in her corner ) entertained. They are very gracious hosts who obviously love what they do. We will definitely be back. read more

Just left the most amazing French restaurant we have ever been to. Okay, it's our French restaurant experience but first impressions stick and so will the memories of the fresh bread, the most amazing French onion soup and the mouth watering scallops EVER! The tastes will resonate for years to come. The presentation of our dishes were absolutely mind blowing and totally worthy of an InstaGram post. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed and seated at an area which we could enjoy the ambience and at the same time enjoy each others company. We were celebrating our anniversary and this by far is the best anniversary dinner in our 23 years of marrriage.. I encourage ALL Treasure Valley residents to try Bacquet's in Eagle, Idaho. My husband and I recently moved to Eagle, Idaho and have been exploring the different restaurants in the area. Today we went to lunch at Bacquet's and dined outside and had Rene as our server. It was the most wonderful experience start to finish!!! When we first arrived and came inside we were impressed with the incredible ambiance. Everything from the aroma, music, chandelier and artwork made me feel as though I had arrived back in Paris. Rene greeted us and asked if we wanted sit inside or out. The day was gorgeous, so we sat outside, under a large umbrella, with string lights overhead, potted plants and fruit trees near by. They have managed to create a garden like setting in front of their restaurant. It is lovely. We ordered some white wine, and were promptly presented with glasses of water, our wine, and with a fresh from the oven crispy baguette accompanied by rosette swirl of fresh creamery butter served in a beautiful shell. This baguette was the best I have had, and I mean that.! So delicious. The problem is we ate it before my escargot came, but Rene quickly got me another.Bless him! The escargot was served in the traditional garlic herb butter in the shell, in the porcelain escargot dish complete with the appropriate utensils. The escargot were tender, and perfectly cooked, and the melted herb butter was rich and satisfying for dipping along with that crusty baguette! Then came the French Onion Soup. Forget what you have had elsewhere, this Chef knows how to really make it! It was filled with tender, sweet onions, a broth so rich and satisfying, it is hard to describe how good it is. Then loaded with Gruyere that was also perfectly toasted on top. It was heavenly. We had the rustic meatloaf and potatoes with mushroom sauce that was so layered in flavor. The meatloaf was moist with a perfect texture inside and nice crust outside, the potatoes where mashed with little tender chunks still abounding to add to the rustic feel, but the sauce, was next level! Tender mushrooms with a reduction of meat reduction achieving a depth of flavor that makes this dish no diner fare. The meal was truly exquisite. We had to get dessert! I know you get that we loved the food, but the layer cake was so good I called later to order a whole one for next week when we are now definitely returning for dinner with some out of town guest from Oregon! The cake really takes the cake. Light airy sponge with 4 layers of cream and 2 types of dark chocolate. Every bite, and crumb was eaten. Absolutely astounding! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here, and it was far better than I expected. I've never had French food before so it was a first for us. The atmosphere is so lovely. We had a wonderful waitress named Sydney (Cindy? I'm pretty sure it's Sydney. She's the one that looks like Gwyneth Paltrow!) We adored her! She was perfect! She has such a wonderful personality, and GREAT taste! All of her suggestions are exactly what you're looking for! I grew a pair and tried the escargot! It's actually not bad! It kind of has a seafood taste to it, even though it's not seafood, but with the flavors the chef adds, it was just so much better than I expected! The ravioli truffles were tasty! Sydney recommend the Parmesan crusted bass for me, and seafood pasta for my husband. Exquisite! I was so impressed! I was so stuffed, but couldn't stop eating! We had to get the full experience here so yes, we had dessert too! Once again, Sydney recommended another perfect menu item! It was an amazing lemon cheesecake! Too yummy! We very much enjoyed our dinner at Bacquet's. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and treated like old friends. They had great life music the night we were there. The menu was extensive and our meal was authentic. The chef/owner came out and talked to us and also made a wine suggestion. We had brought our own wine and I understood that they had a corkage fee. After speaking with the chef he suggested something comparable that was in their collection so it ended up costing us less than if we payed the corkage plus the cost of our wine. Plus it gave us the opportunity to try something new. We will be back ! read more

We ordered 2 prime rib dinners last night (Thursday). My husband picked the meals up after work. This was probably the BEST prime rib we have ever eaten. It was cooked medium rare. The au jus was perfect as was the garlic mashed potatoes and fresh carrots. Dinner came with a wonderful salad, bread from Gaston's bakery and dessert!!!! This is my neighborhood restaurant. I ask myself each time I dine, "why do I not eat here once a week?" Myself answers " because you will have to buy a new wardrobe"!!! Today I ordered the Croque monsieur. Thick crusty bread stuffed with French ham-laden with Béchamel-topped with Gruyère broiled (I think) to a golden brown perfection. Exquisite! And of course a lovely crisp dry French Rose to drink. I absolutely love this place... If you have not been here...you are missing out! Went to Bacquet's on a Tuesday night for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. An excellent experience overall. I was pleased and surprised that there was live entertainment, loved the music. I expected the music to be on the weekend.... The food was excellent. My wife had the scallops and I had the salmon special. Throw in an excellent red wine and it was two hours of bliss. The cost for two was about $90 without tip. On the higher end for Boise/Eagle but worth it I believe. Service was attentive. There was an error in the final bill but that was quickly corrected. read more

Please go to this restaurant and try the pasta appetizer and a main course. I did not fill up on the appetizer and was so happy I ate everything and could wipe the plate with the bread.
