At first glance, it looks chic and modern. We were the only ones in there and yet the customer service was very poor. The employee was rude and seemed bothered by us asking for an extra bowl for our toddler. I was very excited to see a fast-food style of dumplings, especially now with the colder weather but I was very disappointed with the taste. The food tasted like microwaveable frozen dumplings, very bland and not much flavor. I would not come back. I hope the taste and quality improves, if it does, I'm sure it would be more palatable. read more

Went here for lunch and had the #4 combo, Signature pot-stickers and Signature noodles. Both were ok -- reasonably good fast-food versions of dishes. The food is a bit on the boring side. For example, I wish the noodles came with some bean sprouts as shown in some of the pictures here. Service was convenient and reasonably fast. Place was clean and tables and chairs comfortable. I would like to try their sesame noodles, dumplings, and wonton soup sometime. read more

Meh. Big meh. My wife and I were interested in trying a new dumpling spot, so we thought we'd give Bafang a try. We walk into the restaurant and take a look at the menu. We decided to order a few different items: the spicy signature noodles, soup dumplings, pot stickers, and wonton soup. We wait at the counter for the clerk for about a minute and when he approaches he gives us a blank stare, so I politely say "Hello" to which we also receive no reply, just a blank stare. I awkwardly began to place our order, and I suppose the rest of our interaction was just fine. The food was super mid. The dumplings needed more flavor. Very bland. The pot stickers, on the other hand, were quite yummy and fried well. The noodles, not so much. I bet I could go to Costco and find a frozen bag of noodles that tastes the same. They have a unique tomato flavor, which is cool, but the texture is a little off, like the recipe called for more water. The wonton soup was hot and flavorful--if you're a fan of cilantro--but nothing to write home about. Overall, a mid-tier experience. If you're desperate for a decent meal, come here. Otherwise, spend your money elsewhere. read more

We tried three types of noodles and the Old fashion and Bafang were the best, the sesame was good but a little one note. The corn chix pot stickers and pork/cabbage pot stickers were amazing, thin skin and delicate and tasty insides. The prices are good too. They also have good sauces to try for your dumplings. Overall we were pleasantly surprised with quality and overall value. The service was good too. read more

The beef noodle soup had good broth but 3 pieces of beef which was overcooked for that price was a huge miss. Hot and sour soup was really good though. Dumplings were just ok but I'm not a fan of dumplings in general so take that as you may. Definitely expensive for what it is. It's at the mall so a lot of parking and staff were friendly. read more

Potstickers are great, I really enjoyed the kimchi pork ones have the corn chowder for the first time I had never had anything like that before I wasn't really sure what I was expecting, but I think if you like that kind of stuff you'll enjoy it I wasn't sure if there was shredded chicken in there or not. Orders come out pretty quickly you stand in line order at the register and then you go and sit down, it's self seating . read more

I love the concept of this dumpling place but I do not like the customer service. I love that they have Combo Meals but they only offer potstickers on their meal list. What if I don't want potstickers or fried food? What makes a difference if I want to swap my order out for boiled dumplings? This location says NO. WTF. Not cool. They said you can't Combo meal a swap. You must order separately. How dumb is that? The staffer said you can do swaps at Brea Mall. That makes no sense to me. Aren't you the SAME COMPANY? Anyway, get your act together Bafang. There's plenty of dumpling competition out here. SMH. I also didn't appreciate the fact that I ordered chicken/corn dumplings and got pork dumplings instead. I went twice to give a fair review first time I went I ordered the potstickers with a hot - sour soup second visit I got the dumplings with a wonton soup The potstickers are okay nothing special, hot n sour soup was my least of the favorite, the dumplings were more flavorful then the potstickers but still decent at best the best thing I had was the wonton soup which was my favorite item there which was very nice I give it at 7.6 out of 10 The sauces there were not great " hot chili sauce " was not spicy nor had flavor was watered down , the Garlic was lacking the garlic flavor, then they also had soy sauce and sesame' seed oil but i preferably didn't want to use those on my food so in general they didn't have a nice sauce to complement the food. The best thing about the place was the modern look , how clean and well put the place was with its unique layout and then the service was good only thing that's was weird was that when I went to order the the 2 people in front of me got a gift from the Cashier which was a new bag they were giving out to customers but I didn't receive one I didn't think anything of it and then the person behind me got a bag too so I just thought it was unwelcoming . read more

Potstickers we're cooked perfectly! It had a light crisp to it that just hit the spot! The dumpling soup was amazing! A proportioned mix of veggies and dumplings. The noodles are high quality, but the soup in the beef stew noodle was too light. Loved the original flavor potstickers. Did not enjoy the corn one as much. The place is good especially for its cost. Was excited for this to open, and went to the "soft" opening for dinner. I ordered the potstickers and wonton soup, and hubby got potstickers and noodles. We both thought the food was just ok, not great. The potstickers were very oily. I am one of those people who think that cilantro tastes like soap, and the soup was full of cilantro. Wish I knew that. The soup did have a good number or wontons in it, and they were tasty. Hubby said the noodles were just ok, probably would not get them again. I placed an order for pick up. After hearing raving reviews from a colleague, I assumed the service was going to be great, but I was mistaken. My food order was incomplete, I was missing several items, the girl at the front was not friendly at all and didn't bother to check my order, i had to go back to get the missing items and still I was missing an item. I drove more than 12 miles to get my food and it was very upsetting to get home and still be missing items, even more upsetting after being told that my order was completed... how hard is to double check the order or believe the customer... read more
