It's next to Chipotle's by the mall. Order at the counter and they have sauces. You receive a beeper when the order is ready and the Server brings it to the table. Pretty clean place Workers were friendly. They also have frozen dumplings you can buy to take home.

Never left a review anywhere before, but I feel like I have to here. I ordered a pork chop rice, soup, and 6-potsticker combo--a relatively small and simple order. I waited 17 minutes, then came back in to check on my order. Two workers standing at the front by the cash register immediately went and hid in the kitchen. I finally caught the attention of the cashier who took my order in the first place. He proceeded to tell me, "Oh, your dumplings are burnt. You need to wait another 2-3 minutes." Yeah, no thanks. I asked for a refund and left. If you realized the dumplings were burnt and only waited for me to check on my order before making a new batch, something is definitely wrong. Also, how tf do you burn the potstickers when that's your #1 SIGNATURE DISH basically? Like, ever heard of a timer? Plus having the person manning the cash register put in the new batch is ridiculous. When there were 4 workers in the back standing around doing nothing. Would give negative stars if I could.

Beef noodle soup, kimchi potstickers, signature potstickers

Came on a Tuesday around 6pm for dinner. It wasn't busy inside, and we got our food within 5 minutes. The beef noodle soup was delicious, and so were the kimchi potstickers; but for some reason, the signature potstickers tasted a little off, compared to the ones I had at the Irvine and Santa Clara location. There is plenty of seating inside and the interior is pretty clean. Lots of parking since it's in a mall complex.

We just had the Van Nuys location and since we were at Cerritos mall we wanted to try it again! This location has free drink with the pork chop braised rice bowl. Again quite delicious! The place was spacious and had clean restrooms. We came at 1030a so it was still pretty empty but this mall is quite busy for the holidays.

This place is not bad. Dumpling fast food restaurant. They had Pepsi products and I'm not a huge fan of Pepsi. After ordering, they give you a number to sit down. We ordered the pork chop set and that came with a free drink. The pork chop is really tasty and crispy. The signature noodle is a bit mala, but is tasty. We also got the signature potstickers. They weren't that crispy, but still pretty tasty. I love the noodles, but they don't taste as good if you take it to go. It's a bit hard to go to as it's in the outside of the mall. There's no way to go from the mall straight out.

This is what Panda Express wishes it was. Super straightforward menu, sauce bar there with about 5 different options. The signature dumplings were long and tasty, the dan dan noodles (signature) might be a new flavor for you if you haven't had them before. Best eaten hot, lots of peanut in the sauce. Quick service. Chipotle nextdoor.

Delicious Taiwanese beef noodles and signature potstickers, prompt service, and casual and comfortable seating. Always a good pick for a quick bite that satisfies my stomach!

I've tried bafang before and I liked it but never to this location. I came here for lunch and ordered the Taiwanese beef noodles to try something different. The broth and noodles were good but the beef was not tender. It was quite expensive for fast food, I had better noodles at Mian or Northern Cafe down the street.

**August 2025: Sunday Afternoon Visit** My friend and I were in Cerritos and with a vibrant Asian community we decided to enjoy some Taiwanese food. The reviews looked promising and parking was abundant. Bafang Dumpling is located in a mall so there was plenty of parking. When you enter the establishment you'll see a very minimalist ambiance. It's also very clean and spacious. The price point is moderate and you pick up your order at the counter after your electronic number beeps. I tried the following -Old Fashion Noodles (4/5): The noodles have a nice chew and the sauce has good saltiness to it. It's a dry noodle, and the portion is very fair. -Order of 6 Potstickers (3/5): The potstickers are mid. Flavorwise they're acceptable, however, I feel like the filling is pretty sparse and it's kind of lost in the skin -Order of 6 Signature Dumplings (5/5): These are fantastic! The skin has a nice chew to it and there's plenty of filling that's very juicy. I would definitely order this again. Homemade dumplings are very time consuming, but if I'm feeling in the mood for 'em and was in the area I'd be open to come here. The signature dumplings are delicious!

I want to give them five stars. Food was delicious and the staff were friendly. My only complaint was that the tray they bring my food out was super sticky and not cleaned. So sticky even when I finished my meal the sauce containers still stuck to the tray. If they can do a good job cleaning the tray I would happy to give a 5 stars. Place was bright and spacious.

Would give more stars But the taste is inconsistent Went twice in a week for their famous pork chop bowl Early evening the portion and taste were wonderful. Next time went after 8pm and felt like the portion was skimpy and the flavor was lacking. Maybe because I had the bowl made to go.

Love the dumpling soup here. Combo deals have pretty good pricing. Beef noodle soup also tastes authentic. Minus one star for pricing, it's on the pricier side. I always come here for a quick meal when I'm craving authentic home tasting Chinese food that reminds me of my parents cooking

Just spotted this place as it has been a minute since I visited this side of the mall and saw Bafang Dumplings. I was in the mood for some noodles and dumplings, and boy did this place hit the spot. The moment you walk in, you are greeted and shown a very impressive menu filled with dumplings, noodles, and more. The restaurant was a bit cold, but that's besides the point. The potstickers were delicious and well made. The spicy beef noodles were excellent and very filling.

Nice menu, good selection, not as good as what I got in Taiwan, but friendly staff and clean setting.

Sad to see that their last day is May 11th. Would highly recommend people to try before their last day. Our latest visit was during lunchtime on a weekday. We were greeted upon entering and were told to choose whichever table we wanted. We ordered a Wintermelon Tea, Fried Pork Chop Rice, and the Century Egg Tofu. Food and tea came out quickly. Everything was so good and felt like comfort food that family would make. The pork chop was seasoned well and came with a tea egg, and vegetable sides of broccoli and tomato as well as soup. The tomato side reminds me of this tomato egg that we eat often. The century egg tofu was delicious. The tofu had a great texture -- soft, creamy, but also dense. The sauce that it came with was sweet, salty, and garlicky. The century egg was good. The winter melon tea was light on ice, well-balanced, and not too sweet. Overall, giving Formosan Restaurant a 5/5. Wish we started coming here sooner. Staff are nice, service is quick, prices are great, and the food is delicious. Highly recommend people to try if they haven't before. Will definitely be back before their last day.

And prefer it over many other Asian cuisines.* The reason I chose M's Kitchen over two other Taiwanese restaurants in the area? So many more vegetable dishes! And wow, am I completely grateful I did! We arrived on a Saturday evening, and the server and chef were both in the kitchen. The server came over and gave us menus before getting our drink orders. She was prompt in a very caring manner without ever seeming rushed. She had lots of suggestions as we asked questions about the menu. At some point, the chef was sitting with us, and she asked him clarifying questions for us. She even went back into the kitchen to find out which vegetables were the freshest (which I appreciated)! We ordered a cup of ginseng and goji berry chicken soup, chicken cream corn soup (with egg), ong choy with garlic, walnut shrimp, crispy tofu, and green scallion pancake. As each dish came out, it felt like different instruments in an orchestra being highlighted as they wove into the tapestry of the music. The ong choy built onto the soup, the crispy tofu onto the ong choy and soup, and so on! Until there was this grand harmony of pulsating flavors and textures! I thoroughly enjoyed each dish! I only wish I had a bigger appetite so I could eat more and faster! The server helped us to pack the leftovers. We spoke about how traditional Chinese and Taiwanese food get lost in the mix of more modern and fusion recipes and restaurants. I am also a loving fan of mom and pop dining because it reminds me of the many meals I have been gifted by the parents of friends and friends who have opened their homes and hearths to feed and nourish me in my life. I love feeling like I am visiting someone's family and sharing a meal together. This is how M's Kitchen felt for me! I am planning how many meals I can have here and who I can invite to experience the deliciousness soon! Please consider visiting! Even if you haven't tried Taiwanese food yet, this is a wonderful spot to start with!

Still, it's nice to know this place remains a reliable go-to whenever I'm craving a good drink. One thing I really appreciate is how creative they are with their seasonal menu. It feels like there's always something new to try, and there is always a drink I want to try. This time, I ordered the seasonal High Mountain Paradise with 50% sugar and lychee jelly. It was absolutely delicious, and the 50% sugar level was perfect. It was just sweet enough to bring out the flavors without overpowering the tea itself. The mango and guava notes were a bit subtle, but they paired wonderfully with the delicate oolong tea, creating a refreshing and well balanced drink. The lychee jelly was also a great addition, adding a little extra texture and sweetness with every sip. I'd also say this jelly was softer than the typical jelly I've gotten, which I really liked. The shop can get pretty busy, probably because they really do offer a little bit of everything. Besides drinks, they have a food menu that seemed surprisingly popular during my visit. I saw plenty of people ordering snacks and meals, and everything coming out looked and smelled amazing. I'll definitely have to come back and try some of the food for myself next time. The space itself is on the smaller side, so finding a seat during peak hours can be a bit challenging. That said, they do offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which helps.

I absolutely loved the crispy bottom layer because it added such a satisfying crunch to every bite. The inside stayed really juicy and flavorful with a good balance of pork, shrimp, and chives. The Juicy Pork Dumplings had soup inside, which was rich and savory. I've had soup dumplings before where the wrapper breaks apart too easily, but these held together nicely while still staying soft and delicate. The Wonton in Spicy Sauce was my personal favorite from the entire meal. The spicy sauce flavor was savory with a little sweetness. I'm typically not good with spice, so this is at a spice level that should be very manageable for everyone. I absolutely loved the spicy sauce, so I started putting it on everything. Definitely put the sauce on the chicken fried rice! The Chicken Fried Rice was a great dish to pair with everything else that we ordered. With several orders of entrees, a solid rice dish is a must order for any Chinese meal. The rice had a nice savory flavor that I enjoyed, and there was a generous amount of chicken mixed throughout the dish. I even asked the waitress if they do anything special with the fried rice because it tasted better than many other restaurants. It felt comforting and balanced compared to some of the heavier dishes. The Dry Fried String Beans were cooked perfectly with a slight crispness while still being tender. The garlic and seasoning gave them so much flavor that it honestly didn't even feel like I was eating vegetables. I do have to note that these were very much on the salty side, so if you don't like foods that are too salty, I would choose a different dish. The Orange Chicken was really crispy and juicy, which I appreciated because soggy orange chicken is always disappointing to me. The sauce had a nice citrus flavor while still keeping that classic sweet savory taste. The Spring Rolls were simple with vegetable filling on the inside with a crispy outside. I would try a different appetizer next time. The Kung Pao Shrimp was packed with flavor and had a really satisfying combination of textures. The shrimp were tender, and the peanuts added a great crunch to the dish. I thought the sauce had a really nice balance of spice and savoriness without becoming overwhelming. Another dish I really enjoyed was the Beef Roll Pancake. The pancake itself was nice and chewy throughout each bite. The sliced beef with green onions and sauce all wrapped together made every bite really flavorful and satisfying. For drinks, I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba. I really liked that the jasmine tea flavor was noticeable instead of being overly sweet like some milk teas can be. The boba had a soft chewy texture, and the drink itself paired perfectly with the spicy and savory dishes from the meal. Staff: All of the staff members were quick and friendly Ambiance: Indoor seating only. A good amount of parking in the parking lot that is shared with other shops in the plaza.

I called it a "themed" restaurant because the store was originally modeled after an elementary school 3rd grade classroom, the chairs, tables, bulletin board and blackboard, even the menu is sort of what you might find at a school cafeteria (of course much more fancy), there is a nostalgic, cute feeling for those of us grew up in Taiwan.
