I came here because my siblings and I where so tired of the same mall food. And we were pleasantly surprised. The food here is delicious and bountiful for the price you pay! I got the #2 which comes with won ton soup and crispy pot stickers, the soup was flavorful and hot! With big juicy won tons that kept the perfect consistency in the broth. And the pot stickers were nice and juicy while also staying crispy. They also have a nice spread of dices here like soy, sea same seed oil, black vinagre, and garlic sauce and when you mix them together you get the best dipping sauce for your dumplings! I recommend everyone going to try this place! I gave it a 4 stars tho because although the staff is nice they kinda disappear while you're eating so we waited a while to ask for a to go bag. read more

The filling and wrapping are the same, the only differences are that the potstickers are crispy because they're coated in some flour and pan fried, and are long and thin shaped. I prefer the steamed to the crispy texture. The veggie filling at Bafang is really good! They don't skimp on the protein and it's very flavorful. 6 pieces for close to $6 is also a really good deal for dumplings nowadays! read more

I came to this new location during lunchtime. The place only had about five people total inside. I've eaten at this restaurant before, but at the City of Industry location. The place is very spacious inside. The person who took my order was very helpful, even though I was somewhat familiar with their food. My food came out quickly, and everything tasted as expected. Been here 5 times, never had an awful experience, worst thing was they ran out of napkins for five minutes but refilled it after. This is kind of like a dumpling fast food place. I say that because you don't really sit down and eat and get served, wait is around 10 minutes for your order. It's at the corner of the mall so parking for here isn't as bad as it would be if you were to park closer to a side entrance of a mall. I wasn't super impressed by their dumplings and pot stickers, they were good though. They have 4 different kinds, my favorite to order is: Chicken & Corn (preference for potsticker over dumpling) Mainly because I like corn and I feel like the other kinds are more common though they will recommend the Bafang Signiature or Kimchi & Pork more often. They offer noodles, soups and others too but I prefer less oily foods and the noodles were more heavy/they aren't really known for their other things. Bafang opened two locations in both Cypress and Cerritos within the past month, but I am writing about the Cerritos location. I ordered the #8, which is a combo that includes the fried pork chop, with a side of noodles (of course), pickled cucumbers, and a drink. All of that food for $15.00? Talk about a deal!! The fried pork chop takes me back to my days when I was in Shanghai a few years back; the pork chops didn't taste dry nor mealy and there was a perfect amount of noodles to compliment it. Sure, it's no Din Tai Fung since there's a big difference in price between the two, but if you like great Taiwanese food but a bit tight on the wallet, Bafang Dumplings is the way to go. Came here on opening day and it was terrific. Yesterday I came back to try other items on the menu, along with redeeming that certificate for a free combo. So all in all, I've tried their Pork chop (10 out of 10, just wished it was bigger!) Kimchi Dumplings (6 out of 10, I'm a purist) Cream Corn Dumplings (7 out of 10, Not bad but didn't see the value) Traditional Dumplings (8 out of 10, Good but definitely could be better) Hot and sour soup (10 out of 10, just add black vinegar for 11 out of 10) Potstickers (8 out of 10, you really have to eat these immediately) Traditional noodles (6 out of 10, good but doesn't really satisfy) Spicy noodles (8 out of 10 the first time I had it on day one and 7 out of 10 on the second time I had it because the mala flavor didn't come through. I feel that they had changed it maybe because it was too spicy for some. I am going to try it maybe one more time and ask them to make it spicier!) BTW, if you're sitting right next to the register it's the best place if you like it cold with the music next to you. I really enjoyed the meal, along with the AC and the music they had by Music Travel Love. One of the workers there used her playlist for the restaurant and it was totally relaxing. The only thing I think it could be better is the fountain drink / condiment bar. Not a fan of Pepsi products and the sauces seems to be a bit ho hum. Cheap and quick eats! Bafang is a fast casual noodle and dumpling chain restaurant located next to chipotle in the Cerritos mall! My favorites are pork chop, signature noodles, kimchi pork potstickers, and hot and sour soup. Most individual items are under 10 bucks, and they have combo sets for around 13ish. Honestly at this day and age, pretty hard to fill your belly at a restaurant for less than 15 bucks. Is it the best food you've ever had? Probably not. But for the price and convenience it hits the spot. You order at the counter and get a buzzer. They also have a very convenient online order option, just look up bafang dumpling order and it should pop up (be careful to check the location before you order though!) On a personal note, I used to love the Panda Express hot and sour soup before they got rid of it, and Bafang's hot and sour soup is even better, for around 3 dollars it's filled with meat, tofu, egg, and mushrooms! read more

Went here yesterday (Monday at 8pm) and enjoyed everything-food and service is excellent! Went again today (Tuesday at 8pm). Food is still good. BUT service is terrible! Went indite and not even a greeting. The employee with pink hair is very rude. She talks to us and to other customers like she's very very angry. One customer even asked her where are the dipping sauces and pink haired lady looked at the customer very annoyed. While we were eating we even hear fighting with other employees. Its an open kitchen so you could hear their arguments inside. Food is definitely 5 stars. Its just very dissappointing to have met an employee with that kind of attitude. No greeting, no smile. I will still come back but probably not on a Tuesday. I don't want to see that pink haired lady being rude to customers again. Especially this is an asian restaurant. The one saving point was that the skin was thin and had a nice chew to them. The combo also came with a hot and sour soup. This was also just mediocre. It was neither hot nor sour. This review is for my experience at the Grand Opening on Friday 5/10/24. We came around 11AM and I set my stopwatch to see how long it would take. It took exactly 1 hour from where I was standing in the picture to when I got my food. That was pleasantly surprising because there were so many people and the line was consistently moving. Opening day had promos like Free Shirt for the first 50 people, Free Combos for the first 100 people. We were late but still got a Free Cooler bag for a $35+ purchase. The Cooler Bag was really good quality, the inside insulation of the Cooler Bag had a plastic lining so it's more durable and worth the 1 hour wait haha. Food This place is really popular in Taiwan as a quick and cheap option for dumplings. In the States, they have definitely brought the same standards. I am pretty critical when it comes to dumplings and Taiwanese food as I am Taiwanese but this place really exceeded my expectations. It was cheap, great quality, and quick! Corn Soup: 4/5 Sesame Noodles: 4/5 Spicy Wontons: 4/5 Dumplings: Varies 3-4/5 Service No complaints here, even though they were super busy the staff was very accommodating and welcoming. They were frequently walking around and cleaning up the sauce area. Overall, I'll be happy to come again if i need a quick dumpling fix. They took over the place where Mod used to be and made it so much more spacious and atmosphere was pleasant and lots of space for friends to gather! We tried the kimchi dumplings, signature potstickers and the signature dumplings. We also tried the sesame noodles, wonton soup, hot and sour soup and pork chop. The service was great we were greeted from the moment we walked in and told the employee it was our first time, he was super nice and helped us through the menu and gave us great recommendations. I was hoping that I would like it, but it just had way too much cabbage in the actual dumplings that it overpowered the flavor and texture. Each bite was lacking meat and flavor, there were not that many flavors to choose from compared to other dumpling places. Located in what used to be MOD Pizza next to Chipotle at the Los Cerritos Center aka Cerritos Mall, it faces the parking lot so it didn't require you to physically walk inside of the mall which is a plus if you want to grab and go (one star). The old fashioned noodles were bland, but there were dipping sauces available (one star), however it still couldn't save the flavor. No matter if you ordered the dumplings or the potstickers, the filling just had way more cabbage and the meat was almost just a smear. This was my first (5/13/2024) and last time coming here. I would rather go to Northern Cafe if I wanted better quality dumplings in the area. Sorry, this place was just not to my liking, not for me. read more

The beef noddle soup tastes exactly just like the way back home. The portion is large. The presentation looks exactly like the poster on the walk. The beef is very tender. The soup is delicious and not oily. The sour vegetable is also perfectly made. The environment is very clean and large. I especially love the music selection.
